hah, thanks! (:

Rose: It is, its on a 40X40 lot, so it HAS to be big! Well, it depends.....there a total of 5 40X40 lots in that row of the really expensive ones, so probably 5, there is also a 50X50, and i already have some awesome ideas for that.

Also, if nobody minds, i would really like to do that entire first dead end, with the huge houses, and just focus on that. I could also move that house i built thats by the entrance, inside the entrance and put it on a 30X30 lot, so then all the other parts of the valley are open to whoever? does anyone have a problem with that? I think it would give it really cool look if it all had the same build design, and that type of home is kind of my thing. -again, if nobody minds. the rest would be open to whoever, unless no one wanted to do any of, which i dont think will be the case.

DD: thanks! yea, it will be great when its done (not trying to brag) the back is going to have 2 different levels of decks, that all connect, with a big pool, poolhouse etc. (: im really excited to show the results.

Hmmm, I don't really know what to say about this...
So you're going to build 5 or 6 mansions at that place? Plus you have 2 in the town center.
There might be other people too, who would love to have the chance to build on a larger lot.... Me for instance, lol! So far the most expensive house I've build is Jazmin Vasquez's home and it's just over 52,000, but it can hold an entire family. Plus I've build 3 of the starter homes. So, it would be kind of nice to not constantly worry about the budget.
And what about Maggie? If she wants to, she should also get the oppertunity to build a larger home!

Please don't get me wrong, Connor... I love your mansions and the last thing I want to do is upset you, but I don't think we should jump to any hasty decisions yet. Especially because Lana isn't here either and I'd really like to get her input too.
Why don't you first finish this mansion and lot 5, the bookstore and the theatre in the town center and I'll contact Lana to ask her what she thinks of our plans.
Is that ok with you?

toyou1214 29th Aug 2010 2:39 AM

hah, first i just wanted to say congratulations on spelling my name right! (: i wasn't going to say anything because its no big deal, but i got a good laugh out of it all! lol (: probably just me....anyways.

I actually forgot about the book store....haha. (*wonders if anyone else wants it, and also wonders why he signed up for it with no ideas...) The theater is finished, im just not sure what to do about the screen i still have not heard back from the creator. Lot 5 is done, just not uploaded and this mansion will be done in a matter of a few days.

There are two more lots in the valley, one 25X25 (i moved the home i built into the gated area.) and also 30X30, and if we were to move the laundromat into town, or somewhere else, (im guessing people who can afford these homes, can afford a washer/dryer, ) there would be 3.

Im not making/trying to make hasty decisions, i am trying to get the ball rolling, school starts September 7th for me, and i want 75% of my stuff done. I would also like Lana's input.

Im not upset at all, simply put, i kind of would like an area that is all my creation, like DD's port, Lanas town center, Just something that is mine, that area is just kind of special to me. We can move stuff around if more space for homes is wanted in that area, I just would specifically like the first dead end.

I will just continue building (mansions don't completely happen over night, ) but will wait for the official decision, should i number the lots and put it in general info?

i finished the exterior of the mansion, obviously, the back is needing landscaping, but i will do that when i do the pool! (:

sleepyrose 29th Aug 2010 4:07 AM

Hahaha, I'm so sorry for spelling your name wrong the entire time, Connor! OMG, why didn't you say something sooner? And here I was laughing because Craig calles Hamilton Hambleton, lol!

Anyway, I'm glad you're not upset because of what I said, coz that's not my intention at all. I understand that you would like the area to look like everything fits together and you should have the oppertunity to do so. I was just looking forward to builing on a large lot too. Oh, the possibilities seem endless after all those tiny lots, lol. And I figured some of the others might have the same feeling.
So, yeah, just continue building for now and I'll ask Lana if she can drop us a note.

You did sign up for the bookstore a while ago. But since everything moved so fast then, you might have forgotten about it. You don't have any ideas about it? Let us know if you still want to build it, because if you don't I think I know a person who probably jump like a bunny if he could make it.... And I think you don't have to guess who it is, lol!

Anyway, I really got to go to bed. There's been a party outside my house, and I've been dropping in and out and had a little too much wine. Hopefully I won't have a hangover tomorrow, lol.

sleepyrose 29th Aug 2010 4:10 AM

Hey, I thought you said mansions don't just happen over night? But that was fast! I don't even have my 10x10 lot finished, haha.
But it looks very beautiful! The back is so pretty too.

Craggles 29th Aug 2010 4:57 AM

Connor you do realise that unless the lots are flat i'm gonna have a hard job trying to get the lots in the right places in caw right? Just a thought lol. Also. It'd be a good idea to have a couple empty lots for the ambitions lots on both of those dead ends, or it'd look crowded with the 5 lots I've got for amb all on one road y'know? Also, i'd like a mansion please! I've only done a couple houses and the nectary might not even get used! So an excuse to build a big house would be nice! Lol

toyou1214 29th Aug 2010 5:52 AM

Rose and Craig: i am tweaking the map a little, so then you and craig could both have at least one large lot, (craig you have two, the 64X64 is just for that large home you built...i think its in the social thread,) i am trying to find a way to have some more open, not in the first dead end, is that alright with you rose? then we both get our way. (i was going to do the laughing smile, but i dont know how! can someone show me how you do it?)

Rose: it really is no big deal, i just always chuckled, and now you noticed, lol. (:

Craig also made mention that he does not think that all the shops should be in a row? i kind of like the idea, just kind of a modern main street, but what does everyone else feel? i will try to spread them out a little when i re doing the map...now. (:

Rose(again): I can build the exterior of a home that size in under an hour, that probably took 50-60 minutes, its the inside that takes FOREVER, i wish there was an 'auto make it look nice!' lol.

Also, yes i know craig about the hill, i am moving the lot slightly to be as flat as possible, sorry!

ok, so this is what i came up with, i moved the fire station to be more in the middle of our city, because it needs to get to emergencys quickly! (: I removed the tattoo shop, because rose built a home that can have a tattoo shop in the basement, (rose, would you be willing to make a copy of the home for the ambitions file with the tattoo shop? if not, we can put the tattoo shop somewhere else.) i also moved the laundromat near the fire station, i have a home on it at the time, (30X30) this freed up a lot of space for everyone to have at least 1 lot in the valley, again, it can be changed, but i think its a better compromise,

Let me know, Tyu.

well, im sort of on a roll today i guess, i have my community lot about 90% of the way done for the port area (by your gym rose) its just sort of a meeting point, it has no real purpose, but it looks nice. (:

Tyu.

sleepyrose 30th Aug 2010 12:34 AM

That looks very beautiful! The inside of the house is coming along nicely aswell.
I'll try to show some updates soon of the 10x10 lot. I'm also editing some of the houses that are complete and try to make them a little cheaper.

btw, Have you made a decision about the bookstore yet?

alright, here is an update of the lot in the port, im thinking its done?

If somebody would like to do the bookshop, they are more then welcome too!

I am going to focus on the homes. (: and maybe a fire station...? unless does someone else have one built ?

First floor...COMPLETE! (: (this is taking forever! i really wish there was an auto button! lol)

sleepyrose 30th Aug 2010 9:43 AM

The port lot is very beautiful! It's not going to have anything inside?
The interior of the house is very pretty too! Yes, an auto make-nice button would be very handy... but then again, it might work like the auto roof.

About the laudromate and firestation... I think the place where you have them planned are very good. The lot sizes might be a little big, however. It's very close to the town center and the buildings are going to be larger than the town hall, for example. To me that would look strange, lol.

Maybe Craggles or missroxor would like to build the bookstore?

Oh, I almost forgot... did you say you want me to build the tattoo shop at the ground floor of one of the boulevard lofts? I don't know if that would work, because it's a community thing. Maybe I can add it to the shops I'm building.

Deluxe Designs 30th Aug 2010 10:37 AM

Looks great Tyu!

Just as a note i have my driving test tomorrow so pass/fail i will have more time because i won't be practicing all day also http://www.modthesims.info/download...402#post3300402 YAY!

Craggles 30th Aug 2010 11:02 AM

Tyu I've already made the lots for ambitions! Haha thats why I've been saying the lots you've put down are too big for the buildings i've made! Silly sausage! Is everything finished in the main town? Cuz I think doing that would be a good idea before we go crazy on other places. I only built the lots for ambitions cuz I was bored of the luca family ;-) Haha. I think you might be ploughing ahead a bit too fast connor... No offence or anything! :-)

sleepyrose 30th Aug 2010 1:22 PM

Silly sausage! God that's funny!
But yes, you're right, it's best if we finish everything in the town center first. All the lots are assigned for, so there are no lots left. The business and science center are still going at the port, but those lots have not been added yet. I can't find decent lot sizes in the world editor either.
Also.... checking for route fail at this moment is a good idea and will save time in the future, like I already said before. Connor, some of the run down homes need editing, because of unreachable showers, tubs, chairs, bookcases, etc. (IMO, they could also need some skill items and maybe an extra bed or 2.) And have you edited the run down park, so the chess table works? It might be a good idea to do those things, before we fill up the valley.
It's also important that those of us who have the time, play Craig's tomb in the church.

And in the mean time, let's not forget about Lana. Even if she's not here at the moment, she might also like to have a say in this, before we start making too many decisions.

Hambleton, good luck with your driving test!

Deluxe Designs 30th Aug 2010 2:41 PM

Ok i've had my last lesson, and it went really really well so fingers crossed! I'm going out driving today with my Dad, but hopefully i can squeeze in a bit of creating

missroxor 30th Aug 2010 7:40 PM

I don't mind doing either lot 19 or the book shop but I've not had time to play recently so I still have 2 houses and one hospital that are WIP. I'm a bit apprehinsive to commit to more lots until I produce at least one finished lot, lol. So if you put me down for one of those (would probably prefer the bookstore) I'll put it on my to do list but if somebody else gets an urge to do more building (Craggles) and wants to take it over before I get the chance to start it I wouldn't be upset Is that ok?

Good luck DD, remember to use your mirrors like constantly

Tyu, lovin what you've made so far

nivaso 31st Aug 2010 12:31 AM

Hi Guys, it has been a while, but as I said I don’t have a lot of time – I just uploaded the restaurant.
Nevertheless I would like to tell you that I’ve seen some really nice new designs here in the threads.
Love your mansion Tyu, beautiful natural color combination. Love the two little towers on each side and the interior is beautiful.

toyou1214 31st Aug 2010 1:16 AM

Craig: Silly sausage, lol. (: As i said before, i have a limited amount of time, so i am trying to squeeze as much in as possible, i personally do not have a choice but to keep pushing ahead,
About ambitions lots: I did not understand that you had them finished! lol, can you give me the lot sizes so i can edit my map?

Everyone: I will edit my rundown lots tonight, or tomorrow, depending on the timing and what not,

Rose: I think i have everything of mine finished in the town center, (have not uploaded for reasons listed in previous post) and i will get those lots changed when i know what the buildings Craig had built them on.

Miss: We can have you down for the bookstore, i wrote your name down for a lot in the valley because rose had suggested that everyone have an opportunity to build there, if you do not want to, that is just fine, someone else can do it.

Nivaso: Thank you! (: I've spent a lot of time on it, im glad you like it! (: Thank you for uploading the restaurant,

DD: Good luck with your license DD, i had to do my behind the wheel with my instructor about a month ago, now i have to wait until march to take the actual test.....*sighs*

To everyone: Im sorry if you feel im being pushy, or trying to ram my opinions down your throat, i just am in a get this stuff done mode,(because i have to be due to time restrictions) i do not have a lot of time, so my posts might not always be the sweetest, and nicest, but it is not meant to be rude or offend, (:

Tyu.

sleepyrose 31st Aug 2010 10:44 AM

Connor, I don't think your posts are rude and they certainly haven't offended me. You're just being very enthusiastic and I love that. It's just that as long as we're not certain about stuff, you might be a bit hasty. I know you're worried about time, because you're going back to school soon. But you know, as long as we don't have the actual world map it's going to be a bit difficult to speculate about how things are going to look.
Also, another way to look at it... back in june, I never thought we'd get this world to finish. But look at us now! We're well on our way and it looks so beautiful too.

I'll update the maps today and Maggie, I'll put you down for the bookstore.

toyou1214 31st Aug 2010 6:40 PM

alright, thats what i had hoped, good luck maggie!

Tyu.

missroxor 1st Sep 2010 2:21 AM

Thanks for the consideration I would normally take the opportunity to build more houses but I've had a few distractions lately and my work rate has almost slowed to a stop so I don't wanna hold you guys back, lol. I'll concentrate on finishing the landscaping in my 2 houses and hopefully get the hospital finished too (I thought I would struggle to find ideas to fill the building but actually I don't have enough room to add all the stuff I want to, lol) then unless anyone's itching to steal it off me I'll start on the bookstore
