Ed (and Ciara)

Ed grinned, tugging his own helmet on, glad she seemed to be more comfortable with him. "You hold on tightly." He revved the engine and they shot off like a rocket, Ciara barely having time to grab the bottom of Ed's leather motorcycle jacket.

They reached the gym in about five minutes, which was really surprising given how far away it was. Ciara showed him where the phone was, and he pressed a number he knew off by heart.

"Heya, it's me--oh, hey Seannie," he said with a chuckle as his male housemate answered. "Just wanted to let you know I'm gonna be out for a while, so don't wait up for me, okay?" A girl? "Yeah, yeah...she's called Ciara. Nice girl." Gonna sleep with her or something? "Who are you and what have you done with Sean?!" I've been around you too much. Answer the question. "Ugh, no, of course not--I know I'm not a gentleman, but I wouldn't dream--" Hi Eddie, it's Em. "Oh, hi Emily. Why did Sean hand me over...?" He says you've got some girl with you. "Oh, yeah, she's called Ciara," he repeated. Ciara, eavesdropping outside the room, smirked at what she could hear of the conversation. I just don't think it's right for you to be with a girl. You know what happened last time... "Oh Em...you know you're the only woman in my life." Here he snickered. Shush Eddie, you know full well...oh, it's useless when you're like this. I'm going out tonight on a date with Bryan now. "Yeah yeah, okay, have fun out with your boyfriend. Give Seannie a kiss and a good book to read, okay?" From you? "Of course. The world knows I love Seannie." You should really tell him. It's not right. Anyway, I have to go. Love you! "Yeah, love you too, and Seannie. Bye Em." Bye, Eddie! He hung up the phone.

"Ready to go?" Ciara asked, popping her head around the door. She was dressed differently, he noticed.

"Er, yeah," Ed said with a shaky smile. "Let's roll!" He put on a forced smile and hurried out, Emily's words echoing in his mind.

I just don't think it's right for you to be with a girl. You know what happened last time...

...you know what happened last time...

Damian & Esther

Hearing the office doors open, the dark wood grazing the soft cream coloured carpeting in a hushed whisper, Damian looked up. Although expecting to see a Nosferatu, he still blinked when his gaze landed on Esther. Despite being an Elder, he never had gotten used to their wretched appearances.
However, blinking once was the only sign he gave. He didn't wrinkle his nose, like most would have, nor did a hint of disdain show in his eyes.
Quite the opposite really, as Esther's polite and proper manners seemed like a breath of fresh air, after having dealt with that unruly Brujah, Cade.

"Prince", she greeted him, bowing slightly.

She even held her bow, immediately seperating herself from most of the other Primogen. They all seemed to have a problem with showing him the respect he deserved. Granted, most of them behaved really well and watched their manners, but few of them could hide the look in their eyes, telling him they'd rather just flip him off, in the rude, modern way of dismissing someone whose presence you didn't quite appreciate.

Pleased with her already, he gave a nod accompanied by a polite smile, and motioned for her to approach and take a seat.

"Esther", he said while putting his expensive silver pen back in it's black marble stand. "You're most welcome, although I didn't expect you so soon. My proclamation must've travelled with a most nimble messenger."

Although sounding very much like a simple statement, there seemed to be a question lurking in his words somewhere.

As Bee danced trying to get the drama out of her, someone had knocked into her. She felt so anger already that she just went and sat by the bar. With the loud head banging music in her ear she could barely think. She knew she looked stressed. She decided to do what she does best. She went and sat at a booth. Observing around she saw a few good looking human faces. She had sired a few people before. But that was a lond time ago. And a long way from here. She want even sure if they were still in existance. Bee thought about going to Minas cafe and relaxing. But Bee liked being around people. She didnt often go to bars or club. Just went she felt like it. Even though she liked being around a lot of people she found it to be too tempting sometimes, thus why she usually stayed in a dark alley way watching. Bee had promised herself tonight was going to be a different night. She wanted company and she be damned if she didnt get it. Like she wasnt already.

“A funeral? Really, who died? And why do you receive the honour of deciding their journey through?”

Alric's eyes danced with a bizarre look of amusement, one that could hardly be tied to the typical norms associated with the discussion of funerals. There was no look of grief, no indication of remorse or solemn sorrow. No, glowing in his eyes was a hint of interest and pleasure. But overlain upon those expressions was, most of all, respect. It was true; Alric adored his job. Why shouldn't he smile when talking about it? Oh, right. Because it wasn't viewed as commonly acceptable to grin when referring to the death of someone else.

"A Ms. Beatrice Harriford. She was a dance teacher at the studio down on Vineland Boulevard," he paused, nodding out the window with a sigh. "She tangoed to her death. Literally. She danced her way straight out of a fifth-floor window." A faint smirk danced with charm over his lips, but he suppressed it. No sense in making this mystery woman think he was some sort of lunatic. "Apparently, she was showing her dance class how to keep the head high by looking at the ceiling, and the window had been left open. The children had called out to her, but apparently it was too late for poor Ms. Harriford." He clucked his tongue in a sulky manner, as if chastizing the deceased woman for not having been more careful. "Poor children...having to see that," he brought the mug to his lips and drew in another sip, the thin plumes of heat-smoke swirling about his face. He then remembered her second question.

"It's my job." his husky voice resurfaced again, a short statement that left so little explanation. Another sip, a deep swallow, and a low, bristling breath that reverberated behind his ribs, then he set the mug down. "I'm a funeral director. Youngest one there, so they give me most of the bizarre deaths to handle because they're too stuffy to figure out how to celebrate a life that ended in a...creative, way." Alric leaned back in his chair lethargically, crossing his arms over his chest as he gazed at her. "I hope you don't take me for some morbid, twisted lunatic? I simply love caring for the dead. They're far more agreeable than the living."

----

“A beautiful name,”

Vevila let her head roll into a fluid, gracious nod. This girl was magnificent at slipping compliments at the precisely appropriate times, masterfully stroking the Toreador ego as if it were some common, easy to train house cat. In fact, if one listened close enough, they could almost mistake the soft melodic breathing seeping from Vevila's lungs for the gentle humming purr of a cat. There were features of the feline about her, to begin with; the inhuman grace, the raw beauty, the undulating movements of her body, the silence of her steps, the piercing, unnatural eyes...

"My name is..."

A pause. This made Vevila quirk a curious brow. Why the hesitation? The girl's heart skipped suddenly, the pace quickening and slowing in an almost abberant fashion. It sent a flutter through Vevila, her own dead heart pulsing with life so near to it. Uneasy? The bluey sanguine eyes fixed pointedly at the girl, a faint smile playing upon her volumptuous lips. What could she possibly be hiding in that name of hers? Names were, after all, often the key to the inner workings of the individual.

“Michael. Michael Hidenburg. It is an honor to meet you as well, Miss Roemer.”

A single hand moved ghostly slow between the two of them, and Vevila's gaze dropped to it, like an owl observing the frightened movements of a mouse on the forest floor beneath it. There was a warmth, however, laced there, that wasn't as threatening as the gazes that she had beheld in other vampires. The humanity that lingered in her made oscillate between more human than inhuman, more vampire than mortal, constantly stradling the great divide.

Her cool, silky hand moved with a glide to gently take the girl's hand into her own. Vevila's touch was like a soft, unconscious caress, soothing the other hand that was engulfed in it's mysterious contact. She did not shake it, but she did not bring it to her lips to plant a gentle kiss upon it. This girl seemed on edge to begin with, and that most likely would have only set her off further. Instead, Vevila held it carefully, her ginger touch merely reassuring the girl of her kind and delicate nature.

"Michael...like the boy's name?" A luxurious laugh bubbled past her crimson-hued lips, a pleased smile capturing them. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she went on, a more serious air about her. She delved into her mind. "'Like the lord'. The Archangel who battles Satan." There was a distinctly indecipherable expression settled over her captivating features before she spoke again. "How positively charming."

Zillah and Carmilla the Haven

As Zillah moved closer Carmilla took a step back, moving away from him as she laid her hand on her chest. To him it seemed a defensive gesture as though she was putting the barrier of her hand firmly between them. Just what was she so afraid of? Did she think he’d jump on her in front of all these people? Although he was hardly a gentleman he was far from a brute. No he was more like a cat, never to be tamed but willing to purr affectionately to get everything he wanted.

"A dance...?" Carmilla said, almost with a british accent.

Zillah smiled. A sincere gesture, at the moment he would settle for a dance.

But then she asked as honestly as a child "Do you have a heart?"

Did he have a heart? Well yes, was the obvious answer but he knew that wasn’t what she meant. No, she wanted something deeper. Something that confirmed he could feel not just for himself but for others. And he did, sometimes. He always took care of his girls, hell everyone knew that if any got hurt he took his revenge. And that revenge came in the form of a loaded gun.

“Sure.” Zillah smirked a low rumble vibrating from his chest as he emitted a quiet chuckle. “I can feel and be hurt like anyone. But I don’t always give a damn.”

Why was he being so honest? He could just have let some cheesy line slide off his tongue. Yes, I have a heart and it beats only for you. But something about her was so mysteriously innocent. And it was a quality that he didn’t want to taint, just yet.

“But when I do care, it runs deep.” Zillah reached out and placed his hand lightly over hers. So their flesh was just touching. His eyes opened wide, revealing an expanse of crystalline jade, willing her not to pull away.

Valerian & Jade

(((ooc: Sorry Psyche, but I'm gonna have Valerian move on. It's been almost 24 hours, and just like yesterday, I only have an hour left before I need to head to bed.)))

Not getting much of a response from the Malkavian, Valerian soon excused himself. The young man had actually succeeded in making him feel a bit uncomfortable, which was probably because talking to Malkavians could be a real struggle. Finding the right words to talk to them was much like trying to open a puzzle box, which meant they actually left Valerian stumped for something to say. Their way of talking was so very different from his way of talking. He rarely tried to mask what he was saying, and while sometimes dropping only hints, he had a way of dropping them which left the person he was talking to knowing exactly what he meant. Maybe not on an objective, rational level, but always on an emotional one.
The Malkavians however... Most of the time it seemed not even they themselves knew what they were talking about.
And so Valerian decided to go, while the getting was good.

He started making his way over to the stage, but caught sight of something that made him slow down and eventually come to a halt. Out on the dance floor was that pretty little blonde he'd seen enter earlier. The one who'd looked so determined to find someone to break her loneliness. Or maybe it was boredom? Both, perhaps?
She was moving to the music, commanded by the steady beat, eyes closed, hips rolling in a rythm that made Valerian's gaze linger. It was quite a sight. Despite her skirt starting to ride up, she didn't look cheap. At least not to him. Instead she looked sensual, and passionate. Vulnerable, but hiding it, and hiding it well.
How could he resist?

Slowly he started making his way over to her, sliding between the dancing bodies with ease, never getting knocked over, and never knocking anyone over himself. Spending most of his time at this club, it seemed he'd actually developed a skill for moving around on the dance floor without having people crash into him. Almost as if he could foresee how the people around him would move, and thus move accordingly himself.

Although once he reached her, he didn't touch her, nor did he say anything. He simply circled her once, slowly, watching her dance close up, and waited for her to open her eyes. Human senses weren't all that sharp, but he'd learned that often enough, they could feel someone's presence, or even feel when they were being watched. The only question was; would she care?

(((ooc: "pretty little blonde" would be Jaden. )))

devoshka 27th Sep 2007 6:05 PM

Jaden and Valerian

Jaden continued swaying to the music that reverberated through her body, when she realized that she had an audience. Jaden danced, but moving slower and more seductively, putting all feeling into her movements. As the song came to an end Jaden stopped, and slowly opened her eyes. It was the man she had noticed earlier surrounded by others that stood by her. Up close his beauty almost overwhelmed her and he smelled divine, but there was something not quite right in his beauty, it was almost too perfect. Then Jaden raised her eyes to his, and gazed into them. She felt a pull towards him, that she had never felt before with anyone else, she felt she could get lost in them forever and not care about trying to find a way out. Then slowly a predatorial smile spread across her face. Still looking him in the eye, "You like what you see?" she breathed.

PennyTheCorgi 27th Sep 2007 7:49 PM

The figure behind her moved closer and Ada clinched her fists, ready for an attack. But it turned out to be only a drunk human male, weaving somewhat as he walked. He slowed his pace as he neared her, looking her over with a smirk. Ada didn't bother to waste her energy on a glare and instead headed for Club Biebuk. She would be d***** if one small wrinkle in her plans would ruin her whole night.

AtropaMandragora 27th Sep 2007 8:09 PM

(((ooc: Indeed, where is everyone? Oh, and yes, devoshka, it's perfectly fine. )))

As it turned out, it seemed the blonde did notice Valerian's presence, and that she did indeed care that she was being watched. But instead of stopping and looking embarassed, she kept dancing. Her moves grew slower and more inviting, and she kept her eyes closed, as if putting on a show for her mysterious voyeur thrilled her. She now seemed to be dancing for him, and him alone, and Valerian watched, very much enjoying what she offered. She had a natural grace, and a remarkable, unique sensualism. And deep down she knew it, but at the moment it seemed like she was trying to prove it to herself, and everyone else.
After about a minute or so, the song faded, and her eyes finally opened slowly, finding Valerian almost immediately. Her sapphire orbs traced up his chest until they finally met with his silver ones, and for a moment, they simply gazed at eachother in silence. An amused smirk tugged at his lips, and hers parted in a somewhat catty smile.

"You like what you see?"

Her voice sounded like a husky whisper, speaking a question with an edge. A challenge. And Valerian accepted, already having wished to make her acquaintance, and decided to give her the ego boost she seemed to need. He didn't have to resort to lies or empty flattery. He'd just be honest. It wasn't hard for him to find something remarkable about any being he came across, and as he was always very open about his appreciation, there were those that seemed to be under the impression that he was nothing but a flirt. Or, as Claudia insisted on calling him when getting fed up with him; "a tramp". But the thing was just that; he was open about his appreciation, and he appreciated so many things. People especially. Be it Kindred or kine. He couldn't help but being drawn to them. And this one, with her beauty and sensuality, simply called out to his Toreador nature.

Cocking his head just a little bit to the side, his amused smile lingered on his lips.
"Ah", he said. "How to answer that one? If I say 'yes', I'm a sleaze. If I say 'no', I'm a jerk and a liar. And if I say 'maybe', I'm trying too hard."

veldagia 27th Sep 2007 9:20 PM

Mina and Alric

"A Ms. Beatrice Harriford. She was a dance teacher at the studio down on Vineland Boulevard," he paused, nodding out the window with a sigh. "She tangoed to her death. Literally. She danced her way straight out of a fifth-floor window. Apparently, she was showing her dance class how to keep the head high by looking at the ceiling, and the window had been left open. The children had called out to her, but apparently it was too late for poor Ms. Harriford. Poor children...having to see that,"

Mina studied the pirate as he spoke. Death seemed to be an everyday affair, one could almost assume he was discussing the weather or some other quite irrelevant subject. It was an almost vamparic quality, the nonchalance towards the fact that people die whilst you go on, living night after night. And that one eye was so enchanting, the doorway to the soul. Filled with the years, of laughter, hope pain and despair, the human journey all drawn into that one orb, witnessed in shades of darkness and light. It would look so pretty, like an ancient jewel, laying amongst the others in her display.

“To dance to death, it sounds so exquisite, to die enthralled in the passion of what you love.” A vague smile passed Mina’s lips, would she herself be lucky enough to die that way with her teeth buried into some mortal flesh. She had come close before. But always that moment of pure solitude had been stolen from her, the beast inside that refused to give in, to surrender to death, would fight back for its ownership of her body.

"It's my job. I'm a funeral director. Youngest one there, so they give me most of the bizarre deaths to handle because they're too stuffy to figure out how to celebrate a life that ended in a...creative, way. I hope you don't take me for some morbid, twisted lunatic? I simply love caring for the dead. They're far more agreeable than the living.

Mina’s eyebrows raised inquisitively as he told her his job. My, my, not just a pretty face but one that plays with corpses. How absolutely wonderful. Perhaps he could have other uses that passing a few forsaking hours away.

Her face warmed a little yet still her eyes remained hardened green orbs ready to dissect. Head tilted upon her hand, slender fingers slightly obscuring the unabashed smile that danced over her lips. “Not at all, everyone of us has our little quirks. And I suppose. They don’t answer back lacking all capacity to object to any wish. I imagine it can become quite addictive.”

The light laughter filled Mina’s lips, breaking the icy spell of her last words. “So tell me, what’s the most bizarre death you’ve ever handled?”

((We're hiding, so we don't get accussed of only RPing in one thread...when we're supposed to be studying.... :D))

Jaden and Valerian

Jaden's smile turned into a grin. Oh, I like him already. Before responding, Jaden dragged her eyes reluctantly from Valerian's, making an obvious show of checking him over. Taking in the lithe slender body clothed in body grazing black leather pants and a black shirt that when stretch tight gave hint to the muscles beneath, Jaden knew that it wouldn't take any alcohol to be attracted to him. Slowly Jaden raised her eyes back up to Valerian's face, lingering for a moment upon his lips, and involuntarily licking her own in the process before returning her gaze to his. Knowing that he had observed this, a small smile lit upon Jaden's face. "Mmm.... I don't think you could ever be sleazy or have to try too hard. And I don't really give a damn if you are a liar or a jerk, we all are really."

AtropaMandragora 28th Sep 2007 12:47 AM

Valerian & Jaden

(((ooc: Herald - I've been waiting for skylark to respond. I'll give her another day or so, but if she hasn't posted by then, I'll go ahead and... try to think of something. *s* Oh, and also, who's Sinopa?)))

Valerian watched as the young blonde gave him the usual once over, and couldn't help but smile. Judging by the appreciative look in her eyes, and the way she licked her lips, she wasn't all that disappointed with what she saw.
And neither was he. He'd already given her quite the thorough inspection while she was dancing. What he saw was a petite young woman, a bit shorter than he'd first thought. The high heels she was wearing simply made her look taller. And they really accentuated her legs, giving her calves a nice curve, and her whole body an amazing posture; pushing her shoulders back and her chest forward, just enough to make her look proud, and far from vulgar. Especially considering the modest neckline of her dress. It balanced the shortness on the black little number, seperating her from the other, scantily clad women in the club. Not that he had anything against them whatsoever. No, no. It was just that the beauty buff in him prefered clothing to bring out the human body, instead of simply revealing it.

"Mmm...", she said, once their gazes locked once more. "I don't think you could ever be sleazy or have to try too hard. And I don't really give a damn if you are a liar or a jerk, we all are really."

That statement drew a light chuckle from his lips. Such bitter words... It would explain why she seemed to have her mind set on being noticed, and appreciated tonight.

"My, my", he said, an amused twinkle in his eyes. "You are a jaded one."

Just then the people behind him suddenly surged toward him, invading what little space he had, and he drew closer to Jaden, slipping an arm around her waist and gently pulling her to him as the crowd behind her seemed to do the same. To most it would probably seem like he was trying to save her from getting shoved, but the truth was, he was merely taking advantage of something he'd seen coming.
It wasn't really his style, but her assertiveness and hungry eyes made him feel like being just a bit more bold than usual.

And even if she did decide to push him away, it would've been worth it, Feeling her warmth against his own cool skin, her breath against his throat, her scent... Not her perfume, but her very own scent. The scent of something feminine and fragile, yet headstrong and determined... It left him feeling almost intoxicated.

Carmilla & Zillah - The Haven

#10

Carmilla saw his hesitation, but was pleased that he wasn't scared easily. Or thought it wasn't worth the effort. She knew only too well of the impatience some men had with women who was being difficult.

“Sure.” Zillah smirked a low rumble vibrating from his chest as he emitted a quiet chuckle. “I can feel and be hurt like anyone. But I don’t always give a damn.”

His response surprised her. She thought it to be a lie at first, but when she used her vampire eyes to behold his crystalline jades, she was almost certain he was being truthful. But she could not know for sure, not even with her vampire ways. That was the hidden agenda of both men and vampires alike. Most of them played games, no matter how innocent.

But when he reached out to touch her, Carmilla was the one to hesitate. Yet again.

“But when I do care, it runs deep.” he said.

Her lips parted slightly, as she had a very human reaction of wanting to gasp for breath. Instead she felt a vague sensation of warmth has his skin touched hers. She was so cold, and he was so very warm.

"Have you ever cared?", she asked, because she felt she had to say something to break the suspens. And that was the first thing that entered her mind.

Wow, this place is absolutely no fun tonight, Kess thought to himself after several minutes of just...watching. Watching others have fun.

"Happy happy joy joy," he said flatly. "Oh, but the fun. I am just dying of it. Oh, please, no more, no more." With a very Spike-esque sneer, he sighed and gathered himself up to get the hell out of there before he lost more brain cells. Flinging himself through the crowd, pushing roughly through, he shoved a couple of the stupid little girls out of the way and found himself in the blissful dark of the street outside. Not quiet, but that was okay. Kess wasn't the reflecting, brooding type. Or so he liked to think.

Down the street he took himself, far away from the Haven with its wretched human infested crowd. He needed somewhere more...dangerous? tonight. Yeah, dangerous. He liked dangerous.

He'd be damned if he saw anyone else he knew tonight...No Kindred he was familiar with, less chances to get caught doing rather...unsavory...things. No one expected the Malkavian clan to be normal, but there were still certain standards to be held in front of the other clans, heaven forbid he gave his a bad name. We don't need any help with that, he smirked.

As he approached the club, he cursed aloud, colorfully and creatively. He, of course, was damned, as always. Checking his breath, he gave his hair a rather girly flip and fixed a charming smile on his face.

Smoothly, he pranced up next to Ada and said winningly, "Ah, my dear, fancy meeting you here. Out for a quick meal?"

(OOC: Sorry, that was...craptacular, to say the least. So uncreative tonight...Anyways, hopefully when I post again tomorrow, Kess will be up to his usual charming standards )

Esther & Damian/ Ciara & Ed

The Prince nodded, a slight smile gracing his lips and motioned for Esther to take a seat. As she moved to sit down, he spoke. "Esther", he said while putting his expensive silver pen back in it's black marble stand. "You're most welcome, although I didn't expect you so soon. My proclamation must've travelled with a most nimble messenger."

His Ventrue nature oozed from his pores with that. The unstated question. One of the core basics of politics, plausible deniability - as long as you don't actually say something, nobody can truly confirm any statement that may prove undesirable later.

Esther smiled slightly as she respnded, "Your messengers were fortunate enough to intercept me onmy way elsewhere. Although the Brujah could certainly be more ... cautious with his enthusiasm." It was all in how you phrased it. She could have spoken of Cade a thousand other ways and shown more respect, plus there was a hint at a potentially juicy tidbit. Not that she would reveal Cade's statements... yet. Just his landing next to Mina - an annoying yet ultimatly forgivable crime. She did not really pause before continuing - the Prince would draw the conversation back if he wanted to. "I must admit that I was not expecting news of such a nature, not having been in the city for terribly long. Especially since I do have a reputation for roaming quite frequently."

The Prince was not the only one who could hide a question in a statement.

Ciara smiled as she hung up the slinky dress. It was nice, nice but not her. She had grabbed her clothes from earlier. Black cargo pants and an olive tank top. She hoped that they weren't going anywhere too fancy.

She left the changing room and noticed that Ed was still on the phone, so she propped herself up against a wall and waiting for the conversation to finish. She couldn't help but think to herself, 'Hmmmmm... underwear - you don't miss it til it's gone and oh, how I missed it!' which of course elicted a goofy smile from here as her thoughts strayed onto other random topics. She was so deep in thought that she almost missed Ed putting the phone down and she quickly stoof up and popped her head around the door, "Ready to go?"

"Er, yeah," Ed said with a smile. "Let's roll!"

Ciara grinned as they walked out. "You know what - motorbikes are pretty cool, but I think I'll be a bit more comfy like this. Hope we're not going anywhere too fancy. Where did you want to head off to?" Her evening was looking better and better.

"Lady's decision," Ed told her with a smile. "Where do you want to go? It wouldn't be fair for me to decide--after all, it was I who accosted you!"

((Sorry again. :P))

ooc: Augh..so far behind... Sorry to hold you up, trampled. I promise I will have something up by tomorrow--but as for now I'm about to pass out, can't think, and I'm not in the best of moods. So.
x___x
I'll be sure to have something up tomorrow.

Zillah and Carmilla

Carmilla's lips parted slightly, "Have you ever cared?", she asked.

Zillah shrugged his shoulders, a low sigh escaping from between his lips as she broke the suspense between them. But still he did not answer the question, simply turning it on its head and sending it back to her, like he was holding a mirror before the exquisite face. “What does it matter what I’ve felt in the past, the present is what I live for. So how about you. Your companion. Do you care?”

He let the words for him hang unspoken in the air between them. A barrier that halted his movements, from taking her in his arms, but still his fingers lightly touched her hand as though he could bring warmth to the cold flesh. Draw some fire from the composed face as his eyes bore into hers with the question. He knew he should walk away, find an easier conquest, but still her mysterious aura held him transfixed. Frozen to the spot, desperately trying to win her favour, as though his whole life depended upon it. To guide her away from whatever was between her and the companion.

(OCC sorry its so short, and he's asking "does she care for Seath", 'cos I'm being clear as mud lately))
