Default ReShade- Tips and tricks please!
Now I have a capable computer, I've downloaded the latest version of ReShade and installed it, and am having fun messing around with the settings. I'm having a few issues, but in all it's a lot of fun.

I've been trying out other players' presets, and trying to make a few of my own. I played around with Pineapple's shader mod back when that was new, and had fun taking screenshots, but couldn't really play in live mode with those settings active. But some of the ReShade presets people are sharing are fun to play with, so perhaps people could recommend the ones they like.

Also, if you have any tips or tricks for me, please share! So far I've found the Dof settings to be glitchy (many people seem to experience this!). The only way I can get it to work is to add Pineapple's shaders to my downloads, but of course that breaks some of my other shader files, notably Lazy Duchess' lot lighting fix which is a must-have for me! I'm also finding the interface a bit non-intuitive (maybe it's my brain ), so if anyone has any ideas for making things easier- or pointing out the obvious- please do tell me!

I'm using DX10 not Vulkan, so some of the effects in the ReShade install files don't load for me. Does anyone use add-ons that make their sims experience better with ReShade? Do you all use it for everyday playing, or just for taking pretty screenshots?

My game is working pretty well otherwise, I've stuck with DX10 because I'm not having an issue with any pink flashing. Should I switch to Vulkan/DXVK for better ReShade fun?

Please let me know your experiences and ideas!

My tips:

1. If you didn't know, sims 4 reshade presents work for sims 2 so if you see one you like out there on tumblr or elsewhere that's offered from a sims 4 player and you like it, you can download and use it!

2. If you ever have this kind of shadow/imprint problem where you see outlines of objects not aligning when the camera is stilled, that's the MXAO part of the preset that's checked, and if you turn it off, it fixes the issue.

Uh oh! My social bar is low - that's why I posted today.

Brilliant, thank you @Charmful !

I was messing around with SSR today, trying to make reflections. Had to do a fair bit of messing with the graphics rules to stop things flickering, but it seems to work!

Also- some fog.
