Esther with Mina and Cade

((Ooc: Apologies for the double post everyone! Veldagia and Jacki posted while I was busy with that application. I was going to do a RP post for Ciara as well, but I think triple posting is taking it a BIT far.))

"The Prince would like to announce that you have been selected as the new Nosferatu Primogen." Cade spoke somewhat brazenly, "Congratulations."

Esther raised an eyebrow at the Brujah's words. Primogen, yeah right. A smile snaked across her lips as she wondered what the Brujah's game was. But then she saw Mina nodding and her stomach sank like a stone. No... it couldn't be. But the Tremere were not a clan to joke about something like this. The smile was instantly obliterated from her lips as the fact sunk in that either they were playing the most bizarre and nonsensical trick on her for some unkonwn reason or they were telling the truth. And as far as she knew the Malkavians had yet to discover a way to control people to play their games for them like this.

"There must have been some sort of mix-up, somewhere. Are you certain your message is for me?" Esther said, her voice as icy as her eyes which were studying the duo for any signs that this was indeed a mistake.

Sarah, Vevila and Valerian

Sarah sat down at the bar with the girl she helped with her music, and another man joined them. "Are you alright, love?" She looked at both of them. Apparently she had a boyfriend, but she wasn't sure. She stepped in. "hi, I'm Sarah. I go to UCLA." She stuck out her hand as for someone to shake it. Something told her they wouldn't.

(((ooc: Elektra - Just letting you know that Valerian will greet her. I'll just give trampled a chance to respond first. )))

OOC: Ok, I tried to read through everything but I'm
still a little lost. So if I mess something up feel free
to correct me.

Ada closed her eyes breathing in the smells of alcohol,
sweat and smoke. She glided slowly down the steps into Haven,
pushing past the clusters of humans dancing all around. a group
of drunk girls in tight jeans and tanktops up ahead
squealed with laughter as one of them told a joke. They didn't
look older then maybe sixteen or seventeen. Ada shook
her head, they probably had no idea of the kindred all around them.
With just a flick of her dark eyes Ada could pick out a
man near the bar, tapping his foot in tune to the music.
Also at the bar sat Mihael, his total concetration on the
glass of champagne in his hands. There was a rustle and Ada
looked down to see Vivela helping another kindred
scoop up the loose papers that were being scatter and trampled
by the hundreds of human feet. No one stopped to help her and
Ada snorted in digust. Humans, they were all so careless
and selfish. She continued to push her way through the crowd,
edging towards the bar. She wrinkled her nose as she passed the
group of drunk girls. "Disgusting juicebags.." she muttered as one
of the girls swayed on her feet, slopping drink down the front of her
shirt. The others disolved into giggles. Ada turned her head to
watch as Valerian glided towards Vevila, reach
down to help her tp her feet. Suddenly a wave of cold flooded
over Ada's back. She spun wildly to see one of the drunk
girls staring in puzzlement at her empty glass. With a feral growl
Ada shoved the girl, sending her soaring over the table
behind her and into a fountain.

trampledsneakers 23rd Sep 2007 8:25 PM

((Question; since the Haven has a bar, does it serve Humans? And in which case, I'm safe in assuming that the Vamps can't get drinks? Because if I remember correctly, we're not supposed to ingest human foods and drinks, right? If there are vampire drinks though, let me know. xD For now, I'll just act as if there aren't.))

"Tell me about it. Put them under something heavy at home."

A set of hands were moving about with her own, collecting up the papers and straightening them out. Vevila raised her unnatural eyes to meet those of the young, blonde-haired woman who had come to her aid. A smile grazed her lips and she gave the woman nod of gratitude.

"Thank you, at least someone in here has some manners." A tiny sigh could be heard as she set the sheet music on the counter. Moments later, a cool hand slid over her shoulder. Vevila let her neck turn slowly to meet the piercing gaze of a familiar face. A faint smirk toyed with her lips. Valerian.

"You alright, love?"

Vevila swiveled her body so that she could face him. Although Vevila was young in terms of Vampires, she had already learned of many of the members of her clan--and of them, Valerian certainly stood out. Despite being young himself, the dashing man had made quite the name for himself among the Toreadors.

"Ah, Valerian," she chimed, moving forward to plant a fleeting affectionate kiss on the young man's ivory cheek. "Charming as always. I'm fine, although, now that I know you witnessed that embarassing display, I'm quite mortified. Nothing a bit of alcohol can't fix though," she gave an ironic smile. Because she couldn't identify the young blonde with any clan, and she had the flushed pink cheeks of mortality, Vevila hesitated to explain herself, so instead, she embellished the truth. "But you know I've given that dreadful stuff up. Drunkenness is unbecoming of a lady." She waved a pale hand through the air dismissively, as if she didn't miss the beverage at all.

"So, Valerian dear. What pretty young thing are you entertaining tonight, hm?" Her purply-blue eyes scanned the room of scantily clad women. Surely one of them had flit his fancy. It was in her quick scan that she realized she had momentarily forgotten the young woman who had aided her; how rude! But in truth, Valerian could have that effect on you.

"My apologies," she said quickly to her, motioning between her and Valerian. "I don't even know your name." The blonde woman extended a hand and spoke.

"Hi, I'm Sarah. I go to UCLA."

Vevila shot Valerian a slight grin. This was what he lived for, wasn't it? Fresh, pretty blood just offering him a hand to steal into a kiss? This was where he shone. Vevila merely watched with a faint smile, suppressing a giggle and anticipating Valerian's greeting.

((wasn't sure how Val would react, so if that last bit's out of character, let me know and I'll edit. ))

Mina with Cane and Esther

"There must have been some sort of mix-up, somewhere. Are you certain your message is for me?" Esther said, her voice as icy as her eyes.

Mina felt Esther’s gaze upon her studying them in disbelief. Her eyes boring into her as if to discover some truth hidden within her skull. Mina held her gaze, carefully watching for any sign of anger to cross the Nosferatu’s features. It didn’t sound as though she was overjoyed at the news and Mina was not willing to make an enemey for a decision tht had ultimatley not been her own. The Nosferatu were not known for jumping the gun unlike other clans but still it paid to be cautious.

Mina started to turn as if to leave the message to sink in. To give Esther time to get used to the idea of her clan’s weight upon her shoulders. It was not always an easy burden to bare.

But then she turned her head back around pausing and looking over her shoulder to face the Nosferatu. “It is no mistake It was announced at the council this very night that you are to join us.” She paused the slightest hint of warmth in her smile. “You are welcome to approach the Prince yourself if there is any doubt in your mind. He should be informed of your acceptance or if you have other plans.”

((OCC Trampled the bar does serve humans, or at least it served Zillah :D

I'm not sure re the rules this RP with vamps taking in very small quantities of drink/food to pretend to act human

“It is no mistake. It was announced at the council this very night that you are to join us. You are welcome to approach the Prince yourself if there is any doubt in your mind. He should be informed of your acceptance or if you have other plans.” Cade smirked as Mina turned to walk away, and waited till she finished speaking before adding his own commentary.
“I feel remorseful for you, too. Having to smug up to that pathetic excuse for a Prince.” He let out a cattery laughter that he thought was appropriate for the line.
“The line ups for Primogen of this city appal me. So many females…” He didn’t exactly make it clear if he was joking or not, but simply grinned to himself, and reached into his pocket to retrieve a pair of black sunglasses. After fixing them on his head he began to walk in the opposite direction, not before he looked over his shoulder to spy on Mina. No doubt she was striking. He didn’t heed to pay attention to Esther’s response. He could feel a thirst for blood developing, to sooth his temper after the meeting with the Prince. Young blood. Something fresh. He moistened his lips at the thought of tasting another neck, and headed off down the street.

Mihael&Michael

ooc: Misha, huh? I kind of like that. :] I'm assuming it's said the way it's spelt?

The perimeter about Mihael had become swollen with activity upon the descent of that graceful Toreador, Vevila. It seemed some anonymous mortal had come to her aide, along with the graceful Kindred Valerian. A great sneer flew over the Tremere's face at the tiny cluster of Toreador multiplying at his feet. Something about those Kindred made him uneasy. They held an air about them of grace and poise that radiated and possessed everything around them. Such folk did not settle well with the solitary creature. For the treasure of beauty a terrible price must be paid... It seemed that was the way it worked with such beasts.

He pulled his gaze away from the scene and focused his mind on the sound of the music's softening. He glanced up, eyes falling upon the stage where the great curtains of burgundy began to roll away, drifting like light phantoms to the side of their post. The lights dimmed a tinge more while simultaneously a warm glow draped over the stage, revealing a grand piano.
Mihael's brow rose once more, and he eyed that place with curiosity as a nervous-looking young woman took the stage. In her hands she shuffled a collection of papers before taking a seat aside the piano...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michael took in a deep breath as she passed through the crowds. It seemed that creatures of the night might be everywhere. Her eyes stapled to each passing figure, the blurred silhouette of every dancer poised about the floor. Could this finally be the break she was looking for? A gathering place for vampire? She knew better than to get her hopes up. Each sight she had played before led to nothing but a false hope blistering at her fingers. Still. The place was such an obvious breeding ground for those who feed off the night, humans and vampires alike. Surely, surely there must be something...

Silently she slipped up to the stairs which led to the stage. Her heart hammered against its cage, threatening to tear from her very body. The crowds, the blistering heat...such things had never affected her before. So why did her heart race then? Why was it that her every limbs shook with a vigor, knees knocked soundly? She couldn't be sure, she only hoped she looked gracefully nervous. If such a thing were possible.

The lighting burned against her skin as she steadied her breathing, entering the spotlight to sit upon the stool. Before her marched the keys of ebony and ivory, her companions from years past. Delicately she held her fingers at an arch over them and she lingered for several moments simply breathing, cleansing her mind of all worry.
Then, she began to play. It was one of her favorites, a melancholy tune that spoke of wretchedness and the damned. Perhaps it was a sort of promise in her mind that she would free herself from every thought of the vampiric one day...As she lost herself in thought, her fingers danced gracefully across those keys, dipping and skimming. Light, yet powerful strokes fell as the music deepened, lulling the world about her into a sense of something sinister. As she herself faded from the world and entered a realm of her own.

Bee was about to turn to see the dashing man but instead heard a scream and a crash. She looked up to see a young girl knocked out in the fountain. She looked for the person who had done and saw that it was Ada and from where she was standing and where the girl ways laying it was a good distance. How dare she. She used to much strength for that and in this bar. She would be punished. She quickly ran to her. "How dare you do this here. You are making to much of a scene." She had seen that she was drinched with alcohol. SHe lost her temper Bee could understand why but she was making herself noticed. Valerian would not be please. Thwy must think of a way to get this cleaned up before someone calls the humans authorities. "Ada this has got to get cleaned up right now."

PennyTheCorgi 23rd Sep 2007 9:13 PM

Ada tried to remain calm, she hoped Bee hadn't seen the brief spark of fear in her eyes. She hadn't meant to throw the girl that far or knock her out. "Ada this has got to get cleaned up right now." Bee whispered urgently. "You think I don't know that?!" Ada hissed. "what am I suppose to do?" Ada turned quickly to look at the other girls. They stared stupidly at her. Hopefully they were too drunk to comprehend what had just happened. Ada cringed inwardly, trying desperately to think of a quick way to clean up her stupid mess. Valerian would not be happy about this.

Shadowblade 23rd Sep 2007 9:47 PM

(OOC: Er...well, I dunno how exactly to interject Kess in the middle of this, so I'll put him in how he would usually spend his evenings- alone. This whole RPG seems to be turning out pretty well! I love all the interactions between everyone's characters...)

Kess sat at the bar by himself, toying with a lit cigarette he had just plucked off some drunk guy. He didn't smoke often, but cigarettes were useful for other things, after all...He pressed the lit end to the inside of his wrist and held it, enjoying the hiss and almost complete lack of pain. After ten seconds or so, he lifted and pressed again. He continued on this way until he had a complete Pagan protection sigil embedded in his skin.

He giggled slightly as he held his arm up to the shoddy club lighting- what little there was, of course- and admired his handiwork. He didn't often use cigarettes or burning at all, really, to make his symbols. But sometimes, it was like a good drink. He just had to have it.

Placing the cigarette in his mouth (no point in wasting it, after all), he grimaced distastefully at the bitter taste of human. "Vile," he muttered, spitting it out and almost hitting a teenaged girl that was sashaying past. She caught his eye and winked. He flipped her off. "Get lost!"

Highly affronted, she strutted away to find some other poor loser to be her slut. It was disgusting, really, the way they let such young, immature humans in here. "They could get hurt," he whispered to himself with a smirk. Dangerous people hung out at The Haven, didn't they know? I could show them, he thought, eyeing the girl he had just dismissed, who stood talking intently with her friends, throwing dirty looks his direction.

Goodness (or lack thereof), how he hated human girls. At least the younger ones. The way they flocked together...their distasteful clothing choices...their dancing that just asked to be taught a lesson...He bared his teeth. Disgusting.

Taking another look around the overcrowded, all-too-warm club, he could identify several other vampires of varying clans there. "Must be a night for making friends," he laughed aloud, running his fingers over his newest mark. "Must be nice."

(OOC: The whole 'branding' thing was just to illustrate Kess' slight insanity, as is the incessant giggling :3dcool: )

Spirit-The Haven

Spirit stepped into the Haven, and glanced around. It was busy as usual, he decided to isolate himself, he really didn't like crowds but he needed some action. He crossed his arms and leaned back against the wall, the lights from the dance floor were playing off his sunglasses as he watched the people dance. His head bobbed a bit to the beat of the music, he began to scan the room looking for his first blood of the night.

Valerian, Vevila & Sarah

(((ooc: trampled - It's perfect! I've posted about him only twice, and already you have him down to a tee!

Oh, and yeah, you're right. Vampires can't actually ingest anything but blood, as their bodies are dead, and the only way of them feeling the effects of drugs or alcohol, is by drinking from a drunk or drugged up person.
The biggest thrill for vampires though isn't drugs, but drinking blood. Especially kindred blood.

So yes, as The Haven is part of the Masquerade, it's like a regular club for humans, serving only "real" drinks. Vampires however, should they want a sip, are more than welcome to approach Valerian, as he's not only the host and owner of the club, but also serves as a blood doll. IF he likes you.

Whew! Long ooc.)))

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Coming face to face with Vevila, Valerian was once again struck by how captivating she really was. It happened every time. The Toreadors were known for being handsome and pretty, but Vevila was the very essence of beauty. Dark and alluring, her violet gaze through lowered lashes beckoning the core of any man that laid eyes on her. And that sensual, graceful swagger when she moved... The phrase "poetry in motion" came to mind, no matter how cheesy a cliché it was. For her, it was true.
It was no wonder her Sire had chosen to Embrace her. All the other Toreadors seemed to pale in comparison.

"Ah, Valerian," she greeted him, her soft, melodic voice vibrating in his ear as she leaned in to give him a quick peck on the cheek. "Charming as always. I'm fine, although, now that I know you witnessed that embarassing display, I'm quite mortified."

Valerian laughed softly. The elegance with which she had fallen could hardly be described as an "embarassing display". Had people seen it, their jaws would've dropped over the fact that someone could make falling over seem like an art.

"Nothing a bit of alcohol can't fix though," she said, irony twinkling in her eyes. "But you know I've given that dreadful stuff up. Drunkenness is unbecoming of a lady."

And with a delicate wave of her hand, she changed the subject.

"So, Valerian dear. What pretty young thing are you entertaining tonight, hm?"

Words that drew another smile from his lips, and he followed her gaze as she scanned the club. It was busy tonight, both with humans and Kindred. Almost too busy, for his taste. While he did enjoy socializing, too many people made it difficult to keep an eye on everyone, and if he founs someone that piqued his interest more than the rest, there was the risk of them disappearing off someplace else before he got a chance to approach.
Though he would never be completely deserted, as he had a tendency to draw people to him, Kindred and kine alike. Intentionally or unintentionally, he never had to feel lonely.

As his gaze landed on a young woman, heading for the stage, he got so distracted he completely forgot to answer Vevila's question. Was this the pianist he'd heard so much about? The one whose fingers seemed to draw the melody from the keys, like sweet caresses drawing soft moans from a lover?
It was the performance he'd been waiting for.

However, Vevila and the young blonde next to her soon had his attention return to them, as Vevila's voice once again chimed in his ear.

"My apologies. I don't even know your name."

The blonde responded in an instant, extending a hand to be shaken.

"Hi, I'm Sarah. I go to UCLA."

Valerian saw the amused smile on Vevila's lips, out of the corner of his eye, and couldn't hold back a smile of his own. She knew him too well.
Without saying a word, he gently lifted Sarah's hand to his lips and planted a soft kiss on her knuckles. Women's delicate hands weren't for grabbing and shaking about.

"Valerian", he said, holding her hand a moment longer than necessary before letting go, and adding, to match her own introduction; "I would be your host."

But no sooner had he spoken those words, than something else jerked his attention away from the two ladies. A soft growl and a loud splash behind him had his head whipping around to see what was going on. Surely it was just a brawl between two humans? No Kindred would be foolish enough to start a fight in here. The Prince would have their heads. After Valerian did.

But much to his surprise, it turned out that one of the parties involved was indeed a vampire. Ada. Soon to be joined by Beyonca. A Tremere and a Ventrue. Two clans that rarely caused a scene. Judging by the growl he'd heard, Valerian's bet would've been a Brujah brute.

"Excuse me, ladies", he said, shooting a warm smile over at Vevila and Sarah before leaving them, striding over to Ada and Beyonca.

Upon reaching them, he stopped and locked gazes with the both of them. Ada at first, and then Beyonca. He didn't say a word, but his eyes demanded an explanation. And fast.

PennyTheCorgi 23rd Sep 2007 10:06 PM

Bee looked at Ada. " grap an arm. well carry her out like she was drunk and fell. We will dump her in the alley on the side of the building." Bee knew Ada could carry her herself but she wanted tm amke sure everything got cleaned up and they were no breaches.

Ada gave her a brisk nod and moved to grab hold of
the unconcious girl's arm. A few drops of blood dripped from
underneath her intricate hairstyle and fell into fountain. Ada
licked her lips at the smell of fresh blood, then quickly shook
her head. Now was not the time to be thinking of blood. Without
so much as a grunt they lifted the young woman out of the
fountain (a difficult task for a human as the girl was by not slim.)
Ada heard Bee gasp but before she could turn to
see what the problem was she felt a cold tingle on the back of her
neck. Valerian stood directly behind her, clearly unhappy.
Ada let the girl's arm drop with a thump and turned to face
Valerian. "Valerian, I can explain.." Ada said nervously smoothing the wrinkles from her crimson silk dress.
Valerian's smoldering gaze didn't waver, there would
be no sympathy here.

innoscenteyes 23rd Sep 2007 10:19 PM

Bee saw Valerain approachining ans couldnt do nothing but gasp. OH no she thought. She hoped that they could clear this up before he has seen it. Its then she noticed the blood coming from the girls head. She has well learn how to control the beast, but somtimes it was hard and she was hungry. Ada quickly dropped the young girls arm. "Valerain I can explain.." She was nervous, Bee could tell. By Valerains eyes someone could tell he was mad at them. Probably thought Bee had something to do with it. "Valerain I a sure you that it was the young girls fault. I am here to help clean the mess up before someone gets alarmed." She could see the two girls staring at them. Must have been the girls friends. "Valerain before someone sees let us clean this up. We are going to take her to they alley. If found they will think she was drunk and fell."

AtropaMandragora 23rd Sep 2007 10:26 PM

Valerian, Ada, and Beyonca

The times Valerian got angry were rare and far apart. 99% of the time he was laid back and sweet, always with a smile for everyone. But when he did get angry, he was not to be toyed with. Especially not when what had angered him was someone causing trouble in his beloved night club. When that happened, he was nothing like the kitten most knew him to be.

"Valerian, I can explain...", Ada stuttered, running a hand over her dress in an attempt to smooth out the creases.

The Toreador, although young - younger than the two vampires before him - held her gaze, his posture radiating with an authority that came from his protectiveness of The Haven, and the Elysium brand. He wasn't one to confront people, especially not in such an angry and intimidating way, but when something he treasured was being threatened, he didn't hesitate.

"Please do", he snapped, folding his arms over his chest.

But before Ada could say another word, Beyonca interjected.

"Valerain I a sure you that it was the young girls fault. I am here to help clean the mess up before someone gets alarmed. Valerain before someone sees let us clean this up. We are going to take her to they alley. If found they will think she was drunk and fell."

Valerian's eyes narrowed. He did not like that plan one bit. A young girl found unconscious outside of his club? Never. While their plan might actually work, it was still risky, and there was the tiniest chance it would end up in the papers.
Valerian wouldn't have that.

"No".

The one word sounded almost like a whiplash.

"I'll take care of it. You two just scurry on out of here."

Carmilla & Zillah - The Haven

#4

Carmilla realized, as she approached the young man, that she had not thought this through. Was she that desperate to be free from Seath? Apparently. No matter how charming this man seemed, she didn't know much about talking to strange men that might have an interest in her. Many had tried, but Seath scared them all away.

"Could I get you a drink."

Even a simple question like that stunned her. Any answer could be fateful. If he had been able to read her mind, he would laugh at her. She was sure of it. They were strangers. Eyes meeting for a few seconds was not a lifelong achievement. She had to admit, to herself atleast, that she did not know what the hell she was doing. The Malkavians had to be pretty insane, if they were more insane than this.

To Carmillas defence, she had only briefly met Malkavians. Seath didn't care much for the clan, so he were dismissive everytime they were near. Maybe it was their uncanny insight that scared him. Carmilla knew Malkavians only in theory, and it felt almost like a scary tale than something real. How could a clan that insane even function? How could the Prince stand for it?

Carmilla shook her head, as her mind was wandering. But then she understood it must look to the man like she was saying no to his offer.

"I want to", she replied. "But I can't..."

Oh, how stupid it must have sounded... Carmilla closed her eyes for a few seconds. She was a supernatural creature, a child of the underworld. And she couldn't even approach a human without bringing shame to her clan. They were brilliant, not stuttering fools.

((( ooc: I know NPC Seath is mentioned throughout my posts, but he is a big part of Carmillas past and present right now. I hope it's okay. )))

Michael&Mihael

Michael halted her playing for the slightest of moments, as her eyes descended upon a very peculiar scene just below. A clumsy girl had dumped her glass of liquor onto an elegant young woman, who in return had soundly shoved her into a fountain, knocking the girl unconscious. Very few others seemed to notice the events that were transpiring, perhaps the only reason she could so effortlessly view the scene was due to her heightened position upon the stage. Hastily she resumed playing, allowing her fingers to once more claim their rule over the keys. Though her eyes never wavered from that atypical sight.

Without hesitation a woman approached the girl, hissing something under her breath. The other looked frantic. As though she hadn’t meant to deliver the powerful assault. Perhaps she was stronger than she looked, but it seemed highly unlikely that the slight young woman could possess such strength that an accidental shove might propel the other girl into the fountain, knocking her unconscious. It was shortly after the arrival of that woman that yet another figure approached them. If she wasn’t mistaken, that man was named Valerian…the man who ran the night club.
Michael observed him with a fierce gaze, observing the emotions flickering over his face. Anger. One might find it a completely normal sight after such a display occurred within his establishment. Still. Something else lingered there, demanding for something that couldn’t be explained by mere fury. Her eyes slid to a slight young man who also seemed quite enraged, only to find his gaze melting over to meet her own. Those mahogany eyes seemed to shred through her body, and they held a wisdom beyond his years. Instantly her gaze fled back to the sheet music set before her and she continued to play, hoping she hadn’t been too blatant with her observances.
However, she realized with surprise that she had only a few more keys to go. Elegantly her fingers drifted over the last notes, concluding with a flourish. She did not know if anyone applauded, nor did she care. Her mind could hear nothing, only see that group before her. She had to do something, involve herself in some way with that gathering. If she could achieve that, she might just be able to unearth something of vast importance, a key clue in her search. Though, as usual, Lady Luck gambled against her and won.

"That was brilliant, superb, moving. I feel as if you delved into my very soul, you have a true gift!" a young woman was suddenly draping herself across the piano. A raven-haired vixen with the strangest eyes Michael had ever seen. Such beauty she radiated. Fear and perhaps a pinprick of hope rose through her body. Unmeasurable beauty...It was the same quality Gaston's lover possessed. No. She couldn't allow herself to suspect so quickly. She had done nothing to gain suspicions, aside from her unearthly beauty. There were truly gorgeous people in the world, though...her beauty was almost eerie...She might have been a descendant of Helen of Troy. "Your talent is astounding! Please, some day, afford me the honor of accompanying you, can you permit me that?"

Her voice rang clear and light, and Michael found herself drawn into the beautiful tones, "Perhaps," she spoke, the faintest of French accents lacing across her voice. "I see no reason why you couldn't." She batted her eyes at the young woman, curiosity rolling in her eyes. "I rather think I might enjoy it, so yes. Feel free to accompany me the next time I play," a warm smile bloomed across her features. "I'm sure a beautiful creature such as yourself must have a songbird voice to accompany that beauty."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mihael’s
eyes narrowed as he peered upon the pianist. Something wasn’t right with that one. She watched too keenly for a mere onlooker. She followed every motion with her eyes, unyielding. When she finally latched her gaze upon the Tremere, her eyes fell back to her piano. Quickly, he seized this moment to approach the others, standing beside Valerian in a rigid stance.

Ada,” he addressed the beautiful young Tremere in a low hiss, shaking his head, “Next time think before assaulting kine so brazenly. Your actions reflect upon the rest of the Tremere.” While his tone remained quite civil, his eyes blazed with a mixture of fury and shame. He then turned to Valerian, and he motioned with his head towards the stage.
“Be careful with that one,” he snarled, “I’m fairly certain she saw the entire thing, and unfortunately she’s not so drunk as our other bystanders. She seems to know something’s amiss.”

Vevila/Michael

((Likewise! Your description of Vevila was so beautiful! I wish I could make her sound that enchanting! o_o I'm taking notes. haha. Look out Cherry, Vevvie's coming for Michael!))

From somewhere far-off and distant, music had begun to play. And not the throbbing, brain curdling rhythms the DJ churned out with pulsing electronic beats. Pure, heart-rending piano. It made her old soul weep from somewhere deep inside of her; the soul she had lost long ago. The sliver of humanity that remained wailed in yearning, suppressed under the beast that now took residence in her, squelching her human heart. Vevila's intense eyes snapped up to the stage. Who could be playing such a melody? Certainly a Toreador, yes? The captivating woman who sat at the piano, however, was no Toreador. Most likely not even a vampire. How intriguing.

From beside her Vevila heard the sultry voice of Valerian cascading over Sarah. Poor thing, she didn't stand a chance if he really went for her. Vevila's lips broke into a smile that mirrored his. What a charming creature he truly was. As his cool hand ensnared the young woman's hand in his own, the grace and allure of his movements only broadened her smile. Heavens, how he made her proud of her clan. Had she been a human, her knees certainly would have buckled at the very instant his lips would have grazed her skin. There was a subtle, unspoken seduction in his every movement. Merely the intonation of his velvety voice was enough to send chills rifling along one's spine. His skin was a pure, milky hue, devoid of any flaws. There was a way about him that afforded him the ability to say precisely what the person he addressed wanted to hear, to touch them precisely the way they wanted to be touched. Valerian drew out the desire in people, and for this, he was almost lust incarnate. Vevila's gaze danced over to the young blonde. Sarah seemed to be faring well, despite the overwhelming charm that was Valerian.

A loud crash from nearby sent their heads snapping in the direction of the racket. Apparently, several kindred had been foolish enough to quarrel. Here, of all places, in the presence of humans. Vevila was young and naive, but even she was aware of the decorum necessary in public.

"Excuse me, ladies."

Vevila pouted adorably and gave a nod of understanding. "Duty calls," she flashed a tiny smile and winked demurely as he strode off to handle the ruffians. "Some people..." she muttered to Sarah. Now that she was no longer distracted, however, Vevila's gaze wandered back to the lone pianist. There was an immediate respect and appreciation for her. Partly due to her clanship, and partly her own nature.

"Pardon me, Sarah dear, I just must speak with that talented woman!" Vevila chimed merrily, seizing the girl's hand and setting a delicate kiss atop it. "Lovely meeting you, and thank you for your help! You're too kind. We'll see each other soon, I'm certain." Another wink and she was breaking through the crowd, heading for the stage.

Vevila ascended the stairs to the stage two by two with the practiced precision and confidence of a seasoned professional. Her heels made no difference; she was quick, elegant, and moved as if she were dancing along barefooted. Atop the stage a few whistles from the crowd were emitted and she waved them off with a coy smile. Her sheet music was still clamped firmly in her pale hands, and she found the disc jockey she had promised her music to. He took it gratefully and slid it into a briefcase, giving her a peck on the cheek in gratitude. With that settled, she approached the piano.

She did not walk as much as she moved by gliding. It almost looked as if she didn't touch the ground because her movements were so fluid, so effortless. Her elbows came to rest atop the glossy ebony surface and she propped her face up between two slender hands. Wine-colored eyes fixed on the face of the elegant pianist, and when she had concluded playing, Vevila clapped enthusiastically.

"That was brilliant, superb, moving. I feel as if you delved into my very soul, you have a true gift!" Her words of praise spilled out melodiously, like a burbling stream that had no end. "Your talent is astounding! Please, some day, afford me the honor of accompanying you, can you permit me that?" Vevila's eyes were aglow with the appreciation that all Toreador had for the arts, captivated by the beauty and artistry of the piano. That love for artistic finery had overwhelmed her, as it sometimes did, and she was temporarily lost in her daze of mirth.

((...eee, she's so over the top. xD ))

"I'll take care of it. You two just scurry on out of here."

Ada bristled as Valerian spoke. Who the H*** did he think he was? She stopped brushing her dress and looked up at him. "F*** you." She said thickly. "Bee, if your still willing to help me would you mind either escorting our drunk friend here behind the coffee shop next door or buying the nice young ladies over there another drink?"

“Ada,” he addressed the beautiful young Tremere in a low hiss, shaking his head, “Next time think before assaulting kine so brazenly.

Ada glowered at Mihael. "I'm not a child nor a juicebag human, Mihael. I'm fully aware I made a mistake and I don't need you to waste your time stating the obvious." She snapped. Ada tried to ignore the waves of anger rolling off of Valerian. Turning back to him to said. "Someone might want to deal with your nosy musician over there."
