"So how are you?"

"I am well. I had an eventful night last night so I am hopeing tonight it nice and calm." She looked over at the bartender and asked for a beer. She wished she could drink it. She could go for one. It was just for appearances.
"I dont remmebr seeing you here before, do you come often?" Bee turned so that she was facing her instead of turning her head. She took the beer and put it to her lips put just enough on her lips to taste.

Sarah and Bee ~ The Haven (#3)

"I am well. I had an eventful night last night so I am hoping tonight it's nice and calm." The woman ordered a beer, which dropped Sarah's suspicion about her. Maybe this place wasn't so bad after all. "I don't remember seeing you here before. Do you come here often?"

"I've been here the last two nights. It was really freaky the first night though. Some man kissed my hand and I fainted!" Sarah started to laugh. She broke out in an irresistable smile. "I know it sounds pathetic but it actually happened!"

innoscenteyes 18th Oct 2007 5:29 AM

Bee raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"Oh, is that so! That is intersting. Is he here tonight? I bet he was good lookin."
Bee laughed at that. laughin agisn at a girly thing wasnt something she often did. She thought it was Valerian that kissed her hand. It was something that sounded like him. But it felt good to do something like this again. It had been a a very long time.

ElektraNatchios33 18th Oct 2007 5:39 AM

Sarah and Bee ~ The Haven (#4)

The woman started to laugh too. Sarah was still slightly giggling. "He might be. I think he owns the place. He has black hair. Short, but to his chin area. Do you know him?" She realised the woman didn't even know her name. "Sarah Chamberlain, by the way." It made sense to tell her name. She's not dangerous or weird. And they were laughing together 5 seconds ago!

innoscenteyes 18th Oct 2007 5:48 AM

((ooc: Srry! I am fighting my internet service. It had been rainging so it keeps coming and going.))

Ahh so Bee was right, it was Valerian.
" Good to know your name. I'm Beyonce but most call me Bee." She held out her hand and smiled widely. " I do know him. His name is Valrian. We know eachother." She laughted. " He does put an impression on people." Bee couldnt help but laugh. If she was mortal, Valrian would have caught her eye. But being a vampire and from different clans, it would never happen. Still she laughed. She didnt know what was wrong with her. She hasnt laughted so hard in ages. "Im sorry. I dont know why I cant stop laughting. I can just see Valrians face wiht you passing out froma kiss on the hand. Im not picking it is just funny. Im srry." She managed to say that threw the laughs. If Valrian saw her laughting like this, he would deffanetly be curious. It isnt often you see vampires acting like this.

Sarah and Bee ~ The Haven (#5)

"Somebody who wouldn't know any better would think we were high or something!" Bee's laughing made Sarah laugh. "I don't laugh like this with by best friend." This made Sarah think. There is nothing weird about this place. She had completely forgotten about the research she was supposed to be doing here, and started having fun like people came here to do. "So does Valerian do that often? You know like make people faint?"

((It's okay. I hate it when that happens. btw, I'm glad I made Bee laugh, but I guess you're the writer ))

innoscenteyes 18th Oct 2007 6:05 AM

Bee and Sarah

Bee laugh was still lingering. " Yes they would! I havent laughed like this since my old friend. " It made her think of Morgana. Her laugh started to die down a bit. It remeinder her of lonely she really was. Besides Mathew, Bee really had no one. "Valrian has a presence that is know to everyone. He is a very charming man. I have to admit I have seen many men and women fall head over heals for him at first glace, but I havent seen anyone faint." Bee put the beer to her lips to get another taste. It was just a dabb she put. Bee couldnt help but wounder what it was about the girl that made her like this.

((ooc: the funny thing is that i actually imagined valerians pic in my head with a face looking like someone fainted on it. I was really laughing.))

ElektraNatchios33 18th Oct 2007 6:16 AM

"Well, you should have been here the night before yesterday. It was hilarious. You know, we should really do this more often." Sarah smiled. She enjoyed hanging out with Bee. The smoothie like drink she had had melted down a bit. Sarah took a sip. It wasn't as cold as it was when she ordered it earlier. "So I mean, where are you from. What do you do?"

((I pictured Sarah falling off the stool!! *plop* lmao!))

innoscenteyes 18th Oct 2007 6:27 AM

Bee liked Sarah. It was wierd for her. She was human and Bee wasnt. She couldnt see there friendship forever becasue of that fact, but she could try couldnt she?

"I wish I was to see it. You are a neat person Sarah." Bee smiled and nodded her head.
"It would be good to do this more often." Bee put more beer to her lip.
" I live a few blocks over. I have an apartment. I take pictures. A few things. I am a photographer. Mostly for city amgazines. Mostly for a magazine called Hot Spots. It tells about kool places to go for people who like a night life." Bee smiled at her not even aware of what she had just said to her. "What about you?"

((ooc:rolf. it is a funny tohught for sure.lol.))

ElektraNatchios33 18th Oct 2007 6:36 AM

"I'm getting a degree in journalism at UCLA, and work part time at Starbucks." Sarah thought about Olivia and how she was practacly leaving her behind. She really didn't want to do that, but Olivia wasn't much of a friend. All she did was tell her where cool party spots are. Well, If it wasn't for her, she would have never found this club and met Bee. Sarah had mixed feelings about this whole things, but she was enjoying the moment. and Bee was really sweet. "You know, I am really enjoying this night!"

((I think we're gonna get in trouble. Look at how many posts we've made! ))

innoscenteyes 18th Oct 2007 6:44 AM

" Sounds like it will be a good choice in career. I am having a good time tonight myself. it has been a long time since I have done this." She smiled warmly at her. She was so young and even Bee looked it the girl had no idea who she was or what she could do to her. It made her long to be human once again. Even though the thought of death scared her and being human she would have died, she missed the pleasures fo life.

((ooc"omg! I didnt even notice! lol ))

ElektraNatchios33 18th Oct 2007 7:00 AM

"Yeah. I hope to write for The New York Times someday. But that's probably a daydream for somebody like me. I don't even have a boyfriend yet." Sarah had lost track of time, and everything else. She didn't even know this woman until just a little bit earlier and now they were gabbing like two teenagers at a slumber party. Another drink was ordered and placed in front of her. Olivia's probably worried sick. Knowing her she'd have already called the campus and city police to file a missing persons report.

innoscenteyes 18th Oct 2007 7:06 AM

Bee felt sad that she doubted herself. "I am sure you can do it. Dont doubt yourself. you never know what is right around the corner. Have you ever had a boyfriend?"
Bee was shocked to find she didnt have one. She was sucha beautiful girl. How could guys not want her to be theirs?

ElektraNatchios33 18th Oct 2007 7:11 AM

"Well, yeah. In High School. I've never been one to date. rather than going to dances, I would stay home and read." Sarah had never been so happy. Somebody finally understood her. For once, Sarah felt loved and cared for by somebody else other than her parents. Something told her they would be here a while.

((That's all for tonight. Bed...grrr...stupid school. Go ahead and GM Sarah if you want/need to. ))

innoscenteyes 18th Oct 2007 7:19 AM

" I am some the same. I tend to be to myself most of the time. I dont do much dating. Never have been one to be that interested in men all the time. I occasionlly want one. I have one that i usually go to, but we aren't a couple." Bee smiled at the thought of Mathew. He would be glad that she hasmeet someone new to hangout with and talk to. He always told her she needs to be more socal. Just because sheis a vampire doesnt mean she needs to be lonely.

((ooc: yea thats it for me too. i am tired. ))

AtropaMandragora 18th Oct 2007 12:18 PM

(((ooc: Okay guys, you mentioned something about it yourselves, so this will not come as a surprise; please try to make your posts a little longer. I'm glad to see you RPing and that you're enjoying yourselves, but 3 or 4 lines doesn't leave much for people to go on. Don't mean to be a b*tch, but for the sake of everyone, please try. Thank you. )))

Milo (Malkavian) - Streets of L.A.

#8 [Third Night]

The second night as a vampire ended up in an attic. Milo fled over the roof tops, jumping from one building to another, like he was in a action movie. Feeling the sun being only half an our away, he broke a window and sneaked in. The whole building was abandoned, and he soon found a place to sleep that had no risk of sunlight ever reaching it.

But there was no sleep for Milo. He was too afraid, cast aside by humans and vampires alike. He tried to think through the events of this passed night, but could not connect the dots. His mind didn't work with him, it took it's own paths and left Milo behind. Like a scared little child, he finally passed out of exhaustion.

The gnawing of a rat woke him up, immediatly jumping to his feet. He looked at his arm, where the rat had bit him and terror rose within. He really was an undead, a corpse wild animals attacked. But something else ascented, a need he had to get used to. Next thing he knew he held the rat in his hands, biting through it's fur and into it's flesh. But it got cold so quickly. Milo threw away the dead rat, and looking around the attic he really wanted to get out.

Seeking his way back to the broken window, Milo found the welcoming curtains of the night. He could venture out, getting to know the night and maybe find someone he could have as a friend. The man from last night had scared him, and Milo tried hard to forget what he had done, and especially what the man had tried to tell him. Of course killing was not allowed, even humans knew that, but it had seemed to Milo as if this was a crime even worse to commmit in the vampire society.

Milo made his way through the dark, starting on the roof tops as he feared the ground, not knowing what was down there. At the same time, his Sire was on his way to the Prince, having sent another clan member to inform their Primogen. Malkavians might be the insane clan, but all vampires knew the laws. No matter what they thought of them or even if they could laugh like a raving loon at them, they had to abide. The Sire had actually bought a big shoe on the way, fitting for a Clown. Just one, as if two would have been to repeat himself. This was his homage to the Prince, a Malkavian declaration of admitting the guilt as to why they all had a mad vampire on the loose. Not just Malkavian mad, cause that would have been a blessing in a time like this. No, just mad. Mad, in the sense that he was out of reach. Even for his mental brethren of the inane clan.

((ooc: sorry Atropa, we got a little carried away. I also have a question for you, how often do the vampires feed? ))

AtropaMandragora 18th Oct 2007 5:57 PM

(((ooc: Vampires should feed once every night. Twice or even three times if they get seriously injured and need to heal, or if they've used their powers alot.)))

Mina home - Prince-s office

The last golden shards of sunlight fled from the sky, sinking the city into its sodium haze as one by one street lamps hissed and cast their orange glow into the shadows. The heat hung in the air like a viper ready to suffocate its prey within the darkness of the museums loft. Mina stirred, her body arching, tossing against the memories, the thoughts threatened to drag her down back into consciousness. Slowly one eye opened a green slanted jewel that almost dared the sun to rise again to drown her in its glorious halo. To vanquish her from walking another night alone.

Mina pulled on her dark fitted clothing, each movement filled with purpose, none wasted to the silence of the night. The clock hands moved steadily, each tick resounding like a heartbeat, still less than a minute had passed before she heard footsteps softly treading, tiny thumps like mice upon the polished wood.

Bo entered like an assassin, almost as silent and deadly as his mistress. His small frame, sliding, face contorting into a smile of pleasure as it fixed upon her. Yet he restrained himself, merely gliding to her side. He had news to bestow and any delay would displease her, cause the icey orbs to turn on him blankly, to wickedly deny him any slight flicker of joy, however small that he might bring to his frosty queen.

His liquor smudged lips came up to whisper into Mina’s ear the puzzling message. A ghost through the trees, had come to him as the first bright rays swept over the earth and made him pledge that only Mina herself be told a fairytale of magic and woe. The pale spectre had wept the tale of one imprisoned within a glass coffin, a beauty that slept through the sunlight. Many chains bound her, of love and honour, lies and purity. The only hope was carried forth in the warbled song of a red robin for a prince one day to set her free. His might would destroy the dragon that burned ferocious unchallenged within the castle walls. With one simple kiss, the prince might awaken her to the candlelight so she might dance again.

Mina nodded, her face subdued as she deciphered the message concealed within the cryptic tale of Carmilla’s fate. So Seathe had finally overstepped the mark, his bitter jealousy forcing the hand of the one who adored him most. Mina had been waiting a long time for the day that Carmilla would peel away the sweet-scented fruit to reveal his rotten core. It appeared now the veil dispelled enough for her to request the help she needed to break the ties of her sire.

There were few that raised Mina to hate. To break through the inertia that had fallen over the years like a dark industrial smog over her feelings. Yet Carmilla’s predicament hit a rawness which still pulsated neuropathicaly through her essence. A sire who would dominate and control. Seathe was no better than her own had been, delusional with love that lost all grip on reality, on right and wrong pushing and pushing. Until what choice was left but to break free?

A silent smile glinted through Mina’s icy irises informing Bo he had done well. Her cherry lips slid back from the tiny sharp daggers, head descended to rest upon Bo’s slender honey arm for a few agonising moments of crimson bliss.

**********************************************************

Less than an hour after sunset Mina informed the Prince’s secretary that she was present and took a seat. One long elegant leg crossed over the other and her hands gracefully composed themselves in her lap. Her face blank as a canvas yet within her head the thoughts battled for possession as she turned each one over to determine the best way to handle the matters regarding Ada and Carmilla.

Gemma Rowan : Her Apartment

After being introduced to Mihael, late last night, Gemma glanced down at her petite silver watch and the time registered in her mind. Excusing herself from Mihael, ever so politely, she hurried home to her small apartment as the sky slightly lightened. She made it to the sanctuary of her apartment and fell elegantly asleep, waiting for the sun to rise and fall and for the beautiful moon to ascend once more. . . .

Gemma's eyes shot open. The stormy grey within them stirring rapidly around. The moon had just risen, and it was time for her to awaken and begin her night. Judging by the general untidiness of the apartment, Gemma deduced that she had thankfully not missed the visit of her cleaning lady. She got up took a long shower, and slowly put on her clothes. Gemma slipped dark purple short-sleeved silk blouse on, enjoying the feeling of the silk on her skin as she buttoned up the front. She gazed at herself in the mirror as she pulled up her black pencil skirt. She wasn't quite sure what she was going to be doing tonight, but she was going to look good doing it. She blowdryed her hair straight, then went to the small computer room to send a very important email.

She typed out a well-thought message to Mina's ghoul, Bo, telling him she would be coming to the museum the following night, and asking if his services would be available then. She had just shut down the computer when the ritual knock on the door came.

Gemma rushed to the door, eager and hungry, and opened it to find Delia, her cleaning lady, standing at the door. Delia's long blond hair fell to her shoulders and she looked eager as she let herself into the apartment. No small talk was wasted as Gemma lightly grabbed Delia's arm and raised it to her pale pink lips. Her white teeth sunk into the tanned flesh, as Delia let out a slight moan of ecstacy. Gemma lifted her head and wiped her mouth, not saying a word to Delia as she went to work cleaning. Feeding on Delia had been a nightly ritual for quite some time. Delia was just one of those people who enjoyed the thrill of being fed upon. Gemma wasn't complaining; she got to feed and a free cleaning service out of it.

Gemma grabbed her small black purse and decided to go for a walk in the night air, wondering where her feet would carry her.

((OOC: If anyone wants to approach Gemma on the street, feel free to. I will be back later with more and maybe Aella's 3rd night post.))

Valerian - beginning of night #3

(((ooc: BTW, I saw Valerian being described as having short hair. He doesn't (see pic) unless you consider shoulder-length short. )))

Much to his dissatisfaction, Valerian hadn't gotten to hear much more of Michael's story. The young woman hadn't even gotten a chance to try and squirm her way out of it. Claudia had interrupted, by walking right up to Valerian and demanding a meeting with him, in private. Valerian was far from thrilled about it, as he'd been looking forward to see whatever turns his conversation with Michael would take. But he couldn't resist Claudia. Even if his desire was to oppose her, the power he'd willingly given her over him - the blood bond tugging in his veins - made him give in, simply because she wished him to.

It turned out that the matter of which she wished to speak with him, was Michael. Apparently she too had heard rumours that this human girl knew more than she was supposed to, and knowing Valerian and his tendency to be so captivated by every person he came across, she felt she had to warn him before he let even the tiniest detail slip.
It bothered Valerian how Claudia sometimes seemed to think him nothing but a ditzy little plaything with no mind of his own, how she seemed to forget that he too held powers, qualities brought by his Toreador blood that made the use of disciplines sometimes redundant when dealing with Kine. He often had them eating out of his hand without even trying very hard. Even Kindred had been known to give in to him.
But once he'd ever so lovingly pointed this out to Claudia, and she'd let him return downstairs to the club, Michael had been gone. Valerian could only hope that she would in fact return to perform with Vevila, or by herself.
Judging by the curious, almost suspicious gleam he'd caught a glimpse of in her eyes, it was his guess that she would, and that it wouldn't be in a future all too distant.

He'd gone to bed late that morning, kept awake by yet another burst of unrelenting, merciless inspiration. The canvas had been calling out to him, his mind overflowing with images that would not let him rest until he'd made them bleed out over the tarp of immaculate white. Slowly the colors had mixed together, blended into a painting picturing a small glade in a forest. The first hint of morning light was spilling through naked branches of dead trees, their twisted and deformed limbs haunting, reaching out for the salvation that was the sun. In the corner of one's eye, something could be hinted in the shadows. Something elusive, something sinister, like etheral beings of sheer malevolence.
And yet when looking directly at those very shadows, they appeared to be nothing more than just that; shadows.
It was Valerian's greatest gift as a painter; the ability to infuse feelings in those that took even one look at his art, to make them not only see it, but experience it.

During the wee hours of dawn, he had finally finished the painting, and he left it to dry while he slept, exhausted but so very peaceful, now that the need to paint was no longer riding him.
Once he awoke to yet another night, it was all ready to be hung on a wall. And Valerian knew just where he wanted it.

But first he went through his nightly procedure of showering and getting dressed, choosing an outfit just a bit more plain this time; no bondage clothing, just his usual, unpretentious goth style, consisting of black pants and a long-sleeved graphic t-shirt in black with an abstrac dark purple pattern. And, of course, black boots. However, he didn't tie his hair back into the usual loose tail, but instead let it be, allowing the unruly strands of jet black hair to fully frame his face.

He then left his chambers in order to fetch two employees to carry the painting downstairs, to the club. It had already opened for the night, and the crowd was growing by the minute, but people were still sober enough to move out of the way for Valerian and the two men carrying the painting. The three of them made it over to the bar, and following Valerian's instructions, the painting already hanging in the space between the two large mirrors behind the bar was taken down, and replaced by the new one.
This was something he'd come to do on a regular basis, to ever so often bring a new element to the atmosphere in The Haven. And to show off some of his work. He was an artist, after all.

"Thank you", he said once the new painting was up, and smiled at the two employees. "Please take the old one upstairs, and store it with the others."

The two men nodded, and carrying the other painting between them, they disappeared off towards the stairs. Valerian himself turned back to look at the new one, and get a feel for how it affected the atmosphere. It was a bit more disturbing than the art he usually chose to hang in the club, but it was far from being his most haunting work. The walls within his art studios through out the years, had seen far more eerie themes brought forth by his hand.

(((ooc: He's highly approchable. Will try and have something up for the Prince later.)))

Zillah = Arcade

After Bee had been stolen away by a phone call Zillah had continued to drink, each amber shot burning deeper through his chest, swarming his mind with swaying images. When she did not return he had finally stumbled out of the building, staggering home with a heavy head. Falling into his flat to collapse on the bathroom floor, the sleep of the dead drunk, all cares washed away.

********************************************************

The air in The Arcade rang with vibrancy the thrill of winning, despair of loss. A billion lights danced across screens teasing with the delight of success. Alluring to an intimacy between man and machine, the ultimate biomech connection. Zillah’s eyes half shut, catlike orbs taking in the atmosphere through thick golden lashes as he stalked between retrogames.

Finding one of the old fashioned machine’s a sly grin spread across Zillah’s pale face. He inserted a coin, head cocked slightly to one side ears pricked to locate the tiny clink of metal connecting. One hand slid down the side, caressing the warm electronic body until it was level with the source. A flick of the fingers, one steady thump, like a jolting heart, sending a vibration down its spine, not quite harsh enough to alert the sensors. Zillah held his breathe for a split second before the clatter came, the rewarding sound of metal zinging against metal, falling through the air to thud heavily against the bottom drawer.

Zillah’s lithe frame bent down a silent bow to the mastery of trickery. His pale hand scooping up the coins depositing them neatly into his pocket. An easy ride for a few seconds graft. He began to straighten to move onto the next machine, the gamble too thrilling to resist when he felt a pair of eyes upon him, boring into his back. Turning around slowly a disarming smile firmly planted itself across his rosy lips.

((LOL I have no idea how you hijack arcade machines so it’s pure fiction. Anyone feel like spotting him just jump in :D))

Vevila turned the mint over in her mouth, her tongue swirling over its smooth surface. It clattered cacophonously against her teeth, and a strange clicking sound was emitted whenever it reached the front and was smacked against that area in particular. The area where one would assume was near her canines. The taste of the mild sugary substance was coating her throat and she could only handle the flavor for so long; eating mortal substances was tricky, even with such meager amounts. After a moment longer she daintily held out a napkin and disposed of the disk-like candy, dabbing at her lips with the small paper square before tossing it aside.

Her hair was pinned to one side, curled into loose raven ringlets that cascaded over her exposed ivory shoulders. The charcoal sweater she had selected sat languidly off her shoulders, as if nearly about to fall off, but somehow miraculously managing to cling to the slender bones there for dear life. The exquisite lines of her collar bone cut across the top of her torso, drawing a vague attention to the string of lustrous pearls that hung like a garland of dew around her elegant neck. Hanging over her hips like some ancient drape was a smooth cloth skirt of a warm cream color. Vevila exuded a paradoxically unmissable yet understated beauty and allure that both demanded you stare, and yet warned you against it lest you doom yourself to a fate quite similar to that of the archaic Narcissus.

Without paying any mind to the vulgar catcalls and wolf-whistles that met her as she strode into the street and cool night air, Vevila paused only to get her bearings. A dainty finger spun a lock of ebony silk hair around it, and it twirled endlessly like infinitely duplicating ivy. There was a charm about the perplexed look on her face as she stood there in silence, her other finger tapping her chin in a gentle rhythmic pattern; one that seemed to have caught the gaze of a few onlookers nearby. Vevila didn't falter. Her plump rust-colored lips spread into a enthralling smile that would have made even mass murderers break into a genuine look of appreciation.

((anyone can be one of the onlookers. :] ))

Bee and Mathew

Bee left The Haven.Warm blood was all she thought about. She didnt want romance tonight. Which was very usuall for her. All she wanted was to eat. Many things had changed for her. It was like her world was turned upside down. Everything she usually did, verything she thought had changed. She didnt want to be alone anymore. Eternity alone was a hard to image. She had done it for a hundred years, that was long enough. She needed someone like organa again. She missed the feeling of friendship and she couldnt accomplish it by hanging with humans. She had always been drawn to them. Now she relized that there was nothing to be there but the hurt of lose she didnt want to feel again. Maybe it was The girl she met, Sarah. She talked of friendship and life she had. A life that would go on. She didnt have to be restrained for fear that someone woul find out who she was. She had dreams she wanted to accomplish. But for some reason Bee was drawn to her more than others. There was something about her that was so kind and easy. She accepted easily. Sarah wouldnt accept her so easily if she knew what she was. For some reason Bee wanted to see her again. Actually wanted to be friends wiht her even though it would last but for so amny years. Sarah would eventually die and so would Mathew. Then Bee would be once again all alone.
Bee reached Mathews house and knocked. The door swong open and Mathew pulled her in quickly nealr making her head spin. He wasted no time geeting to buisness. Emadiately he kissed her fierce. Like he would never see her again. She didnt want romance and she wasnt getting it. It was need he was giving her. It felt as though he needed her. He took off his own clothes and pulled off Bee's. He took her hand and out it to his heart. She could feeling the thumping of his heart. She could feel the blooding running threw his viens. She drew her Fangs. She wanted him now. She needed to feed. It was teasing he was doing. He wanted her to feel the blood running threw his viens. She looked him in the eyes and his was fierce with need. He looked away and graped a knife. Bee's eyes widened. " Mathew! What are you doing?!"
All he did was smile wickedly and cut the tip of his finger a bit. Just enought to draw a little bit of blood to run down his finger. Her eyes went black at the sight. The beast was rising in her. She could feel it from the bottom stomach. He put the finger to her lips and she parted them to take the finger in. Blood smeared on the lip where the finger was. She licked it off them licked his finger. The blood was rich with alcohol. She could taste it. It was an usuall for him to be drinking. ONly for an instant did she second think feeding from him before he flung her on the bee. Her hair went flying around her. She proped herself up on her elbows wounder what he was doing. Never was it like this between them. Never had he acted this way. It brought her hunger and need out to the max. She could feel the beast lurking in her ready to jump out at any minute. He slowly got on top of her. Makingher lap flat against the bed. He put his body on top of hers. from her head to her toes she felt his heart beat. The warmth of his body was almost over bearing. The beast in her was rising even higher. It was about to let lose. Then he tilted his head over to mouth. Exsposing his neck to her. Her eyes went an even deeper black. the throbing wien was exsposed to her. She could see it and almost her the blood rushing. She couldnt hold it. She fiercely sunk her teeth into his neck. He scream. Bee almost didnt hear it. She couldnt know if it was from pleasure or pain. But he didnt move away or even try. A moan exscaped from his mouth. TYhe she decided it was pleasure. He hardened over her, she could feel it. She was nearing the end of her feeding. She needed to stop. she was about to pull away when he grabed her head and made her keep feeding. She couldnt move. Her eyes widened. He was making her druink to much. She didnt know what to think. Her fangs must be gonig deeper in him. Drawing even more blood. It was nearing the point where he would either die or she would have to embrace him to live. Then she knew. He wanted her to embrace him. She tried to pull away. He wispered in a dark strong tone, "Just do it. you know I want to you. Embrace me Beyonce. Please." She snapped. She could hear the human please in his voice. NO! she thought. She couldnt do it. She used most of her strength to push him off.
"NO!" Bee yelled. Tears were swelling in her eyes.
She had flung him across the room and he slammed into the wall. He got up with blood driping from his neck. His eyes were fierce with rage.
"And why not Bee! Why wont you take me?" He yelled at her with anger and rage mixed.
"I'm sorry Mathew, I just can not. I wont do it to you. You dont want to be like me. I know you would be miserable, thats why." Tears flew down her cheeks. She was crying. Bee couldnt believe it. His eyes softened to her. He was hurt.
Bee hurried and got dressed. Just throwing her clothes on.
"Bee wait!"
It is all she heard running out the door while wiping the blood from her face. She was a mess. Hair tangled and clothes not even straight. Her shirt was inside out and she didnt even notice. How could he do this to her. They had made a deal a pact and he dishonored it.

((ooc; ok, I hope vampires can cry if not tell me and I will change that. If someone wants her to run into them along the way it is ok with me.))

Damian & Mina

Damian was a creature of habit. He had always had a need to keep things organized; a need which had only intensified since his Embrace. Yet, anyone not of Ventrue blood knew very little about his habits. They didn't know where he slept, where he spent his time when not in his office, where he fed. In fact, they didn't even know IF he fed. There were rumours that he no longer required blood to sustain himself, simply because no one had ever seen him feed.
The truth, however, was that he preferred it that way. Just like with many other Ventrue, his taste in a very specific kind of blood had made him almost allergic to any that did not fit the requirements. He couldn't feed off of just anyone on the streets, lest he'd run the risk of vomitting. And if others found out what kind of blood he required, it would give his enemies one more way of getting to him, by sending the perfect victim in his path, poisoned with drugs that when in his own body would slow him down, maybe even disable him completely, and make of him a sitting duck, just waiting to be taken out. The same applied to the concept of blood dolls, and so he had chosen not to keep any.
Instead, he'd made arrangements to have the right kind of blood brought to him by people he trusted. Sometimes in the shape of a young human girl - though always of legal age - but mostly in the shape of blood packs from one of the city blood banks.
Innocence, and purity. That was the quality he craved. In his earlier years as a vampire, it had not been hard to find. Young, unmarried women had rarely given themselves to men or to strong drinks, and so he'd had a rather wide selection.
Nowadays, alot of girls lost their virginity years before they were considered adults, and by the time they hit eighteen, many of them had already had numerous encounters with alcohol and drugs.
But there was still one group whose blood was still pure enough to sate Damian's hunger. Priests. Although many had experienced both sex and alcohol in their youth, their years serving the Lord had washed them clean of such sins, and purified their blood.
And somehow Damian found it most befitting of a Ventrue - and a Prince no less - to feed on the blood of Kine touched by the Lord, mortals washed clean by God himself. The once Almighty. The one to turn away from Caine, the father of all vampires. Though still a strong force, He'd had to step down. Where He had once been, something else had now risen.
The Kindred.

As the Prince prided himself with always being available as soon as sun had set, he usually got up while there was still one or two hours of daylight left.
However, he was rarely bothered by visits from his Kindred subjects until a few hours after night had fallen, and so when the announcement of his first visit of the evening came, he was still in the lounge of his luxurious apartment, adjacent of his office. In his company was a young blonde woman, an eighteen year old catholic and untainted girl that the sheriff had brought him.
He'd almost finished drawing his needed amount of blood from her when he heard the large man return to stand in the doorway, alerting Damian that something required his attention. Damien's gaze locked with that of his bodyguard, over the pale wrist of the girl, and he gave the soft skin beneath his lips a gentle kiss to close the two tiny wounds before letting go. The girl was still in a daze, and barely noticed Damian leaving the room.

He left the apartment and went down the corridor towards his office. In the reception, a Malkavian was waiting for him. A Malkavian that had come to him before, not long ago, to seek permission to Embrace. This time, he came bearing... a shoe. A clown shoe, to be exact, and he offered it to the Prince.
Damian wasn't exactly thrilled to accept it, but he recognized the gesture as one of respect, and so he accepted it, only to immediately hand it over to his secretary "for safekeeping", otherwise known as throwing it away.
Once the greetings were over and done with, the Prince and his visitor entered the office where the sheriff had already assumed his usual position, and Damian sat down behind his desk. The Malkavian, however, remained standing, but despite Damian's motioning for him to explain his reasons for being there, he didn't say a word until Damian himself uttered his question aloud. Only then did he start telling Damian about the horrible deed of his progeny, Milo the mortician.
As Damian listened, he closed his eyes and started rubbing his temples. Partly because the Malkavian way of telling this tale made his head spin to try and keep up with all the twists and turns of the deranged mind, but mostly because he was trying to control his temper. Kindred killing Kine infront of other Kine... It was a Masquerade violation so severe there was no redemption, no forgiveness.

Minutes after entering the office, the Malkavian left, having heard only one sentence from the Prince on the matter; "You are hereby banished from this city". Los Angeles had no room for Sires who could not keep their progeny in line.

With the Malkavian leaving, the intercom in Damian's office buzzed, and his secretary announced that Mina had arrived, as per his request.

"Send her in", he ordered firmly, still fighting the anger raging within. "And send word to the other Primogen that I demand their presence here within the hour."

He rarely went as far as to use the word "demand"; his messages usually included far more pleasant and humble words, even though everyone knew that his requests weren't really requests, but indirect orders. And so his choice of words now only went on to signal the urgency with which he needed the Primogen council to meet.

(((ooc: ATTENTION ALL PRIMOGEN; This means everyone of you (except Mina) are to recieve a message from the Prince (over the phone or through a messanger, it doesn't matter) and head on over to his office for a council meeting. You have three RT days.)))

Andre jogged slowly downt he stairs into the Haven. It was still early but the crowds were already growing and humans and kindred alike jockied for space on the dance floor and near the bar. Andre pushed his way through the crowds to the bar. The owner, Valerian stood there. His head was tilted back slightly and his raven hair spilled over his shoulders like thick, dark ink. Andre followed his gaze to a painting on the wall. It was eerily beautiful and yet most likely terrifying to any human. "How wonderfully daunting" He purred quietly. "You truly have a gift, Valerian." Andre glanced around, The club was much like he remembered it. "I have been out of town for quiet a long time, what dire scandals have I missed." he asked, turning again to face Valerian.

Sarah & Olivia / Jess

Sarah watched Bee leave the club. She paid for her drinks and left. She was in the process of getting in the car when her phone rang. The Paramore song rang out through the parking lot. "Sarah here." Olivia was on the other line.
"Where the hell are you?!" She screamed
"I'm at that club again."
"Again! Sarah you have party issues."
"I have party issues? You stay out later than anyone I know."
"But I don't go out every da*n night!
"God Olivia don't panic. I'm coming home."
"Now you come home. You said you were going to be home in a hour or two."
"It's been..." Sarah looked at the clock. Oh geeze. "I'm sorry Vivs."
"Yeah." *click*
Olivia and her fought like this all the time. The car was started and she started to drive to. Her and Olivia were now offically over. There was no ending this fighting. She redialed her. "I'm staying at a friends house tonight. I'll be by tommorow morning when you're in class and pick up my things." *click* She dialed Bee's number.
"Hey Bee. Um, do you mind if I drop by and stay the night? I got in a fight with my friend."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The sound of a vibrating cellphone bounced off the walls in the bedroom. Jess awoke, but slowly and reached for her cellphone. It fumbled out of her hands as she tryed to open the thin phone. She got up and picked up off the floor.

The Prince demands your prescence within the hour.

Jess let out a groan and set the phone down. She turned on the shower and quickly washed her hair. A purple dress will fit the bill tonight. She knew the exact one. She slipped it on and laced up the front part of it. The mirroir reflected her slim body accompanied by a deep metalic puple dress with a bow in the front. It was her favorite. Her favorite pair of diamoned heels were sitting next ot her and slipped them on. Now off to the penthouse.

((I'll rp her arriving after others arrive.))

Bee and then talking to Sarah

Bee stopped running and leaned back against a brink wall. Still her mind was going in circles remembering what happen. It had all happened so fast. She should have know. How could he. He knew that she never wanted to embrace him. Once he asked her the first time, she should have stopped everything all together. This was bound to happen sooner or later, Bee was stupid to think it wouldnt. She negected her Vintrue instincts yet again. how could she be so stupid, now she lost the only person who she had. All alone yet again. Her heart hurt. The pain was over bearing. SHe needed something to do to get all this off her mind. Maybe The Haven. She looked down at her clothes. Her shirt was inside out and all twisted up. Pants were bunched up at the bottom where they meet her boots. Runningher fingers threw her, she knew it was in knotts. First she needed to go home and change. She looked a mess and whanted a shower. For some reason she felt dirty. The alcohol in Mathews blood was affecting her as well. She felt a little woozy. Vintrues were not suppose to drink tainted or dirty blood. Mathew knew that, that is wht she had been drinking. So the alcohol would mess with her system.
She stood up straight and rubbed her hands down her jeans. Just then her phone rang.
"Hello?" Bee answered tryingt o sound as if she wasnt in distress. She felt week. She had use much strength to push Mathew off of her and it was affecting her already. Not even to mention she had the alcohol. She needed fresh blood in her to weed out the bad.
"Hey Bee." It was Sarah. Bee hadnt exspected her to call tonight, but for some strange reason she was glad.
"Hey Sarah, whats going on?"
"Um, do you mind if I drop by and stay the night? I got in a fight with my friend."
Bees heart dropped. This is a sticky situation. What was she to do.
"Of course, are you alright? I will meet you at the the drug store on the corner two blocks from The Haven." Bee didnt know why she said yes. She wanted to Sarah for some odd reason. She just needed to be careful.

She waited at the corner for Sarah and wanted to curse herself for agreeing. How was she going to pull this off. Well the girl ahd schol the next day, hopefully, Bee thought. She would need to go to sleep earily tonight. So Bee would just be sleeping when she woke and the girl would leave to school. Maybe waking her up to tell her she was leaving. If Sarah asked she would tell her that she ahd judt went to bed. But what if the firl didnt have school. What was Bee to do then? Lie. It was the first thing that came to mind. She almost wanted t smock herself in the head. Well that was obvious. She would tell her that she has the day off. Whichw asnt a total lie. She has everyday off mostly. She was aphotographer, but she idnt tell her that she owned a photography company. She took pictures occasionally for herself, but usually let the people she hired to that. She idnt know why she hadnt told her the truth. Bee was acting strange.
Bee thoguht she could get a hotel room. How absurd. A human kicking her out of her own haven. She wouldnt do that. Bee would think of something.

Sarah pulled up in her car. Bee told her where she lived.
"Are you are okay Sarah?" Bee asked.

((ooc: sorry it took so long. I was tryin to weed everything together.))

Gemma arrives at The Haven | Aella

Gemma

Gemma's feet decided to carry her to The Haven, at least for a little while. She looked at herself in a window display on her way to the club. Her hair fell straight down past her chin; she was finally growing it out. She smoothed down the purple blouse and continued down the sidewalk.

Many people were crowded around the entrance to The Haven. The same bouncer that was there the previous night was there tonight. Gemma had met him when she was first Embraced on her first couple visits to The Haven. She felt like avoiding another confrontation, so she silently slunk by the burly bouncer into the throng of people.

She entered the club smiling. She succesfully bypassed the doorman and was now with some of her own. She felt more comfortable than the previous night as she scanned the club for familiar faces. She saw Valerian standing at the bar, looking positively adorable. His jet black hair cascaded around his face, giving him a mysterious look. Gemma positively drooled over him as her eyes shifted behind him. A magnificent painting was hanging behind the bar between two mirrors. It was the most beautiful thing Gemma had ever seen. She studied the painting for a moment, wondering about the painting.

What was she to do? Approach Valerian? It looked as if someone else beat her to the punch. She wilted a little, looking around the club for other familiar faces. When she did not see any she approached the bar and grabbed a seat, tapping her fingers lightly on the surface as she looked for an intriguing face.

------
Aella

Since the previous night, Aella had not had any breakthroughs with her novel. She had been walking around the conservatory all day, thinking. Trying to come up with something that would add that little oomph to the story. It wasn't going well thus far.

What the hell can you do? You can't act or write. What are you even good for? Aella asked herself as she brushed crumbs from her dark blue jeans. She was eating a ham and cheese sandwich in the kitchen, her elbows propped up on the island.

Her dark red hair was tied into a pony tail, which Aella stroked absentmindedly. Without really thinking, Aella left the kitchen and got a light jacket from her closet. Although a walk didn't help her the previous night, Aella needed to do something other than being cooped up in her small apartment! She sighed as the cold breeze blew her ponytail and she began her walk.

Valerian & Andre - The Haven

"How wonderfully daunting".

A nearby purr brought Valerian from his inspecting of the painting and the vibe it gave off against the rest of the decor in the club. He was quite pleased with the combination, as it added a little bit more air of mystery and danger. Humans loved mystery and danger. It was exhilirating, it sent their hearts racing, it made them feel alive.
If only they knew the thrills of being undead.
He turned his head to see who it was that had spoken. The voice sounded familiar.
Ah yes. Andre.

"You truly have a gift, Valerian", the man continued, causing the face of neonate to light up with a soft but beaming smile.

Beside the Toreador, he valued the critique of the Ventrue the most. They didn't always understand art, but most of them had impeccable taste, in just about everything. Recieving such words, although simple, from a Ventrue was nothing short of a heart-warming compliment.

"Thank you, Andre", Valerian said and added a humble nod to his smile. "You flatter me."

Andre then briefly looked around, as if to take in the scenery, and Valerian followed his gaze. But unlike Andre's, his didn't come full circle. Instead, it ended up setting on something that, not surprisingly, caught his attention. The darkhaired beauty known as Gemma had just entered The Haven. It was quite impossible not to notice her. At least to Valerian. Her way of dressing was more classy than that of most of the people in the room. With the exception of Andre, and Claudia. Most Ventrue would never be caught dead in an outfit that didn't reflect their refined personalities.
But there was someting else as well that made his eyes set on Gemma the moment she walked in. That air of mystery about her, that clung to her very being, despite her seeming to be so much more open than her Primogen Mina.
And the alluring smile she that was wearing. Valerian couldn't help but smile himself when he saw it. He would have to go over to her later. They hadn't gotten much of a chance to talk last night, with Ada's interruption and Michael's appearance. And Valerian so wanted to get to know her a little better.
But right now, his attention was drawn back to the Ventrue by his side.

"I have been out of town for quiet a long time", Andre said, turning his dark umber gaze back to look at Valerian. "What dire scandals have I missed?"

So that was why Valerian hadn't seen him around lately.
Ah, yes, coming to think of it, he seemed to recall Claudia mentioning something about it in passing, in one of the many monologues she held to try and keep Valerian up to date with what was going on in the city.

"Yes, I've noticed you absence, and am most delighted to see you're back", he said, and his smile turned just a little more playful. "But Andre, you know I'm not prone to gossip. Surely you don't expect me to just kiss and tell?"

App for Kira McCree - human

Name: Kira McCree
Age: 23
occuption: Painter
willingness to be embraced: yes very willing
brief bio: Kira owns a art galley in doentown L.A. She is widely know for her artistic abilities and her gallery. Mostly she is know for her rich landscapes of Ireland . but does have a few portraits and other paintings out there. She came to L.A. from Ireland when she was 18 ans cherieshes her irish roots. So she has an Irish accent. Quite modest. Picture her wearing a silk blouse and black slacks. (As I said I want to her to be a modest person, but I liked the picture so just think of her in modest clothing. If she becomes a vampire she might wear something like what is in the picture. And her skin is tanned a bit, not gray, lol.) Oh yes I forgot to add that she is a virgin. Doesnt drink or do drugs. She likes to keep her body healthy and pure.

Andre chuckled deeply. "Of course not, I come more so on business. Troubling news reached my ears just outside of town that there was a breach of the masquerade, I was troubled by this. Who would be so stupid as to risk the demise of all kindred kind? " he asked, sparks of anger dancing beneath the surface of his normally serene face. "Surely it was a Brujah brute or one of those unpredictable Malkavians."

Valerian & Andre

"Of course not," Andre said with a chuckle. "I come more so on business."

However, the laugh soon faded and the mirth in his eyes dissipated as he moved on to reveal that he was indeed looking for information regarding a specific matter.

"Troubling news reached my ears just outside of town that there was a breach of the masquerade", he said. "I was troubled by this. Who would be so stupid as to risk the demise of all kindred kind?"

As he spoke, his face took on a far more fierce expression, making him look every bit the supporter of Camarillan laws that were the Ventrue. When it came to upholding the Masquerade, and deal with those in violation of it, there were none more passionate than them.

"Surely it was a Brujah brute or one of those unpredictable Malkavians", Andre finished, adding a bit of logical reasoning to his inquiry.

Despite his grave seriousness, Valerian couldn't help but smile. Most Kindred resented the qualities that seperated the clans, but Valerian cherished them all. He loved how they were all so different. The Ventrue with their sharp mind and and firm hand, the Brujah with their rebellious nature, the Tremere with their mysterious allure... Even the Nosferatu, with their cunning and stealthy ways.
Valerian knew they didn't care much for the "pretty ones" such as him, and that his own kind would often wrinkle their delicate noses at the deformed creatures in return, but he himself didn't share those feelngs of disdain. He wouldn't go as far as to calling them beautiful, because they were anything but, even he had to admit that. But even beings of such a horrendous appearance held a certain appeal to him, in all their monstrosity.
But, back to the topic at hand.

"You've heard of a breach and yet you have not heard of the culprit?" Valerian said, quirking a teasing brow. "Why, Andre, I think you might be loosing your touch."

He laughed softly and placed a hand gingerly on Andre's shoulder, only to have it slide a bit further onto his back as he guided the young man with him to a spot a few feet away, that offered just a teensy bit more privacy than the crowded bar. There was no need to discuss these matters where someone could easily eavesdrop.

"If those were your guesses, you'll be surprised to know it was Ada, of the Tremere", Valerian said as a vaguely amused smile stole across his lips. "I've chalked it up to nothing more than simple instinct, but it was a breach nonetheless, and it's being handled accordingly. Or so I'm told."

Ada....Andre's pearl complexion blanched even paler as Valerian told him of her humiliating mistake. His lips tightened as he spoke, barely containing his animosity. " Surely you do not mean Ada Von Vita, the Tremere?" he questioned quietly, turning his head away in contemplative disbelieve. Ada had been a close acquaintance of his before he left. He remembered her as a quiet, courteous woman. Maybe a bit condescending, but by no means stupid enough to make such a discourteous mistake. Andre growled softly. Turning back to Valerian he straightened his face into a facade of serenity believable to most humans and a few vampires, but most likely not to Valerian.

Valerian & Andre

Valerian tilted his head curiously as he watched Andre's reaction. It seemed he was even more surprised than Valerian had thought he'd be. Did the two know eachother?

"Surely you do not mean Ada Von Vita, the Tremere?" Andre questioned, to which Valerian quirked another brow.

To his knowledge, there was only one woman answering to "Ada of the Tremere" in Los Angeles. Although he did realize the question had been a rhetorical one, but chose to answer it anyway.

"Indeed I do."

Mina - Princes office

After less than a minute of waiting Mina's decision was made. She withdrew the slim silver notebook cradling it delicatley in her palm. Her fingers flicked across the tiny keys with the lighting speed of proficency. Stroke by stroke the curt order was issued to Bo: Ada was to be found and brought to her office.

Mina ponded one moment, it might strike some rife throughout the Tremere but she had given Ada a full night to come see her.A night of grace whereby her actions could be justified, explained away by an apology. But now that time wa passed. One finger struck the send button and the demand was put into play. Bo knew the score, he would send whatever was necessary.Mina's cold eyes rose from the screen as she snapped it shut. The icy anger settling over her, freezing her features.

The secretary informed her the Prince was ready. Mina stood, her hands smoothing down the black pencil dress. Eyes flickering shut for one brief moment of concentration before she strolled purposefully into the room. Her stride filled with elegant confidence, a complacent expression blurring across the dainty features, a face that revealed nothing of the turmoil inside.

As Mina approached the desk her head bowed, eyes gracing the floor where they hovered for one dignified second before the emerald orbs rose to meet the prince.

Her silence was respectful. She offered forth no excuses for her clan's behaviour. She herself was appalled by Ada. Meerly waited patiently to hear what his view on the matter was.

Kira in the studio then at the haven

Kira had a long day at the studio. A whole batch of paintings came in from artists in Ireland. She is getting ready for a show case for irish haritage. Many of her painters are coming her from Ireland. Most of the art in the gallery were done by people with irish heritage. It is one the the reason she came to America, was to bring the irish art here. Some artist in the city had caught her eye, so she diapland them too. A showcase for them inst to long to follow. She had one for each every year. So the days were long and tiring from the planning. Not to mention she seems to be having an artists block here recentally. Her gallery was very well known just as she was. If anyone one was interseted in being an artists or showing work, they knew her and came to her.
She locked up the gallery and went up satirs to her studio. She stood in front of a blank canvas. For some reason nothing was coming to her. It is frusterating. A showcase was soon and she had barely any new work to show. Throwing her pencil across the room she cursed herself. "Damn it!" Running her slenders hands threw her long straight fire red hair. Pressure was building up and it wasnt helping the situation any.
Just then her friend Sam walked in.
"Hey Kira." Sam had a sympathy written all over her face. Sam had jet black hair as long and straight as Kiras. Her complextion was pale no matter how long she stayed in the sun. Unlike Kira who stayed tan due to her Irish heritage. Big round crystal blue yes that could bear right threw one's soul. Kira loved her eyes, wished hers where like that. Kiras were gray. An usuall color. Not a blue gray just purr smoke grey. No one knows where she got them from. None have seen any like them before.
" Sam, dont look at me that way. I dont want sympathy from anyone. It will come to me and when it does I wont stop working. You know how i get sometimes. I cant do anything and then all of a sudden a get hit will hit me and I will paint for days and have work pilled up every where. " Aggervastion flooded over her. Sams expression didnt change.
" I know Kira. Maybe you should get out and get some fresh air. It will do you some good to take a walk with me." Sam reached for her hand to puller her out.
"I do get air, every mornign on the way to the gym." Kira grummled back.
"That is not what I mean and you know it, now come on." Sam pulled her out the door.
"Alright Sam. Lets take a walk them and maybe I will get some inmsoreation from it." she didnt smile and seldomed did. It wasnt her personality to be happy and cheerful all the time. It wasnt something that came natural to her. Twisting her long read hair and pulling it to one shoulder she walked side by side with Sam.
"What do you think it the cause of the blockage this time?" Sam asked. Her eyes shined in the moonlight.
"I dont know. It might be the stress of the showcase. It gets bigger every year." Kira sighed when saying that. She might need to hire more help.It isnt that she cant afford it, its that she likes to do it all herself. That way she knows it is right. But she might have to give in this year and the years to follow.
Kira looked up at the sky. She mised Ireland. On the highlands you could see every star that there was. Here not one showed. Only the moon was visable. His made to grieve for the home she left long ago. She looked back at Sam and gave her a fake grin.
"Dont do that Kira, " Sam said flatly.
Arching an eyebrow, "Do what?" Kira asked.
" That fake smile. You wont fool me. I know you better than yourself. Dont put on a show of happiness when you feel like your head is about to explode."
Kira let the smile fall. Sam was right. There is no use trying to pretend to be happy.
They walked a few blocks in silence. Kira looked around studing everything she saw. Trying to get some insperation out of it, but none came. They walked past a club with a sign that showed the Haven. Kira just glanced and was going to keep going bit sam stopped her.
"Lets go in here." she tried to lead Kira in but she stopped her.
"Umm let me think.....No" Kira shot back and tried to keep walking but yet again Sam stopped her.
"Come on Kira. Why not. You need to lossen up sometime. Maybe something in here can give you an idea." Just then to handsome men walked and looked at her and Sam.
"Why not? Because I dont think going into a dark gothic club reaking of smoke and alcohol is going to give me any insperation at all."
"Kira come on," then she wispered, "Didnt you see those guys. " then loud agina after Kira looked at her with a outof the qusestion face.
"Kira either you are coming in with me or I am going in alone."
Kira let a a loud sigh." Alright fin, but we arent staying for to long. I need to get to the studio."
They walked into the club tryin to weave in and out od people. Sweaty bodies kept brushing against her. Disgusting was all Kira thought. Passing two men that where far more handsome than anyone she had ever seen, but quickly adverted her eyes. She wasnt one to fret or get cught looking at anyone person in aprticular. They sat down at a table. The two men approached her and Sam. Sam flirted way to obviously at them. One of them sat next to her and smiled.
"So whats your name?" he asked her.
Kira rolled her eyes and got up to go to the bar. Standing at the bar she asked for water. The bartender looked at her a laughted and shook his head and gave it to her. She tooka big gulp just as the guy from earlier came to follow her.
"Look I'm not interested" she barked at him.
He put a hand to her face and rubbed the back of it against he cheek.
"Your just so beautiful it is hard to resist."
Kira slapped his hand from her face.
"I said I am not interested." she said a little louder and harsher than before.
He made a disgruntled face and left her shaking his head. She turned back to the bar And took another drink, then she noticed an exsquisite piece of art work on the wall from the rim of her glass. She set down her glass and moved down the bar to get a closer look. She loved it. It reaked of emotion and darnkness. One could see what they thought was dark creatures in the tress, but if you really looked at it, it was nothing but shadows. Woundeful was all she thought.

((ooc; I added something to her bio. I forgot to add that she doesnt drink or do drugs and is in great shape. She is also a virgin because she likes to think of herself as pure.))

Andre, Valerian and Kira

"Indeed I do." Valerian replied. Andre frowned again. It hurt him to think that his friend would be so stupid as to break the masquerade. " I know she is not of my clan, but I am still sorry for her behaviour." Andre said, his voice the quiet whisper of summer wind. "I wonder where-" He stopped mid sentence, focusing his gaze on the beautiful, redhaired woman at the bar. She gazed in fascination at Valerian's painting. " Excuse me a moment." Andre purred, gliding slowely over to her. The woman continued to stare at the painting in wonderment. " it's horrifyingly alluring isn't it?" He whispered, standing near to her with his hand clasped behind his back.

Kira was abosolutely fasinated with the painting. Mezmerized by the brush strokes. This is something that she owuld put in her gallery. It is darker than her usuall taste, but it was a piece she coodnt pass up.She had to meet the artist.

" it's horrifyingly alluring isn't it?" a Man whispered, standing near to her with his hand clasped behind his back.

Kira jumped with the words. She hadnt noticed anyone comig near her. His voice was a purr in her ear. An alluring voice, one that seemed to sink to the bones of the person to whom he was talking.
She turned to look at him and was captured by him. His eyes sunk to her soul. He was one of then men that she saw talking earlier and adeverted her eyes away. Hoe odd he had come to talk to her.

"Yes it is. It is a wounedrous piece of art. The artist has a beautiful way of blending color and shapes. This painting speaks out to one with even no knowledge of art." Her eyes went in awe as she turned to study the painting agian. She just couldnt keep her eyes off the painting or was it she just didnt want to look at the fasinating man beside her.

PennyTheCorgi 19th Oct 2007 10:43 PM

The woman flinched slightly as he spoke and Andre's lip twitched in the ghost of a smile. She had deep grey eyes like pools of smoke. An odd color but none the less very appealing. "Yes it is. It is a wounderous piece of art. The artist has a beautiful way of blending color and shapes. This painting speaks out to one with even no knowledge of art." The young woman said, turning back to stare at the painting again. Her gaze hungrily flitted over the painting taking in even the smallest details. " You are an artist, are you not?" Andre inquired curiously, as only an artist could truly appreciate the painting as fully as it's creator did.

innoscenteyes 19th Oct 2007 10:53 PM

" You are an artist, are you not?" the man asked.
He has a deep look of interest on his face. The way he looked at her eyes was intriging. They were and odd color. Many people reacted that way. So Kira was use to it. She turned to him again.

"Yes I am." Kira replied with a proudnest that echoed in her irish accent. "My name is Kira Mccree. I own a gallery not to far from here."
She woundered if he was. He didnt look the type. Most artists of any kind of passion for it had it radiate off of them. You could see it in there eyes. The way they held there body. They way they looked at you studing every detail, making it etched to memory.

"And you are?"

PennyTheCorgi 19th Oct 2007 11:06 PM

"Yes I am." Kira replied with a proudnest that echoed in her irish accent. "My name is Kira Mccree. I own a gallery not to far from here." The woman said proudly. She eyed him curiously for a moment. "And you are?" This time Andre did smile, being careful not to show the sharp points of his pearly fangs. " I am Andre DeLucian." He said. " I am unfortunately not an artist as I never had the talent for it, I am however an avid admirer." He unclasped his hands from behind his back to gesture towards Kira. I would much love to see some of your work sometime, perhaps some other time I will stop by your gallery. As for now, I must leave. I have other engagements that require my attention." He strode towards Valerian, who turned out to be otherwise engaged with a young Tremere. Making a mental note to apologise to Valerian for his sudden exit, Andre headed out into the chill night air in search of Ada.

Aella : The Arcade

Aella pushed open the door to the arcade. While this was not a place she usually frequented, inspiration could come from the most unlikely subjects. She buttoned her charcoal jacket over her turquoise t-shirt as she gazed around the arcade.

Aella's lime-colored eyes took in the flashing lights and colorful displays as her ears were assaulted by shouts of triumph and moans of defeat.

She tucked a lone strand of hair, that she must have missed when putting her hair up, behind her small ear as she scanned the patrons. The flashing lights danced across her pale skin and ruby lips as she walked around, watching the patrons and nonchalauntly studying them.

One man particularly intrigued her. He had shoulder-length straight blonde hair and a pair of the most amazing green eyes that Aella had ever seen. He seemed confident, maybe even a little cocky. For some reason, Aella was drawn by him.

Perhaps, Aella thought, this is my twist. Maybe I should throw a character like this cocky guy into the mix.

Aella took control of a pinball machine within seeing distance of the man. She inserted one of her quarters into the tiny slot and was assaulted by an onslaught of lights and sounds. The tiny metallic ball fell and fell. Aella's lime eyes watched the blonde man. The ball fell past the flippers and Aella lost the game of pinball, which set off the noises of defeat. Aella was snapped out of her trance.

As if a miracle had happened, Aella felt a weight lift off her shoulders. She now had what she needed for her story. She had that little something. Aella smiled as she inserted another quarter into the machine. . . . .

Valerian & Andre, and eventually Gemma

Andre was far from pleased to hear Valerian's reply. It was written on his face as he frowned slightly. Still, it seemed he was not one of the hotheads that tended to shoot the messenger, and of that, Valerian was thankful.

"I know she is not of my clan, but I am still sorry for her behaviour," Andre said in a hushed voice. "I wonder where..."

He didn't finish his sentence, and it seemed something had caught his attention. Valerian followed his gaze, somewhat surprised that a Ventrue would loose his train of thought like that. As he turned, he saw a young beautiful redhead gazing up at the very painting he had just had put up on the wall behind the bar. Apparently, this young lady was what had caught Andre's eye.

"Excuse me a moment", Andre said, and without giving Valerian a chance to reply, he left, seemingly in order to go flirt with the redhead.

Valerian's eyebrows drifted upwards in even bigger surprise. Andre stopped mid sentence and then just blew Valerian off? To go hit on a mortal woman? My, my, it seemed being rude towards the host was fast becoming a trend. From a Tremere, it was surprising, but not mind boggling. From a Ventrue, however...
The young Toreador shook his head. Here he'd been thinking he was easily distracted, and then Andre couldn't even take the time to finish a simple sentence. What a snob. As soon as he had gotten what he wanted from Valerian, he threw him away like yesterday's news.
Well, alright then. That would teach Valerian not to go out of his way to satisfy that man's curiousity again.

Sighing to himself, he turned. Only to have his face light up a bit when he remembered seeing Gemma over by the bar. Now was the perfect opportunity to go talk to her. Because, Valerian very much doubted the "moment" part of Andre's so-called excuse.
He started moving slowly back towards the bar, his eyes searching for Gemma. Once they locked on her, his stride became more resolute, and he soon slid into the empty space next to her seat.

"Ah, I see you've once again decided to honor me with your presence", he said, his lips curved into a smile that made it no secret how pleased he was to see her there.

As for now, I must leave. I have other engagements that require my attention."

Kira nodded her head and waited in approvement and watched him walk away. She turned to head back to the painting. It was a beautiful piece. Everytime she looked at it someother secret was revieled. She sat on the stool and order another water. Just then tha annoying man came back to sit by her once again.
She turned to him annoyingly.
"Before you embarrass yourself any further, I would tell you once again I am not looking for anyone to take home to for anyone to take me home. I am simply here because I was dragged. I am not interested in you in any way. So leave before you really say something to sound even more stupid to me." She looked at him with cool eyes. He blinked looking shocked and waked away. Sarah drove to the drugstore, nearly in tears. Her parents had left her on somebody's doorstep. She didn't have anybody but Bee and maybe some friends back at school. the car screeched as she pulled up infront of the drugstore.

Gemma and Valerian : The Bar at The Haven

While sitting at the bar, Gemma became entranced by the masterpiece once more. She wanted to know the meaning behind this painting. She could tell that it had a rich story, maybe one even deeply embedded in symbolism. She fawned over the painting as if she herself were a Toreador.

A smile graced Gemma's pale pink lips as she saw the figure of Valerian approaching her perch at the bar. He seemed to radiate a warmth and welcoming that just made Gemma happy. Valerian was almost like a mild drug which had almost no bad side effects, except maybe slight drooling. Gemma silently fawned over Valerian as he drew nearer, and eventually slid himself in the seat next to her.

"Ah, I see you've once again decided to honor me with your presence", Valerian said to Gemma. A smile graced his lips that made Gemma's smile become even wider - she even slightly showed her teeth.

"Oh, no, Valerian. The honor is all mine. Believe me. I mean, how could I stay away?" Gemma replied as smoothly as she could. Strangely, it was hard for Gemma to keep her voice at one level around Valerian, but she did quite well this time around.

"I do hope that you do not take Ada's behavior as a sign of disrespect from all Tremere. Some of us are positively enchanted by you," Gemma added, tilting her head to the left and slightly pursing her lips.

Valerian was in the perfect position for Gemma to look at him and the painting at about the same time. As Gemma studied them both, she could just see Valerian poring over the masterpiece, putting his heart and soul into this wonderful piece of work. She felt a stab of pain, realizing that she had no real artistic talent, she felt something like an empty void inside of her as she imagined Valerian and his love for painting. To be able to create something so. . . . beautiful, was just amazing. Gemma turned her full attention to Valerian, a soft expression on her face.

AtropaMandragora 20th Oct 2007 4:02 AM

Valerian & Gemma

Even before Valerian reached his destination, a smile had made it's way onto Gemma's luscious lips. It seemed she had seen him coming, and didn't mind the interruption. Quite the contrary. She welcomed him with a widening smile, and the look in those pools of steely blue truely warmed his heart. She seemed almost as delighted to see him as he was to see her.

"Oh, no, Valerian", she said, his name flowing from her lips in a way that to him sounded much like a compliment. "The honor is all mine. Believe me. I mean, how could I stay away?"

Another smile spread across Valerian's face. Was she referring to the Haven, or to Valerian himself? If she meant the Haven, she had already discovered the way to his heart. He so cherished his own little corner of Los Angeles, and complimenting it would immediately put you on good terms with him. As long as the compliment was earnest in it's nature. Valerian could recognize empty flattery when he heard it.
But if Gemma was referring to Valerian himself, well then... Then his night had all of a sudden become alot more interesting. Not that it had been boring before - with his tendency to find an allure in mostly anything, it never was - but her admitting a fascination with him would be something in a league of it's own.
Valerian could only hope. Usually he was exceptionally skilled at reading people, but with the Tremere, he knew better than to try. Experience had taught him that with this elusive clan, things were rarely what they seemd. Although he couldn't think of a reason for Gemma to decieve him, unless she was simply using him as a guniea pig to try out her charms. But even if that was the case, he wouldn't mind. He quite enjoyed her company already, and he had only spoken but a few words to her.

"I do hope that you do not take Ada's behavior as a sign of disrespect from all Tremere", Gemma continued. "Some of us are positively enchanted by you."

Ah. She was gracious enough to put him out of his misery of wondering just what she had meant. Valerian couldn't help but chuckle. She was such a breath of fresh air, allowing him the knowledge that she took pleasure in his company as well. Usually such things had to be bargained for, through an endless exchange of hints and innuendos, trying to say just enough but never too much.

"I cannot tell you how delighted I am to hear you say that", he replied, an almost coy smile playing in the corner of his mouth as his eyes locked with her dangerously sultry ones. "And I must confess, some of you tend to leave me quite mesmerized."

It was true. Right this very moment he was starting to loose himself in her intriguing eyes. Luckily for him, Gemma herself broke off the spell by briefly shifting her gaze to the painting behind him, and Valerian turned his head to look as well. But his gaze soon found it's way back to her.

"Do you like it?" he inquired. "It's a little different from the other pieces I've had up."

Gemma with Valerian : The Haven

"I cannot tell you how delighted I am to hear you say that", he replied, an almost coy smile playing in the corner of his mouth as his eyes locked with her dangerously sultry ones. "And I must confess, some of you tend to leave me quite mesmerized."

Gemma's lip twitched into a smile as her breath became slightly shallower. She gazed past Valerian to his masterpiece once more. Hanging there in all of it's glory it looked as magnificent and mysterious as ever.

"Do you like it?" Valerian inquired. "It's a little different from the other pieces I've had up."

Gemma directed her gaze from the masterpiece. She stared deep into Valerian's enchanting eyes as she replied, "It is magnificent. . . . I am truly and genuinely in awe of it."

She moved forward slightly in her seat so that she was a little closer to Valerian. She looked in his eyes and saw warmth and kindness, and felt her small crush growing. Her instincts told her to stomp out her feelings, to bury them deep inside. They told her that this was just Valerian's job - to be nice to the patrons and make everyone, especially the women, feel welcome. She didn't mind if he was just being polite though, she just wanted to feel connected to someone, even if they didn't feel as connected to her.

Gemma's gaze searched for Valerian's as she asked a personal question of him, "If you don't mind me asking; what is your inspiration to create such beautiful art? What do you think of when painting?"

She lightly bit her lip as she waited for Valerian's reply, sitting on the edge of her chair. Did Toreador even need inspiration to make something so beautiful? Or did it come effortlessly? Surely you must think of something or someone to make something so moving. . . .

Sarah and Bee ~ drugstore

Tears ran down Sarah's cheeks. "I got in another fight with my friend. it was the last straw." She waited for a moment. "Thanks for being here for me." Sarah smiled. There was a light breeze which blew their hair. "Lets go home." Sarah followed Bee back to her house. Two beeps went off on Sarah's car. Then her phone rang, blasting the same Paramore out the tiny speakers. "Sarah here."
"Do you even know this friend?" Olivia asked annoyingly
"Why the hell are you calling back?"
"Because I want to work it out."
"Well it's over Olivia. That was the final straw."
"Sarah you are such a bit*h."
"Goodbye Olivia." *click*
"Ugh I hate her."

Jess parked her car alongside the building. The doorman let her in and went up many floors before she reached the penthouse. the elevators opened, showing a dazzling hallway. Every table had a decoration on it. Big, expensive couches sat against the walls, and his secretary sat at a desk.
"Is it alright to go in?" she asked the secretary.

"I got in another fight with my friend. it was the last straw." Bee didnt say anything. Letting Sarah say whatever she wanted.
"Thanks for being here for me." Sarah smiled. Bee smiled back at her. She figured queastions would be asked later. Right now it wasnt a good time. "Lets go home." They where walking to Bees haven. Bee suddently got stiff. Why was she caller her haven home. How long was she planning on staying there? Just whe Bee was about to ask Sarahs phone rang.
She listened to thier conversation. Seeing Sarahs face was hurt and anger. Bee got some clothes and pout them in the bathroom. She came out and Sarah had gotten off the phone with an "Ugh I hate her." and looking even worse than before.
" A friend huh? It sounds more like yall were an item." Bee leaned against the wall.
"Well I am going to get in the shower real quick. You can look around. I just feel disgusting and need one. If you wanna change into something to sleep in they are in there." She pointed to the bottom drawer of a dresser. She pushed a piece of hair from Sarahs eye, looking into them and said warmly, " I am sure everything is going to be fine."

Clan: Torreador

Name: Carissa Vesilli

Age: Elder - 519 years - bitten at 17

Disciplines:
Auspex-5
Celerity-3
Presence-4

Short bio:
Carissa was born in England in 1471 in a small peasant village. Her parents raised her until the age of four, when they both died, sucumbed with the black plague. Carissa was put under the care of her aunt, who worked as a servant for a local nobleman.

During the times when her aunt was away working, Carissa occupied herself with painting. It was what she loved, and she hoped to make a living out of it. She sold her work for some extra money for her and her aunt. Her work caught the eye of a Torreador, who immediatly longed to embrace her.

It was as seventeen-year-old Carissa she was walking home from running a quick errand that she ran into the vampire. She greeted him, and they befriended in the brief few moments they spent together on the deserted street. Yet she didnt see him again until several days later, he had approached her from behind, and bit her.

Carissa entered the life of the undead in 1488, but she did not openly welcome it, she despised the fact that she had been transformed against her will. Regardless, she stayed by her sire's side for several years.

Slowly, Carissa grew accustomed to life as a vampire. By is was no longer the confused, angry girl she was when she was first embraced. Over the past few centries she has transformed in many ways, if she needs to she can take the form of a manipulative, deceitful, highly indepentent individual, though in general she is a sweet tempered kind girl and a loyal friend.

Carissa remained in London for several years, later on traveling across Europe before making her way to the states, and eventually Los Angelos where she resided up until twenty years ago, when she left, and is now returning.

Zillah approaching Aella - The Arcade

The disarming smile danced across Zillah's lips as he straightened himself fully. Eyes darting across the room to locate the source of the heat of attention he'd felt across his back which crawled to caress the short hairs on the nape of his neck. His own paranoia of getting caught for a little trickary making him alert and wary. Security he would pay off with a flash of charm and some forged notes, but sometimes the attention he drew caused trouble, a rival gang or a punk with a deathwish that thought it'd be smart to attempt to do him over for the cash he so blazenly flaunted.

A young woman wearing a charcoal jacket caught his attention. His eyes trawled over her beautiful cascade of rich red hair which seemed to struggle to be free of the tie that bound it. Forming a wicked smile to streak across his cupid mouth, now that was the kind of attention he loved. A beautiful woman, all alone.

Zillah's long black leather jacket parted as he stalked across the room towards her revealing a flash of crimson pinstripe, bondage straps that hung low threatening to snare around any unsuspecting object and trap their wearer. A slim fitting V-neck jumper hugged his body the dark smokey wool a stark contrast to the long pale neck which was hung with a single thick silver chain.

Once he reached level with the pinball machine he stopped. His body languidly learning against it, arms folding over his chest in air of nochalence, but his eyes twinkled with mischeif. "Something caught your attention?" Zillah asked brazenly. One eyebrow quirking upwards as he looked into her orbs of tropical lime.

Damian & Mina - penthouse office / Valerian & Gemma - The Haven

(((ooc: XsnowdropX - You're part of the clan the moment you're Embraced. The clan is in the blood, meaning, once you're Embraced by a Toreador, you're a Toreador. No going back, no changing it. You're a Toreador for the rest of your unnatural life. Think of it as ethnicity, if you will. If you're born caucasian, there's no changing it.
And the Sire would stick around to show you the ropes, answer your questions, and just plain introduce you to unlife.

Oh, and, WELCOME! )))

When the doors opened and Mina entered, Damian was standing over by the large window behind his desk, looking out at all the cars and neon lights far, far below, lost in deep thought. He was still fuming over what he had just been told by his first visitor. Didn't he have enough to deal with already, without some Malkavian loon running around and endangering the Masquerade by killing people in the street, like some crazed thug on a bad trip? Now the Prince had to clean up the mess. The Prince always had to clean up the mess. "Leave it to the Ventrue". That seemed to be the Kindred motto. Granted, the Ventrue did have an exceptional talent for tying up loose ends and do what had to be done, and being the born leaders they were, they didn't really mind. It was simply the natural world order, that the strongest and most enlightened clan would take the other clans under their wing to guide them like a stern but loving parent.
But wouldn't it be nice to just once have the other Kindred take a little responsibility? Was that too much to ask?

The faint noise of Mina's footsteps brought him out of his thoughts, and he turned to see her approach, her stride confident and strong, yet strikingly feminine. Regal, was perhaps the best word to describe it.
Such a shame the Tremere clan had claimed her. She would've made a fine Ventrue.
He watched in silence as she bowed her head respectfully, and then looked up to meet his gaze. Always the polite and proper subject, she didn't speak, nor sit, without him asking her to.
Just like he'd done with Beyonca, Damian allowed the complete and almost deafening silence to settle in the room, mostly for effect but also in order to choose his words.

"I appreciate your prompt appearance", he started, and motioned for her to take a seat, if that was what she'd prefer to do.

He himself, however, remained standing. Back and shoulders straight, hands behind his back, head held high.

"The swiftness with which you tend to carry out my wishes has not gone unnoticed", he added, as an indirect way of saying that she had indeed earned his favour, and continued, while slowly pacing the area infront of the window. "Now, the other Primogen will be here shortly as I have called for a council meeting as soon as we are done here, so let's not dawdle. There are two matters of which I wish to speak with you."

Stopping again, he looked at Mina. The intense, thoughtful look in his eyes revealed to her that he was considering which matter to address first. Although it wasn't really much to consider. The Prince always addressed the smallest issues first, in order to resolve them and then be done with them, before taking on matters of greater importance.

"I've learned there was a minor incident during the mission I sent you on with the Brujah Primogen", he said, looking as though he tried to remember something. "Cade, is that his name? Well, no matter."

Now, Damian knew bloody well that was his name, but it never hurt to remind his subjects of their proper place. Especially the insolent Brujah.

(((ooc: Elektra - Jess will be told to wait, as Damian is currently in a private meeting with Mina.)))

Valerian watched as Gemma's gaze once again drifted to the work of art behind him, but unlike last time, he kept his locked on her, to study her face for any hint of what she was thinking. He thought he'd caught a glimpse of pain, or maybe sadness a few seconds ago, and was curious to know what it was that had made her feel that way. He'd sensed a melancholy in her from the very start, hidden, buried underneath layers of other feelings and experiences. But this had been different. Although fleeting, it had been an undisguised look of candid regret.
But it was now gone. In it's place was a look of softness, with a dash of admiration. It seemed the painting did indeed appeal to her.

"It is magnificent...", she said slowly, and turned her steely crystalline orbs back to meet with his. "I am truly and genuinely in awe of it."

She then leaned a little closer to him, as though she was making sure she had his full attention. The air pushed forward by the motion brought with it a whiff of her perfume, and the scent instantly caught in Valerian's nose. It was a fragrance as sensual as the eyes glancing up at him from under her thick charcoal lashes. So rich and musky, almost reminding him of spices from the Orient. Positively thrilling.

"If you don't mind me asking", she said, when all he could bring himself to offer in response to her comment regarding his painting was a small but cordial nod. "What is your inspiration to create such beautiful art? What do you think of when painting?"

If he minded? She had just invited him to talk about his passion, his very essence. He was delighted! It seemed she really did know the way to his heart, first commenting on his club, and then asking him to talk about his art. after complimenting it. He adored her for it. He could've kissed her feet.
Among other things...

"Oh, I don't mind", he said, his eyes glowing with enthusiasm. "But I can't say where it comes from. I do not know. It's just always there. It's always been there. Words and images and music flowing through me, sometimes so overwhelming I think I'll go mad if I don't let it out."

He stopped himself, realizing he must sound much like a child giddy with excitement over a new toy, and he couldn't help but break into a bashful smile.

"And I...", he started again once he'd managed to regain his usual suave composure. "Truth be told, I don't think. As cheesy as it sounds, I don't. I just feel. When I paint, my mind is overflowing with the image in my head that there is no room for proper thoughts..."

As he looked up at her again, finding her still gazing at him, his voice trailed off into nothingness. Those bewitching eyes of hers seemed to suck all the words right out of him.
A few moments drifted by, with him only staring at her, until suddenly he realized what he was doing, and gave a light chuckle.

"Why, my lady, I do believe you really are putting a spell on me."

Carissa strolled lazily through the dark moonlit streets, she was just returning to Los Angeles, having left a few years ago out of boredom.

She sighed, tilting her head back a little and ran a hand through her raven black hair. The street she was on was quiet, her footsteps were magnified by the echo that bounced off the surrounding buildings. A car sped by, the driver obvously intoxicated. Overhead somewhere Carissa could hear the steady pulsing of a helicopter's rotors. In the distance she would hear the music of a nightclub. A smile immediatly curled across her lips, sounded like somekind of nightclub nearby. She immediatly knew where her first stop would be.

Her mood lifted as the club came into view. The Haven. Carissa approached, pulling a hand from the pockets of her black sweater and waved at one of the guards as she passed by, entering the club. Her eyes immediatly swept the area, looked fun.

She strolled toward the bar, deciding she would walk around and socialize later. For now she wanted to sit.

((. Hope its alright, anyone can feel free to approach her))

Mina and the Prince - his Office

Patiently Mina waited out his silence her eyes studying the vampire before her. The most powerful one in the city, Daminan was proud, aristocratic and confident, traits that always engaged her attention. The way he commanded the stillness of the room was most magnificant. Had she still been human her heart would have skipped a beat, a flush of colour run through her cheeks and a wise smile spread from her ruby mouth to her emerald eyes. But those days were long behind her, now the only detectable signs that he affected her presence was the slightest warming of the eyes and smile as they fell upon him.

"I appreciate your prompt appearance", he started, and motioned for her to take a seat but remained standing himself in a regal manner.

Mina's eyes flowed over to the seat but she made no move to accept it. Her posture remained elegant hands folded one over the other, relaxed yet alert. Her poise as still and contained as her thoughts.

"The swiftness with which you tend to carry out my wishes has not gone unnoticed", he added, as he slowly paced the area infront of the window. "Now, the other Primogen will be here shortly as I have called for a council meeting as soon as we are done here, so let's not dawdle. There are two matters of which I wish to speak with you."

Inwardly Mina smiled, her prompt arrival had been one of respect and he appeared to accept it as such. She did not drop her plans and cross the city for just anyone's whims but for Damian she made an acception. But the news of another council meeting so soon came as a suprise. Was it meerly a formality to introduce the new Primogen or was yet more trouble a foot in the city? She gracefuly inclinded her head in a slow thoughtful nod indicating she understood. Time was precious to them all.

Stopping again, he looked at Mina. The intense, thoughtful look in his eyes revealed to her that he was considering which matter to address first. "I've learned there was a minor incident during the mission I sent you on with the Brujah Primogen", he said, looking as though he tried to remember something. "Cade, is that his name? Well, no matter."

At the mention of Cade's name Mina's eyes narrowed slightly hardening into slithers of glass. So he had learned of Cade's disrespect. She did not know what the Nosferatu might have devulged regarding the incident. But did he think they'd all come running, telling tales on one another in a hope to gain some favour? No, he was wiser than that, or he would have a bunch of children as his Primogen not a group of elders.

Mina's
intense dislike of the Brujah was however only evident in her eyes as her mouth formed into a thin thoughtful smile. "The Brujah are sometimes a little loose with their manners," Mina sighed, her tone neutral. "And sometimes they forget to think before they speak, or take into consideration just who they are speaking to."

She shrugged indicating that although Cade offended her she would neither commit herself to an attack via the Prince or defend his nature. Cade's taunting words, ringing through her head, but she would not lower herself to his level and speak in spite.

Sarah @ Bee's house

Bee walked into the bathroom, and Sarah heard the shower turn on. She opened the bottom drawer of the dresser lookign for PJs. They were all neatly placed, and she didn't want to mess them up. Looking for the least expensive pair, she gingerly took them out . A pair of fleece pajamas sat near the bottom of the drawer. Sarah didn't want to intrude, so she chose those and put the others back. They were kinda cozy. Then she bagan to look for a pillow. There were a few on the couch , so she took the largest and placed the others neatly on the table.

((Tell me about it. We had to do our fundraiser, the Jog a thon yesterday during a horrible downpour. I was soaked ))

Bee and Sarah

The shower felt good to Bee. It was much needed. The alcohol in Mathews blood still ached in her body and she felt a little quisey. She thought maybe it was better to throw it up and then go find someone else to feed on. She needed something fresh to eat. But how was she going to accomplish this with Sarah here. Bee wasnt all that hunger but felt weak from the tainted blood.
Turning off the sower she put on some clean clothes and walked out. She has on a sun dress that went to her knees. The color was blood red with black vines on it. She has seen Sarah on the couch wear some of her flannel.
Bee moved to the couch and sat down next to her.
"So you want to tell me how all this started or do you not want to talk about it?"
Bee had to admit she was curioius. A girl she had just met this night but for some reason became instant friends with was on her couch staying at her place. And Bee had no idea when she was leaving. It came to a compliated mix. The queasyness started to increase a little but it wasnt enough for her to actually throw up the blood. She actually hoped she would, just to get over the buzz and sickness from it. The only bad part, she had to make an excuse to Sarah as why she had to leave so she could feed. She at and waited for Sarah response to her question. Looking at her curiously.

Damian & Mina - penthouse office

Damian watched Mina closely for a reaction, yet without making a show of it. She was most likely aware of it, but why be obvious?
In the same way, he didn't expect any distinct signs of thoughts or feelings on her part, as he'd come to know her as shrewd and calculating leader in total control of herself and her facial expressions. The pokerface she held was very much in league with his own. In fact, it probably exceeded his. But that was something he'd never admit to, and it only made him try harder to mold his own into perfection.
However, she sometimes allowed him what he took to be a brief glimpse of what was going on in her mind. Never enough for him to know anything for sure, but rather a small appetizer to set his own imagination in motion.
Like now. The slight twitch of her spellbinding eyes as they narrowed ever so slightly, confirmed to him that all was indeed not well between her and the Brujah. Now to see if she would be as diplomatic as Esther, or if she'd confide in him what had really happened. He knew what he was expecting, but one could never know for certain.

"The Brujah are sometimes a little loose with their manners," she said with a small sigh. "And sometimes they forget to think before they speak, or take into consideration just who they are speaking to."

Diplomatic, and offering him nothing he didn't already know. Damian was far from surprised, but convinced that there was more to the story than that. Otherwise it wouldn't even have been worth the mention from Esther.
But then again, had it been something for him to be concerned about, he trusted that Mina's hints wouldn't have been quite that vague.
She was his most trusted Primogen. And at the same time, his biggest threat. If anyone in this city was likely to succeed in overthrowing him, it would be Mina.
But he'd never had any reason to doubt her loyalty. And that was the only reason why he let the subject drop by giving a small nod.
Instead, he focused on the next. Ada, and her anticts at The Haven.

"I'm also told there are members of your clan who would do wisely to learn some manners, and to respect our laws."

He fixed his gaze on her, raising an eyebrow, and slid an adorned hand over his high back office chair as he passed behind it once again, the signet ring of solid gold on his finger flashing as it caught in the lighting of the spacious office.

"The Masquerade is our only protection against the humans and their inability to accept things they cannot comprehend", he continued firmly, anger and his passion for the Camarillan beliefs becoming more and more evident in his voice as he spoke. "Each Kindred within my domain has by entering it agreed to honor the responsibility bestowed on them, and to abide by our laws."

He stopped, and slammed his fist down hard on the smooth, polished surface of his desk.

"I will not tolerate them being broken!"

(((ooc: ATTENTION! There's less than 24 hours for the rest of the Primogen to arrive at Damian's office. (except Mina and Jessica, who are already there) )))

Mina and the Prince - his Office

"I'm also told there are members of your clan who would do wisely to learn some manners, and to respect our laws."

Mina nodded once confirming that it was indeed true. What was the point in denying the facts. The slight smile dissipating from her lips. The ice in her eyes gaining intensity as she fought her own anger towards Ada. Yet she met his eyes cooly, it was her job to accept responsibility for her clan.

"The Masquerade is our only protection against the humans and their inability to accept things they cannot comprehend", he continued firmly, anger and his passion for the Camarillan beliefs becoming more and more evident in his voice as he spoke. "Each Kindred within my domain has by entering it agreed to honor the responsibility bestowed on them, and to abide by our laws." He stopped, and slammed his fist down hard on his desk. "I will not tolerate them being broken!"

As his fist hit the table Mina blinked once but her face still displayed no emotion. She shared Damian's anger at the breaking of Masquerade laws, and right now would quite willingly boil the woman's blood for the dishonour that she brought firmly onto Mina's shoulders. His forceful demonstration of the passion that fuelled the laws quite understandable.

Mina's voice was cold like the frost of a winter morning. "My Prince, I do not for one second condone Ada's actions. Quite frankly she brings a disgrace upon the Tremere."

Mina shifted her gaze slightly to stare out of the window, aware that perhaps she was being a little too honest. Normally she would side with her clan, defend them to the core but on this matter she could not. The anger swirled within a cold fury which threatened to distort her words, she struggled for one moment as it flickered through her eyes. Reminding herself to stay calm and composed. "I fully intend to make it clear that such a violation is not tolerated."

There was the slightest question beneath her tone as to what the Prince would permit in the situation. Had Mina the power in her hands right now Ada would be banished from the city, or set into the sun for showing such insolence of not coming to her to explain the matter. Where had the respect for your elders gone?

((OOC sorry PennytheCorgi... but Ada's now got one mightly annoyed Mina after her blood but she'll come around eventually))

AtropaMandragora 21st Oct 2007 3:03 AM

Damian & Mina - penthouse office

"My Prince, I do not for one second condone Ada's actions."

Mina's voice was so cool it almost seemed to make the room temperature drop, and the vague smile on her lips was now but a memory. Damian had to admire that about her; her ability to rule the atmosphere of an entire room with nothing more than her tone of voice, or facial expression. Her eyes alone could make a man wish he'd never been born. And at the same time, Damian sensed they could be equally gracious.
Ah, what a powerful ally she made. Imagine if she was entirely by his side...

"Quite frankly she brings a disgrace upon the Tremere."

To that, Damian gave a firm nod. He shared her sentiments. Had it been a Ventrue who had acted so carelessly, he would've run them out of town. Being the Prince, he couldn't afford having members of his own clan tarnishing his reputation.
But the chances of such a thing happening were slim to none. The Ventrue were simply far too refined and cultivated to act on brutish, human instinct.
Which meant Damian's little outburst of anger just now would have to be enough for him to make his point. After all, Mina was not the offender.
Taking a deep breath to calm himself and regain his level-headed composure, he then looked at her, awaiting a response for how she intended to handle the situation. He was pleased to see that she admitted the severity of Ada's crime, instead of trying to defend it. Protecting your own and caring for them was noble, to a point. But Ada had stepped beyond that point.

"I fully intend to make it clear that such a violation is not tolerated."

The hint of a tiny smile darted across Damian's lips. That was exactly what he wanted to hear from her; an intention to sort out the matter herself, instead of leaving it all to him. That was the sense of responsibility he appreciated.

"You have my permission to deal with her in whatever way you see fit", he said, and again motioned for her to sit, as he himself now took his place behind the desk. "But I do not wish to have her killed. She endangered the Masquerade, but thanks to young Valerian, the breach was not complete. My sources tell me he's managed to smooth things over quite nicely. And by doing so, he's saved her hide. Even if he did what he did for his own sake, and not hers. But make sure she's aware that she owes him her life, simply because since the Masquerade was not completely broken, I've decided to spare her. There'll be enough Kindred blood spilt within the next few nights."

As he spoke his final words, he turned his gaze thoughtfully towards one of the many paintings in the room, intentionally ignoring any inquisitive look she might try to send him.
All in due time, Mina. All in due time.

Kira dancing- the haven

Kira looked over at her friend. She was so obvious she was flirting. It sickened Kira. She brought home men left and right. But she couldnt blame the men, she was so beautiful.
Kira looked around the club. She saw nothing that really interested her all that much. For the first time she wished she had gone out more. Maybe she would know what to do. There were the pubs in Ireland, but nothin like this persay. She decided to dance. Nothing let the mind go like that. She got up and headed to the dance floor. She wasnt exactly use to this kind of music. She liked the old music. She felt like it had more emotion in it. Moving her feet and then her hips and eventually the rest of her body she, got the rymthm in her. She thought she was dancing quiet well. She set her mind free. Thinking of nothing. Maybe something would come to her then. She could feel sweaty bodies rubbing against her. She used her senses. What did she feel, smell, taste in her mouth. Nothing but music was moving her body. Her mind shut down and her senses flared.

((ooc: anyone is more than welcome to approach her. ))

Cade - Prince's office

Out of the stifled sounds of crowds talking, loud music vibrating through the walls and seductive whispers being spoken at Cade’s feet, the door knocked abruptly and loudly, stirring a low and raspy grunt from Cade’s lips.
“What!” he half shouted, ogling below him at the beautiful, redheaded woman caressing his leg. The door opened swiftly, and in strode his faithful bodyguard with a stern expression displayed on his face. Cade looked up to him, disappointed that the events soon to follow with the voluptuous guest were likely to be postponed.
“Word is the Prince calls for the Primogen. Tonight, sir.” Cade let out a snicker and stroked the beautiful woman’s locks lovingly with his long fingernails.
“Tell him… I’ll drop by, when I can make it.” The guard stood tolerantly, wavering his focus from the woman to avoid any… arousal on his part.
“I suggest, sir, that after the events of a few nights past, you should answer his call.” Cade snarled. He hated nothing more than being at the beckoned call of the cocky Prince. More importantly, disturbing his beloved playtime. He leaned his head back, rubbed his eyes with frustration and peered back over to the woman, gently pushing her away. The woman giggled momentarily in playful humour, until Cade abruptly clutched onto her neck and stood, the woman following unwillingly.
“Get out. I’m busy.”
“But sir, the-”
“I will see the Prince. I said leave!” The guard stalled momentarily, before doing what was asked of him, closing the door behind. In his grasp the beautiful woman squirmed under his hold. She scraped at his forearms, choking, wheezing, and trying to break free from his grasp. Cade watched her face. His eyes narrowed in delight. He could see in her terrified expression that she had absolutely no idea of his true nature. And the thought excited him. He pursed his lips, and opened his mouth slowly, displaying a set of razor sharp fangs, which glowed forebodingly under the red light of the room. The woman screamed as Cade closed in on her neck, penetrating her smooth skin and draining the blood from her veins. He fed until he was satisfied and slid his fangs back from her neck, before dropping her to the ground. Fun over. He now had to attend to business.

He had leaped into his red Lamborghini and blazed a trail not far over to the Prince’s lot within minutes. Upon slamming the car door shut and looking up at the building to the condo where his office was, Cade could foresee the discussion to come. The questioning of his actions with Mina and Esther from the previous night. How rude it was. How he should be stricken from his title as Brujah Primogen. He was an adversary to the Camarilla, if his belligerent actions continued. As he strode up to the building and flew up the first flight of stairs, he whipped on a pair of sunglasses and laughed. And yet somehow, underneath his rebellious exterior, there was a man always willing to bend to others in higher power. It was his curse. A want for freedom, but a duty to detain the want. For now at least, Cade knew he had to follow orders. He approached the door of the Prince's waiting room and sat.

((ooc: Ah right, I didn't realise that h was having a private meeting so I've changed it to him waiting outside with the others. His bodyguard is human, but he has other guards which are Brujah vampires And thank you for the post by the way, its very helpful.))

Gemma and Valerian : The Haven | Aella and Zillah : The Arcade

Gemma

"Oh, I don't mind", Valerian said, his eyes glowing with enthusiasm. "But I can't say where it comes from. I do not know. It's just always there. It's always been there. Words and images and music flowing through me, sometimes so overwhelming I think I'll go mad if I don't let it out."

Gemma could tell that talking about his passion excited Valerian. His voice was rich with excitement up until the moment when he stopped himself. He smiled bashfully at her, and she adored him for it.

"And I...", he started again once he'd managed to regain his usual suave composure. "Truth be told, I don't think. As cheesy as it sounds, I don't. I just feel. When I paint, my mind is overflowing with the image in my head that there is no room for proper thoughts..."

Gemma gazed at him as he spoke, his words trailing off into nothingness. She tried her best to understand what he was saying about not thinking and feeling, but she didn't fully get it. As a Tremere, she had always thought logically. Maybe this Toreador could teach her to just feel, if that was at all possible. Valerian snapped back into reality as he trailed off. Realizing what he was doing, he gave a light chuckle, which Gemma thought was adorable.

"Why, my lady, I do believe you really are putting a spell on me," Valerian said quietly to Gemma.

She felt so connected to Valerian that she wanted to shout, to tell him how she felt. She let her lips relax, revealing her top row of pearly white teeth. She delicately lifted her hand and placed it on top of Valerian's, wishing she could be so much closer to him.

"Well. . . That makes two of us," She said, tilting her head slightly down while keeping her eyes locked on Valerian, "It must be nice, having a passion like that, not having to think logically."

------
Aella

Oh, wow. He is coming over here. Aella thought as she stared at the approaching man. She couldn't help but be attracted to him. She didn't usually go for the 'bad boy' type, but she was instantly drawn to him.

"Something caught your attention?" he asked brazenly.

"Yeah," She looked him up and down slowly, "Something. . . ."

Aella smiled at the man, her heart rate increasing rapidly. She studied his face for a moment, then deciding she wanted to get to know him replied, "I'm Aella."

She smiled, showing her top row of teeth. Her gaze began searching for the stranger's. . . .

Mina and the Prince - his Office

The hint of a tiny smile darted across Damian's lips. Mina bowed her head slightly, awaiting to hear if her response was satisfactory or if he wished for more details. She was aware that in her anger she had omitted to apologise for Ada's behaviour. But groveling in front of The Prince would have done no good. He was a vampire who respected the same traits which she did. Well thought our words and manners, taking responsibility for your due and commanding power.

"You have my permission to deal with her in whatever way you see fit", he said, and again motioned for her to sit, as he himself now took his place behind the desk

Mina relaxed slightly at his request for her to be seated. Following his strong lead she slid elegantly onto the seat opposite him, her movements fluid as though she was composed of mercury. He was allowing her to deal with her clan member as she wished. It was a respect she appreciated and this brought a touch of warmth to her eyes as she studied him.

She could only admire the way that he kept his head in her presecence. Lesser men had crumpled, unable to take the time needed to judge her reaction, they often pushed the wrong buttons then wondered why she turned against them. A cold knife that would slice them slowly and methodicly apart. But Damian was as careful as her. His words and actions soaked with an authority that commanded her loyalty. It ensured her backing, as long as the outcome did not damage her clan she knew that her alliance would lie firmly with him. But her motives were personal as well as political. An alliance with the prince, naturally affordered her the best position to ensure her clans needs were met. Yet still without the badge the power of self belief which radiated from the man would have drawn her like a moth to the flame.

Mina nodded she understood she would keep the temper firmly locked inside. Ada would not be killed or run out of the city, despite her wishes to the contary. But the woman needed to learn some manners before she could be allowed into polite society again. She only hoped Ada would learn from her actions and bring forth a sincerity of accepting her mistakes with a well thought out apology to all concerned. Still it would be a long time before she would have her trust or favour again.

"Valarian was quite exemplory whatever his motives. His protection of the Masquerade was honourable." Mina commented approval of him evident in her tone. She did not dispell complements lightly, but his actions deserved comment. "Ada will be made very clear on just how much she owes him."

His turned his gaze thoughtfully towards one of the paintings as Mina digested his last words. Kindred blood to be spilt, it was not something one took lightly. Still she would find out the course soon enough, right now she had something more personnal to her which required a little advice.

"My Prince, may I bring another matter to your attention?" Mina asked her voice respectful. She was asking for his help and it was not an easy thing for her to do. "One of my Tremere collegues has been imprissoned by her sire. Normally, I would handle Seath entirely myself, but there are some political sensitivities around the matter." Mina paused to let her words sink in. She was entrusting that Prince must have gathered some of the older male Tremeres were not happy with her holding the Primogen position.

((OOC Jacki the other Primogen are waiting outside, and Cade would be interupting a private meeting if he walked in right now. If you want him to do that I'll happily add it in but I didn't want to plunge Cade into hot water if you didn''t realise :D))

Esther/Ciara

"Ms Rosenburg." A gravelly voice grated Esther's ears. She turned to see one of the Nosferatu neonates standing awfully primly at the entranceway to the "room". Just because the lived below the surface did not mean that they lacked all the niceties the other vampires had. With a sigh Esther turned and faced him. "Please, call me Esther. Nothing has changed that significanly to warant a change and besides, nobody has called me Ms. Rosenburg since..." Esther paused for a moment before rephrasing herself, "Nobody called me Ms. Rosenburg until I got here, Wart. And you certainly don't have to start now."

A smile spread across the Neonate known as Wart's face and he visibly untensed. Well, maybe not visibly to anyone who had not learnt to see past his disfigurations, but visibly enough for Esther to notice. Good. She didn't need the Neonates acting like they had to tread on glass around her.
And without further ado Wart started gabbing on, "Well y'see Esther you've been down here a few days..." Esther nodded, yes - she had a lot of catching up to do and not much time to do it and was reading through what records the Primogen had kept. "... and y'haven't been topside for a while..." She really did wish that he would get to the point. "...and we completely forgots to tell ya, but the reception down in this part here isn't exactly great for peace and quiet and all tha jazz..." Esther bit down on her bottom lip slightly. She could guess that she had missed something thanks to this slight oversight. "...and they tried calling, but couldn't get through and the message has just arrived now."

Esther looked at him waiting for him to continue, but he stood looking at her, apparently waiting for something. She smiled patiently, Wart wasn't the brightest spark, but he was incredibly loyal - although she still struggled to see why he had been embraced in the first place. "Who sent the message Wart, and what is it?"

"Dunno who sent it, but the message is that the Prince demands to see the primerjennys asap..." "What?" Esther interrupted. "Thank you Wart, but I have to dash now." Esther got up and smiled at the Neonate as she walked past and then started sprinting down the network of tunnels. Damnation! She had been expecting a summons like this soon, but the blasted reception... the previous Primogen had had some strange eccentricities. But there was no time to think now, she had to get to the Prince's penthouse as soon as she could taking every shortcut she could think of. She only hoped that the message hadn't been delayed too long.

Somewhat muckier than normal, Esther hurriedly brushed as much off as she could as she made her way in via the least obstusive route she could think of and made her way up to where she knew the Prince's secretary would be waiting and telling people whether to go in or wait outside for a while.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ciara hastily threw the last of her things into her togbag and flung it over her shoulder. The past few days had been busy. Some of her staff had been sick and she had had to pick up their classes, and the auditors had come to check the books. There was nothing she wanted more than to get home and curl up wih a good book, maybe throw some pasta on the stove...

...pasta. Damn it all! She would have to pick up some things from that little corner cafe that (thankfully) stayed open all night. Not a great selection, but at least it was something.

Waving to people as she left, Ciara jogged down the stairs and then started walking briskly home on the dark streets of L.A.

((OoC: Apologies for the absence. Bad things seem to happen in threes to me. But I am back! Anyone who happens to be on the street can feel free to bump into Ciara if they like))

Also, I don't know if Cade's bodyguard is Kindred or human, but I just figured I'd let you know that if he is indeed Kindred, he doesn't have to worry about becoming aroused. Kindred don't get aroused. See post #3. Other than that, I thought your post was excellent. You shouldn't feel out of place. Zilla and Aella

"Yeah," The flamehaired beauty looked him up and down slowly, "Something. . . ."

"I'm Aella." she gave him a smile which Zillah returned with one of his own. His lips forming into a smug magnetic grin, it appeared she liked what she saw. Well who could blame her, he was welll aware that his slightly androgonous features were pleasing on the eye. They set a stark distinction to the masquline danger he cultivated.

"Aella, how beautiful" His head tilted to one side, cockily admiring her slender frame as though the beauty referred to both the name and the woman who owned it.

"Zillah." His own name trickled from his lips like treackle as his jade eyes rose to meet her own. "Are you winning or loosing tonight?"

One hand slid elegantly to gesture towards the pinball machine, where the balls lay forgotten. He placed a coin upon the cool surface of the glass,. The mischeif glintng through his jade orbs as he issued a challenge to Allela. "If you beat my top score, I'll buy you a drink. It's only 10,000 on this one."

Damian & Mina - penthouse office

Mina understood the hint; that Damian shifting his gaze to the irrelevant albeit beautiful painting meant that he had no intention to explain himself further. At least not right not. She most likely knew he would come back to it eventually.

"Valarian was quite exemplory whatever his motives", she said, instead choosing to comment on the matter already being discussed. "His protection of the Masquerade was honourable. Ada will be made very clear on just how much she owes him."

Damian nodded once, resisting the somewhat amused smirk that threatened to spread on his lips and reveal the hint of glee he was feeling. Or schadenfreude, as the Germans would have called it.
From what he'd been told, Ada would be far from thrilled to hear she was in Valerian's debt. She really should be aware of it already, but judging by her behaviour, she didn't seem prone to admit it. Now she would have to, willingly or not.

"My Prince, may I bring another matter to your attention?"

Mina's request came as a minor surprise. And yet it made perfect sense. This would be why it was so easy for her to let go of his words about Kindred blood being spilt. She had her own agenda. And coming from her, who rarely bothered him or asked anything of him, it already piqued his interest.
He graciously motioned for her to speak.

"One of my Tremere collegues has been imprissoned by her sire", she said, her face as skillfully devoid of any emotions on the matter as usual. "Normally, I would handle Seath entirely myself, but there are some political sensitivities around the matter."

Ah, yes. Damian had heard rumours of this Seath and his progeny. Although for the life of him, he couldn't remember her name. Well, that just went on to prove how well the Tremere guarded their secrets. All of them, wether they concerned their vast knowledge of the supernatural, or social matters within the clan.
And he was well aware that there were Tremere Elders who had not taken kindly to Mina being elected Primogen. Some would say it was because she was a woman, and even though the Prince didn't doubt there was some thruth to it, he also knew that behind it all, it was in some cases simple envy rearing it's ugly head. Elders of most clans were very competitive, whereas others didn't seem to care all that much.
But when it came to politics, there were none as similar to the Ventrue as the Tremere. Though whoever would dare to try and overthrow Mina, would have to deal with the Prince. He stood behind her firmly. She was everything he desired of a Primogen, and more. Except, perhaps, a little too tight-lipped at times.

"Am I to understand you wish to set her free?" he asked, his thoughts returning to the matter she had brought up within just a few moments.

A question with a most obvious answer perhaps, but it was a good way to make her elaborate on just what she had in mind.

Aella and Zillah : The Arcade

"Aella, how beautiful" His head tilted to one side, cockily admiring her slender frame as though the beauty referred to both the name and the woman who owned it.

"Thank you," Aella said, noticing the man checking out her body. Her lips twitched into a smile once more as she studied him.

"Zillah." The beauty traded his own name for Aella's. "Are you winning or losing tonight?"

Zillah then raised a pale hand in a gesture towards Aella's forgotten pinball machine. Aella watched intently as he placed a lone coin on the surface of the machine. "If you beat my top score, I'll buy you a drink. It's only 10,000 on this one."

"Well, Zillah," Aella replied, letting his name roll seductively off of her tongue, "I'm not much for playing games, so hows about I just let you buy me a drink."

She playfully fingered the coin laying on the plexiglass as she gazed into Zillah's jade eyes. They seemed to tell a story about him that was just beyond the reach of Aella's comprehension. As she stared into his eyes, she got the feeling that he was wiser than he let on. That he had a lot of experience under his belt. This intrigued Aella even more. . .

Mina and the Prince - his Office

"Am I to understand you wish to set her free?" Damian asked.

"Indeed." Mina nodded. Before deciding to expand on the situation. It was only fair he understood the situation, despite it being a matter of Tremere affairs. "The matter is complicated. Carmilla is a well respected lady within the circle. Her excellent qualities naturally encompass a respect for Seath as her sire." A hint of a scowl tainted the complacent mask of Mina's face, she certainly did not share the respect for Seath. "However, I have received word that she has now seen the error of his ways and he is locking her away against her will." The disgust was now clearly evident in her voice, this was a matter she felt most strongly about. Sire's were often restrictive but holding a vampire against her will was a violation of her rights.

"I would wish for the authority to demand that Seath release her, and whatever action is necessary to accomplish that. But the command cannot come via myself. Unfortunatly the politics of the matter rather tie my hands at the moment." Mina finished in a cool tone. She was laying her cards clearly down on the table, it was knowledge that could be used against her. But she had to trust Damian that even if her request was denied it would stay confidentialy between them.

Her emerald orbs lowered to the table, Mina also knew she was asking a lot. For the Prince's stamp of approval, that might lead to some turmoil. But she could not risk the upset that her direct involvement in the matter could generate. If she was seen to be taking a favourable view on Carmilla over Seath it could lead to an uprising against her. Certain Tremere were just waiting for her to put one foot wrong.

Zillah and Aella

"Well, Zillah," Aella replied, letting his name roll seductively off of her tongue, "I'm not much for playing games, so hows about I just let you buy me a drink."

Zillah tipped his head back slightly as the laughter rumbled through his chest and he flashed a cheeky smile. "A girl in an arcade who doesn't like games. How unusual....."

So Aella liked things straight forward, down the line. She'd be sorely disapointed with him in a matter of hours. Zillah loved games, the dance of flirtation. Life was boring if you knew exactly where you were, he prefered to scate over thin ice, so you were never sure just quite when you'd get a cold drenching.

"As for the drink, what would you prefer, do you want a can from the vending machine? Or would you desire something a little more exotic, there's a cafe not far from here that sells the most excellent expresso. Or something with a bit more zing, a beer or coctail?" Zillah's head tilted to one side as he studied her through the green eyes wondering which she'd choose. He hoped she'd pass on the alcohol going to the Haven 3 nights in a row with a different woman in toe, might earn him a reputation. Not that it was the reputation per se he minded rather that he hoped it would not reach Carmilla's ears.

She certainly wasn't his usual type, a little too conservative and there was an intensity to her gaze as as she watched him. Almost as though she was analysing every move so that later she could pull him apart and see what made him tick.

Valerian & Gemma - The Haven / Damian & Mina - penthouse office

Valerian felt Gemma's gaze on him. It was so tangible it almost felt like a caress across his chin and cheek, a whisper in his ear. She was beckoning him. Knowingly or not, she was calling out to him. And as he looked back at her, he could see the silent question in her eyes. She didn't understand the things of which he spoke. Not understanding was reason enough for many to simply dismiss what they heard as pure drivel. But not Gemma. It seemed she realized, despite her Tremere nature, that there was something beyond the voice of reason and logical clarity. And it also seemed she was intrigued by it.

Her tantalizing lips curved into a soft smile, and she put her delicate little hand daintily on his her touch as light as the breath of spring. It sent tiny delighted sparks up his spine, and a charmed smile onto his lips. It didn't seem she knew the effect she had on him. Or she did, and simply played the part of innocense. Valerian was very well aware that by involving himself with a Tremere, he would be setting himself up for a possible game of cat and mouse. They were a dangerous clan. Cunning, and had at times been known to be quite decietful. Playing mind games was something of a favorite past time for many of them.
He couldn't help but feel like he was walking on thin ice, but there was just something so intense about Gemma he simply couldn't resist her. Much like with Mina. But Mina always kept a distance and a certain aloofness, something that constantly reminded him to keep on his toes when around her.
Gemma, on the other hand, had a genuine warmth hiding behind her calm and collected exterior, and it risked seducing him to the point where he'd forget all about keeping his tiny little garde up.

"Well... That makes two of us," she said, and tilted her head slightly, although still keeping his gaze trapped in hers. "It must be nice, having a passion like that, not having to think logically."

This was something new. While Valerian did have a tendency to become infatuated with just about everyone, and people had a tendency to be quite taken by him as well, he rarely felt he was the prey. Not when it came to women. He was usually the instigator, the active pursuer, though often encouraged by the women, simply because most still believed it was the man who should be the aggressive one in the ritual of flirting.
But Valerian didn't mind, nor did he mind when the woman took the first step. He wasn't one of those men whose masculinity was threatened by a strong woman. He didn't have the need to be in total control. But that didn't mean he wouldn't respond to her touch.
Slowly he turned his hand over, so that hers ended up in his, and he gave it a gentle squeeze.

"It's sweet torture", he softly replied, and playfully interlaced his fingers with hers.

She did indeed seem intrigued, like she envied him ever so slightly, and wished she herself could get to experience it. But in a way, it seemed she was already halfway there. It was obvious to him that this very moment, her heart was telling her one thing, and her head was telling her another. He got the distinct impression she wanted to go along with her feelings of attraction, but that her head was wary.
The question was, was it because of her woman nature, or her Kindred one?
She was a Tremere, and it seemed Mina wished her to be as distant and aloof as her Primogen. Would he get her into trouble if he helped her drown out the voice of reason, for just one night? If he offered to share with her a hint of what it was like to be him, the only way he knew how? Because due to her Tremere blood, he doubted she would ever be able to fully experience it. But a small taste of it would at least be enough for her logical mind to gain an understanding.

"It sounds as though you've never experienced such a thing?", he said, not wanting to seem presumptuous by flat out assuming she hadn't.

But the look in her eyes was enough for him to know, and he delicately continued;

"If you would allow me the pleasure, I would be most willing to offer you the opportunity? Though I'm afraid it could only be a brief glimpse, as I fear the consequences of me offering more than that would possibly be far too... fateful for you."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

"Indeed."

Mina's reply came firmly and without hesitation. Though she did paus a moment or two before giving Damian the full story. A story of which, he could tell, she was not particularly fond, judging by the returning iciness in her eyes and voice and the shadow of contempt stealing across her face every time she uttered Seath's name. Damian suspected there was bad blood between him and Mina already, considering the hints she made about politics.

"The matter is complicated", she continued once she was ready. "Carmilla is a well respected lady within the circle. Her excellent qualities naturally encompass a respect for Seath as her sire. However, I have received word that she has now seen the error of his ways and he is locking her away against her will. I would wish for the authority to demand that Seath release her, and whatever action is necessary to accomplish that. But the command cannot come via myself. Unfortunatly the politics of the matter rather tie my hands at the moment."

Damien listened quietly, mulling her words over as she spoke. It would be an unusual thing for him to step into clan affairs, especially that of the secluded Tremere, who very much treasured their privacy. Though he would be within his right, so while it might raise some questions, none of them would be of any great importance.
But, although he trusted Mina and her intentions, this required some further investigation. If he was to intervene, he wanted to hear the story from all parties involved, so that he might make his decision according to his own perception of the situation, and not based on Mina's word alone.
And there was also the matter of what he should ask of her in return, or if he should ask for anything in return. Favours like these were perfect to dangle over someone's head, should they in the future be needed to be swung a certain way in order for the Prince to obtain something he wanted.
He could of course insist that by him stepping in to sort out a situation to her liking, the least she could do was to be frank with him regarding whatever incident had occured between her and Cade. But... No. He would not be petty. He'd already concluded that no matter what Cade had said or done, it was nothing to be particularly concerned about, and so by asking for Mina to tell him about it, Damian would be selling his favour short. And Damian thought way too highly of himself to do that, and so he moved on to the next possibility. There was another thing he considered asking of her... But after no more than a second or two, he dismissed the idea. If he was to ask, it was not something he wanted her to feel forced into doing.
At the moment, that left no other option than to keep it tucked away safely until it came in handy.

"This is a delicate matter", he said slowly, still looking somewhat thoughtful. "I will need to speak with both Carmilla and Seath before reaching a desicion."

He leaned back in his chair and studied Mina's face, as if pondering something else.

"May I ask why it is that Carmilla herself has not broken free from his chains?" he asked. "If she is as worthy of respect as you say, surely she has the power to fight him?"

veldagia 21st Oct 2007 8:01 PM

Mina and the Prince - his Office

Damian listened quietly to her words and appeared to be thinking things through. The fact that he gave the situation his consideration was not taken lightly by Mina. Indeed she was privaliged that he gave her the time to even make a request. But she appreciated his thoughts on the matter, her own judgement was clouded by her history. Her own battle with her sire. She knew she could not look upon it dispassionatley. Carmilla was one of the very few she considered a friend, so the battle was a personal one which she had great stakes in regardless of her position of Primogen.

"This is a delicate matter", he said slowly, still looking somewhat thoughtful. "I will need to speak with both Carmilla and Seath before reaching a desicion." He leaned back in his chair and studied Mina's face, as if pondering something else."May I ask why it is that Carmilla herself has not broken free from his chains? If she is as worthy of respect as you say, surely she has the power to fight him?"

"My Prince, when I say locked away I mean it most literally." Mina explained her emerald gaze meeting his own. She allowed her eyes to soften slightly to speak to him on the level of a woman making a request, without the Primogen mask. "I know about the matter through personal routes. My understanding of the situation is that he has her contained under lock and key. You meerly asking to speak to her may be enough. Seath would be unable to deny that request."

A thoughtful look crossed her eyes as she considered what she knew of Carmilla in response to his later questions. Her gaze unfocused as she looked towards one of the paintings, it was hard to untangle what she knew from her own history. One of loving a repressive sire, despite the ties that bound so tightly around her, the lies he wove to keep her by his side. Eventually she spoke, her voice softened by the memory, "Carmilla has all the power she needs to fight him within her. But she loves him, so it is hard for her to see him for what he is, she is coming to realise the truth. I purely wish for Seath to realise that he cannot keep another vampire in chains. She may stay with him, despite being released. But that must be her own choice." Mina gave a soft smile and a small shrug.

This was not a pure matter of logic but one of the heart and her involvement in it all revealed too much of a weakness for her liking. She could only hope that Damian would understand. She was certain that behind the mask he wore as elequently as her own there was a man, who could feel pain and love. Not everything was black and white, not even for the Tremere. Her acnowledgement of an understanding for Carmilla's fate left her feeling vulnerable. It was so much easier to be an unfeeling Ice Queen.

((OOC Psyche I really hope everything I've written is OK :D))

Damian & Mina / Council Meeting - penthouse office in the "V" skyscraper

"My Prince," Mina started explaining further. "When I say locked away I mean it most literally."

She was keeping her gaze locked with his as she spoke, and they way she was looking at him had him suspecting he was now seeing just a little bit more of Mina herself, and not just the Tremere Primogen. It seemed this matter was one striking a chord deep within her, making it just a little bit more personal than any random issue.

"I know about the matter through personal routes", she continued. "My understanding of the situation is that he has her contained under lock and key. You meerly asking to speak to her may be enough. Seath would be unable to deny that request."

He'd better be! The Prince would not have anyone refusing him. For he did intend to send for both of them. But not tonight. He had far too much to deal with already.
Although, if the man did in fact refuse, it would make it so much easier to accommodate Mina, as then Damian would have another tangible reason to restrict the liberties Seath had taken with his progeny.

"Carmilla has all the power she needs to fight him within her", Mina began answering his question after pondering it for a few moments, and, just like he expected she would, choosing her words carefully. "But she loves him, so it is hard for her to see him for what he is, she is coming to realise the truth. I purely wish for Seath to realise that he cannot keep another vampire in chains. She may stay with him, despite being released. But that must be her own choice."

Damian nodded slowly. Freedom of choice, and freedom to learn on one's own. Things so simple and obvious most took them for granted, and so important to own personal growth.
If what Mina told him was indeed true, he could not condone Seath's behaviour.

"Very well", he said, reaching for the expensive silver pen in the black marble stand on his desk. "When you leave here, you will carry with you a request, written by my hand, for both this Carmilla and her Sire to present themselves here tomorrow night."

He scribbled down his message, folded the note and sealed it shut with the "V" marked signet ring on his right hand, before handing it over to Mina.
And with that matter temporarily resolved and out of the way, it was time for the council meeting.
Having given his secretary the go-ahead over the intercom, and also told her to alert the members of his own clan that he wished to see them all in his office at midnight, he sat back in his chair, watching as his council of Primogen strolled through the doors. He was highly dissatisfied to find one of them not present. For one claiming the seat as Gangrel Primogen, Tobias sure didn't seem interested in the obligations that came with it. Ultimately, that meant the Prince would rather have someone else in that position. Tobias had already managed to annoy him on a personal level, by interrupting a private meeting and spilling ash all over Damian's beautiful desk, and so not much was needed for him to dismiss Tobias as a candidate.
Though he quickly wiped the scowl from his features, and adopted his usual air of noble formality.

Once they were all seated, he wasted no time in getting to the point.

"Not twentyfour hours ago, there was a severe breach of the Masquerade", he started, looking at each and everyone of them in order to ensure that he had their full attention. "Milo the Malkavian - a whelp, a mere fledgling - killed a mortal while feeding, and was caught in his deed by other mortals."

He allowed a brief silence for the news to sink in, before continuing, his voice turning firmer and colder with every syllable spoken.

"Such a breach is, as you all know, punishable by death, and on such matters I will show no leniency."

For emphasis and proper authority, he pushed his chair back and stood, starting to pace the area between his desk and the window once again, much like he'd done while talking to Mina regarding Ada.

"His Sire has been banished from this domain, and I have now summoned you all here to ensure that the matter is dealt with in accordance with Camarillan law."

With that he stopped suddenly, and turned to face them all as he announced;

"I hereby call a blood hunt on Milo Burne Nye, of the Malkavian."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

ATTENTION EVERYONE!

The Prince has declared a blood hunt. This means that Milo Burne Nye of the Malkavian is to be hunted down and killed. Once the order is given, it is customary to give the target until midnight to flee the city. After that, any Kindred is free to hunt them down and destroy them. It is up to the Primogen to pass on the word to the rest of their clan.
Any vampire who helps the subject of a blood hunt in any way is considered an accomplice and may himself become an additional target.

So, how will this work?
If you're interested in having your character be the one who puts Milo to death, PM Psyche and let her know. If you're on a creative streak, feel free to include a possible scenario.
If more than one person contacts her, Psyche will then use a randomizer to choose who will have the honor of executing Milo, and the two of you can work out the details through PM's.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them in the thread, or to PM me.

And for those of you wondering; yes, Psyche was in on this. Meaning, I won't have the Prince call a blood hunt if you/your character happen to make a mistake. I'll tell you first and if it was not your intention to break the Masquerade or otherwise royally p*ss off the Prince, you'll have a chance of editing your post so that whatever was wrong didn't happen.

Aella and Zillah : The Arcade | Gemma and Valerian : The Haven

Aella

Zillah tipped his head back slightly as the laughter rumbled through his chest and he flashed a cheeky smile. "A girl in an arcade who doesn't like games. How unusual....."

If only he knew. . . Zillah would be the perfect addition to Aella's novel. She could see it now! He would be the second vampire in his story. The "homewrecker" if you will. She just had to learn more about him.

"As for the drink, what would you prefer, do you want a can from the vending machine? Or would you desire something a little more exotic, there's a cafe not far from here that sells the most excellent expresso. Or something with a bit more zing, a beer or cocktail?" Zillah's head tilted to one side as he studied her through the green eyes wondering which she'd choose.

As he studied her, Aella began to think that as the conversation went on he was getting less and less interested in her. She couldn't have this at all, she still needed more material for her plot! Perhaps, she wasn't his type. She could quickly change that. By the looks of Zillah, Aella guessed that he would be into the seductive, flirty, and spontaneous girls. Hoping that her assumption was correct, she quickly shed the charcoal jacket, tossing it onto a nearby chair, revealing a much less conservative turquoise tank top underneath. Next, she reached her small pale hand behind her head and pulled out her ponytail, letting her long red hair cascade around her face and down her shoulders.

"An espresso sounds great," Aella said, slipping the hair tie around her wrist.

¤¤¤¤¤¤
Gemma

Valerian turned his hand over, so that Gemma's hand was in his. He then lightly squeezed the small hand, making Gemma smile softly at the beautiful Valerian. She was becoming entranced by this man, and she knew Mina would not be pleased if she were here, but, for some reason, she didn't care what Mina thought at this very moment. The only thing she cared about right now was Valerian, and her hand in his.

"It's sweet torture", he softly replied, and playfully interlaced his fingers with hers.

Gemma closed her eyes for two full seconds when Valerian interlaced their fingers. This was as connected as she had felt with someone in seventeen years. As Gemma opened her eyes, it looked as though Valerian was deep in thought. Perhaps wondering what he should do.

"It sounds as though you've never experienced such a thing?", he said, not wanting to seem presumptuous by flat out assuming she hadn't.

She needn't tell him she hadn't. She just lightly traced a finger across his hand. Both hands were equally pale, and having Valerian that close to her, Gemma could almost feel his soul. It felt as though it was speaking to her.

"If you would allow me the pleasure, I would be most willing to offer you the opportunity? Though I'm afraid it could only be a brief glimspe, as I fear the consequences of me offering more than that would possibly be far too... fateful for you."

"I think I understand what you are saying. . . I wasn't aware that it could work like that. It would be pure bliss if I could experiance what you feel. Anything that would make me closer to you, I'm up for," Gemma said in a soft voice, slightly biting her lip.

Esther

((OoC: Blood hunt! Yay! Now I can go and tell all of the other non-existant Nosferatu Oh the joy of solo posts. There may be one or two more of these, but it'll show you more of Esther's character. I'll try to post tonight once more before bed or as soon as I wake up if nobody else has posted yet.))

Esther sat and listened to what Prince had to say impassively, or at least it would appear that way. She merely absorbed the information, now was not the time to show emotion, not when a Prince was giving orders.

Some words seemed heavier than others, almost forceful in her mind. Not because of how the Prince said it, but merely the full weight of what they implied: "whelp", "fledgling", "killed a mortal", "caught", "breach", "punishable by death", "no leniency", "Bloodhunt", "Milo Burne Nye, of the Malkavian".

When he was done speaking and it appeared as if he was waiting for them to go and inform their clans, she stood, bowed deeply and scurried off to the warrens to discuss the issue with her clan. There were a few matters she wanted clarification on.

...

As she made her way through the sewer systems, Esther caught the eye of every Nosferatu she encountered and gave them the message to pass on. "Clan meeting. Tonight. As soon as possible. Everyone is to assemble in the central meeting chamber. And find someone who knows when Milo Burne Nye was embraced." A few protested that the scheduled clan meeting was in two night's time, but the question quickly withered as she merely looked at them questioningly. She was old and experienced enough to know when the schedule had to change.

Cade - Primogen meeting and club

((ooc: Ooh, a blood hunt! Well count me in. Oh, and sorry for the incredibly long post! ))

Cade had followed the other Primogen into Damian’s office, and sat like the rest. The other Primogen were all silent and patient. They waited. Cade assumed that they had been called for something menial, but to his own surprise, it was far more enticing.
"Not twenty four hours ago, there was a severe breach of the Masquerade" the Prince said, looking around to each Primogen. As soon as the words escaped his mouth, Cade’s eyes beamed.
"Milo the Malkavian - a whelp, a mere fledgling - killed a mortal while feeding, and was caught in his deed by other mortals." Cade slowly allowed a smirk to creep across his face. He leant back against his chair and watched intently as Damian took a pause. This business was unpredictably exciting. He could tell by the Prince’s tone, that something was to be done about it. Which is why he called the Primogen. The next few sentences that the Prince spoke, clarified Cade’s assumptions.
"Such a breach is, as you all know, punishable by death, and on such matters I will show no leniency.” The Prince stood.
"His Sire has been banished from this domain, and I have now summoned you all here to ensure that the matter is dealt with in accordance with Camarillan law. I hereby call a blood hunt on Milo Burne Nye, of the Malkavian." Cade tried to contain his excitement. Exactly what he wanted. A thrill. Matters such as blood hunts always fed the beast within Cade himself; the desire to afflict pain, power and destruction. Finally something he could grasp upon. This little insolent Malkavian, could prove to be just that. As Cade filed out along with the other Primogen he couldn’t help but think. Of course the Prince sends his dogs to do his dirty work. Weak. Just like the rest of them. He flew down the staircase once again, his jacket flapping and revealing his bare chest as he exited the building and entered onto the cold, dark street. The night was young. Fresh. And it was time for action.

---

It wasn’t long before Cade reached his club again and pulled up out front. He hadn’t called a gathering with his fellow Brujah clan for, well, a long time. So instead, he decided to inform the one person he knew would prove to be a successful partner.
“Find Tiger.”
“But sir, I thought you-” Cade whipped a glance over to the Brujah vampire and half snarled.
“Did I ask your opinion? Just f.ucking bring her to me.”

---

In the midst of a bar brawl taking place outside, Tiger stood beside a brick wall and watched in the shadows. Surveying the humans aggression. Nothing was better than seeing her own prey killing each other. She moved foward under the buzzing and dim light of a street lamp, illuminating her vibrant red hair. Her eyes pierced and glistened. She flicked the lit cigarette from between her fingers and stomped out the ambers with her black stiletto heels, waiting patiently for the fight to finish. One man blew into the other's jaw, sending the drunken disorderly flying to the concrete road tumbling. The first signs of blood appeared on the man's teeth, and Tiger sensed the sweet intoxicating fumes, savouring the meal to come. She leaned against the brick wall once again, fading back into the shadows, until something from behind her approached.
"Tiger?" Came the sound of a deep male voice. She snapped a glance over her shoulder, recognising the man. A fellow Brujah vampire, Ben. After recognising his face she returned her attentions back to the progressing fight.
"You can feed too, but I get first pick." Ben looked over at the humans blankly, before coming around to stand beside her.
"Cade sent me. He wants you back at the club." Tiger let out an irate snigger, still watching the road.
"He can f.uck off for all I care. I'm done with Cade and his power craze."
"He says its important." Tiger looked at Ben and huffed, watching one last time her future meal tumble across the pavement.

Valerian & Gemma - The Haven

"I think I understand what you are saying...", Gemma said slowly. "I wasn't aware that it could work like that."

A Tremere that did not possess full knowledge about the magic of the Blood? She had not been given an understanding of the essence in Tremere wisdom? Blood, especially Kindred, was the very core of their teachings, the fundamentals of their power and sorcery.
Would this by why Valerian sensed such sadness and loneliness in her? Had she been abandoned by her Sire, or her chantry, before she could be enlightened of their ways?
It would explain why she was not as tightly chained by rational thinking and analyzing, as most of the other Tremere he had come across. She had been left for the Blood to effect her all on it's own, for the change in her personality to happen slowly, and not be hurried along by Tremere doctrines.

"It would be pure bliss if I could experiance what you feel", the raven haired beauty softly continued. "Anything that would make me closer to you, I'm up for."

Straight forward words, that had her biting her lip in what appeared to be shyness over being so bold. A wide smile drifted across Valerian's face, his eyes overflowing with warmth and benevolence. Mostly because of the honesty in what she had said, but also because he adored her contradictory appearance. So much so, that it did in fact send another wave of inspiration crashing over him. He had a sudden and overwhelming urge to paint her portrait. He knew just the details he would use, what feelings he wanted it to instill in the viewer. He could see it as clearly as though he'd already painted it.
But painting would have to wait. Her portrait would have to wait. Right now, the real her was of the greatest importance to him. She had just offered him the one thing he felt more strongly about than the arts; pleasing someone else, making them experience feelings of happiness, comfort, affection, revelry, inspiration, satisfaction, ecstacy... It was what he lived for, what gave him his biggest thrill. He'd always found his most intense pleasure in pleasing others, to know that even if just for a little while, he could make someone feel good, about themselves, and about life (or unlife) in general.

"You flatter me", he said with a humble smile. "It would be my honor to have you close, and be granted the chance of sharing the gift life has chosen to bestow on me. It is in my blood as well as in my soul. It was there already when I was brought into the human world, but the blood of the Toreador has made it grow stronger and blossom in a way I could've never imagined."

He stood, and made her slide from her chair as well by tugging her closer. All the while gazing upon her face. Not to try and read her expression, but to drink in her features; the color of her eyes, the hue of her skin, so that he might later do her justice when painting her portrait.

"Do I have your permission to steal you away to a place offering a bit more privacy?" he asked, glancing up at the windows of the office/VIP lounge on the second floor, overlooking the club, to show her what place he had in mind.

(((ooc: *lol* Valerian is such a hippie!
skylark - Is such a shame we don't have any more Nosferatu.
Jacki - Great. I figured it might be a good opening for those struggling to get back into the RP (you're not alone. ) )))
