There's always a reason behind why a person acts the way they do, that's not to say it is excusable but the whole point is to understand one another and forgive and heal. Unfortunately, there are many families around the world with generational trauma. This movie is powerful in its message but not everyone will understand or care about its deep meaning.

I gave it half an hour - booooring.

Sinkhole (2004) - 6/10
A disgraced, small town schoolteacher discovers a young murder victim, leading to a chain of events that ends in violence and emotional devastation.

The Lodge (2019) - 3/10
A soon-to-be stepmom is snowed in with her fiancé's two children at a remote holiday village. Just as relations begin to thaw between the trio, some strange and frightening events take place.

You have to turn the volume to 11 to understand the whispers, but then some of the sound effects and music are a couple of magnitudes louder than everything else - I mean, really loud - which is extremely obnoxious.

Wrong Turn (2003) - 3/10
Chris and a group of five friends are left stranded deep in the middle of the woods after their cars collide. As they venture deeper into the woods, they face an uncertain and bloodcurdling fate.

Johnny Got His Gun (1971) - 5/10
During World War I, a patriotic young American is rendered blind, deaf, limbless, and mute by a horrific artillery shell attack. Trapped in what's left of his body, he desperately looks for a way to end his life.

On the upside, he ended up with the world's greatest hat collection.

Memories of Murder (aka, Salinui chueok) (2003) Korean with English subs - 8/10
In a small Korean province in 1986, two detectives struggle with the case of multiple young women being found raped and murdered by an unknown culprit.

A number of funny scenes, despite the subject matter. Interesting insight into Korean film culture, and perhaps overall culture, somewhat.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) - 5/10
When their relationship turns sour, a couple undergoes a medical procedure to have each other erased from their memories.

I wish I could have Jim Carrey erased from my memory.

Leere Welt (aka, Empty World) (TV 1987) German with English subs - 3/10
A virus is rapidly spreading across the planet, causing all humans to age at an accelerated rate. Only three youngsters are not affected...

Radius (2017) - 5/10
A man wakes up with no memory of who he is, and finds that everyone who comes within a certain distance of him suddenly dies.

This started interestingly, but got dumber and dumber as it progressed.

Capricorn One (1977) - 3/10
When the first manned flight to Mars is deemed unsafe and scrubbed on the launch pad, anxious authorities must scramble to save face and retain their funding - and so an unthinkable plot to fake the mission is hatched.

I think this is where the people who think the moon landings were a hoax get most of their material from. >sigh!<

LE CHARME DISCRET DE LA BOURGEOISIE (aka, The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie) (1972) French with English subs - 4/10
A surreal, virtually plotless series of dreams centered around six middle-class people and their consistently interrupted attempts to have a meal together.

Bad Ronald (TV 1974) - 2/10
A perverted teenage boy who lives in the walls of a house finds the house sold to a family after his mother dies, and he falls for one of the new residents.

Christiane F. (1981) German with English subs - 7/10
A teen girl in 1970's Berlin becomes addicted to heroin. Everything in her life slowly begins to distort and disappear as she befriends a small crew of junkies and falls in love with a drug-abusing male prostitute.

Flashpoint (1984) - 7/10
Two U.S. border patrolmen find a buried 20+ year old jeep in the desert with a skeleton, rifle and $800,000. They keep the money. Suddenly, the FBI shows a lot of interest in the car.

Decent movie, watched it again after 30 years.

Lord Of The Flies (1963) - 0/10
Schoolboys marooned on a Pacific island create their own savage civilization.

Stopped watching this garbage after an hour and falling asleep.
They made us read the book, of course, back in junior high school I think it was. I never bought the idea that adolescents, or anyone else, would behave like this in such a situation. Pure drivel, and that was 40-50 years ago.

When a nuclear war starts, the employees and inmates at a mental institution seek shelter in an underground bunker. They find themselves locked in and soon find that the inmates want to take over.
