Zillah & Bee: Street somewhere in LA

((OCC sorry innoscenteyes, I’ve just re-read your previous post, it somehow hadn’t registered that you were referring to Zillah *oops*))

Zillah shoved the envelope containing the money deep into one pocket. After splitting out a portion for his expenses for the night. He was still undecided where to go. He could go back to the nightclub from last night. But even if Carmilla was there he didn’t want to appear desperate. Which he wasn’t he just wanted to see her, only her. How much she had gotten into his thoughts really bugged him. Hell he’d not even sh*ged her yet, or kissed her or well anything more than exchange a few words and a little eye contact. It was completely absurd.

He shoved his hands in his pockets, scowling at the night. Before making the decision, to hell with it. He’d just go to the Haven anyway, it wasn’t far from here. Get so drunk he didn’t see that exquisite face every time he closed his eyes. He might even find a woman that would actually join him on the dance floor.

Zillah began strolling towards the club but had only taken a few paces when he noticed a beautiful young woman with dark glossy hair cascading around her shoulders like a waterfall of ebony. A smooth smile slid onto his face as he approached her and as they almost came level his eyes flickered over her body, checking her out from behind the dark glasses.

“Well the world is small after all. Its not often you see the same person twice when you don’t know them." The dark-haired woman smiled.

A slight furrow creased between Zillah’s brows before the realisation dawned she’d been in The Haven last night. And if he recalled correctly she’d rather intently watched as he’d began to speak to Carmilla.

“Small indeed. You were out last night, right.” He smiled his voice smooth as custard. Then added. “I’m Zillah, I was just about to head back to the club. The night is still young and I feel like dancing.”

Zillah and Bee

His dark glasses made him seem even more mysterious. She wished she could see his eyes so she would know what he was thinking. The smile he gave her added a mischivous look to him. He didnt seem to remember her from the way he was looking.

“Small indeed. You were out last night, right. I’m Zillah, I was just about to head back to the club. The night is still young and I feel like dancing.”

Oh so he does remember. How amusing. She smiled and rememebered her hunger. She could put it off for a while. She had a snack not to long ago it could hold her over. The Haven she woundered. How would Valerian feel wiht her showing up with a human. She couldnt think he would feel to bad about it. Things were tense between them but a few have been known to come in the company of humans. She would be on her best behavior of course. Zillah. An intersting name. She had never heard that name bofore in her all her years of exsistance. He must have something differnet about him.

"Well Zillah. That is an intersting name. Mine is Beyonca but most call be Bee." She smiled at him looking him in the eyes trying to see if she could get a hint of something beyond those glasses.

" The night is still young and dancing seems to be a good way to spend time."

She was glad she had more something more decent this night. She didnt want to go in front of Valerian with a human wearing something like she did last night.

They turned to walk to The Haven together. " How long have you been in LA?''

Valerian, Mina & Gemma

Valerian did not fail to notice the pleased look Mina gave Gemma when he greeted the neonate. It seemed that for whatever reason they both took pride in not letting him get to them with his charming ways. And to be perfectly honest, it offended him. Not being affected was one thing, taking pride in it, however, was another. One that he couldn't understand. It wasn't like he was a threat to anyone. He even had a reputation for not being interested in Camarilla politics and schizms, or pay attention to them.
Which would explain why he didn't understand Mina's and Gemma's reactions.
He didn't see a point in distancing oneself from something or someone that didn't need distancing from. Why not enjoy it instead? Why pay more attention to feuds, wars, disagreements, suspicions, rumours, and even things in the past which one could not change, instead of enjoying what you could give and be given? Wasn't that was this life was for? Why waste it caring about things that in the end wouldn't matter, things that only brought joy on someone else's expense and misfortune? What kind of life was that to lead?

Still, far too few seemed to agree with his way of thinking, even among the Toreador, and most Kindred who didn't know him very well seemed to think that their "divine truth" that everyone had ulterior motives, applied to him as well.
And it bothered him.

As did it bother him to see the expression on Mina's face change when he spoke of Ada and her deed. The initial spark of curiousity in her eyes was quickly replaced with a biting iciness, as though he really had touched a nerve. Did she not know, or was she siding with her fellow Tremere? Surely she couldn't defend such an act of disrespect for Camarillan and Elysium laws? Or the disrespecting of an Elysium owner?

"I was not previously aware of the situation", Mina said cooly. "What did Ada actually do for you to take such a measure?"

Valerian felt her gaze as though she was trying to pin him to the wall. But her inability to address the matter in the same friendly manner that he had when bringing it up, only managed to awaken his defensive streak. He respected the Primogen, all Primogen, but when it came to the decisions he made to ensure that the club ran smoothly and was not associated with trouble, he wouldn't back down, or roll over, just because one of them may not agree with his way of handling things. Nor did he appreciate having his judgement questioned.

"And how long do you envisage the ban to last?" Mina added.

At first Valerian simply looked at her, meeting her gaze without flinching, and making it no secret that her cold approach did not sit well with him. It may have been meant in a neutral and civil manner, but as it had been preceded by friendliness on his part, and hers, to Valerian it came across as something bordering on animosity.
But as he didn't want to feed the negativity, he soon seemed to relax, trying to find his way back to his usual, peaceful approach. However, when he spoke, there was a decisive firmness in his voice.

"It's no small matter, I assure you", he said. "I had to send Melody to the hospital with a mortal girl that Ada saw fit to fling into the fountain. From over here. You can imagine the surpise of those who saw it."

He paused for a few moments, while choosing his words. Then he continued;

"When I asked Ada for an explanation, I recieved none. When I asked her to leave so that I could clean up the mess in whatever way I saw fit, I not only recieved a most charming "f*ck you", she also ignored my wish, and instead kept insisting that she and Beyonca of the Ventrue, who for some reason decided to get involved, would take care of it. By dumping the poor girl in an alley not far from here, and leave her there for robbers, rapists and who knows what else."

Again he paused, only to cross his arms, still looking at Mina. He'd been well within his right to ban Ada from The Haven, and he knew it. In fact, she was lucky that was all that he had done. He hadn't involved the Prince, although reports of the incident were sure to reach him before long, but instead left it a matter for the Tremere, thinking that if Ada chose not to inform Mina of what had happened, at least Mihael would. But apparently, none of them had said anything. With Ada, it came as no surprise, but Valerian had really expected Mihael to say something, seeing as how Ada had opposed him as well. But as it was of no concern to Valerian if Mihael chose to let Ada's insolence slide, it was not up to him to inform Mina of it either. Tremere business was the Tremere's business.

"As for the ban...", Valerian said, moving on to answer Mina's second question with even more firmess in his voice. "The ban will be lifted when I say so. And that will not happen until I see a serious improvement in Ada's character."

Gemma, Mina, and Valerian : By the bar at The Haven

Gemma slightly drew in breath as Valerian's lips brushed her knuckles, but she regained her composure immediately. Glancing over at Mina, she saw that Mina approved of the introduction thus far, and a weight lifted off of her shoulders. Gemma locked eyes with Valerian for the slightest instance, sending electric jolts up her spine, as she felt herself almost let go.

As she stared at Valerian, she was letting him get to her. Gemma had to try her hardest to direct her gaze elsewhere. As soon as she looked away from the charming man, her eyes immediately ached for the sight again; Gemma allowed herself quick glances at the gorgeous Toreador.

"Whoa, he is good," Gemma thought to herself, raising one of her tweezed eyebrows.

Gemma saw Valerian's expression change slightly and worried silently over it. What if he did not like her? Did she make a bad impression after all? She immediately wanted to become closer to him, and this was not natural for her.

"I do hope you aren't angry with me, my lady, for banning your Ada from The Haven?" Gemma listened intently to what Valerian had to say to Mina, her eyes sparkling. Who was this Ada? Gemma felt lucky to be talked freely around, especially by two influential people such as these. Gemma was curious to hear what important vampires talked about to each other.

As Valerian continued to speak, Gemma watched the two intently. Mina's expression immediately turned steely, and Gemma became worried.

Mina began to speak in a surprisingly calm voice, “I was not previously aware of the situation. What did Ada actually do for you to take such a measure?”

Gemma became nervous, feeling like an intruder upon the conversation, and tried to catch Mina's emerald gaze with her stormy one. Gemma's expression was indifferent, but her eyes did all the talking as she stared at Mina, urging her to give a signal as to whether she should stay or disengage herself from the group.

Ada Von Vita

Ada had awoken in a pleasant mood carried over from her previous evening spend with Kess. However her mood had soon turned dark at the prospect of where to go. Her previous stupidity assured her that The Haven was out. Valerian would probably never let her in again. Ada mentally scolded herself for her carelessness. Sure the humans were annoying, but no other Kine lost their temper and chucked one across the room. The Museum was also not an option. If Mina didn't already know of her mistake, she would soon enough. She'd had her fill of Club Biebuk. The flashing strobe lights and heavy dance beat had been fun, but more then one night in a row and it lost its thrill. Maybe the Rave Arcade. it wasn't normally her kind of entertainment, but her options were severly limited. With a sigh, Ada headed off towards the Arcade.

Mina & Gemma & Valerian: The Haven + Zillah and Bee

Mina held his gaze steadily and noticing his almost defensive manner realised that perhaps her voice had betrayed a little too much of the anger and naturally yet mistakenly Valerian had assumed it directed towards him. The Tremere were known for their loyalty to one another but anything that brought shame on her clan well that she could not tolerate.

"It's no small matter, I assure you", he said. "I had to send Melody to the hospital with a mortal girl that Ada saw fit to fling into the fountain. From over here. You can imagine the surpise of those who saw it."

Mina’s eyebrow quirked upwards with horrified surprise as she digested his words Ada had hurt a human within an Esylum, drawn attention to herself and came very close to a Masquerade breech. Still sensing there was yet more she stayed silent as Valerian paused.

"When I asked Ada for an explanation, I recieved none. When I asked her to leave so that I could clean up the mess in whatever way I saw fit, I not only recieved a most charming "fuck you", she also ignored my wish, and instead kept insisting that she and Beyonca of the Ventrue, who for some reason decided to get involved, would take care of it. By dumping the poor girl in an alley not far from here, and leave her there for robbers, rapists and who knows what else."

Mina nodded as he spoke, indicating that she understood the seriousness of the matter very clearly. Her eyes straying over to the fountain as the action was being replayed before her eyes. It was all most unlike what she knew of Ada and she could not help but wonder what had gotten into her. Yet she did not doubt Valerian one bit. Indeed he seemed most generous if it had happened at the Museum there would have been hell to pay and Ada would have been most fortunate to leave with only a ban from the premises for bringing such disgrace upon her clan.

"As for the ban...", Valerian said, moving on to answer Mina's second question with even more firmess in his voice. "The ban will be lifted when I say so. And that will not happen until I see a serious improvement in Ada's character."

Sensing Gemma’s eyes searching for her own she gave her a small smile. What Mina had to say was perfectly fine to be heard by all. And seeing the nerves in the grey orbs helped to calm her down, reminding her that no-one present was to blame. She let out a small sigh, releasing the angry frustration. She knew her temper was a weakness, one which rarely did her any good. She should handle the matter in a way worthy of a Tremere Primogen, not let her anger make a horrific situation worse.

Mina’s words were once again spoken calmly but her tone was smoother taking on her usual mannerisms. “Let me assure you that I take the matter most seriously. Such behaviour is not tolerated. And though you do not need it you have my full support. I expect that Ada will offer you a full personal apology once she realises the consequences of her actions.”

Mina was not averse to making enemies but still there were those like Valerian who she did not wish to harbour any antagonism between. Not out of political, power-hungry motives, but purely because he brought a little light into her life. With a small smile, her eyes once again began to soften as she spoke respectfully. “Valerian, I can only thank you for bringing the matter to my attention yourself. I do appreciate it. I can only hope that the Ada’s actions do not reflect on the rest of us. “

*****************************************************************

"Well Zillah. That is an intersting name. Mine is Beyonca but most call be Bee."

“Yeah, well it ensures people remember me.” He smiled. Which had been the reason he picked it when he came to the city. He needed a name that wouldn’t be forgotten amongst the others. One he could mould to suit himself and the life he had created which held an aura of mystery and danger all of its own.

“Bee, like the insect, a pure shortening I assume rather than a nickname?” Zillah said a teasing smile playing across his face. He could just imagine a sting concealed behind those pretty fascinating eyes.

As they began to walk down the street together Bee asked. " How long have you been in LA?''

“A few years. I moved here when I was thirteen. There’s been so much opportunity around that I’ve stayed. Love the scene.” He laughed gesturing towards the Haven indicating this scene was included as they approached the doors.

He held the door open, waiting for Bee to step inside before him. Finally pushing the shades from his eyes, tentively twisting them into is hair in a hope they'd stay percariously perched on his head. “Don’t think there’s anything quite like this elsewhere. How about you?”

((OCC Sos it doesn't make much sense I'm tierd and my brain refuses to string sentances together

Penny Just to let you know Mina can be a complete b*itch *s* but if Ada speaks to her she’ll soon be OK - well Mina-like-OK (which still isn’t exactly friendly) LOL.))

Mihael&[shortly]Michael

Smoke coiled in lazy spirals into the nighttime skies, toward the hidden stars and the cool moonlight baring down through the ozone layer. The naked eye could count the stars that revealed themselves for very few did not flee from the garish illumination wrought from the bowels of L.A. Timid, pure creatures such as the stars dare not look upon such vice and inequity. It might taint their aura of innocent beauty.

A puff of air sent more smoke hissing into the silence, and it too wafted on unseen winds into nothingness. The moment it entered the inky black was the moment that it began to fade. The moment it began to fade, it grew more and more difficult to see until it was naught. It moved with the same liquid motions of life: a birth, a state of growth, of exploration, a period where the strengths you had gained during that life turned against you, crippled you, and then the ultimate ending to the age-old fairytale--death.

He inhaled, and then softly exhaled again so that yet another breath was born into the heavens. Mihael couldn’t help but ponder what death might be like. It seemed to be a question he would never know the answer to. Looking into the murky lines of his past, he could only faintly recall what loss felt like. The only time he had felt such pain while he was alive came from when his grandfather passed from the realm of the living and melted into a distant world that no one came back from, that no one held proof of.

When Orpheus disappeared, he had felt a strange presence billowing over his heart, though it ghosted away in a matter of days, didn’t make a mark over the scar tissue wound about his soul. Still. He had felt something, and in ways, was that not better than nothing at all? The sense that nothing mattered in the grand scheme of things--relationships, money, wisdom, morals… It had plagued him more than any disease, degraded him so that he was virtually a hollow shell.
Death was a privilege, he decided, smothering the end of his cigarette into the brick wall that supported him. Humans feared death so, though it was a habitual lust for Mihael whose soul never got the chance to rest in peace. Oftentimes he found it so amusing to watch them on their daily routines. He would sometimes even go so far as to stalking a person. He especially enjoyed trailing teenagers, for the hormonal imbalances in their bodies sent their emotions in a frenzy. They were sporadic and their minds only craved for the effect of the day they were living in. A beautiful thing it was, to watch one pour a pile of pills into their hands, ready to end their own lives.

Mihael could only mock them for their stupidity, and yet envy the ease with which they died. In order to end his own life, Mihael would have to endure a bitter end. While he often toyed with the thought of death, he feared the pain of a sunlight death far too great. So watching a young man or woman simply slitting their wrist or popping pills to draw their own end was enough to bring laughter to his lips. He didn’t understand why they would want to kill themselves. They did not know what sheer nothingness felt like, how draining lifelessness could be.
If they only knew, they would cling tightly to the feelings they carried with them and would bear with a warm heart the affections of those around them.

With a heavy sigh his gaze broke from the black heavens, and he dropped from his fingers the cigarette in his hand. As he opened the door for a young woman entering The Haven, he reflected on the last time he had seen the sky adorned with all her fineries, and merely frowned when the ancient memory escaped him.

Bee and Zillah- The Haven

Bee, like the insect, a pure shortening I assume rather than a nickname?" He was teasing her. It wasnt often she was teased. The last person who had done that to her was her friend.

She couldnt help but smile back. " It is short. " She could get the meaing of what a bee could do. If he only knew what kind of sting she could do to him.

“A few years. I moved here when I was thirteen. There’s been so much opportunity around that I’ve stayed. Love the scene.” He gestured towards the doors. She guessed he liked the club.

“Don’t think there’s anything quite like this elsewhere. How about you?”
Bee thought he couldnt possible know how true what he said is. Humans only know so much about the truth. Sometimes they hit the truth so much they couldnt imagine it. Most of the time they havent a clue.

" If there is, they are far and in between." She walked inside the doors and saw the door man raise an eyebrow. She simple nodded. Instantly the smoke and smell of alcohol hit her. She could hear the pounding of heart beats. Hear the racing of blood. It took much strength back to lick her lips. She could almost taste and feel the warm blood training from a human and into her mouth. It was th closetest thing to feeling human. You can feel the warmth through your body. She saw Zillah took off his glasses and she could finally see his eyes. And she looked in his. Looking at someones eyes were impotant to her. The eyes always told the truth. She saw a dangerous look in his. It was very uncommon to see in a human. Most acted it, but they never realy were in their soul. This human was. Bee couldnt help but think how much fun he would be. She smiled brodly. Finally a human that would be worth the time. She could only guess how his blood would taste. How much struggle he would put up. She wouldnt dare try. She never turned someone unless they asked her. Never tasted unless they asked her to do so. The bite of a vampire can be powerful. So people run from it, so look for it. Zillah would be a hell of one though. He would radiant power from him. Be dangerous to mess with.

She guessed he liked be dominant. She put her hand in his arm and let him lead the way.

AtropaMandragora 9th Oct 2007 6:20 PM

Valerian, Mina & Gemma

Valerian had watched Mina closely while he spoke. He'd learned long ago that her skills at keeping her face from betraying her feelings were exceptional. She had a poker face like no other.
But her eyes, on the other hand, always seemed to speak to those who were perceptive enough to catch the tiny glint of anger, mirth, or disdain that on the rare occasion danced in her pitch black pupils.
As Valerian told her about last night's events, he noticed that the coldness seemed to fade, and her gaze softened ever so slightly. That alone was enough to make him relax a little bit more. She understood his reasons, even if it would turn out that she did not agree with them.
However, before she replied, Mina looked over at Gemma and gave her what looked like a reassuring smile, and it was only then that Valerian realized that perhaps the conversation had made the younger Tremere uncomfortable. It had certainly not been his intention when bringing up Ada. He'd thought Mina had known.
It all only went on to prove that one shouldn't simply assume, and that next time, he should wait to bring up what may be delicate matters until being able to do so in private.

"Let me assure you that I take the matter most seriously", Mina said, having turned to Valerian again, and although her tone was now softer, it still mirrored the sincerity of her words. "Such behaviour is not tolerated. And though you do not need it you have my full support. I expect that Ada will offer you a full personal apology once she realises the consequences of her actions."

Now that was something Valerian found hard to believe, considering the attitude and audacity that Ada had shown him just 24 hours ago. But, Mina knew her better, so quite possibly he'd be surprised. He just hoped that if Ada did indeed show up, it would be to offer an honest apology, and not just apologize because it would benefit her, and work in her favour.

"Valerian," Mina continued, her voice now even softer than before and a vague smile grazing her lips. "I can only thank you for bringing the matter to my attention yourself. I do appreciate it. I can only hope that the Ada’s actions do not reflect on the rest of us."

With those words, the last remains of tension left Valerian's mind, and his posture, and he offered a courteous nod, to show that he valued her words. Then, his lips slowly parted as he returned her smile.

"The Tremere have always proved to be a most polite and dignified clan", he said, knowing he was probably only speaking for himself as most Kindred tended to be suspicious of the mysterious Tremere. "Ada's actions reflect on Ada alone."

Then, he turned to Gemma and placed a hand gingerly over his chest, in a humble gesture.

"Gemma", he said as his smile turned softer. "I wish to apologize if I in any way made you feel uncomfortable or unwanted. I assure you it was not my intention to leave you out of the conversation."

Ada Von Vita - The Haven

OOC: Just as a note so no one misunderstands, Ada doesn't hate humans. She just dislikes their weakness. Also, although she comes off somewhat aloof, Ada really is sincere in her apologies.

Ada sighed as she stared at the building in front of her. It was not a horribly drab building, but the crowd was distinctly different then she was use to. She watched as a ganglely teen with a starwars tshirt, pierced lip and poor complexion walked inside. With a grimace Ada turned away. She dreaded was she was going to have to do.

Ada stared at the club. The intoxicating thump of music and the crowds of well dresses vampires and humans alike sent waves of energy through her. This was where she belonged, no matter what she had to do to get inside. Smoothing her lowcut top she walked purposefully towards the doors. Inside her stomache gave a tug of discomfort at the thoughts of what Mina or Valerian would do. She shuddered, a distinctly human gesture that made her lip curl with distaste. She pushed away the tremors and continued forwards. "I'd like to see the owner, Valerian." she told the Kine guard at the door. She knew there was no chance of her mistake being forgotten, but maybe she could atleast apologise enough to smooth things over. The night was still young, there might even be time for some dancing.

Gemma, Mina, and Valerian : The Haven

A weight immediately lifted off of Gemma's shoulders as Mina gave a small smile, letting her know that this was okay for her to hear, and that this would not end in shouting.

Gemma noticed that Mina seemed to calm after looking into her eyes, putting Gemma more at ease with the situation, she put one hand on her hip and listened to the conversation between Mina and Valerian.

As the conversation ended quite well, Valerian turned to Gemma and said in his charming voice, "Gemma, I wish to apologize if I in any way made you feel uncomfortable or unwanted. I assure you it was not my intention to leave you out of the conversation."

Gemma smiled softly at the Toreador, melting under his gaze as his hand crossed his chest.

"It is quite alright. The issue you discussed with Mina was of utmost importance, I truly understand," Gemma replied elegantly, second-guessing everything she said.

"You are making a fool out of yourself tonight! They probably think you are a blubbering idiot; maybe you should just not speak," the little demon on her shoulder nagged her. As Gemma wrestled with the little demon, she realized that she could not be worse of than this poor Ada that Valerian and Mina were speaking of. Gemma perked up and smiled outwardly.

"I just wanted to tell you, Mister Valerian, that this establishment you are running is truly amazing. It must be terribly hard to keep it running smoothly. You must be a miracle worker," Gemma tilted her head towards the ground and gazed up at Valerian, smiling softly.

Valerian, Gemma & Mina

"It is quite alright. The issue you discussed with Mina was of utmost importance, I truly understand."

Gemma's smile as she spoke was soft and held such honesty it was easy to tell that she, unlike many, wasn't just being polite. And it was a beautiful, genuine smile too, that made Valerian's own widen a little bit. Finally a Tremere that didn't seem to feel the overwhelming need to distance herself from everyone but her fellow clan members.
Not that he minded Mina's aloofness - on the contrary, he appreciated it because it was part of what attracted him to her, and also part of what made her Mina - but the futile effort of trying to get an itty bit closer to her and offer her an experience he knew she would appreciate, sometimes seemed to wear down his self-esteem and his confidence. Just a little bit.

"I just wanted to tell you, Mister Valerian, that this establishment you are running is truly amazing", Gemma said with a renewed smile. "It must be terribly hard to keep it running smoothly. You must be a miracle worker."

Valerian laughed softly, thinking that if he had indeed been completely in charge of things, The Haven would've probably gone bankrupt in the blink of an eye.

"Ah, how I hate to disappoint such a lovely lady", he said, his eyes filled with mirth as they locked with Gemma's. "But I have to be honest. I'm just a pretty face. The owner and the host, but not the manager."

He gave her a humorous wink, and then glanced at Mina to see if she was finding the idea of him keeping The Haven a successful establishment as amusing as he was. His complete lack of interest in finances and politics was as widely known in Kindred society as his love for people; Kindred and Kine alike.

"And please", he added, looking back at Gemma again with another soft smile on his lips. "Just call me Valerian. Titles make me uncomfortable, as they have me thinking you're talking to someone else."

Zillah & Bee: The Haven

"If there is, they are far and in between." Bee said as she walked inside and Zillah noticed her exchange a look with the door staff. Must be a regular. She looked the type of girl to party all night. He followed her close behind, sliding into her shadow, unwilling tonight to hand over his weapon unless asked. Hoping not to be remembered.

The ploy appeared to work. And he got through the door unchallenged only to fall headfirst into Bee’s eyes. Their golden glow seemed to swarm all around him. The contact he’d avoided through the dark shades now devouring him, as if she could read the thoughts that ripped through his skull like flying daggers. For a second he held his breath before tearing his eyes away. Reminding himself why he was here. He’d wanted to dance, to drink and forget Carmilla, but still a flicker of warning ran through him. He would forget it all within those amber orbs.

Bee
placed her hand delicately upon his arm and Zillah moved forwards guiding her across the room, hips snaking as his eyes stalked the spaces and corners observing the gathering with a predatory gaze. She was not amongst the crowd but there were others he recognised, elegantly decorating the bar like a display of exotic lilies.

Zillah paused only once they reached the end of the bar, beside the dance floor where bodies shimmered to the ethereal music. “JD’s on the rocks, leave the bottle, and a flute of champagne for the lady.” He confidently told the barman extracting a single note from the stack he slid from his snakeskin wallet. Guessing a woman’s drink was one of his favourite tricks. Even if he could not clock what their tastes were by observing their preference it still rarely failed. If he got it right, they were delighted, if it was wrong they often still sipped the drink demurely, unwilling to offend him by correcting his guess.

He downed his own glass once it arrived, the liquid burning down his throat with its own heated rage. Pouring himself another he turned once again to his companion, eyes raising to her own, a hint of jade shining from beneath the thick dark lashes. “Would you like to dance?” He asked Bee a cocky smile gracing his rosebud lips.

Beyonca and Zillah dancing

Zillah felt uncomfortable with her looking in his eyes. She half exspected for him to put his glasses back now. He was a secreative man. But with eyes like his it was hard to look away. She loved the jade in them and the way they had so much to tell someone if he would let lose.

“JD’s on the rocks, leave the bottle, and a flute of champagne for the lady.”

She grinned. Her favorite as a human. It has been a long time since she drank champagne. She wished she could taste it again. She watched him down his drink and then pour him a another before he looked at her. She held her champayne to her lips. So so she could get a taste in her mouth.

" Would you like to dance?" The grin he had would knock any near mortal one the floor. But of course she was not mortal. " Why yes. I would love to."

She knew a flash of excitement rolled in her eyes. Lets see how well he dances. She got to her feet and took his hand and went to the dance floor. She could feel the rythm through her body. It was a pulse and the only one she had at the moment. They only pulse she would get was music. She let go. The only way for her to make love for enjoyment is to dance. So to her is was like she was. Beyonca could only hope he was as good. Bees hips swayed with the music. Her hair was tossing over her shoulders. She loved the way her hair felt over her body when she dance. It was like fluttering silk over her. She knew too most men would die to feel it. Bee turned so her back faced him. She slide her hand over her hands up her body as she pulled her hair from her neck and let it drop. She turned her head to the side and watched him. Zillah watched her so intently. He has a spark in his eyes. She turned to face him. She couldnt help but look in those mysterious eyes.

Zillah & Bee _ Mina & Gemma & Valerian: The Haven

Zillah and Bee

"Why yes. I would love to." Bee responded a flash of excitement flooding through her eyes as she took his hand and led him towards the dance floor.

Zillah initially just stood smiling, wickedly watching her as the music overtook her body and she began swaying seductively hair flowing around her in its ebony cascade. Devouring the sight of her dancing before him. Then he pulled a cigarette from his packet, lighting it with a flash of flame before allowing the smoke to trail languidly from his lips.

Pushing the long ashen strands out of his face he began to move himself. Slowly swaying, he preferred harder heavier beats that he could loose some aggression into. Still his feet moved confidently but his focus shifted from his companion as he watched the other dancers, wishing he could just loose himself into it all as he realised that he was not as drunk as he’d hoped.

Self-conscious of his soberness he glanced towards the groups stood around talking as he tried to fit into the pulse of the music. Spotting the ice queen at the bar Zillah flashed her one of his most lethal smiles dripping with sarcasm. Though he’d never admit it his ego was still bruised from their last encounter. He’d done her a favour sorting out some slimebag who’d seen fit to use his fists on one of the girls. Afterwards he’d merely suggested that he stay, help clear up and maybe they could have a drink and waste some hours together. All the thanks he’d got was her cruelly twisting every element of his life into a reason why he’d never, ever get anywhere near her. Still the b*tch probably slept wearing a chastity belt.

Mina dismissed instantly his gaze returned to Bee “You move beautifully.” He complimented, eyes dancing over her body as she swayed before him. “But I need more to drink, first.”

***************************************
Mina & Gemma & Valerian:

"The Tremere have always proved to be a most polite and dignified clan
Ada's actions reflect on Ada alone."
Valerian responded before turning to address Gemma "Gemma,. I wish to apologize if I in any way made you feel uncomfortable or unwanted. I assure you it was not my intention to leave you out of the conversation."

The situation resolved to her satisfaction Mina slid a slim pale hand around her glass and brought the cold velvet liquid upwards. Her nostrils flared just the slightest with the dark stoutly tones, a small silent pleasure. With the art of a magician the glass brushed her lips so that she appeared to take a delicate sip before laying it down upon the bar. Whilst she continued listening to the conversation.

"It is quite alright. The issue you discussed with Mina was of utmost importance, I truly understand." Gemma responded , and Mina gave her a small smile of endorsement. At least some of the Tremere were managing to remember their manners and treat Valerian with the respect he deserved. After all they were effectively in his home and one should always honour that fact.

"I just wanted to tell you, Mister Valerian, that this establishment you are running is truly amazing", Gemma said with a renewed smile. "It must be terribly hard to keep it running smoothly. You must be a miracle worker."

"Ah, how I hate to disappoint such a lovely lady", he said, his eyes filled with mirth as they locked with Gemma's. "But I have to be honest. I'm just a pretty face. The owner and the host, but not the manager."

Another smile graced Mina’s lips this time the good-natured humour reaching her eyes as she caught Valerian’s gaze with her own. It was a well known fact that he would soon run the club to the ground if Claudia would let him always have his way. Gemma drew logical but unfortunately incorrect assumptions with an honest eagerness. Mina could only hope that trait carried forward into her studies. Still she realised one of the first areas she’d need to have Bo suggest was a few card games. Gemma wore her emotions clearly upon her face for all to read, which although not currently a problem it would prove one once the girl entered into a few of the Tremere pathways. It made her a liability.

Mina missed Valerian’s next words as catching a figure swaying through the corner of her vision head snapped around. The punk who ran around with some of the dolls. Her lip curled upwards with distaste as her eyes narrowed following him and Bee making their way across the club. The man was nothing but filthy trouble; she’d had to replace the cafe’s glass bar after he’d used some idiots head to shatter it into a million glittering shards. Cleaning up the mess after the insolent human’s actions had left a bitter taste in her mouth. And even though Zillah’s known presence in the museum neighbourhood kept other gangs at bay she still harboured an intense dislike for his arrogant carcass.

But as her attention returned back to the conversation between Valerian and Gemma she spotted one of the clubs staff approaching. Following him pathway of descent she spotted Ada waiting near the doorway to The Haven. Leaning forward slightly she spoke to Valerian her eyes flowing towards the entrance. “I think someone wishes to speak to you.” She was careful not hold any implication of emotion in her voice. She would surely deal with Ada later but when and if Valerian chose to see her was his own to make.

((OCC Isley ignore Mina - I love Gemma, - Mina’s just a stale old Tremere )).

Zillah and Bee

Zillah was staring at her, she could feel it. His eyes moved over her body. He was taking in ever curve she had. SHe could smel the cigereete he was smoking.

Eventually he began to move with her. She could tell by his movements that it wasnt his king of music, but he was confident in his sways. He needed to losin up a bit.

“You move beautifully.” He complimented, eyes dancing over her body as she swayed before him. “But I need more to drink, first.”

She wasnt surprised. Maybe the drinking would losin him up. She smiled at him. "Well thankyou. Im glad you like my dancing." She followed him to the bar. She sat down on a stool.

She saw Mina talking with Valerian and Gemma. Most likely talking about last nights events. She woundered where Ada was. She would have to come aplogize herself. She saw Mina wisper something to Valerian and they looked towards the doors. She couldnt help but wounder if it was Ada by the look on him face. She looked at the doors and it was her. She smiled and nodded at Ada. She was glad to see her here. Apparentaly she was thinikng the same thing she was. Wanting to apologize to get on the same track. The sooner it was behind them all the better. Now they just had to wait for the Prince to find out.

She averted her attension back to Zillah. She studdied his fetures. She woundered what he did for a living. He was a handsome man. No doubt had many women in his time. She gazed over his body. His stand was well put together. He held himself confindentally. She liked that in a man.

AtropaMandragora 10th Oct 2007 11:55 PM

Valerian, Mina, Gemma & Ada

As Valerian addressed Gemma, he noticed out of the corner of his eye that something seemed to have caught Mina's attention. Being the curious young man that he was, he let his gaze follow hers. Ah. The young blonde mortal that had spent most of last night talking to one of Mina's fellow Tremere. Now in the company of Beyonca.
A smirk darted across Valerian's lips. My, my, he certainly had an interesting taste in women, that one. Did he know they were vampires? Or was he just subconsciously drawn to Kindred, fascinated by their enigmatic presence, and their eyes that held an experience too vast for any mere mortal?
Last night, Valerian had briefly considered approaching him, as there was something... quite intriguing about him. A fleeting look in his eyes that reminded Valerian of himself, but in a dark, twisted form. The man's interest in the Tremere female, however, had made him decide against it. The Tremere were quite possessive about their toys, and Valerian didn't want to step on any toes.

Just like she had caused it to drift, Mina soon brought Valerian's attention back to herself. The intensity of her presence as she leaned closer to him snapped him out of his thoughts and he couldn't help but to respond by leaning in a little bit himself.

"I think someone wishes to speak to you."

Her tone was neutral, and yet Valerian instantly knew of whom she spoke. But he still turned his head to look, allowing his gaze to once again be guided by hers.
Indeed, it seemed Beyonca wasn't the only vampire from last night's incident that had something to say to him this evening. Ada had just walked through the door.
And despite his attempts, Valerian couldn't stop his upper lip from curling in a faint snarl. He had not forgotten the language she'd used with him, nor the complete lack of respect in her actions.

"Excuse me", he said to Mina and Gemma, without taking his eyes off of Ada, and then started making his way over to the entrance.

Stopping right infront of Ada, he folded his arms across his chest and looked at her. But this time, he didn't wait for her to speak. Instead, he himself opened his mouth, and judging by his tone of voice, he wasn't all too thrilled to see her there.

"You've got some nerve..."

Gemma, Mina, and Valerian - The Haven

Gemma pushed a few loose strands of hair out of her face, embarassed because she mistook Valerian to also be the manager of the club. Gemma tried to hold back blushing as Mina leaned over and whispered to Valerian. Valerian turned towards the door, Gemma followed his gaze, seeing a Tremere woman standing by the entrance. Gemma could only assume this woman as Ada.

"Excuse me", Valerian departed towards the Tremere, taking his warming aura with him.

Gemma looked up apologetically at Mina, she should have stopped while she was ahead.

"I am sorry for my mistaken assumption. As you can see, I have much to learn. I hope I did not embarass you too much," Gemma replied, looking towards Mina's gaze. She genuinely felt bad for her mistake and hoped Valerian did not think any less of her for it; they did, however, seem to laugh it off.

As she waited for Mina to reply, Gemma studied her posture. She nonchaulantly tried to emulate Mina's stance, wanting to look as elegant and mysterious as the wise Tremere. While she was not able to get Mina's posture exactly right, she adapted it to herself in what she hoped was a graceful and poised way. Afterall, when standing next to the most enticing woman in the room, one has to at least attempt to look interesting. She hoped Mina did not notice the shift in her stance, but that was highly unlikely.

Michael&Mihael

They were small, white creatures, dwarfed by the velvet flesh that found them their current residence. The largest one was no greater than a slight pea and while it stared with the softest of gazes, the weary face looking upon them knew better than to eat from their false truths. Yet, while those sapphire eyes could decipher the honest deceptions, that wisdom wavered at the prospect of the flash of freedom that came with white lies and so they were hefted into a great cavern--all seven of the trembling, impish creatures--and as soon as they were downed the cave’s mouth closed, until all became dark and silent, and they vanished into a world unknown.

It wouldn’t take long for their effects to settle in, for the waves of crippling anxiety to slip away from every pore and enter once more into the atmosphere, to relieve the pressure of the day if only for a fleeting moment. Though, such freedom would come with a cost, for the greater they permeated their beautiful toxins into innocent blood, the greater the toll came on the young host’s mind until she, too, faded into darkness with her precious pills.

As the moments ticked by with a sickening lurch, the hinges piecing together the complexities of the mind unclasped so that the haze they guarded spilled thick and warm over her every sense. Brushing her fingers alongside the counter brought her little more than a sensation of numbness, and everything blurred together in a solitary black clot, the yelps of the sheltie dog crumpled, wrinkled, distorted, until the sounds surrounding it collapsed in upon it and nothing could be heard. Despite all this, she found herself very much aware of the degeneration that her body was undertaking and her clumsy legs brought her stumbling into the living room, seeking some makeshift emergency landing.

There her body fell limp and useless onto the rotting couch who, in return, groaned as her fineries of fast food wrappers and discarded wine bottles pressed into her abdomen with a mercilessness. Michael Hidenburg’s eyes hesitated as they began to close, something in the back of her mind questioning what the strange sensation in her hand was, though as the drugs gave a harder tug on her reigns, she obediently followed into a world washed with nothingness.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Something warm and wet rolled down Michael’s arm, stroking a moist finger down, down the porcelain skin ornamenting her arms. The presence of the crimson stream did not immediately waken into the young maiden’s mind, whose drug-induced doze left her groggy and, perhaps, near senseless as she rolled from the couch and stood on quavering legs just before the coffee table.

Her eyes lingered over its shimmering surface for numerous moments, each thought focusing its hardest on obtaining a lucid feeling over the body again. However, this did little good and her eyes could only view her ratty, sleep-drenched features and the snarl across her face deepened as every fiber of her being screeched at how she detested that woman staring back at her.

Away from the cluttered living room she stumbled, into the kitchen where the counters and the rickety oak table swam in her disoriented state. At the corner of her peripheral vision a fuzzy, brownish blob was opening and closing its mouth in repeated motions, and the echoes of its call caught her on the softest breath, the tender wheezing of her little sheltie. When she rose her hand to comfort him a single drop of that crimson brilliance spiraled down to the linoleum below and Michael barely managed to stifle the scream that raked through her windpipe and rattled her brain--for the shimmering object jutting from her palm had caught the light in that same moment, and every shard of pain that her medication barred from her came rebounding back with an intensity multiplied by every stray second.

A series of curses fluttered over her lips as she gripped her wrist tightly, eyes scraping each corner of the labyrinthine room for some hope of escape from the pain wrenching through her veins with each bloody pump of the heart. The only aid to be scraped up was that of the paper towels, which she laid out in a shabby covering over the counter, before hastily setting the wounded hand upon it and began to pry out the glass that adorned her hand. The remedy came in a slow and painful fit, and even once the glass sat cool against the blood-soaked counter, her job was not done.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everything stank, the rank of blood lingered over every corner and crevasse of the dingy apartment--and as the littered couch sank with the weight of Michael, the young woman’s only thoughts pondered over how much life sucked, how much people sucked, and what a loser she herself was at the game everyone else succeeded at so well. As the sheltie’s yaps and incessant scraping grew louder in the bedroom, Michael found frustration mounting, and the pain in her fist was almost unbearable beneath the poorly applied gauze.

She needed the soothing caress of a drink, the soft touch of a champagne as it lolled against her tongue and brought her into a snug, warm daze. Yes. It sounded marvelous, wonderful. But wherever would she go? Every hot spot in the town was little more than a nesting ground for hoodlums and greasy old men looking to knock up some beautiful, young virgin.

Something gave a gentle tug at the corner of her mind, though she very well could not process it with all of the distractions racing through her mind. She felt as though the idea might be something quite obvious, that once she recalled it, her own thoughts might chastise her for her ignorance. A bit of her might even rebuke for the abuse of her pills--though, that was something that could be quelled with a fleeting taste of how life was led without them.

With a sound face palm, and a noisy groan, Michael hissed, “The Haven, of course!”

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michael drew her coat tightly about her slight frame, and she felt alien-esque in her attire of the evening: a clunky chocolate-brown sweater that dangled precariously about her frail shoulders, a short, cream-colored skirt accented with a pair of caramel leggings and cloth, beige boots. She didn’t know what it was about the clothing that felt so out of place, but she felt exposed--or perhaps it was trapped. She couldn’t quite place her finger on it, her mind still hadn’t fully healed from the damage wrought by the drug-laced euphoria.

“You going in?”
Michael let out a slight sound of surprise as her gaze settled onto a familiar figure, the same young man who, just the previous night had gazed so suspiciously upon her. As though to mimic her, the young man’s eyes widened in response, and he continued, “Ah, you’re the pianist from yesterday. Here to play again?”

The young woman once again self-consciously pulled at the corners of her coat, and she shook her head in a timid manner, “No. I’m just here to see the other entertainment.”

The mahogany eyes of the young man cast a suspicious glance as his brow shot upwards, though he spoke not another word unto her, rather, the sweeping motion of his hand uttered every phrase for him. Michael nodded, before entering through the doors into The Haven, where she did not linger for more than a second--her hawk-like swoop guided her immediately to the bar, where she intended to gather her drink, observe for suspicious activity, and leave.

ooc: Blah. Blah. Blahhh. Michael is approachable, as is Mihael…mergggg

Ada & Valerian - The Haven

Stopping right infront of Ada, he folded his arms across his chest and looked at her. But this time, he didn't wait for her to speak. Instead, he himself opened his mouth, and judging by his tone of voice, he wasn't all too thrilled to see her there.

"You've got some nerve..."

Ada immediately bristled at the tone in Valerian's voice. Taking a breath, she was careful to keep her tone emotionless when she spoke. "I didn't come to argue Valerian, I came to apologise. I never meant to hurt that girl, I forgot how sensitive humans can be. I know, that's not an excuse for what I did and I know it will be a long time before I will be fully trusted again. I'm sorry for what I did though, and for disrespecting you in your own club." Ada glanced nervously at him, searching for the twitch of a lip or a softening of his posture that would tell her whether or not she was forgiven.

Zillah & Bee / Mina & Gemma & Valerian: The Haven

Zillah and Bee

Bee replied "Well thankyou. Im glad you like my dancing." And a smug smile of satisfaction formed across Zillah’s lips as he took his seat at the bar. Leaning against it his body inclined towards her. She appeared most receptive to his advances. He only wished he could escape the haunting of Carmilla through his mind and so reciprocate fully himself.

He poured and downed another drink. Aware of Bee’s eyes that studied him in their intent amber gaze. He wondered what conclusions she drew about him. Did she think him some rich playboy, with his nonchalant airs who could show her a good time. Or did those eyes penetrate his skull to see the terrible deeds he so readily performed in order to maintain this lifestyle.

Another glass tipped down his neck and he started to feel the effects, the warm wash dimming his senses, beginning to slur his thoughts. Bee seemed like an enchanted princess, yet one who could be bought by anyone having the required tender. Not that it was a bad thing, far from it. He admired a girl who strove to get what she wanted, with enigmatic smiles and the dizzying flash of liquid gold.

The slightest hint of a slur blended across Zillah’s voice of spun-honey. “So darlin’, where did you acquire such stunning moves? Are you are a dancer, the ballet perhaps?”

*********************************************
Mina & Gemma & Valerian

Valerian's lip curled into a low snarl of distaste as his gaze followed Mina’s to Ada. The girl had best give him a most elegantly presented sincere apology. Mina herself shot a glare of ice cold fury towards the door as Valerian excused himself from their presence. But her face composed itself back into its elegant poise as she turned back to Emma.

"I am sorry for my mistaken assumption. As you can see, I have much to learn. I hope I did not embarass you too much," Gemma asked her apologetic gaze meeting Mina’s as she shifted into an even more elegant posture. Mina noticed the mirroring of her own stance and took it as a show of great respect. Gemma was already adapting the air of a disciplined Tremere most satisfactory. How quickly she picked up the mannerism was a delightful surprise which endeared her further to Mina.

“My dear, you do not embarrass me. The trains of thought you logically brought together to form the conclusion are understandable. All I ever expect is that one uses the senses and mind available to them to decipher the facts presented and give the conclusions reached the correct reaction.“ Mina's face broke into a soft smile which lit her eyes with a faint compassionate glow. She gently placed one hand over Gemma’s giving it a small squeeze before replacing her hand back into her own lap where it regained its smart composure. Though it was only a small gesture of reassurance, for Mina it was an extravagant show of compassion and respect for the young Tremere.

“As long as you are willing, the learning will come. You are very young, there is much time for perfecting the mind. Indeed we are all still learning.” Her head inclined slightly indicating that indeed she herself was far from perfection. “Abide the code of the Tremere, transform your experiences into knowledge. It will come.”

((OCC Just wondering when we are moving on for if we should start to tie this night up or not? :D

Query re Elysium: – within them we cannot use the disciplines but can we use other magic? Not got anything in mind but thought I’d clear this up as the Tremere and possibly other clans are inclined towards magic and trickery. Obviously nothing that would break the Masquerade.))

Gemma and Mina - The Haven

“My dear, you do not embarrass me. The trains of thought you logically brought together to form the conclusion are understandable. All I ever expect is that one uses the senses and mind available to them to decipher the facts presented and give the conclusions reached the correct reaction.“ Mina replied to Gemma's hearfelt apology with her own sincerity. As Mina said this she reached over to Gemma's hand and gave it a light squeeze before taking the hand back for herself.

Gemma was amazed by this out-of-character gesture. She could tell it was sincere and genuine. She smiled softly at Mina, showing her teeth only slightly.

"Thank you, that does mean a lot to me, and thank you so much for your earlier offer; I will be sure to take you up on that as long as it is still on the table. You truly have been so wonderful to me tonight, you've been a great welcoming back to society," Gemma said softly to Mina, "It's a shame day-break must fall upon us so soon. I feel like we have so much more we could talk about; you are such an interesting and respectable woman."

Gemma slowly brought her glass to her light pink lips, taking a small sip out of the glass, and then replacing it upon the surface of the bar. This was one of the better nights that Gemma had had lately, and she really did not want it to end.

Zillah and Bee

Bee watched Zillah drink. She could se his eyes plinging more with every drink.

“So darlin’, where did you acquire such stunning moves? Are you are a dancer, the ballet perhaps?”

Bee smiled. "No. I just like to dance. No training or anything. I just dance how I feel when I am out there."

She turned toward Ada again to see valerian had made it over there. Valerian didnt look to happy at the moment. Ada was looking nerveous. She turned back to Zillah.

"So Zillah. What is it that you do for a living?" She has been wanting to know for a while. She couldnt help but think it has something to do with the danger sign that was pringted in his essence.

Valerian & Ada

(((ooc: veldagia - I really have no idea when we're moving on. I think we said one RT week for one RP night, but it seems to me that most of our active players have just gotten started, so... I don't know. Plus I haven't talked to dev in the last couple of days (she's really, really, busy, poor thing). However, if you guys want to move one, let me know, and we'll move on to the third night tomorrow.

As for Elysiums and magic; magic is too similar to disciplines to be viewed differently, and so unfortunately, no magic is allowed either. )))

Having reached Ada, Valerian studied her face closely, her eyes in particular. After the scene she had caused last night, and her vocal objections to his way of trying to protect his club, he doubted she was here to offer a sincere apology.
And so he wasn't surprised to see her eyes flare with anger at his initial comment. Though when she spoke, she kept her voice calm, and devoid of any emotion.

"I didn't come to argue Valerian, I came to apologise. I never meant to hurt that girl, I forgot how sensitive humans can be. I know, that's not an excuse for what I did and I know it will be a long time before I will be fully trusted again. I'm sorry for what I did though, and for disrespecting you in your own club."

With that she fell silent, and glanced up at him, obviously searching for a sign of wether or not he was accepting her apology. The way one of his eyebrows drifted upwards told her he was far from impressed. To him, that apology sounded exactly like what he had expected; all the right words, for all the wrong reasons. Her detached tone indicated she was speaking words that, to her, held no real meaning. Had she been truely sorry, her voice would've resounded with guilt and regret. It didn't.

"Do you take me for a fool?" he asked, and looked at her with an almost eerie calmness in his azure eyes.

Just then, the young pianist from last night entered; the one that according to Mihael had seen the whole thing. How ironic.
And how perfect. Valerian never did get a chance to talk to her after her performance last night. Hopefully, he'd get his chance this evening.

However, he didn't allow his gaze to linger for more than a brief moment, before turning it back to the matter that currently required his attention; Ada.

((OCC Thanks Atropa - I'm quite happy to continue this night = just didn't want to get ZIllah too drunk if we were continuing this one.

Zillah and Bee

Bee smiled. "No. I just like to dance. No training or anything. I just dance how I feel when I am out there."

She then glanced toward the door as though distracted by something going on., or perhaps he was loosing his charm and she was looking for an escape. Zillah followed her gaze but couldn’t make out more than a blur of shapes at that distance. Bodies moving through the dark blending into the shadows.

"So Zillah. What is it that you do for a living?" She asked returning her attention back to him.

Zillah gave a rugged smile. “Business and Financial Representative.” He replied with only his job title, omitting any details of his trade. Some girls got touchy if they discovered what he actually did. It had earned him a few slap across the face before when they mistook what his job actually entailed. It was easier for them to believe what ever they wanted.

***************************

Mina and Emma

"Thank you, that does mean a lot to me, and thank you so much for your earlier offer; I will be sure to take you up on that as long as it is still on the table. You truly have been so wonderful to me tonight, you've been a great welcoming back to society," Gemma said softly to Mina, "It's a shame day-break must fall upon us so soon. I feel like we have so much more we could talk about; you are such an interesting and respectable woman."

Mina inclined her head graciously accepting the compliments with the dignity of a queen. “The offer remains open. Please just let Bo know when you would wish to visit.” She did not put a timeframe upon the offer, politeness dictated that it would stay open for a couple of weeks before fading into obscurity within the shadows of her mind.

Emma’s mention of daybreak brought the thought to Mina so she leaned forward her words whispered like wind blowing through grass into her ear. “Have you fed yet? When Valerian returns he may have a doll handy if that is a concern to you?”

Her lips pursed as though to say more but then she spotted the elder Tremere entering the Haven. Miheal was unmistakable with his small stature, ever the boy with his dark choppy hair and deep cherry lips. Until you noticed the mahogany eyes that revealed within them the wisdom of an elder.

The austere sight came as a bit of a shock to Mina. Mihael was known to be reclusive. She herself hadn’t seen him in the few short months since she had acquired the title of Primogen and was unsure as to how he felt on the matter. She was aware some of the male Tremere had contested a female holding any authority in the city. Certainly in Europe the majority of the positions were held by the eldest male, the old fashioned hierarchy strictly adhered to despite willing female minds. Yet she did not know if Mihael had been one to support or oppose her within the clan or if he had distanced himself from the politics of it all.

Mina's eyes flashed with suspicion for a fleeting moment but she quickly replaced it with an inviting smile. Still her eyes were wary as she nodded a greeting towards Mihael before returning her eyes to rest upon Emma.

((OCC Cherry if you want me to change anything I said re Mihael just let me know as always Also was an invite over if you wish to join us. ))

Zillah and Bee

“Business and Financial Representative.” Zillah told her a bit slurred.
Bee knew he was drunk. She woundered if he always got wasted when with women. He didnt look like that is what he did. His apperance gave more off than that. She knew there was something more. Or maybe she was wrong. Maybe he scared the people into taking deals.

"Oh really. You dont look like that would be your profession." She raised an eyebrow and gave a devilish grin.
" Do you often bring women here?"

Carmilla (and Seath) - a Tremere mansion

#14 [Second Night, starting at the first night]

The whole way home from The Haven, Seath didn't say a word. Neither did Carmilla. She was waiting. She knew there had to be something for him to say, something to comment on what he had seen her doing. Talking to another man, without supervision. The abomination...

They arrived at the estate, a large manor that held residence to a group of Tremere. Here they could uphold the bloodbonds they had created among each other, practice and enforce their blood magic to the heart of the vampire world. Although they had down to earth security around the mansion, that was mainly for nosy humans lurking around. For other vampires they had more sophisticated methods. The rumours of the clan alone shun them away. But for those who dare to enter their domains uninvited, the Tremere have such entangled and labyrinthine magic tricks and gambits. The intruders live to tell the tale, only because of the Prince and the Masquerade. Of course, they can not tell the whole tale... Most of it is lost in the magic blood maze that is the Tremere.

Seath and Carmilla lived in seperate bedrooms, but in the same hallway. The silence between them continued all the way upstairs, until he opened the door to Carmillas room and let her in. Then the silence broke. It was all too familiar, the ill will in his eyes when he turned to her and gave her a piece of his mind. She never had any hope to be let off the hook, she knew him too well. She backed deeper into the room, as if she could get away. He was furious, although he didn't raise his voice much. She was thankful this was a home to more than them, therefor Seath could not tell her off at the top of his voice.

As usual, Carmilla started to cry, and tried to cover her face with her hands. But Seath always grabed hold of her arms and made her look at him. He wanted to be sure he had her attention, even though he was a Tremere Elder he sometimes reduced himself to foolish human behaviour.
He let her know she had humiliated him, brought shame to the house of the Tremere. He did not mean the very house they were in, but the clan as a whole. She was a disgrace, and she had undermined him. She was all but the devil, and the words cascaded over her.

He left her there, kneeling on the floor with her hands over her head. He locked the door. Locked her in, and the outside world out. She had never felt so small before, he had never given her so much hatred before. But then again, she had never tried to really break free before.

Carmilla lied on the bed the rest of that night. Sometimes wide awake, sometimes far away in her sleep. The next night she woke up to the sound of a wolf howling at the new moon. That would have been unusual, had she been a human, and she probably would have thought it to be a dog not a wolf. But as a Tremere, as a vampire alone, she knew it was a wolf. A lone Gangrel, crying at the moon. His lonliness made her remember her own, as if it was easy to forget...

She went to the window, with the bars outside, and looked out. She was hoping, dreaming and wishing. All the tricks within her, and she still was a prisoner. How fatuous and absurd.

Zillah & Bee - The Haven

"Oh really. You dont look like that would be your profession." Bee raised an eyebrow and gave a devilish grin.

“Really, what do I look like I’d do?” Zillah asked a smile teasing across his berry-bitten lips as he poured himself another drink. But this one he cradled between his warm hands, staring as though the wonders of the world might be revealed in the sloshing of amber against the glass. He realised he was getting drunk, inching closer to the point of no return. Bee’s intensity that swarmed from the gold orbs made him slightly uneasily. Normally he was the one pulling the shots but right now he couldn’t be too sure.

" Do you often bring women here?" Bee asked.

“Its only the 2nd time I’ve been. But kinda like it, there’s a rawness to the atmosphere. No-body cares. Quite perfect.” Zillah replied and then what she had said clicked like a trigger firing in his head, shattering the skull and exposing the pulsating mass of neurons and gilial to the night air. Was she implying this was a date?

Zillah ran one hand through his moondust hair, slowly raising his jade orbs. Could he not just forget Carmilla, banish the haunting face from his mind for just a few hours? Even this drink with another woman felt like a betrayal, yet he did not understand what there was to betray. He only knew no-one had made him feel the way she did when she held him fixed in her gaze. The regret showed in his eyes as they finally met Bee's, the demon that chained him to a memory of a few passing moments. Bee was enchantment itself, a divine goddess descended from the sky so why could he not just break the spell that claimed his soul?

“You seem quite familiar with this place, a regular?” Zillah asked, trying to keep the lighthearted tone steady in his syrupy voice and not be plunged into the dark world of drunkenness.

innoscenteyes 12th Oct 2007 11:05 PM

“Really, what do I look like I’d do?” He looked uneasy wiht the question. He stared into the drink as if he didnt want to look at her.

"Not what you said to do. You look more dangerous. Like you need more of a thrill job. It besides the point. You dont need to tell." She knew he was lying. The way he just stared into his drink. The way he asked the question. She didnt want to push it.

" Do you often bring women here?" Bee asked.

“Its only the 2nd time I’ve been. But kinda like it, there’s a rawness to the atmosphere. No-body cares. Quite perfect.”

She could see him dive into drunkness even more. He looked at her and she had an overall felling that something was wrong. She could see on his face that something was troubling him. Strange she thought. SHe could see guilty in his eyes. She woundered what he could be guilty over. Humans can get upset over the smallest things. If he could see what she has donr in her life time. His heart would shatter. Still it amused her. Human emotions did. It was strange how he could hit on the spot of how this place was. If he only knew the owner was a vampire. A strong vampire that could preswade peoples mind with a look.

“You seem quite familiar with this place, a regular?” Zillah asked

Bee looked at him and gave a half smile." I have often enough. I am quite fond of this place. I have meet a few interesting people here. As you said it is the atmosphere of how this place feels. I know the feeling all so well." Bee gave a fake short laugh. She didnt much like talking about her feelings. She didnt really have any. She didnt give a damn about much at all.

She turned to look at him looked him in his eyes. " So tell me, what has you riled up inside." She knew it was a daring statment but she said the hell with it. If he kept coming here and hangin with vampires like he did last night with Carmilla and now her, it wasnt going to be to long before he doesnt give a damn about anything either.

Then it hit her. She woundered if Carmilla was the reason he was looking that way. A spark came to her eyes. She woundered if she should tell him about who Carmilla is. It might ease his pain a bit. Or it could worsen it.

Milo (Malkavian) - His workplace; the morgue

#5 [Second Night, Milo's about 24 hours old.]

Yeah, going to work was a great idea. Top notch. When Milo had explained himself to the boss, why he disappeared last night and why he failed to at least pick up the phone and let him know he wasn't coming to work on time, he was left alone in the mourge. Milo had no clue why his boss believed him, as he was clearly lying. To Milo it was obvious, and he couldn't understand why his boss didn't call him on it. Since Milo didn't know the truth to begin with, lying was even harder, he realized.

But he was soon occupied. The morgue was filled with corpses. Drowned victims, stabbed victims, blunt force victims... They were all there. And they were talking to him.

I was walking down Mulberry Lane
I met a man doing the same

Milo smiled, a polite smile you use when trying to calm someone into thinking nothing is out of order, although all hell is breaking loose in the back. One step at a time... That was the motto. Milo slowly walked across the room, between the stretchers. He poked them, one by one, but he didn't dare to check under the eyelids. At least not yet. No one moved. Okay. Maybe he had to poke them harder? Milo smiled. Again trying to calm himself down.

He tipped his hat and drew his cane
and in this rhyme I said his name

Talking corpses? Milo covered his ears with his hands. Trying to block it all out. Despair was knocking on the door, dashed hopes lingered in the stuffy air and tribulation was at hand. No need to panic. This was just his compulsive behavour giving him a run for his money. Nothing more, nothing less. Take a deep breath and start over.

Abashed Milo stood, and couldn't for the life of him remember how to breath. He tried, but nothing. He hit his chest with a closed fist, trying to cough. Again, nothing. It was as if he was holding his breath, without the feeling of heaviness. Milo walked along the wall, grabing hold of the handles to the doors to where they put the dead bodies in the wall, trying not to fall as he was feeling weak. He stoped when he saw the number on one of the small metallic doors; 137. Something was very familiar with that one. He slowly backed away, afraid to open it. It felt as if he would open the door and find himself in there. It was horrifying.

The one who made it, didn't want it.
The one who bought it, didn't need it.
The one who used it, never saw it.

Enough with the chattering! Milo could see his reflection in the metal, his face looking both confused and annoyed. Blabbermouths... Again with the smile, this time distorted in the metal door. Nothing calming about it.

Okay. Milo turned around to face the bodies. They all layed as they were. Obviously there was a scientific answer for all of this. He was not losing his mind. He was somewhat odd and had a compulsive behaviour. Add to the mix a night of blackout and someone most likely slipping him a pill of some sort that would throw him off track. Considering this, Milo felt calm. The bodies were not talking to him, he was just taking a acid trip or what not. And the body on the far left sure as hell wasn't looking at him. All the voices, door number 137 and all the weird feelings he'd been having since he woke up was just his mind playing tricks on him. A LSD vacation. He was probably the first person to be clearly grateful he was on drugs. Even wishing for it.

Milo smiled once again. This time a normal smile, like everything was peachy keany, hunky dory. He leaned his back against the wall and took out the Coca-Cola from the bag. With a flick of his finger, he opened the can and drank from it. Immediately, Milo threw up on the floor, between two stretchers.

However, if someone has anything in mind, that they want/need the Prince to participate in (in a location other than his office) do feel free to PM me and let me know, and I'm sure we can make it work. )))

Gemma and Mina : The Haven

Glad that Mina's initial offer still stood, Gemma said, "Oh, thank you, would you like me to contact Bo in advance? I was thinking of coming the day after tomorrow, if that is not a problem."

Gemma looked around the club and noticed it was fuller than it was the last time she looked. Several interesting people where around the club now, dancing, sitting, and drinking. One of Gemma's favorite pastimes was people-watching; one could learn so much about the world by studying the people on it. She watched as a dark-haired woman danced with a man who was fast-approaching drunkiness.

Mina leaned forward to whisper in her small ear, “Have you fed yet? When Valerian returns he may have a doll handy if that is a concern to you?”

"No worries, I fed earlier and the Hunger is appeased for now," she whispered back into Mina's ear, watching the club as she whispered. She was silently stunned at how powerful Mina's small whisper was. She radiated power.

Gemma saw Mina stare over at a very young looking dark-haired man, welcome in her eyes, nodding at the man. Gemma risked a quick glance at the man, taking in his appearance. He looked younger than her, but somehow she knew he was not, and he was not very large.

"He looks very complex to me," Gemma said, making an idle observation to Mina, "A colleague of yours?" She was very interested by this stranger.

Zillah & Bee - The Haven

((OCC thanks Atropa. I'll let you know if I have any ideas involving the Prince. Perhaps Mina could be summoned to discuss Ada? Seems a shame for him not to be involved more. :D))

"Not what you said to do. You look more dangerous. Like you need more of a thrill job. It besides the point. You dont need to tell." Bee replied.

A deep laugh rumbled through Zillah’s chest hollowly vibrating in his throat. “Dangerous, yeah. Who ever said Business and Finance weren’t?” One eyebrow raised in question as he gave a shrug. “Lets just say, I look after a few things around town. I do what ever is needed to take care of things.”

“I have often enough. I am quite fond of this place. I have meet a few interesting people here. As you said it is the atmosphere of how this place feels. I know the feeling all so well." Bee gave a laugh which sounded faked. She turned to look at him looked him in his eyes. " So tell me, what has you riled up inside."

With this Zillah’s eyes narrowed slightly, if she was a regular she might know who Carmilla was. Might jnow where he could track her down? Yet he dare not speak her name, in case the memory dissipated leaving him with only the shattered remains. He could not tell her about Carmillla, women were known to be spiteful against each other. And he himself could not grasp what was going on in his head, how could another?

“Life, women , the usual” He said dismissively, ripping her gaze from hers, and glancing around the room. “The same stresses that everyone of us has.”
The powerful hold of her gaze making him jumpy. There was something about her, she didn’t seem the normal fragile girl who ended on his arm looking for a rich husband. But he was unwilling to open up to a stranger, holding his cards close to his chest like a poker player.

“A gorgeous girl like you, must have a boyfriend or husband.” He asked smoothly changing the topic back onto Bee.

((OCC please don’t tell him. Not ready for him to discover anything yet :D))

Bee and Zillah

((ooc: I wasnt going to tell him anything about vampires or carmilla. She wouldnt tell Zillah anything unless he was turned and i figured he wasnt going to become one for a while if he did. PLus Bee already is scared of Prince at the moment. I dont want to add to that.lol. ))

Bee nearly jumped at the laugh. She wasnt exspecting it. She just figured he would drop it.

"Ah, So I see my instincts were right." She knew there were a few people out there whjo did things like that, she should have know Zillah would have been one of them.

“Life, women , the usual” He said dismissively, ripping her gaze from hers, and glancing around the room. “The same stresses that everyone of us has.”

His eyes tore away from hers. She knew that he was uncomfortable, but that is what she is best at. She just continued to look at him. He was an edge and and he was drunk, a bad mix.

" I see." Bee's eyes danced with amusment. She knew it was Carmilla who had him in a bunch. She couldnt blame him. She was an interesting girl. A beautiful women. A undead women whom he doesnt have a chance with. She opted not to tell him about her. He would find out soon enough on his own. He probably would never see her again. It isnt all the time that Seath comes here. If knew anything about her conversastion, he probably wont be back for a while. Of course she kows nothing about them, but she does know sires and be very protective. Exspecially when they wanted the one they sired. Which she knew from the way Carmilla looked, that Seath wanted Carmilla all to himself. And has had her for hundreds of years.

"Many people have that problem. Not one of the things that stresses me, but I can see where it can be frusterating. I have met quite a few with problems with their life."
Problems with their oh so precious life that is extremly short lived. They should be happy with their short lived lives. It buggs her that human can be so self absorbed to take their own lives. Most only live to be 80. That is too long to live for humans?

“A gorgeous girl like you, must have a boyfriend or husband.” Zillah asked

He wanted to get off the topic of him and she didtn want to talk about her. She found it amusing. They both had something to hide.
" Weddings dont interest me neither do boyfriends for that matter. I have dated a few and it was short lived. "
She chuckled it out and grinned in the reminances. They were very short lived. When ever they found out what she was they screamed and was shouting. They were short lived.

" I will never be able to marry and have children. My plans just dont fit in it. Plus I dont think any man could intertain be for that long. Eternity to be married is a long time to be with someone. It ends at death which should make everyone happy. They yall go to haven and be happily married agian, right? Well it is not in my plans. As I said. It would be hard for a man to entertain me for that long. It is a damn near impossible thing."

She was grinning. He would never know what it is like to know you are going to live till the end of time. A vampire being married is out of the question. If a vampire asks her to marry him it would be a day the all vampires turn human.
She stared at the flute of champayune Zillah had ordered earlier for her. She ran her finger around the top wishing she could drink it just one more time.Bee was rememebering the man she was engaged to before her sire took her. She was happy then. SHe wanted to marry him and bear his children. She loved him. Then she was taken away. She watched him for years. She watched his tears from her dissapeariance. She watched him marry and have children. She wanted to make him hers for eternatiy at that time. Bee knew she couldnt do that. She loved him to much to give him the curse that was layed on her. She wept when he married to someone else. She wept when he died too.
She remembered one night, one of his sons exscaped out a window. She knew the other vampires were out and waiting for some food. She jumped down out of a tree and stoppped him. He was only 8. She couldnt sand to have a vampire suck the blood out of the man she loves child. Even though he wasnt hers. His name was Willam. She took him back to his room and put him into his bed. She sang the song her mother sang to her as a child and put him to sleep. Bee nearly cried watching him sleep. She wanted him to be hers. She heard footsteps by the door and knew someone had heard her. She swong out the window just as the door opened. It was her beloved. She saw him look around frantically. He had tears in his eyes. He was shaking his sion and asking who was singing. Willam told him and it looked as the blood drained from his face and the tears fell. Bee knew that he still loved her. He had came out side and looked for her. But she never let him find her. He could never see her again. It was the last time she had ever intervened with a human like that again. It was the last man she ever loved.

"Would you like another?" the bartender asked her.
It jerked her back to her senses. She looked at him and shook her head. How long was she in her remanses. She looked at Zillah and could tell for to long. He could see pain in her.

"But as I said. It could never be with me. it isnt in the plans I have." She forced a smile. " What about you? No wife or girlfriend?"

((ooc: Ok it is a bit long, but I figured yall would like a look into her past. So srry. It is a lot to read.))

Mina & Emma

Glad that Mina's initial offer still stood, Gemma said, "Oh, thank you, would you like me to contact Bo in advance? I was thinking of coming the day after tomorrow, if that is not a problem."

“That sounds fine. Bo can be contacted at the Museum, leave a message for him there. I will try and be present myself at some point. “ Mina responded, keeping her own commitment very vague. She did not wish for Gemma to be disappointed if she herself was not able to be present. Still she would like the opportunity to spend further time with the young Tremere she could prove a useful alliance and her company was remarkably pleasant.

"No worries, I fed earlier and the Hunger is appeased for now," she whispered back into Mina's ear.

Mina nodded, so she had been wise enough to feed before coming into an Elysium. It was always a good precaution to take. Mina herself had sampled a blood doll before embarking on the Haven’s charms.

"He looks very complex to me," Gemma said, , "A colleague of yours?"

Mina noticed the interest on Gemma’s face and herself glanced again at him. “I have no doubt being an Elder Tremere, that Mihael is most complex. And yes we know each other.” Her tone was explanatory with no hint of like or dislike for him.

((OOC I believe some vamps do feed on animals, to others it is a dispicable act, I think it makes the Ventrue ill. For a Tremere my understanding is it depends on the individual, Mina would find it disgraceful unless in a time of great need. Hopefully a host can clear it up further if I've got it wrong!

Valerian and Ada & eventually Michael

(((ooc: Penny - Sorry, but as it's been alot more than 24 hours, and you've been on a few times and thus had the chance to reply, I'm gonna go ahead with Valerian, as I really want things moving along. But, as I'm not going to put words into Ada's mouth, I'll just have him act on what she's said so far.)))

When Ada said nothing - maybe out of surprise that he was still ironfisted on the matter, when he was known for usually being sweet and easy-going - Valerian gave a deep, impatient sigh. If she was not going to give him and honest apology but instead just try to weasel her way back into his club, he had no time for her. He had far better things to do.

"I may be naive at times", he said. "But that does not mean I'm deaf, dumb and blind. It seems obvious to me that you're apologizing merely because you know it's expected of you, and not because you think you should. Until you're willing to face this situation with the humility of someone who truely believes they were in the wrong to treat a human as a nuisance and a rag doll, and to have the audacity to disrespect me and curse at me in my own home, consider yourself persona non grata."

With that, he motioned for the employee next to her to show her out, by force if needed, and he himself turned to head back into the club. After a few steps however, he stopped and turned back to look at Ada, adding with a sweet but venomously sarcastic voice;

"And the girl will be just fine, thank you for asking."

Then he turned again, and continued on his way back to the bar. Having focused on Ada, he'd lost sight of the young pianist, and figured he'd return to Mina and Gemma until he spotted her again.
However, just as he once again started approaching the two alluring Tremere women, his attention drifted to another young being of great beauty that had just caught his eye. Much to his satisfaction, he soon realized that it was indeed the young Miss Hidenburg; the woman to whom he'd wished to speak ever since last night.
He passed by Mina and Gemma, giving them a soft, humorous smile and a look that said "A host's work is never done", and then slid into the empty spot next to Michael.

"Ah, Miss Hindenburg", he purred. "It's a pleasure seeing you here again, although it saddens me to know you won't be playing tonight. Especially since I was so rudely robbed of the chance to see you perform last night."

The Prince was not in a good mood. Within just a few hours, his Primogen council had gone from being satisfactory, to being a minor chaos. Not only did the fairly new Brujah Primogen, Cade, have an authority/attitude problem, but it turned out the brand new Nosferatu Primogen, Esther, had not really opted for the position as clan Primogen. How on earth could the entire L.A. Nosferatu clan have missed that? It was them that had brought up her name in the first place. How could they have missed that it was not a position she herself considered? The Nosferatu had never made themselves known to be fools, and yet "fools" was the only word that came to mind right now.
And on top of it all, it had turned out that the reason why the Gangrel Primogen hadn't attended last night's council meeting, was because he'd been wiped out, killed, murdered.
That was the urgent matter that had sent Tobias bursting through the doors. When Damian had asked his business, he'd had the audacity to throw down the leather pouch he was carrying onto the Prince's beautiful - and very expensive - solid mahogany desk, spilling the alleged ash of the now previous Gangrel Primogen onto it's smooth surface and the paperwork on it.
Damian had been far from thrilled, but he'd maintained his composure and allowed the Gangrel to speak. Tobias had told him, and Esther, that when the Gangrel Elders had not heard from their Primogen for about a week, they had sent Tobias to investigate. He'd payed a visit to the most frequented home of the Primogen, and upon doing so had found his ash, the house turned upside down, and a symbol drawn in blood on one of the walls.
Now he claimed the position of clan Primogen for the Gangrel, and demanded the Prince let him investigate the matter further.
Although Damian had seen no reason to object, he was annoyed, to say the least. He'd had no problem with the previous Gangrel Primogen, but Tobias, he knew far too little about to dare guess wether or not he would be a Primogen to Damian's liking. And further more, someone killing vampires, and Primogen at that, was something to worry about.
Hopefully Tobias would prove useful, and find out what was going on. And hopefully both him and Esther would respect the Prince's wishes to keep everything on the down low, until further notice.

But, as if all this wasn't enough to give him a headache, he'd also recieved reports that there had been an incident at The Haven, involving one of his own, Beyonca, and a Tremere named Ada. Apparently, there had been a display of vampiric powers - intentional or unintentional, he didn't know, but he assumed it would be the latter - and a human had ended up getting hurt.
Why, oh why couldn't some people just think before acting? Now he had yet another mess to take care of.

As Beyonca was one of his own clan, he simply asked his secretary to get in touch with her over the phone. With the comfort of novelties such cell phones, why not use them?
Ada, however, was one of Mina's subjects, and as he would rather deal with her than with the reportedly insolent Ada, he sent a messanger to find her. While it would've been so much easier to just call her as well, sending a young Ventrue to deliver the message face to face was still the most courteous way to go about summoning a Primogen.

(((innoscent - Whenever you feel like it, you can RP Damian's secretary calling up Bee, and telling her the Prince wishes to see her asap. She'll be polite and friendly, as Bee is a Ventrue like herself.

veldagia - As the young Ventrue (male) sent to fetch Mina is an NPC, feel free to RP him approaching Mina. He'll be very polite, correct and respectful, but hardly friendly. *s*)))

(((ooc 2: Yeah, vampires can feed on animals as well, but much like veldagia said, the Ventrue will most likely vomit. Same goes for the Ventrue feeding on bums and street walkers and other people on society's bottom. *s*
However, feeding on animals when not in deep and dire need of blood, is looked down on in "polite vampire society". *s*)))

(((ooc: That's correct. However, there are some that do kill humans, but it's frowned upon, as each kill takes away a little more of their humanity and makes them more prone to give in to the Beast.
Also, I edited my RP above to include the Prince.)))

Ada gave the guard a warning hiss, yanking her arm away and turned to follow Valerian. She quickly scanned the crowd catching sight of him talking to the pianist from the evening before. "..... robbed of the chance to see you perform last night." he was saying as she stalked up to him. "Valerian." Ada said, her face wavering only slightly with anger as she spoke. " I was sincere in my apology. whether or not you believe me is your business, but I would appreciate if you would not lecture me on the importance of humility and honesty when I meant every word I said." She crossed her arms, speaking more quietly now. " I swear I never meant to hurt that girl. I know I still have to speak to Mina and I know that I will most likely be punished, but do not treat me like an insolent child because you don't believe me." With that she turned slowly to leave.

OOC: . I'm sorry I wasn't able to RP earlier, I was gone all day yesterday and I've been pretty busy so I only get a few minutes to check whats going on.

Valerian, Michael & Ada

No sooner had Valerian greeted the talented pianist, than he felt the presence of another Kindred close by, and heard a voice behind him.

"Valerian."

The young Toreador's eyes closed briefly as he struggled to control the rage that flared within. Ada. Again she was opposing him, almost in the very spot where she had done it yesterday.
Jaws tightly clenched he turned his head and glared at her.

"I was sincere in my apology", she said. "Whether or not you believe me is your business, but I would appreciate if you would not lecture me on the importance of humility and honesty when I meant every word I said."

At that, Valerian scowled. She would appreciate not to be lectured? After her behaviour, the only thing she should expect to appreciate was the fact that he had not made a public display of turning her away over by the entrance, by having his employees drag her outside for everyone to see. And as for lecturing her about humility and honesty? She had shown none of it in a situation that very much called for it. She hadn't even tried.

"I swear I never meant to hurt that girl", she continued, lowering her voice so that for the first time in the past few days, it rang with a little bit of regret. "I know I still have to speak to Mina and I know that I will most likely be punished, but do not treat me like an insolent child because you don't believe me."

Having said that, she turned and left Valerian wincing slightly over her last sentence. It hadn't been the wisest thing to say infront of another mortal. He could only hope Michael hadn't heard it, as she would surely wonder about the part about Ada being punished. It would sound most odd to her.
Still, he just couldn't bring himself to let Ada leave thinking she had the right to make demands.

"I'll stop treating you like an insolent child when you stop acting like one", he snapped just as she turned to head for the exit. "And I'll refrain from lecturing you about honesty and humility when you show me they are qualities that you actually possess. Currently, I only see an appalling lack of them, along with an utter lack of respect. I've told you not once, but twice that you are not welcome here, and both times you've ignored it. You haven't shown me a shred of anything that would suggest that you're being sincere, other than you claiming that you are. And after your behaviour last night, your word alone simply isn't good enough."

He glanced over at Michael, knowing he probably wasn't making things seem less odd to her, but if Mihael was right, she was already suspicious of both Valerian and Ada.
He then looked back at Ada, and surprisingly, his features softened ever so slightly.

"However", he said, deciding to give her a chance after all, as he knew he hadn't made it easy for her to swallow her pride. "Should you choose to abide by my wish and leave, now, I'll take that as a sign that you do possess a certain amount of respect and humility after all, but that it's simply not in your nature to show it.

Quirking a brow, he shot her a look that let her know that if she did indeed wish to set things right, this was her big chance.
Her big chance, and her last.
And in order to make it even a little bit more easy for her to leave, he turned back to Michael so that Ada wouldn't feel like she was suffering some kind of indignity by leaving with him watching her the entire time to make sure that she did in fact exit The Haven.

"I'm sorry about that", he said, offering Michael an apologetic smile for the interruption. "Some customers simply don't seem to understand that this place is not for brawling."

(((ooc: Sorry Penny, I really want him to lift the ban, but he simply won't as long as he feels she's disrespecting him and his rules. *s*)))

"Should you choose to abide by my wish and leave, now, I'll take that as a sign that you do possess a certain amount of respect and humility after all, but that it's simply not in your nature to show it.

Ada swallowed the multitude of unpleasant replies that fought to escape her lips. With a somewhat forced nod she turned and headed for the doors; leaving Valerian to return to his conversation with the pianist She kept her posture stiff as she pushed her way through the crowd, reluctant to show the strong blow to her pride at being dismissed. Oh well, she still had to face Mina and, most likely, The Prince. Any unnecessarely hostile conversation was probably best avoided.

OOC: Sorry it's so short, I'm kinda out of ideas for right now....

AtropaMandragora 14th Oct 2007 1:02 AM

(((ooc: Well, like I said, I would really like for Valerian to lift the ban, but he simply won't when she's acting like she has a reason to be angry with him and not the other way around, and as long she doesn't come across as actually being sorry. He's a Toreador, he has a sensitive nature. *lol* Doing as he asked was a good move though, so I'm figuring that once Mina has talked to Ada, and then to Valerian, Valerian will lift the ban, if nothing else than at least due to his respect for Mina.)))

Michael Hidenburg

The bartender, with his scruffy brows and beady ink-colored eyes, was not the most cheerful man Michael had ever come across. When she ordered a vintage Blanc de Blancs Champagne in her soft accent, the man cast a glance fashioned of distaste before lightly setting the drink before her, murmuring something about snooty Frenchmen as he did so. When he turned about to grab his dusting rag, Michael threw in his direction a rude hand gesture, and in that same moment a sultry, smooth voice wafted into her ears.

The voice purred, soft and beautiful as the petals of a rose, "Ah, Miss Hindenburg. It's a pleasure seeing you here again, although it saddens me to know you won't be playing tonight,” Michael spun her head about, blinking curiously at the figure who addressed her, and to her pleasant surprise she found the man to be Valerian…one of the several eccentricities of the evening prior, “Especially since I was so rudely robbed of the chance to see you perform last night."

A slow, gracious smile bequeathed Michael’s soft face, one of which shone of appreciation and perhaps victory. Finally, finally, things seemed to be going in a fine order for her. Even better came the appearance of the woman who started the entire dilemma, and she seemed incessant about getting herself back in his good graces--even if it meant sacrificing her same rights. As the maiden, who looked very much like a forest nymph derived from some ancient fairytale, drew closer a giddy, clumsy grin packed onto Michael’s face, and she almost couldn’t stem the urge to clap her hands together with enthusiasm.
Perhaps her luck was changing!

“I swear I never meant to hurt that girl,” the young woman spoke, her voice burbling with the subtle hints of shamefacedness. Michael attempted to look as though she was entirely consumed with her champagne, though her ears prickled with each word slipping past that beauty’s petal lips. "I know I still have to speak to Mina and I know that I will most likely be punished, but do not treat me like an insolent child because you don't believe me."

To hide the vast grin pinching her cheeks, Michael had to swiftly place the rim of her glass to her lips and take a deep gulp of the warm liquid. While her statements could, perhaps, be explained at a stretch…Michael’s great feeling of hope was burbling over the walls of her psyche and pooling warm and pleasant over every inch of her body.

As the young woman turned to leave, Valerian issued biting words of his own as a retort, "I'll stop treating you like an insolent child when you stop acting like one. And I'll refrain from lecturing you about honesty and humility when you show me they are qualities that you actually possess.

Michael grimaced at the cool words billowing, beautiful and deadly against the open air, and she could see his somewhat concerned gaze flickering over in her direction, as though seeking some covert fact from her. Though, this fleeting look did not stay with her for long, and a new, much softer look placed gentle paws across his faultlessness, “However. Should you choose to abide by my wish and leave, now, I'll take that as a sign that you do possess a certain amount of respect and humility after all, but that it's simply not in your nature to show it.”

At this, the curious host affixed his attention to the pianist, who offered a warm smile to the man who might have just given her half the information she’d sought out for years on a silver platter.

With a vaguely sheepish smile, Valerian addressed her, "I'm sorry about that. Some customers simply don't seem to understand that this place is not for brawling."

“Oh, Monsieur Valerian, fret not over such trivialities,” she grinned, the champagne kneading her fingers through Michael’s every sense, so that she felt so entirely, flagrantly jovial. “In this day and age, hoodlums know no bounds. Still I would not expect such actions from a madam so beautiful and slight as she. Though, one can never judge a book by its cover, no?”
A pristine, tinkling laughter trickled from her belly, and floated with a delicate twirl into the air.
“I believe I might have seen her in action, to be honest,” she gestured with a sweeping motion to the silent stage, and she offered a liquid grin that might have been taunting could they only sense the emotions riveting through her veins, “She knocked a drunken fool clear into the fountain. Such strength, supernatural--one might say.”

She cocked a brow for the vaguest of seconds, before her expression transitioned into a look bordering disappointment, “But--you missed my performance? What a shame. I suppose I cannot quest for your critique then. Though, I have spoken about an accompaniment with a Miss Vevila Roemer. If it would be in your best interest, I would love to have the chance to play here again.”
She bestowed upon him a gracious smile wrought with an innocence she no longer possessed, before lightly taking into her hand the champagne glass once more.

Gemma and Mina : The Haven

“That sounds fine. Bo can be contacted at the Museum, leave a message for him there. I will try and be present myself at some point. “ Mina responded, keeping her own commitment very vague.

"I will be sure to do that," Gemma replied, eyes flashing as she glanced at the dark-haired man once more.

Mina informed her that this man was another Elder Tremere, how intriguing this little tidbit of information was. Gemma was surprised at how many Tremere frequented The Haven. One thing she did learn from Isabel is that most Tremere were very intellectual and mysterious, Gemma did not expect many to come to clubs. However, she realized that going to social gatherings was more than necessary for forging social connections that would be very valuable later in life.

Gemma silently mused what it would be like to be an Elder, and well respected within the community when Valerian smiled and walked right past Mina and herself to go sit by another woman. She could not help but feel slightly jealous as she saw him scoot close to the woman; a few seconds later Ada glided by the bar as well.

She just cannot take a hint, Gemma thought to herself, almost worried for what Valerian would say to Ada. The was one of Gemma's biggest flaws, she was too empathetic, often overcome by the strong emotions of others; it almost always worked against her, sometimes driving her over the edge.

"I really cannot wait to continue learning. Knowledge is probably one of the most important things to me, and I am so grateful for this opportunity you have presented to me. After Isabel disappeared, I was so lost. I heard sire-less vampires were generally looked down upon in the Camarilla, and I was not sure if that applied to one who had barely begun their training," Gemma said, keeping her voice very genuine, and very very quiet.

Gemma quietly remembered waiting in the small cafe for Isabel to show up. That night they were supposed to have a very important talk which Gemma was eagerly awaiting. Her sire never arrived to the cafe, and Gemma had not seen her since. . . .

Sarah Chamberlain ~ Dorm to Haven

Sarah sat in the nearly abandoned library, hunched over a textbook and nearly half asleep. She was having such a hard time studying. The test was stil a few days from now. She could study later. Sarah took a sip of her coffee, cringing because it had turned cold. She put the book on her lavender tote, and walked out the door. She nodded to the librarian (who was also half asleep) thanking her for keeping it open late.
Olivia had said something about a party in the dorm behind theirs. But she wasn't in the mood for a college party. About 15 minutes later, she arrived at her dorm, and went up the usual 2 flights of stairs. Turns out Olivia was asleep in her bed. Well. She had the night by herself. Maybe she would check out that club she went to last night. That man seemed verrrrry suspicious. Sarah set down her bag, went back down the two flights of stairs and into her car, and drove back to The Haven.

((Sarah is approacable in the club. And JSYK, I wouldn't mind somebody being her domitor or sire. but later on. not right now. I'd like to enjoy her humanity for a little bit))

Octavien and Michael

Having turned his attention back to Michael, Valerian did not see Ada leave, but he did sense that her presence faded, until he could feel it no more.
He was relieved. The last thing he wanted was for the young woman before him to hear any more icey words and strange details. She seemed to have heard quite enough already.
Yet the look on her face was not that of confusion, but instead she was simply smiling, despite clearly having heard the majority, at least, of what had been said between himself and Ada.
It made him wonder how much she knew exactly. For he was now certain that Mihael had been right; she knew something. And the fact that she acted as though she didn't, made an alarm bell go off in the back of his mind.
Caution...

"Oh, Monsieur Valerian, fret not over such trivialities", she said, showing off a set of perfect pearly whites as she smiled. "In this day and age, hoodlums know no bounds. Still I would not expect such actions from a madam so beautiful and slight as she. Though, one can never judge a book by its cover, no?"

A small, delicate laughter slipped from her lips, and Valerian's eyebrows drifted slightly upwards. Such strange words, coming from a human of her tender age. For she was a mortal, there was no doubt about that. The beating of her heart pounded in his head, allowing him to briefly imagine it was his own.

"I believe I might have seen her in action, to be honest", the young woman added, motioning towards the stage. "She knocked a drunken fool clear into the fountain. Such strength, supernatural--one might say."

Ah. There it was. The bait, and the dangerous hook. She was testing him, quite possibly in hopes of getting him to offer up more of what she wanted to know. Or simply just to toy with him.
But Valerian would not bite. Yet. There was too much of something predatory hiding in that seemingly warm smile of hers, for him to feel confident in giving her what she was after. For all he knew, she could be a hunter.

"But--", she said, changing the subject and allowing a fleeting shadow of disappointment to dart across her lovely features. "You missed my performance? What a shame. I suppose I cannot quest for your critique then. Though, I have spoken about an accompaniment with a Miss Vevila Roemer. If it would be in your best interest, I would love to have the chance to play here again."

The angelic smile on her lips drew one from Valerian's as well, though his was more of an amused one. Was she trying to set him up? If he didn't comment on her remark about Ada's "supernatural" strength, it would seem like the supernatural was nothing out of the ordinary for him and thus not worth mentioning. Or it would seem like he was avoiding the subject, which he would have no reason to do if there was indeed no truth to what Michael had said.
But, no doubt was she hoping that if he did choose comment, he would either slip up and say something that he shouldn't, or he'd simply admit that her observation had been correct.
Valerian himself, however, had other plans.

"Supernatural?" he said, the amusement in his smile staining his voice, along with a few ounces of disbelief.

He shook his head, as if dismissing the idea as the product of yet another vivid imagination; a reaction mimicing that of a human completely unaware of the nocturnal beings dwelling within these walls.

"Ah yes, Vevila", he then said, and his face lit up with a warm smile at the mention of her name. "She has a voice like no other, that one. Such passion, such beckoning of a man's soul. The Sirens of ancient Greece would pale in comparison."

His gaze, having been momentarily drifting and dreamy, focused on Michael once more, and his smile widened as the meaning of what she had just said registered in his mind. Her and Vevila on stage, performing together? What a wonderful idea! Genius even.
Although having Michael around would be something of a double edged sword; she'd be allowed the opportunity to observe even more, but at the same time, it would allow Valerian and his fellow Kindred to not only keep an eye on her, but also keep up appearances and quite possibly make her falter in her beliefs.
Either way, the prospect of seeing his favorite singer perform with the very talented Michael was too good to pass up, as was the chance of finally getting to see Michael perform solo.

"I would be most delighted, and honored to have you play here again, Miss Hindenburg. And I think you and Vevila will make a most fascinating duo."

He gave a smile that would melt the coldest of hearts. The idea had clearly excited him, and he was already envisioning how well Michael's delicate tunes would go with Vevila's rich, sensuous voice. He even went as far as to thinking they would probably end up being bad for business, as people would be in such awe of the performance that they would need no alcohol to feel intoxicated.
He chuckled internally at the thought.
However, he soon turned serious, and a vague, worried crease appeared between his eyebrows.

"But please," he said, reaching for Michael's free hand as if to give it a gentle, pleading squeeze. "Do promise the performance with Vevila won't be your last at The Haven. I will never forgive myself if..."

He stopped suddenly as his fingers did not brush against warm skin, like he had expected, but instead the vaguely rugged surface of gauze. Looking down at the hand he had been reaching for, he quickly withdrew his own as though he was afraid the brief graze had hurt her.

"But...", he said, looking at her with puzzlement and, most of all, concern. "You've hurt your hand?"

(((ooc: Her hand IS still wrapped in gauze, right?)))

(((ooc2 : Isley - A blood doll doesn't necessarily know they're being fed upon. Most do, and yes, it exposes vampires, but it works much the same way as with ghouls; one has to be VERY careful when choosing them, and be prepared to get rid of them, should they turn out to pose a threat. But, as they're willing donors and enjoy the Kiss (and know they're dead if they let something slip), they usually won't say a word.
Then there's the occasional Kindred blood doll, such as Valerian, who for obvious reasons won't pose a threat. *s* They are, however, very rare. Most vampires enjoy drinking blood, not giving it up. )))

Aella Hithe Application - Human

Name: Aella Hithe
Willingness to be embraced (if so, by what clan) or a ghoul: Very willing. I am also willing to have her be a ghoul. Any clan will do fine, I picture her as a Ventrue, but any is fine. Nosferatu might even be a neat change-up.
Occupation: Author / Freelance Journalist and Actress
Aella was born into a wealthy family in Illinois; her father was lawyer and her mother owned a restaurant. Aella had a twin sister and two brothers growing up. One of her brothers was sadly born with a heart defect and died when he was four and Aella was thirteen.

After her brothers death, Aella blamed her mother and father for her brother's heart defect, saying they were too old to have had a baby. She even stopped talking to her twin sister. During High School, Aella surprisingly kept her grades very high, but she still barely talked to her parents, as she planned her move to California, where she wanted to attain fame and become an actress.

The only family member Aella ever really opened up to was her Grandma Adelaide. She loved her grandma so much, and her heart was broken when she died when Aella was seventeen. Adelaide left Aella a large sum of money, which she put away in a savings account for her future. The death of her grandmother put even more tension between Aella and her family.

After high school, Aella moved to California, never speaking to her family again. She soon realized how hard it was to get a good job as an actress, so she relied on her writing skills to pay her rent as she went to college on her inherritance from Grandma Adelaide. She has many published poems and articles and is currently working on a young adult novel about a love triangle between two vampires and a witch.

Zillah & Bee - The Haven

" I see." Bee's eyes danced with amusment. "Many people have that problem. Not one of the things that stresses me, but I can see where it can be frusterating. I have met quite a few with problems with their life."

“Anyone that thinks life’s perfect is just deluding themselves.” Zillah muttered taking another swig of the JDs and refilling the glass. His eyes stirring as the alcohol wore his nerves down exposing their raw vitality.

“Weddings dont interest me neither do boyfriends for that matter. I have dated a few and it was short lived. " She chuckled it out and grinned in the reminances.

Zillah gave a weary smile as Bee stared off as though lost in thought. Yes he knew the type she portrayed, the ones who just wanted to be shown a good time for a night or two. Changed boyfriends like handbags, a different one for each occasion. Girls who were easy: easy to pick up, easy to please and easy to dump. Yet there was a bitter ring to her words, as though acting that way was a defence. A way not to care, to not hurt any more.

Zillah glanced away from Bee his eyes straying towards the bar. This club was filled with beautiful women as if it emitted a magnetic field that drew them all to its core. His eyes settled to meet the stormy grey gaze of Mina’s beautiful companion. A cheeky grin spread over his face and one long set of silken lashs descended over his eye into a not so discrete wink.

"But as I said. It could never be with me. it isnt in the plans I have." Bee forced a smile. " What about you? No wife or girlfriend?"

“No, neither at the moment women come and go y’know.” Zillah smiled his attention drawn back to Bee. “I almost married once.” He pulled a face at the memory, it hadn’t even appealed at the time. “I have a child, a little boy. Children are our true eternity don’t you think? Everything we do is forgotten, everything we create destroyed but they live on passing that essence of us to their kids.” He stared sullenly into his glass, remembering the last time he’d seen him, just starting to toddle across the room and how that b*tch had sworn he’d never hold him again. One day he would, he was just biding time, no-one, nothing could stop him.

Bee and the Princes office

“No, neither at the moment women come and go y’know.” Zillah smiled his attention drawn back to Bee. “I almost married once.” He pulled a face at the memory, it hadn’t even appealed at the time. “I have a child, a little boy. Children are our true eternity don’t you think? Everything we do is forgotten, everything we create destroyed but they live on passing that essence of us to their kids.”

Bees eyes swelled with tears when she heared him say that. She wouldnt know, never know how it would be to have children. She quickly turned her head so he wouldnt see.
"I wouldnt know how it feels to have children. I dont have any. It is good you think of your son that way. You should be with him instead of in a club with me." At that moment Bee wished she could down a bottle of whiskey. She felt a human emotion long forgotten and it was grief.
All of a sudden her phone rang. She picked it up and looked at the number and knew it was the Princes office number.
The tears had tried in her eyes. She turned to look at Zillah. It was the first time she felt like his eyes could burn a hole threw her.
"Would you hold on a minute. I must get this." She needed to get away from this human. He wasnt one to be toyed with. Without even meaning it he broke her down to almost tears with the talk of his child.
"Hello this is Beyinca."
"Beyonca this is the Princes secretry he asked me to inform you that you are needed in his office." She had a polite and pleasant voice.
"Uhhh ok. When?"
"He implied that it was impotant and needed to speak with you asap."
Bees face went blank. Her eyes bulged. The Prince knew.
"I will be right there."
"Alright, I will inform Prince."
Bee hung up the phone. She loooked at ZIllah. I am sorry but I must go. SOmething important has come up. I am sure we will be able to see eachother again. She rubbed her hand against his and left.

The nights air felt good to her skin. The air was thick with smoke and alcohol. She walked quickly to the Princes office. Her mind woundered back to Zillah. Never had she has such an indebth conversation with a human. SHe has never spilt that much emotion or shown that much emotion. Zillah was an intersting human. She wanted to spend more time to get to kow him. He was interesting. Not like many others. Most were extremly boring. You try to have a conversation with them and stupid stuff that makes no sense comes out. He spoke with knowledge. He was wise. Bee just needed to be contious around him.

She got to Princes office and noddied at the receptioist to ket her know she was there. She would know her. She saw her got to the Princes office and then come out again. Bee woundered what would happen. What would he say? SHe was nervous. SHe was surprrised he had called her on the phone. Usually he sent messangers. But it implied to be more casual with the ohone call. Maybe he was going to scold her insread of a severe punishment. Maybe just ask her what happened. She could only wait and see.

Mina & Emma

Valerian walked passed them both alone approaching some mortal woman. How easily he got distracted by the charms of each and everyone. Flittering between them like a moth drawn to every spark of a flame, the perfect host within his sanctuary.

But her musings were banished as Ada approached stalking behind Valerian with anger wavering slightly across her face. Mina’s eyes narrowed into two reptilian slits, she did not need to summon any Auspex to read the hostility displayed in Ada’s movement. Yet she held herself back a stiffness gracing her form, reminding herself not to interfere it was Valerian’s club so she would abide by his wishes.

She watched the exchange between them, her cold face unreadable the slited emerald eyes the only sign of infuriation. The disrespect of Valerian threatened the clan’s tightly balanced standing within the club and the Camarilla itself. A standing Mina had worked hard to achieve and was not going to allow to be shattered by the foolish acts of one woman. Ada’s conduct was not only seen as a mockery to the clan but as a most personal disrespect to herself.

Ada turned to leave obviously still unwelcome within the four walls. A low hiss resonated through Mina’s throat in an almost imperceptible warning. Her narrowed eyes burned through Ada’s back with ice cold fury. It was a look that would boil blood if she released the power of her anger. But the restraint of the Elysium protected Ada from Mina’s wrath. Her glare merely issuing a silent warning.

Mina took one step forward to follow Ada out but then restrained herself, in this mood her temper would work against her. Force her to act rashly with her punishment. She needed time to let the anger warm, to be contained and dissipated before she confronted her so she could give the woman a chance to speak her side of the harrowing situation. Her eyes snapped closed for a second as she willed the silence to drown her mind.

Turning back to Gemma Mina’s eyes once again radiated with a low glow of warmth. Gemma spoke to her very quite and genuine. "I really cannot wait to continue learning. Knowledge is probably one of the most important things to me, and I am so grateful for this opportunity you have presented to me. After Isabel disappeared, I was so lost. I heard sire-less vampires were generally looked down upon in the Camarilla, and I was not sure if that applied to one who had barely begun their training,"

Mina responded with a genuine smile, Gemma’s attitude was quite delightful. Respectful and willing with a desire to improve herself that fitted an apprentices role exceptionally. “My dear, if anyone would question your authenticity you have my permission to inform them that you are training within my household. Do not take that decision lightly for it brings its own cross of responsibility to bear.”

Kess twirled a strand of hair around his index finger in a decidedly feminine gesture as he stared across the street at the feeding grounds of the local LA nightlife that was The Haven. It was busy tonight, of course. It always was. Such a popular retreat, he thought with a predatory grin as he cast his gaze on two twenty-something boys traipsing their way inside. There's just so many people that it's just impossible to keep track of everyone. What a terrible, terrible shame.

Tracing his newest brand (and he really was overdue for another) he walked closer, sticking to the shadows. He loved to do his cliche, broody little 'child of the night' thing. Drove both girls and boys wild. Holding the door for a young couple, he almost cheered in delight when the lovely and much favored Ada walked out. The other evening they had spent together...well, he wouldn't forget that anytime soon and he spent a lot of interesting times with a lot of fascinating people.

"Ada, my dear," he said smartly, bowing with a flourish and noting her slightly unhappy expression. "Mmm, mmm, mmm...Rejected again? The pain must be overwhelming. Oh well, I am certain there are other places to grab a bite to eat this night."

(OOC: Sorry for the lack of posting...just haven't been feeling creative. But I missed my Kess so here we are.)

Mihael

Mahogany eyes smoothed over the creases of the room, lightly locking eyes with several creatures of the night, though he did not provide another greeting past that sordid glance. He refused to, with his antisocial ways, greet anyone he was not interested in--and it was most difficult to find someone with even one unique trait after having been with mortals for well over five hundred years. Still, when his gaze made contact with Mina, and he saw with his fiery gaze the invitational nod, he could not deflect it as he had done with the others. She was Primogen now, and he could no longer ignore good graces from her... With a somewhat begrudging look he cast a nod back, the echo of the expression stapled to his face told her that he would momentarily be with them.

His eyes watched carefully the young pianist, who was in the company of Valerian. He was unsure if Mina knew of the threat the young woman posed from Ada’s foul play, though, it would not be long before that same young woman strolled with such determination up to Valerian, resentment and blistered pride issued like beams from her eyes. What little color touched Mihael’s fair complexion, fled from the onslaught brought with the thought of what Ada might speak of in the presence of the already suspicious maiden, and his brow creased as he meticulously observed the words that the young woman’s lips formed, and he grew anxious for, he could not be sure, but he thought he had seen the word ‘punishment’ leak past her soft lips and penetrate the air with its serrated edge. The apprehension permeating Mihael’s seemed to reaffirm when he caught sight of Valerian’s somewhat frustrated expression, and the occasional glances he sent to the human…who was…listening intently…

He frowned, observing with silence as the scene drew to a close and Mihael’s great distaste blossomed like a rose over his entire body. Mahogany drifted, and saw that emerald did frown upon the sight through narrowed slits and biting tongue, and he saw Mina’s internal struggle as she made to move after Ada, only to stop herself.
Mihael shook his head, rammed his fists deep into his pockets so that he slouched over ever so slightly. His gait was quick, precise and smooth, and as he moved towards Mina his eyes shifted every so slightly, so as to ascertain no suspicious glances were being cast in his direction.

“Mina.” Mihael offered whilst politely inclining his head, and straightening his posture a bit, as though a childish need to look a bit more grown up had claimed him. “I presume that Valerian has told you of the unfortunate events that occurred yesterday evening?”
His eyes traced the path that Ada had taken out of The Haven’s doors, and he frowned deeply in the direction of that trail, “She has many foul marks above her head at the moment. Disrespecting her Elders, mocking Valerian…and having the audacity to speak carelessly before a kine, who already had looked upon a scene most bizarre yesterday…” As his gaze fell back upon Mina, he gave a quirk of the head and blinked, “It’s a delicate situation, Mina. In that mortal’s eyes sits a suspicion most prominent, and a silent knowing…which bodes quite ill.”
As he withdrew his hands from his pockets, and laced them together just so, he caught a stray figure in the corner of his eye, and he turn to look upon the fair maiden who graced them with her presence. For a moment a startled look overturned his grim features, before his brow nuzzled into the bridge of his nose.

“And…who might this be?” he inquired, still looking with the utmost confusion upon the girl. A heartbeat, he could not sense one leaking from the girl, and he could merely frown as he observed her. Curious that he had never seen the young maiden about the town.

"Ada, my dear," he said smartly, bowing with a flourish and noting her slightly unhappy expression. "Mmm, mmm, mmm...Rejected again? The pain must be overwhelming. Oh well, I am certain there are other places to grab a bite to eat this night."

Ada gave a bark of laughter. "Somehow I think I've lost my appetite." She grumbled resentfully, casting a glance over her shoulder into the warm glow and intoxicating beat of the Haven. The smell of alcohol, sweat and human blood wafted out to her, making her mouth water and turning all thoughts of punishment and The Prince into ghosts of memory. She turned to Kess, narrowing her eyes slightly as she breathed in the delicious smells. "Then again, a meal might do me good. Where might one go for a decent meal this glorious night?" she asked him, sashaying closer and cocking her head curiously to the side.

Damian & Beyonca - penthouse office in "the V"

Damian was pleased to discover that he did not have to wait long for one of the summoned parties to arrive. Within the hour of having told his secretary to call up Beyonca, she entered his office to tell him that Beyonca was waiting in the foyer.
Good. Getting here so quickly was a sign of respect, good will and good manners, and that was definately something that would work in Beyonca's favor.

"Thank you", he told his secretary, and then gave her a dismissive wave. "I'll let you know when I'm ready for her."

"Yes, Sir", said the young woman and left the room, closing the heavy doors carefully behind her as she did.

Damian turned his attention back to the paperwork infront of him in order to finish looking over the contract he'd been reading when his secretary had knocked on the doors. It wasn't really a pressing matter, but the Prince was a meticulous man, and preferred to finish up what he was currently doing before taking on the next thing. Being the Prince of Los Angeles, circumstances rarely allowed him to do it, as there always seemed to be at least a dozen matters that required his immediate attention, so when he got a chance to do things the way he preferred, he took it.

About ten minutes later he had finished reading the contract and adding comments here and there in the margin regarding details he wanted changed. He put the contract back into the leather folder on the desk and closed it, before pressing the button on the intercom.

"I will see her now. Send her in."

"Yes, Sir" came the secretary's voice.

With that, Damian leaned back in his luxurious high back office chair made of chrome and black leather, and waited for Beyonca to make her entrance.

Bee and the Prince

Beyonca waited for what seeme like hours. She glanced down down at her phone and it had only been ten minutes. The whole time the conversaton had went threw her mind. What he would say to her and what he would do. She was surprised to find that no one else was there. Maybe he wasnted to talk to her alone. Only he knows.

She heard the intercome with the Princes voice saying he will see her now. The secretry nodded her way. Bee got up and wiped her sweaty palms on her skirt. She was glas she dressed resonable. Respectable to be in the Princes presance and not looking like she had just come from the haven. Which she did. She was nervous and anyone looking at her from amile away could tell. She walked to the doors and tapped lightly waiting for the response. With the sound of the prince answering the knock she walked in. She went to stand in front of him. he didnt look intiarely pissd off more aggervated than anything.
She looked at him and nodded, "Prince, you asked to see me."

Damian & Beyonca

It didn't take long after Damian's announcement to his secretary before there was a soft knock on the door. He smiled vaguely to himself. Beyonca was showing more than the proper respect, and that was something Damian appreciated. Like any man with a big ego, he loved it when people were stroking it, be it with words of flattery or simple gestures such as this one; knocking when one had already been given the go-ahead.

"Come", he said, his voice loud enough to carry through the sturdy doors.

As the raven-haired beauty approached his desk, Damian glanced up at his bodyguard, his sheriff, who as usual was standing to his right, his back straight and rigid, and his perceptive eyes currently on Beyonca. It amused Damian how no matter who entered his office, the sheriff always had the same look on his face; a blank mask, revealing nothing but the tiniest hint of suspicion.

"Prince, you asked to see me."

Beyonca had now stopped in front of his desk, and Damian's gaze shifted back onto her. She was indeed a beautiful addition to his clan, though possibly a little too... unrefined at times. He knew that she - for some reason that he himself could not fathom - enjoyed the club scene, and would dress accordingly. Thankfully, this evening did not seem to be one of those occasions however.

"I did", he replied, and motioned towards the comfortable armchairs in front of his desk. "Please, have a seat."

He studied her as she did what he asked, and for the moments that followed, letting the silence settle in the room and stir her nervousness even more. He'd come to value that kind of approach, as those seconds of uncomfortable silence often told him alot about the person sitting opposite of him, and their state of mind.
It was obvious to him that Beyonca was experiencing feelings of anxiety and distress, and that told him she was well aware that she had done something wrong. Or something she knew Damian would consider wrong anyway.

"My sources have informed me that there was an incident in The Haven last night", he said finally and leaned back in his chair, clasping his hands gingerly over his toned abdomen. "Your name came up. Care to tell me about it?"

Milo (Malkavian) - streets, The Haven

# 6 [Second Night]

In haste, Milo left the morgue. The fact that his boss most likely would wonder about his absence again didn't stop him. When he reached the sidewalk outside the main entrance, he felt that nearly all the voices had been left behind. Atleast for now. As if the morgue somehow triggered them.

But Milo was not alone. The humans walking the streets didn't count in this matter, only vampires did. And he was not the only one. He had been watched. And the vampire made his presence known simply by walking up to Milo and putting his arm around his neck, as he was about to walk downtown. Milo flinched, and backed a few steps. He recognized the young man, but could not place him.

"I am your sire", the young man answered his silent question. "Well, one of us."

This was the young man who had been using a strecher as a surfboard last night, when he and a young woman and a little girl had embraced Milo. This was nothing Milo could remember, he just had an eerie feeling of regocnition.

The young man raised his index finger to his lips, and looked around as if someone was listening. Then he laughed, and Milo wondered if he too was high. Though the sane thing would have been to walk away, something made Milo stay. Maybe this man could tell him about the odd events of this past night, and the loss of memory of the last one. So Milo listened as the young man talked. The words were sometimes clear as the water from a spring deep within a forest, and sometimes entwinted with hidden meanings Milo didn't understand. Here and there the young man said things that really confused Milo, and at the same time made sense. Although Milo could not point out the sense, he felt as if they understood each other.

They walked down the street, leaving the morgue further and further behind. Milo listened, and the more he heared the more he felt at ease. But he had an internal battle going on at the same time. This could not be real. If the young man's words were real, that meant all he knew was a lie. But how else could he explain bursting into fire? Not feeling his heartbeat? Not breathing, but still walking around? All the things he tried so hard to ignore or explain with drugs.

No. This could not be true. The voices in his head concured with the young man, but Milo couldn't let go of all he had known to this point just yet. When the young man suddenly stoped, Milo discovered he was outside a club called The Haven. Just as familiar as every other d*mn thing this forsaken night... The young man took him inside, Milo's eyes lingered with the doorman before looking around the place.

(OOC: Well, Ada is leaving there and Kess is following her so you can jump in with us if you'd like...as long as that's okay with Penny and if you want to and whatnot)

"Where might one not go? We are not limited, as you well know. It simply depends on what you are in the mood for." Kess slung an arm around Ada's shoulders casually and leaned down to whisper in her ear. "Where humans might select Chinese, Italian, or Mexican for their evening meal, we might have our pick of the many homeless that wander the city," he pointed at such a man on the opposite side of the street, "a late jogger, or a lonely businessman, late getting home from work after a visit to his mistress. The ones who have most recently been intimate taste the best, it seems. Perhaps it's in my imagination." He gave a short, high-pitched giggle and looked to the sky. "Or perhaps it's not."

After a moment's thought, he nodded as if coming to a conclusion and bared his teeth. "Something bookish tonight," he decided. "A college student cramming for a test, maybe. And you, honey? What sounds appealing to you?"

Bee and the Prince

"I did", he replied, and motioned towards the comfortable armchairs in front of his desk. "Please, have a seat."

Bee went and sat in the arm chair. The silance in the room was deafing and it made her even more nervous. She almost wanted to scream out what happened. Only the Prince could do this to someone. He had so much power to him it frieghtened everyone.

"My sources have informed me that there was an incident in The Haven last night", he said finally and leaned back in his chair, clasping his hands gingerly over his toned abdomen. "Your name came up. Care to tell me about it?"

If Bee had a breath to hold she would have let it out now. He was a handsome man. Bee knew in when he was human that the women would have fallen all over him. But as a prince of the vampires, women fall in fear.

" Ada. She. I dont know what really happened. I was dancing and heard a bang. I turned to see Ada standing staring at a girl in a fountain that was clear across the room. I knew she had did it. I went up to her and scolded her and told her she needed ot get it cleaned up." Bee was figiting with her hands but she couldnt take her eyes off the prince. If she was human she would have been crying. She had never been so happy to not be human in her life than at that time.

" I offered to help her. I told her we would take the body out in the alley and leave her there. I figured people would have thought she had gotten drunk and fell." At that time Bee thought it was one of the stupidest things she could have ever thought of. She should have just let Valerian take care of it.

"Well, we were picking her up to take her out and Valerian came to see what was going on. We told him what we were going to do, he said no. He told us to go and let him take care of it. Then Ada bit back telling him to fuck off and was still going to do it. I couldnt just let her do it alone, but I should ahve known better than to still go along. I should have told her that I wasnt going to do it, to let Valerian take care of it. It was foolish of me. I said we should take her to the club down the road. The one I read about in the paper that always has incedents there. Valerian got even madder and told us once more to leave her. He told us to get out and not come back."
Bee glanced down at her hands at the time and relized she was figiting. She stopped and put her hands in her lap.
"Then both Ada and I disrespected him and told him I wouldnt come back. Except not that nice or proper of me. I am very sorry Prince. It was stupid of mt to interfer. I wont deny my fault in this."
Bee was releve and still anxious at the same time. His face never moved or showed exspression. Which was a good way for him to scare the crap out of her.

Damian & Beyonca - penthouse office

Damian listened quietly as Beyonca told him her side of the story; a story he had already heard, as one of his informers had been in The Haven at the time, and another had heard about the incident by listening to others gossip. Apart from a few minor details, the stories had been close to identical.
But when compared to Beyonca's story, there were quite a few differences.
It seemed she was blaming herself more than anyone else was. The crime committed against Camarillan law hadn't been hers. She'd simply tried to help to cover it up, to uphold the Masquerade. It was just that by doing so, she had managed to rile an already angered Valerian.
Toreadors. They were so touchy.

However, there was no denying that the idea to dump the girl in an alley was a foolish one. Damian could see why it would've upset Valerian. And then opposing Valerian when he refused to let them go through with it... While it wasn't a crime per se, it was a sign of bad manners, and disrespect - in a place not suitable for either one.
Still, Beyonca wasn't placing blame, she was simply telling the Prince the facts as she saw them. She was taking full responsibility for what she had said and done - to the Prince, it seemed she was even taking a little too much responsibility - she acknowledged that she had been wrong, and she was apologizing.
It was all very commendable. Damian was proud of her.
But he never, not for one fleeting moment, let it show. His face was as blank as that of the sheriff. Until she fell silent.
Then he tilted his head slightly to the side and gave her a curious look, as if trying to analyze her, in order to decide what to do with her.
Punishing her was out of the question, simply because she hadn't done anything worthy of a punishment. No, scolding her was as far as he would go, and it seemed he didn't even have to do that. She'd already scolded herself quite enough.

Now, had it been a member of another clan, he would've surely had quite a few choice words to say to them. But Beyonca was one of his own, and so naturally it was easy for him to find it in his cold unbeating heart to be lenient. It was a natural thing, siding with his own kind, despite the fact that he was supposed to be impartial.
Though had she really committed a crime, he would've acted like one would expect the Prince to act; objective and fair.
But as that was not the case here, he could afford to go easy on her.

He stood slowly, knowing she was watching his every move. He'd seen the way she had been fidgeting, and knew that she was probably expecting quite a few harsh words from him.
Rounding the desk, he stood infront of her and leaned back against the sturdy piece of furniture, placing his hands on the surface on each side of his hips as he studied her once more. Then he suddenly reached out and brushed a strand of hair from her face.

"Beyonca, my dear", he said, and a vague smile stole across his lips. "It seems to me you have already done all my reprimanding for me. While the plan you came up with was indeed a poor one, the only mistake you really made was to argue the solution with Valerian."

His hand withdrew, and perched itself on the desk once again.

"He's a Toreador, after all, and the Toreador are so... sensitive."

Gemma, Mina, and Mihael : The Haven | Aella's Opening

Gemma and Mina, with Mihael soon

As Gemma stared out onto the dance floor, her eyes locked with the enticing man who was dancing with the beautiful dark haired vampire. Although their eyes only met for a millisecond, it seemed like an eternity to Gemma. This human was so enticing to her, there was just something about him that made her want to speak to him, to touch his soft cheek, she wondered what his blood would taste like. She could almost feel it rushing through his veins. . . .

“My dear, if anyone would question your authenticity you have my permission to inform them that you are training within my household. Do not take that decision lightly for it brings its own cross of responsibility to bear.” Mina said in a tone that Gemma knew was genuine, snapping her out of her daydream.

"That means so much, too me," Gemma responded, as her attention was diverted away from Mina to the mysterious man Mina was staring at earlier. He was now approaching Mina.

As Gemma watched the man's strange gait, she observed that he was a very hard person to read, and Gemma was usually very good at reading people. After what seemed like an eternity, he reached the two enchanting women at the bar.

The man then turned his head towards Gemma, looking at her with a very strange expression on his face which Gemma could not quite interpret. She felt very strange under his gaze as she waited politely and respectfully for Mina to introduce them to each other. Remembering that this man was her Elder, Mina did not return the strange look to him, but kept her face pleasant and mildly curious as she studied his boyish features.

Aella Hithe

Aella lightly snapped shut her black laptop, and removed it from her mahogany desktop. She just got rejected for another part. . . . turned down like always. The rejection emails stopped hurting her feelings after a while. She learned to develop a hard outer shell around her heart and not take things too personally.

Comes across too cold, too dark. . . . Doesn't fit the part. They always had some excuse to shovel down her throat, and she was getting just a little sick of it. At least she had her writing to fall back on, but she couldn't even rely on that as of lately; she was having a terrible case of writer's block, and nothing was going right for her.

She gracefully got up from her seat and walked to the bathroom, picking up a brush and frowning at herself in the mirror. She ran the black brush through her brilliant red hair and she tried to work through a twist in the plot of her story. Nothing was coming to her, and she was getting frustrated. She dropped the brush indifferently into the empty sink.

Some fresh air will do me some good. My mind will be clear by the time I come back inside, Aella thought to herself as she grabbed a light jacket from her bedroom closet.

She was at the door in no time, thrusting it open to feel the cool breeze hit her porcelain skin. She wrapped her jacket around her thin torso as she descended the steps, she tilted her head upwards as she walked down the sidewalk. Most of the stars were invisible because of the lights of Los Angeles, at times like this Aella missed Illinois.

Aella knew she really should be more cautious about walking around a big city at night, but she could not help but feeling safe. Some how, she just did not care right now if she got mugged; her emotions were very strange right now. Up ahead of her, she saw two young people whom she assumed were lovers, as the man had his arm around the miffed looking woman. The wind carried random words of their conversation back to Aella. It sounded as if they were discussing food. . .

Maybe the conversations of random people will give me a little inspiration for my novel, Aella thought as she continued down the sidewalk, hands dug into her pockets.

Bee and the Prince

Beyonca didnt know what to think when Damian looked at her. She saw him tilt his head and knew he was thinking. She wished she could tell what he was thinking. His face or eyes showed no expression. He tilted his to study her. He knew she was nervous. It was one thing she had a hard time controlling. He got up and walked to her and leaned agianst the desk. He looked at her. Beyonca didnt know what to think. He reached out and hand and moved a strand from her face. Instantly she felt relieved. She knew by his soft touch that he wasnt going to be rash with her.

"Beyonca, my dear", he said, and a vague smile stole across his lips.
He was the only person who could say her name and make it sound regal. She was grateful that he wasnt scolding her. She smiled warmly at him.

"It seems to me you have already done all my reprimanding for me. While the plan you came up with was indeed a poor one, the only mistake you really made was to argue the solution with Valerian."
He with drew his hand. She knew he was right. The plan she made was a poor one and she should have known better than to argue with valerian. She felt as thouh she failed. She didnt make the decisions she should have as a Ventrue.

"He's a Toreador, after all, and the Toreador are so... sensitive."

She smiled at him again." Yes he is a Toresdor. He so charishes The Haven. I should have known better then to go against his word. My thinking was not good. My plan was a wrong one. I should have thought better as a Ventrue. I feel as though I failed our Ventrue ways. I meant to tell you that I have aplogized to him for my unrulely behavior that night. I felt it was the least I could do. I am greatly sorry for displeasing you with my actions. I dont want you to think less of me for my moment of child like behavior. I hope there is a way to get back in your good graces."

Bee felt as though 100 ponds have been lifted of her shoulders. She could only hope he didnt think less of her and there was something she could do to think better of her. She didnt want the Prince to think she was a irresponsable and did what she pleased. She always stayed out of trouble and kept to herself. Even though she her head woundered much about the human race and wished she could get close, she never did after that one time. She never wanted to be in the situation she was in now.

After a moment's thought, he nodded as if coming to a conclusion and bared his teeth. "Something bookish tonight," he decided. "A college student cramming for a test, maybe. And you, honey? What sounds appealing to you?"

Ada frowned slightly, deep in contemplation. What did she want? " A college student sounds a bit bland for my taste tonight." Ada whispered, nonchalantly running a finger across the star on Kess's forehead. "I feel like something a little more challenging. Maybe one of the insolent young kine I saw outside the arcade. I'm sure their blood would be sweeter then any chocolate." She flicked playfully at a strand of his hair, turning to walk backwards in front of him. "The night is young and there's plenty of time for a quick meal. I believe I'm off to the arcade, where might you be going to find your college student?"

OOC: Sorry its short, I'm low on creativity.

Damian & Beyonca - penthouse office

As soon as Damian spoke, Beyonca seemed to relax, and rightfully so. He was not angry with her, nor had he been prior to this meeting. Annoyed was perhaps a better word. Annoyed that one of his own had been connected to an incident such as the one at The Haven. But never angry.
However, where Beyonca relaxed, others would've been scared out of their wits. The Prince had been known to mix the kindest of manners and sweetest of tones with the most alarming of words. Thus, brushing that rouge lock of hair from her face and talking softly to her could've been a most ill-boding sign. Had she not been a Ventrue. He rarely used that tactic with his own kind, unless they really deserved it. And Ventrue never did. They knew their manners, and their place.

"Yes he is a Toreador", Beyonca said, smiling warmly. "He so cherishes The Haven. I should have known better than to go against his word. My thinking was not good. My plan was a wrong one. I should have thought better as a Ventrue. I feel as though I failed our Ventrue ways."

Damian nodded slowly. She herself was saying everything he could've possibly had to say, and so she was well aware of her errors. All he had to do was confirm that what she was saying now was correct, so that she would know he expected her to learn from these mistakes, and not make them all over again.

"I meant to tell you that I have aplogized to him for my unrulely behavior that night", she continued, earning a pleased and appreciative look from the Prince. "I felt it was the least I could do. I am greatly sorry for displeasing you with my actions. I dont want you to think less of me for my moment of child like behavior. I hope there is a way to get back in your good graces."

He was indeed impressed. Not only did she take full responsibility for what she had said and done, but she had already tried to set things right with Valerian as well. Unlike some, who would've come whining to Damian about how they were not to blame, and expecting him to sort out their mess.
But neither her nor Valerian had come crying to him, and that pleased him.

"From what I can tell, you've done what you can to redeem yourself", he said. "You seem to fully understand why your behaviour was not becoming of a Ventrue, you've apologized to Valerian and you've apologized to me. I no longer see any reason to be displeased with you."

He paused for a moment, as there was still something he felt he needed to say. It was not a reprimand or a warning, but simply a reminder of something he expected every Camarilla vampire within his domain to know, respect and follow.

"But Beyonca", he then continued, taking on the tone of a slightly chastising but loving father. "Do try and remember that we're Kindred. We're the strong ones, and it's our duty to look after the humans. Within reason of course. Leaving a young innocent bleeding in an alley is not an option. We are above such barbaric behaviour. Especially us Ventrue."

He gave an aimless wave of his hand as he stood, and returned to his seat behind the desk.

"Consider it our cross to bear."

The pleased look on Damians face let her know she had done well to apologize and try to make things right again. She was glad she had done at least on thing right in this whole mess.

"From what I can tell, you've done what you can to redeem yourself", he said. "You seem to fully understand why your behaviour was not becoming of a Ventrue, you've apologized to Valerian and you've apologized to me. I no longer see any reason to be displeased with you."

Bee nodded her head. She could still fell something in the air. There was something else he wanted to say to her. The look he gave her was like a father tellinh his daughter something important. She felt like a child at that moment, like his child. Maybe he felt that way. She didnt know but what he said next only confirmed what she thought.

He waved his hand and returned to his desk. He wasnt dont so she didnt say anything.

"Consider it our cross to bear."

Again she felt as though she failed.

"Yes Prince I understand that know. I will think deeper next time I am faced with sercimstances like that. I can only hope it will never happen again. I will have to rememeber our ways. It was against our ways to leave an innocent alone hurt. There is no excuse for what I was going to do. I should have thought more into it before deciding about anything. Or better yet I should have told Valerian first. Our cross is a heavy one. Humans destroy themselves enough with out our meddeling."

Beyonca looked down.
"I am glad I did at least one good thing in this whole ordeal and right my wrong with Valrian. He has accepted my apology and let me back into The Haven. We are on good terms even though I can still feel some tension. I saw Ada there earlier. It looks as though she was apologizing. I couldnt hear what was said, but it loooked as though he refused her apology. I exspected it to tell you the truth. She left seeming aggervated and mad."

Damian & Beyonca - penthouse office

"Yes Prince I understand that now", Beyonca said, and Damien listened as she went on to explain her thoughts on her behaviour.

When she mentioned Ada, however, and her encounter with Valerian not too long ago, a shadow of discontent stole across his face. Yes, Ada. He still had to take care of her. But he'd do it through Mina. That was why he'd sent for her. She was the Tremere Primogen, after all. Let her deal with the insolent whelps of her clan.
Besides, he had another reason for wanting to meet with her again, so he might as well kill two birds with one stone.

"It's alright, Beyonca", he said and leaned back in his comfortable chair again. "I'll see to it that Ada and her behaviour are dealt with, and what Valerian decides to do about her is his business. Your quarrel with him has been put to rest, and so as far as you're concerned, the matter is now over and done with."

With that he gave a small dissmissive wave with his left hand, to show that he had nothing further to add, and that she was excused.

"Enjoy the rest of your evening."

Alric rubbed his hands together with a slight smirk. The night was shaping up nicely; the funeral had gone off without a hitch, so his reward had been a night off followed by a proceeding day of freedom. He layered his clothes on. First, a pair of black pin-striped jeans. Then a white jersey tee, over that a gray hoodie, and over that, a black blazer. He tugged the skull and crossbones patch over his right eye and then drew his semi-long layers of hair back into a short stub of a ponytail that sat loosely at the nape of his neck. Rogue wisps of hair framed all levels of his face and gave him a look of charming, scruffy disarray.

He reached into the jar where he kept a plethora of random items that had no correlation to one another whatsoever. Out came a cherry lollipop, a set of keys, and an inconspicuously designed switchblade. All went into the pocket of his blazer, and with that he exited his apartment and entered the cool night air.

The Arcade's neon lights burned into his retinas, searing across his vision until he couldn't shake the glowing image of the words hanging above the gabled roof. Alric couldn't resist. He pulled the wrapper off of the lollipop and slid it between his lips, savoring the sweet cherry flavors as they danced over his taste buds and trickled down his throat. With a forceful shove the doors to the arcade swung open, a sea of blinking lights and beeping sounds, dinging, buzzing, humming, technology.

He hopped merrily over to a vintage Mrs. Pacman game and inserted the necessary change, watching the screen spring to life and the familiar yellow-bodied female critted leap across the machine before him. Alric stood there, entranced, completely submersed in the game.

Bee and the Kiss

((ooc: Penny I love him. I happy to have another Ventrue.))

"Yes Prince." She nodded at him and left.
Beyonce felt relieved that it was all over for her. She was glad the Prince took it easy on her. She relized her mistakes more now than ever.
Walking down the streets feeling the cold air on her baby soft sking was refreahing. Now that the ordeal was over with she decided to put it all behind her.

She felt the hunger in her. She had been hunger since talking with Zillah. The emotions and stress talking with The Prince had drained her more than she knew at the time. She needed to eat.

Bee walked in the direction of Matthews house. He was her blood doll. He has been for years now. She fed off of him and he let no other do so. She had wanted it that way. He was all hers. It was an intamcy between them. It was the only pleasure she could give him. He adored her for it. If she was human he would be one of those friends with benifits. She made it clear since the first time that this is all she would give him. They saw each other frequentally. Countless times he had asked her to embrace him, but she refusted. She would never do that to him. He was one of the few things she cared about. He thought of it as a luxury. She thought of it as more of a curse. Thus she promised to keep this bond betwen them if he never was embraced. It was thier deal. She knew he would never give her up.
He was kind of a nerd persay. Short black hair and sparkling hazel eyes. He was well built and hair alway a mess. But he was always in the books. reading. studing. Many hours on the computer he spent. He tasted great. The healty body and nerdy in him was a great mix. It was in his blood, she loved the taste. It was so intamte. She had seen him raise a few times with the kiss. If he asked she would please him some way afterwords. They has sex a few times. More for his enjoyment. She didnt feel much. The first time has had asked if she was on birth control. She had laughed histariculy at that. It didnt take him long to figure out why, he was a smart one.

She got to his house and knocked on the door. She heard ruffling around and heard him trip over someting. A small laugh came out of her mouth. He was a clumbsy one she had to admit. Not even to mention his house was always a mess with books scatered every where.

The door opened and a smile was wide across his lips.
"Dont you know that you should ask who it is before opening the door. There could be monsters out here." A seductive smile on here lips.
"I have meet many people and read many books. Never had I ever read or meet one."
He looked at her stern. He hated when she was said monsters. AS if she was inplying that she was one.
"Ahh but there is, you havent meet one yet. I have meet a few. May I come in?"
"But of course."
She walked in and took of her jacket. Instantly he put his arms around her and kissed her on the neck. He rubbed his hands on her arms and turned her around. He liked to play dominate and she liked it. It was a good change for someone else to be. He took off her blouse and ran his fingers down her chest. She took off his and and the pants too. They always did it that way. It made her feel more human and he knew it. He knew she missed being human. He always tried to make her feel more like one. But feeeling wasnt something she was good at. Vampires didnt feel much in pleasure.
they made it to the bed and the rest of her clothes came off. She was kissing his finger tip and then his chest. He reached out his arm to her as in giving her the go ahead. She kissed the spot softly and ran her touch on it. She saw his eyes light up in desire. She drew fangs out and bite. He arched his body as if exploding in pleasure. She didnt know why he so muched enjoyed it. When she had been biten in her embrace she felt pain. But he felt much pleasure. His warm blood went in her mouth. She moaned from the warmth and passion. The taste was as close to bliss as it could get. A exscaped from his too.
When she was finshed, she kissed the spot once again. Licked up the blood spilt on his arm. Kisses were giving up his arm to his neck and eventuall on his lips. He had risen in the even. She arched an eyebrow at him. All he did was shake his head no. He didnt like for her do pleasure him in any other way, because he couldnt pleasure her.

She laid now beside him and he rolled over and put a hand acros her waist. They stayed like that for awhile until he fell asleep. She rolled out of the bed and put on her clothes. Looked at him one last time and left. Making sure to lock the door behind her.

Once again out on the street of L.A., she wished she could feel the coolness of the night in her lungs. She walked the streets. Pondering what to do. She thought of going back to The Haven. She woundered if Zillah was still there. She didnt know if she could handle one another deep conversation with him. She had plenty tonight. She decided to just walk the streets. She passed in front of it and stood looking and debating on what to do. She kept walking. Figuring a good walk would do her some good. She might even meet someone new along the way.

((ooc: ok. That is how I emagined the kiss, If it is wrong tell me and I will change it. and Bee is appraochable if anyone needs someone to talk to. srry so long. My imagination got the best of me. :p))

Michael Hidenburg

“Supernatural?” the illustrious young man echoed, his expression sliding into a marked look of amusement and disbelief. His eyes burbled warm and cool in the same instance, a naturalistic mold blanketing some of the suspicion that Michael held against him. Though, she couldn’t help but shake the feeling that they might just be prodding one another with practiced fingers, testing each other… Then, he shook his head, as though to dismiss the idea in its entirety. And Michael frowned.

But, a whimsical smile claimed the ground over his dark lips, and he purred, “Ah yes, Vevila. She has a voice like no other, that one. Such passion, such beckoning of a man’s soul. The Sirens of Ancient Greece would pale in comparison.”
He seemed to allow something of a pause between them, and though it was brief it was evident, he was thinking over the idea carefully. Yet, the smile stapled to his cool lips read that he already knew his decision. It was a very strange concept, full of breathing paradoxes, and Michael couldn’t help but feel suspicion strain for the fleeting seconds that passed…then he spoke again.

“I would be most delighted, and honored to have you play here again, Miss Hidenburg. And I think you and Vevila will make a most fascinating duo.”
Following his beautiful, light voice, Valerian gave to Michael the most cordial smile, something that almost made her wish she could peel away the folds of suspicion that cluttered against him in her mind. Following his beautiful smile, Michael provided a sheepish grin, delicate and perfected through years of practice by mirror side, that made her appear as tender and innocent as a child.

The beautiful young man’s expression quickly darkened however, a complete seriousness riveting over the corners and in his glistening eyes and he sounded almost beseeching as he reached for her hand, “But, please. Do promise the performance with Vevila won’t be your last at The Haven. I will never forgive myself if--”
Michael’s face flushed as his fingers brushed over the gauze, then retracted, as though he might have been stung by the material. If he was a creature borne of the night, as she vaguely suspected, a thousand false accusations could roll through his mind at the appearance of a serious injury… Her eyes moved to her hand, and she frowned upon it herself--as though just remembering it for the first time that night.

“But…” he said, looking upon it as well with baffled features ornamenting his fair visage, “You’ve hurt your hand?”

Michael acted quickly--slowly nodding after his statement, and tracing her uninjured hand softly over the gauze. Her gaze lingered there for some time, as though she were sealed in a trance, before she sent her gaze spiraling back to her inquirer.
“Yes,” she smiled, bashful, “I…It should be healed soon. I had a bout with a wine bottle this evening, or a shard of one at least. Seems I didn’t clear my couch off as I should when I took my nap,” she gave a burbling laugh, bringing her free hand to her lips, “It’s painfully embarrassing, my place really is a pigsty.”

She frowned shortly after though, and brought the injured hand before her eyes, turning it to and fro for a full inspection, “I suppose you can say I’m a bit of a klutz.”
She then waved it dismissively, “But, give not such anxiety on my behalf, beautiful Valerian,” she smiled, “the look of concern on your face is quite touching, and I appreciate your subtle gestures of worry.”

“And…I meant to thank you, ” she continued, her voice set at a softer tone, and her eyes cast to the mahogany texture of the bar, “for this. The place you have here is such a wonderful setting and, ever since my move from France, life has been a true nightmare. I suppose everything just moves in a constant blur of sound and color, but no one ever makes an impact. It’s just…a bit lonely, moving to a country you don’t entirely understand, having no family or friends to-”
Michael frowned, cutting herself short immediately, and sending a curious gaze to Valerian, “My apologies, Monsieur. I had no intention of indulging you in my trails and tribulations.”
She brought the glass of champagne to her lips once again, and took a sip of the godly drink. Even after only a few gulps, the drink permitted her to drop her guard so that her problems were relayed to others…Valerian even. Hastily, she set aside the glass, and mentally reminded herself not to drink any more, for fear or saying something that utterly would give her away and either scare off her chase or frighten a mortal enough to calling up the loony bin…something she would rather like to avoid after the little incident in France…

Jaden's temporary hiatus

((I'm sooo sorry I haven't been around but work is all consuming atm (basically get up, go to work, come home and sleep ).....so with that said, Jaden is going on hiatus for a while. Thanks to Atropa for covering my ass while this has been going on and I'm hoping that in the VERY near future, things will get easier. If you need to get a hold of me for any reason then you might be able to catch me on AIM but it would be very rare. But you could always ask cazzy and she can leave me a message as she knows more ways to get a hold of me Oh and first post has been updated finally..sorry))

--------------------------------------------------

The phone call Jaden had received while in the club had been from her mother. When she had ran away from home, her father had cut all ties to her and refused to acknowledge his daughter's existence. For that reason, Jaden's mother had to call her on the sly, although Jaden resented even this small intrusion on her independence. When she arrived home, the phone was already ringing. Answering, she plopped herself down onto the clothes strewn bed. Sighing, she settled into what she expected would be a usual phone call from her mother. After a few minutes, Jaden's eyes began to well up with tears. "Let me call into work, and I'll be there as soon as you book me a ticket," she said just before hanging up. My father has had a heart attack! I always thought he was invincible! In spite of the rift between father and daughter and Jaden's break for independence, Jaden loved her father dearly. Growing up she was always a daddy's girl, and it was from him that she received her confidence and determination. Throwing some clothes in a bag, she called her work, to quit if she had to...............

Valerian & Michael - in the bar at The Haven

(((ooc: Penny - Yey, another Ventrue! :D)
innoscent - It was great. No need to worry about the length, nor the details. It sounded really good.
dev - Will do my best. *s* Take care, and hope to see you back soon. *hugs*
cherry - Sorry to nitpick, but didn't the little "incident" occur in England? The bio mentions Michael and her husband moving to England together, but doesn't say anything about them moving back to France? )))

At his observation, the young pianist gave a slow nod and looked down at her injured hand. Valerian had half expected her to withdraw it, and dissmiss his question with the usual, mortal "Oh, it's nothing". Especially since she seemed so... guarded, so distant and wary, despite the delightful smiles she gave.
She was a dangerous one, there was no doubt about that. Valerian found himself to sometimes have to struggle to remember it, as her smiles of innocence were so convincing they threatened to seduce him into throwing all caution to the wind.
But he knew better. With age had come an instinct to watch his step around mortals, and he would not be easilt coaxed into spilling something he shouldn't.
On the contrary. He was as determined as she seemed to be to try and dig a little deeper, to weasel just a little bit more information out of her.

"Yes," she said, offering a shy and slightly embarrassed smile. "I… It should be healed soon. I had a bout with a wine bottle this evening, or a shard of one at least. Seems I didn’t clear my couch off as I should when I took my nap. It’s painfully embarrassing, my place really is a pigsty."

Valerian smiled, and quirked a curious brow. The gears were turning in his pretty little head. She sounded honest. Truely honest. And she'd just offered him a piece of the puzzle that was her. Her place a pigsty... shards of a wine bottle... the poorly bandaged hand... Signs of a mortal being in great emotional and spiritual pain.
He'd picked up on it earlier. As a Toreador, he was in touch with the usual tortured souls of many artists, sometimes even in tune with them. He'd once been one of them, he'd felt the unrelenting, never-ending need to somehow express his inner turmoil, to make it tangible, to see it, in order to understand it.
But with her, he hadn't been quite sure if it had been for real, or something she simply wished to portray. With her, the lines between reality and deception were so blurred it was difficult to tell which was which, even for someone like Valerian with his immense insight into the hearts and minds of the Kine.

"I suppose you can say I’m a bit of a klutz", Michael added with a frown, before finally dismissing the topic with a wave of her hand. "But, give not such anxiety on my behalf, beautiful Valerian, the look of concern on your face is quite touching, and I appreciate your subtle gestures of worry."

At that, he had to chuckle. She did indeed have a way of expressing herself that seperated her from the majority of her generation. She was as much an artist with words as she was with music.

"And…", she continued softly. "I meant to thank you, for this. The place you have here is such a wonderful setting and, ever since my move from France, life has been a true nightmare. I suppose everything just moves in a constant blur of sound and color, but no one ever makes an impact. It’s just… a bit lonely, moving to a country you don’t entirely understand, having no family or friends to..."

Suddenly, she stopped talking, looking somewhat displeased with herself before shooting Valerian a look. She'd figured she'd said too much? Or was it just part of the act? If it was, he had to admit it was a very good one.
Oh, what a find she was. Music, acting, even talking... Her talents were many, and exceptional. A mortal born to be a Toreador if ever there was one. Valerian so yearned to have her be one of them.
But with her guarded stance, and the tiny little bell of warning that kept ringing in the back of his mind as he looked into those eyes veiled by innocence and sincerity, he had his doubts that she would welcome the Embrace, should she learn about the Kindred (provided that she didn't already know). And Valerian would never force the Embrace on someone, nor would he ask anyone else of his own kind to do it.

"My apologies, Monsieur," Michael cut short her minor monologue. "I had no intention of indulging you in my trails and tribulations."

Valerian gave a gentle smile. He didn't fail to notice her sudden change in attitude towards the glass of champagne. He was now convinced. She had indeed been honest about what she had told him, and it hadn't been her intention to reveal that much about herself. Which meant there were more clues to be gathered.
France, she'd said? Yes. He could hear the accent when she spoke, along with some... German, perhaps? Though the French accent was more distinct. If nothing else, her tendency to call him "Monsieur" gave it away.

Okay, so now he had two pieces of the puzzle, if not more. He would just have to find someone who could look into the France part for him.
But who? Who could he trust?
The Nosferatu were excellent at digging up information, even when buried so deep no human would stand a chance of ever finding it.
But their services always came with a price tag. And Valerian could only think of one thing he could offer.
Oh well, he'd have to give it more thought later. Right now, he wanted to focus on Michael, to try and draw even more information out of her.
Or not.
The fact was, no matter how lethal she might turn out to be, Valerian enjoyed her company immensly.

"No, no," he said, inching closer to show his genuine interest in her and whatever she might care to tell him. "Don't apologize. I'd be more than willing to listen. I find it refreshing, and to be honest, a relief to hear someone speak of matters concerning the heart and the mind, and not just the body."

He let his gaze roam the club for a moment or two, before looking back at her, a vaguely sheepish smile stealing across his face.

"I do so love this place, but I'm afraid it often leaves me starved for some real conversation."

(((ooc: ATTENTION EVERYONE! We'll be moving on to the next night in a little less than 27 hours from now, so you might want to wrap things up. )))

Carmilla (Tremere) - a Tremere mansion

# 15 [Second Night]

Seath did have a heart, somewhere deep inside. Finally he let Carmilla out of her imprisonment, but only with the strong order that her walls may have grown bigger but they ended with the mansion. Carmilla played the part of the devotee with success; he felt he could leave her side. And she could move freely within the manor, thus being able to be in the same room as other Tremere brethren. Quick, and out of sight she manage to gather a piece of paper, a pen and write down a short message. She folded it until it was very small, and hid it in her and. Her Sire appeared now and then, to check on her. She was sure to do something above suspicion, like reading a book.

When she had almost lost the nevre, she saw her chance. A young tremere, never the less with great courage, entered the room. Carmilla had no time to loose. She immediatly came to her, slipping her the little piece of paper.

"Please...", she said with a voice weak as a whisper.

Then she left the room, feeling like she had committed a crime. But she had to slow down, and she needed to find a reason for leaving the room. Like she had no hidden agena. She held her book close to her chest, and went up to her room. If Seath asked, she could convince him she needed rest. But she was scared he could feel her in their blood bond. Feel the secret within her.

When the young Tremere looked at the message she had been given, it read: "Please ask our Primogen to ask our Prince to send for me."

Mina

((OOC really sorry for holding you up guys, I've had exams and another situation that's taken all my time... Long and crappy RP to follow as an attempt to catch up. ))

“Mina.” Mihael greated her with a polite inclination of his head “I presume that Valerian has told you of the unfortunate events that occurred yesterday evening? She has many foul marks above her head at the moment. Disrespecting her Elders, mocking Valerian…and having the audacity to speak carelessly before a kine, who already had looked upon a scene most bizarre yesterday…It’s a delicate situation, Mina. In that mortal’s eyes sits a suspicion most prominent, and a silent knowing…which bodes quite ill.”

Mina’s eyes dipped to the floor with a silent grace before rising to Mihael’s own a small smile grazing her berry lips in a polite acknowledgement of his Elder status. Yet the smile soon faltered to turning to stone upon her lips as he spoke clearly of Ada’s deeds. The soft voice revealed yet more of Ada’s disrespect of her clan than the conversation with Valerian had bestowed.

“He informed me of the details concerning himself.” Mina replied her cool voice concealing the angry shards of temper that still raged towards Ada, “But it seems there is yet more to the fateful tale of Ada. I would almost believe she wishes herself banished from this city with such blatant disregard to that we hold close.” Mina gave a cold smile, it was a step she would not hesitate to take to protect her clan. “But it is never that simple, I fear there are many entanglements all of which will need some consideration.”

Mina paused, she wished to discuss the matter further. To see what knowledge of Ada’s behaviour or this threatening mortal could be gleaned. But the night was pressing on, the first stirrings of the sun awakening from its doze, threatening to break through and pierce their night with its fatal rays.

Noticing his gaze flow to Gemma, Mina’s face once again took on a warmness that could almost be mistaken as human. “Miheal, please excuse my manners, you have not met?” One brow quirked with the question. “This is Gemma, a fellow Tremere.” Her voice was filled with a warm approval, indicating that Gemma was one worthy of time and consideration amongst their conversation.

Bo had also noticed the pressing of time and his small body slunk towards them like a jungle cat. His eyes quickly meeting Mina’s in the search for her silent promise. A brief smile glazed Mina’s lips “I am afraid you will have to excuse me. I have a little business to take care of before first light.” The slightest incline of her head refined her farewell.

Mina turned to catch Valerian’s eye and gave him a brief smile, to indicate that she was leaving before turning to leave the club her stride stylishly unhurried yet determined as the crowds parted like the red sea to allow her through. She was aware that it was an insufficient farewell for the gracious host but did not wish to delay or to disturb his conversation with the human.

At the Museum

Mina’s eyes flickered from Bo’s face as she registered the approach of a young Ventrue. Once noticed he gave a respectful bow of his head indicating that he wished to speak to her as he stood a little way from them careful not to encroach on their conversation. She acknowledged his presence with a polite nod of her own. The flame-haired man looked impatient to speak to her, which could only mean one thing. Few would interrupt or approach a Primogen when engaged in a private conversation. The ones that did usually bore the weight of responsibility from a power far greater than their own. That of another Prmogen or the Prince himself. Given the situations of the last two nights it was likely to be the later.

Mina stepped towards the Venture elegantly broaching the distance between them so that they were out of earshot of any unwanted pricked ears. “Yes,” she said with a cold smile one eyebrow raising indicating he was to explain the reason for his intrusion.

The Ventrue spoke quietly yet curtly. “The Prince wishes to inform you that your presence is required. At your earliest convenience.”

Mina
nodded once, she understood perfectly. At your earliest convenience, was a polite touch. “Thank you, for your time. I will respond to the Prince personally.”

One slim pale finger extended towards Bo as the Ventrue departed. “Deliver this message to the Princes office immediately: I have received his invitation but given the time, I will be unable to attend tonight. I will visit his office within a few of hours of sunset tomorrow.”

Milo and his Sire - The Haven, streets

#7 [Second Night]

Milo saw faces that felt familiar. And for each face that gave him that sensation he was feeling ill. And his Sire, walking beside him telling him about his new life, didn't make things easier. It helped him understand what had happened to him, but it ended life has he knew it. Maybe his life to this point hadn't been great but it was his life, he had choosen it and enjoyed it. He didn't know if he was ready to give that up, yet he was realizing it was already behind him.

He saw a very beatuiful man at the bar, engaged in conversation. Something about him struck a chord within Milo. Of all the faces his was the one Milo's eyes stayed with. His Sire started talking again, this time about the beautiful man. The Sire said he belonged to the same creatures as they did, but was from anoter clan. Clan...? The word meant nothing to Milo, but the young man beside him started to explain. Milo felt a laughter grow inside him, but it didn't reach is lips. This started to make sense, and it was the very thing that haunted Milo. But when he started to comprehend that although he belonged to a new kind, everyone within that kind did not belong to each other. He and the beautiful man was different he learnt. Again with the laughter. Milo felt how it automaticly, involuntary, rose to his eyes and made his lips curl. Although he didn't feel like laughing.

In fact, nothing made him feel the slightest of happiness. Live forever? What joy would it hold if you were getting insane? He could feel it creeping up on him. As he stood there, with a some what devilish smile. Still looking at the beautiful man. There were several clans he learned. He was Malkavian, the man with the angelic face was not. And all the other clans either feared them or just found them incoherent.

To Milo, that was a fate worse than what he had when he was alive. More cruel. Behind his starstruck eyes, tears lingered. Milo couldn't stand the overwhelming thoughts and feelings. He rushed deeper into the club, with his Sire right behind him. He was actually looking for the exit, but couldn't find it in all the confusion. Instead, he ended up in the back, finding a heavy door that he pushed open. Instead of the street with neonlights, they ended up in an alley. Milo looked around, and he could see monsters in the scarce beings in the alley. His Sire was the worst one. He backed away, and when his Sire tried to calm him down, it only made things more difficult.

Milo ran.

His Sire caught up with him outside an old theatre and there he threw himself over Milo, forcing him to the ground. Screaming and kicking, Milo wasn't going to give up without a fight. His Sire knew things was getting dire, so he used his inhuman strength to calm Milo down. It worked. Like some kind of magic. Locking eyes with his Sire, Milo felt a connection. It was both what he had been looking for, and the most terrible thing he had ever experienced.

Next thing he knew, his Sire had brought him aside from the street, standing in a corner. "You need to feed." The words rang a bell, but at the same time worked as a warning. Somehow Milo knew he wasn't talking about food. This was his next lesson. The need for blood.

Milo understood what he could, of his new destiny. And he accepted what he could, cause he thought that would prevent the madness. Maybe that in itself was foolish.
Like in a haze, a mist of inconsistent memories, thoughts and new meanings, Milo followed his Sire into a back street. The words stayed with him, the instructions. Although his Sire's words would have little or no meaning to an outsider, mostly a human one but also a vampire, to Milo it was like his native tounge. A few feet away, a homeless man stood and examined a Coca-Cola can. The Sire snuck up behind him, grabbed him around his neck and put a hand over his mouth. It all happened so fast. Milo was scared, but he did do the unthinkable. He sank his teeth into the skin of the man, and when he tasted the first drop of blood it was like something took over. Milo had hungered for blood, without knowing it. And it was all in due time. His Sire let him take over, leaving the man in his arms. Milo drank like there was no tomorrow. His Sire gave im praise, at first, then he told him to stop. First with a common voice, but as the seconds flew by he got more and more anxious and grabbed Milo's arm. With force he tried to make Milo stop. And when he started to notice people at one end of the back street, things got pressing. Then the Sire felt the one thing that was impossible to take back. The end of a beating heart. He backed away, and at the same time Milo let go of the man. Milo reacted on instinct, first with the drinking of the blood and now with his senses feeling death within the man by their feet.

The people at the end of the back street started to scream. The Sire looked at them, and then at Milo. His childe had blood on his face, a dead body infront of him and a look in his eyes most fitting for a homicidal maniac. The Sire turned to their bystanders, and with a great deal of all the powers inside him he sent a field of dementation energy towards them. In a matter of seconds, they were all laughing hysterically.

But the deed was done. No one could take it back. Not even the masters of the universe.

The Sire lifted the dead body over his shoulder and started to climb the fire escape. Somehow, this was the most peculiar thing within the commotion for Milo. He followed his Sire, not really knowing what had happened. When they reached the roof, the Sire layed down the body and tried to make Milo understand. Killing was not acceptable, it was rare and if it occured - it sure as the daylight was their foe couldn't happen infront of other humans. That was not allowed. In fact, it was a violation.

Milo might not understand much, but he knew what he felt. And he felt that his Sire's words meant something really frightening. So he got up on his feet, and ran over the roof of the building. At first, his Sire chased him, but he soon noticed he was on his own. And with the dawn approaching, he knew he needed to find somewhere to hide.

Sarah Chamberlain ~ The Beach/Haven

Sarah sat on the beach, watching the sunset. The water glistened and the warm sand scrunched beneath her toes. A pair of gold, strappy heels sat beside her and so did a matching sequined purse. As soon as the sun went down, Sarah got up, wiped the sand off the back of her pants, picked up her shoes, and walked back torwards the car. She was seriously going to investigate The Haven tonight. She ended up going home 5 minutes after she arrived last night. Sleep was more important. Now she was well rested, and ready to go. First she had to drop by the public library to drop off a book, but that was clear across town. And The Haven was just a few minutes away from where she was. So she would be a while.

~~~~~~ 1 Hour Later ~~~~~~
Sarah had arrived at the club. The bouncer suprisingly let her in. She scanned the crown for anything mysterious. She was going to try to remember everything she saw and heard in this club, then turn it in to the local or school paper. Then everybody would know how weird it was. However, she didn't want to jump to conclusions too quickly. She would keep going for about a week. Then draw a conclusion. She first would order a drink (virgin of course. She was not a criminal) so she would look like a legit clubber. The mingle, dance, etc. Sarah sat down at the bar and ordered a drink. It arrived infront of her, and she took a sip. Then she sould feel a presence behind her.
((haha, I am in a roleplaying mood. Sarah is approachable. Jess will be arriving later jsyk.))
ooc: It did...sorry Atropa. Some things came up--mother lost her car keys, so my friend had to pick me up from school. Friend wanted to go to the mall and I just got home. :/ If you ever need to godmod Michael or Mihael to move on, feel free. It's better than having them sit there in silence. :]
Bee at The Haven
Beyonca woke to nothing but cool blackness. She always woke to that. Of course most vampires did. She sat on the edge of the bed and ran her fingers threw her hair thinking it was another night of eternity. She fell back on her bed thinking of yesterdays events. It was a long unuall night. She had been going out of her usuall way. Normally she stayed to herself. Ever since her friend immortalness was vanquished, she stayed alone. Until recentally. Bee started wanting to be socal. She relized how much she missed it. Her thoughts woundered on her friend. She woundered on their secret. Her friend Morgana, was her sire. They never told anyone. When Bee asked why, she had told her that she wanted a friend not a childe. So they never spoke of it. Never told anyone.
Pushing it out of her ind she got up and grabbed some clothes and got in the shower. The warm water over her skin felt refreshing. She relaxed and leaned aginast the wall. Letting the water cascade over her body. She heard her phone ring but didnt bother to get it. She just wanted to relax.
20 minutes later she got out. Blowed dried her hair and got dressed. She wasnt sure what she was going to do tonight. She would more than likely end up back at The Haven sooner or later. She sat down on the couch and turned on the tv. She was justin time for the last news report. She watched and heard so much about people being murdered. Coutless deaths. One was not to far from where she lived.
Throwing on a jean jacket that matched her low rise jeans over her black tight fitting t- shirt. Deciding to wear her black boots with small heals. Tucked her jeans into the boots and headed out the door.
There was a breeze that night. It made her hair fly fly over her face. She cursed herself for not bringing a hair tie. Putting her hands in her pockets she walked down the street, just walked around watching. Couples where kissing and some people where walking alone glancing at her.
She stopped at an intersection and looked up at the sky. No stars as usual.
Continuing to walk she went into The Haven glancing at the bouncer. Went to the bar and sat next to a young women.
Sarah and Bee ~ The Haven
No sooner had Sarah taken another drink, a woman had sat down beside her. She had long, cascading black hair. And she looked her age. Maybe she went to school with her and just never noticed her. "Hi." She was trying to be inconspicious tonight, but it's always nice to say hello right? The woman didn't order anything, so why would she be sitting at the bar? She noted that, and went on with "undercover" work.
Bee and Sarah
Bee glanced at the women next to her. She was a pretty thing. She had beautiful blonde hair and a good lean body. She looked at her with suspicion. Of what Bee could know. She guess most young women were like that now a days, with good reason.
"Hi." the girl spoke to her.
" Hello. " The girl looked young. Much to young to be here. But Bee didnt smell any alcohol in here drink. She must be coming here to take in the scene.
" How are you this night?" Be questioned. She put a friendly smile on her face.
Sarah and Bee ~ The Haven (#2)
"Hello. How are you this night?" The woman smiled, and Sarah felt more comfortable talking to her. "Fine. Thanks!" She smiled and looked up at the woman. Her apperance fit in with the mood of the club. She stirred her smoothie-like drink with her straw and took another sip of it. "So how are you?"
((sorry for making it so short.))
