Slept most of today.
I am currently working on Week 2 of housekeeping. So far, so good. I got a return for an expensive book that was causing declines on my card and bought 2 cheaper books, both on micronation construction and management. One is physical and the other was a Kindle ebook. I still have money in "The Banana Stand" |
I had terrible sleep last night. But I woke up feeling like I can take on the world.
My mom is going to be home at around noon, so we're having McDonald's after a long abstinence from its greasy soul food properties. P.S. Remind me never to work with Grey Delisle-Griffin. She practically bit some cash-strapped animation team's faces off after an AI issue. Although the team's leader has made the 180 to find soundalikes, the fact she practically mutilated them in such a figurative manner afterwards was uncalled for. I already made my notice and will use my family's lawyer on retainer in the event someone does steal my voice, which is difficult, considering the fact I honed my craft for nearly 30 years and I can do both feminine and masculine voices from a catalog of nearly 100 years of sounds. I understand that AI can cheapen a production and is part of the reason for the SAG-AFTRA strikes (others include cancelled work and underpaid cast and crew members, to name a few of the reasons the state of animation in America and scripted television.) |

![]() It sucks any kind of good mood out of people that have to deal with it... |

Kind of meh I guess? I started the day by just grabbing the scissors and chopping off the tips of my hair cos they were annoying me, then I cycled in the horrible heat to go get a document scanned and basically nearly died cos some old woman on a scooter decided that I didn't have right of way (I totally did but like my hands were full woman how was I supposed to gesture right without falling?By using my leg??) Then met up with some family friends that I haven't seen since last year (oops) and once again confirmed that small kids are really weird and I def wanna avoid that in my future. Sadly I didn't get the ice cream that mum said she'd get me while she was at the supermarket (betrayal cos she still got her favourite ice cream)

This past week, I found my suitcase full of colored pencils. I was happy to find my pencil case and was happy to color in pictures I drew.

Went to the dentist. I have dental surgery next year and a 6 month checkup. The dentist thought that, because I looked 15, I was 15. I then told him "I turn 36 in 2 months" which was true and was shocked because my mom was there to help me. (I am not a big fan of the dentist.)
Otherwise, the wait was hell on Earth. It was packed. But I did some chores and squeezed in a nap. I also found out that AI generated content cannot be copyrighted\trademarked due to the nature of stolen\inputted IP issues. You can all breathe easy, no AI is going to take any jobs. I'm glad I can earn back money as a housekeeper, even if my parents joke about replacing me with a housekeeper and a chef. (I can cook. But it's a matter of giving me the chance.) |
I was able to keep my housekeeping job. Although my pay will be docked for $12 worth of groceries, money is money and I usually offset whatever costs I have incur for debts.
My mother and I are in charge of the financial situation at our levels. In the coming weeks, we plan to get our next set of boosters for COVID-19 as a family. |
So far, so good, on the issue of housekeeping.
I woke up with a dry mouth and a metallic tasting sore throat. Now my nose is stuffed. Took my Flonase. Otherwise, I am looking forward to Sunday. I get my paycheck for doing my chores around the house. |
It was pretty good.
|
Went shopping and found a doll on clearance. She is cute. I don't know why people didn't buy her.
Got myself back into my groove of housekeeping. My parents are eating at a steakhouse and I am currently hanging out with my cat, Gemini. She may be weird. But I wouldn't trade her for anything. |
If you think my Weaponized Mac and Cheese Casserole is cray-cray, you should try whenever I make boxed brownies. I get the seal of approval from my mother, who is my toughest critic.
Not too burnt. Not too gooey. Firm and moist, no laxatives, no weird plants, not even the normal add-ons like nuts, just rich chocolate goodness within a paper thin crust. |
The amount of phone calls and nagging at work yesterday was insane. The only peace and quiet I got was maybe ten minutes of lunch, which I spent staring out the window, away from other people. Normally I like being around the others during lunch, but today I just needed some time for myself...
On the bus home, some woman had her radio/phone on THE most annoying cycle of pure noise. Sounded like 40 randomized TikToks going off at once (best guess is Japanese gaming shows or some such - maybe fun to watch when you're in the mood for it, but just listening to all those completely random noises drills holes into your brain when you've already had it with nagging for the day). As if that's not enough, a whole flock of birds (maybe 100+) had their first very noisy meet-and-greet to discuss their annual trip South on some of the neighbors' rooftops, so the chatter followed me most of the way home. So the rest of the day I had a not-quite-headache, energy level completely tanked out and went out like a light (in front of the computer) around 8-9-ish pm, waking up around 2 am... |
I failed a part of an exam (by like 1 point too) so I have to do a resit which is super annoying because I just dont want to, but if I do it I then get the shiny certificate so I should do it. I scheduled it for next week cos then there's less time to forget what I already learned

I really wish I could find my book of serial key numbers for every disc version of The Sims 1 thru 3 and add-ons. I wrote them in a composition notebook and my room is a huge mess.
|
It was the longest day everrrrr. So much waiting, so much expanded time like I think time slowed down while I was sitting there. Maybe it even went backwards but like not in a cool way where you could mess with the timeline for the lols. THis was was just unavoiable waiting. Watching paint dry would've totes been more fun.
|
At around 2:45AM EDT, I finally found my serial code book!
It was under a pile of books on how to draw comics by Stan Lee. Yes, by the late great Mr. "Excelsior!" himself. |
I decided not to go to my grandpa's party. He understands I suffer from panic attacks.
I might do some cooking, providing the power doesn't go out. |
If I were a sim, then Tuesday was the day I made an enemy
![]() Might be a bit of exaggeration but in that moment it totally felt like it. How that person is allowed to work there with that kind of attitude is insane. Obviously I lodged a complaint so other people can hopefully avoid this bullshit too ![]() |
I was sleeping throughout the day. I also had stomach jitters
|
OMG WTF would exactly sum up how weird I slept then stayed awake.
I guess I need a nap. But otherwise, I played Pokémon Go, Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu. Ever since the anime I remembered ended, I decided to get caught up in catching monsters. |
Do architects/construction/plumbers even talk to each other?? Do they understand human proportions- or can they even read? Wait no, cos if "designers" can't even make chairs comfortable for most people how would they even make toilets right? Basically at work, going to the toilet is probably an ordeal for everyone that isn't child sized. Which doesnt make sense as this is a building thats been an office for like 20 years.

I guess it depends on who you're dealing with. My plumber makes it a point to be on time, explains whatever needs explaining, blah, blah, blah. When we had the generator installed, my plumber had to be in contact with the generator company as he was the one putting the gas line in. They [ generator company] were told when the gas line was going to be installed. Despite the sloppy, gross weather we had that day, my plumber showed up and got the job done. When he left, I emailed the generator company telling them that the gas line was in and it needed to be inspected. After a few days of not hearing back from them, I called asking what the problem was. Long story short, they never bothered to read my email, then tried to blame me for their BS by suggesting that I never sent a email. Yeah, no. After a few minutes of being grouchy with the manager, he took a minute to see if I actually sent said email. Of course he found it. In the meantime, the gas inspector for my town was my plumber's teacher when my plumber was in school. My plumber contacted him so that he could come out and do the inspection whenever he was ready. The inspector was here for all of about a minute, slapped a sticker on the generator and left. I don't regret having the generator installed. However, I don't like having to babysit contractors. When I told my mother what happened, she promptly told me that I was spoiled because there are not too many contractors around like my plumber. She had a point, but I could have lived without the spoiled part. ![]() |
I fell asleep and boom! It was 5:20PM.
I had to do my chores as soon as I got up from my nap. I don't feel good. I feel ran over and maybe backed over for good measure, especially since I probably caught something from my parents, who work in proximity with other people. Ew! People... My mother works in a warehouse for QVC and it was Hell when one of the warehouses in the South burned to the ground because the merchandise was rerouted to her warehouse. My father works at a local Walmart to keep busy and help with the rent in my grandfather's house we're renting out. My father is a known workaholic and if you were to categorize him like a fantasy being, he's more than likely to say he is most like a genie, but his serving of others must be met with good humor, love and appreciation for his efforts. |
I ended up breaking up with an acquaintance after realizing he wasn't "a man of science"
I may study scriptures in Abrahamic and Eastern teachings, but I am not the type to be that serious in following the words due to my Omnitheistic Agnosticism (I am unsure of which deity is watching over me, but I have some blind faith to be thankful that I haven't died yet and live to see another day.). I also am not one out to prove or disprove religion, but try to figure if there is any basic logic to miracles that we once marveled in awe of. (Yes, in Spring, I watch the Easter\Passover documentaries and I have argued that the Red Sea was parted by the eye of a hurricane rather than a gust of wind. A gust of wind would have torn the skin off the fleeing Hebrews from the Pharaoh and his army. Hence the eye of a lower number Category hurricane would have made it plausible.) So I had a bad night, I guess I should have seen it coming. However, I at least have a chance to talk to my therapist the next time I see her... Either way, I had a chance to find a countdown app. Now I can take the physical clocks off the wishlist. Sometimes, an app helps. But today was a mix of anxiety and conflicts with my core beliefs and the price of programming countdown clocks. I did have to wash a few dishes before bed. Mainly because my mom told me that I couldn't put my Tupperware in the dishwasher, even if it could go in. |
