Crappy PC.

Ok, so my computer really sucks. It was fine until I put this high speed internet on it. Now everything runs as slow as solid piss.

I first noticed some issues after I loaded my Photoshop CS3 Extended on the PC. I used to be able to run alot of programs at once. I could have my Sims game, PSCS3 or PSP 9, Yahoo Messenger, my WM Player or Winamp, and the internet open, and have no issues what so ever. I had bodyshop open, I had my internet on (which it's broadband, so it's always on), and my PSP 9 open. I had just opened AIM, and the computer gives me a dialogue box that says it doesn't have enough memory to load my program. It went good for a few minutes, and then my computer cut off.

I reboot, and my internet wont reconnect. I'm on a wireless connection, so I tried to repair the connection, that wouldn't work. I used system restore and restored the settings of the previous day. That got the internet back to working.

My motherboard won't suport more than 512 mb of ram, so I know that is the problem. It's supposed to be able to hold up to a gig, but when I bought a gig of ram, the PC wouldn't boot. So in conclusion, I have to completely revamp my system, or basically build a new one.

I'll need a new motherboard that will support at least 2 gigs of ram, a new processor, graphics card, sound card, and I want to hardwire my broadband so it doesn't loose connection every time the power blinks or something.

I've had alot of problems with these new speakers I bought. They are 5 speaker surround sound (by Logitech). I bought a two channel sound card, since that is what I supposidly needed for all 5 speakers to work. Well, I don't think my crappy ass motherboard supports that either. Because only 3 of the 5 speakers work, which sucks considering how much I paid for this set up.

I also want to upgrade my LCD monitor from a 17 in. to 20 in. The monitor is only two years old, but I might as well upgrade it too.

The last thing I'll need is a new case to put everything in. This old one is a peice of living crap. I liked it for the first year I had it, but now it looks like one of those things from Star Trek. I'd be thrilled to see it burst into flames. I'd like to get a black and silver case with transparent blue sides. I know one like that exists, I've seen it somewhere, just don't remember where.

Lastly, I just got a 200 gig hard drive. Now, why would I need more space than that on my PC you ask? Because I'm crazy. Yes, I'm going to upgrade that too.

In other words, my PC is a peice of junk, I need a new one, and I'll be broke as hell after buying all these parts next week.

Oh Sheyza,
I'm soo sorry that your computer's like that. My computer downstairs is pretty wierd too, but I don't know much bout that kinda thing so I pretty much never ever touch that computer and just stick to the laptop I got for Christmas. Which works pretty good.....except for that one problem I have that has something to do with my video card not working with the sims. All I know is the walls are blinking red - all the time. Sad thing is that's become normal for me....

god, have all the computers gone weird?
mines been crashing every time it loads,
then comes back on before windows starts up.
it sucks that i consider it normal now, it's not the software but the hardware which means more trouble and upgrading.
