Show off YOUR ride!

Welcome to Car Lovers Anonymous! This is the place to post as many pictures of your ride(s) as you'd like. Got a beater-car? Post it up! We don't discriminate against rust.

Fresh-Prince 28th Sep 2009 3:07 PM

Oh, you have a Mazdaspeed3! Would you like one for TS3?

This is my car, a 1997 Honda Civic, except it's Teal in color.

schitzwa 28th Sep 2009 5:49 PM

I don't actually drive but I sit in this car a lot and I helped buy it and I help pay for its maintenance so technically its my shared ride with added bonus of a chauffeur!

Its a 2001 Vauxhall Vectra SRi. It has a custom grill, bumper and wheels which are glittery :-P

beeps 28th Sep 2009 9:35 PM

JcHnd... Very nice! I'd hate to own a car that I can't drive though (LOL)!

Fresh-Prince... Have you done any modifications to it?

schitzwa... Glittery paint? Interesting!

I'm more of a TS2 player actually... is there a Mazdaspeed out there for TS2 do you know?

Fresh-Prince 28th Sep 2009 9:47 PM

If modifications means getting it to the garage every two weeks, then yes

oooh I hope this doesn't count as necromancy, but I just had to join in!

My Baby:

Porsche Boxter.

There is no substitute (with the exception of a Ferrari Enzo)

beeps 2nd Oct 2009 12:47 AM

Wow, nice Porsche vilverin! What are the specs on that lovely machine?

vilverin 4th Oct 2009 9:27 PM

Well, I'm not exactly a car expert, but I do know:

It has a 2,687 cc 2.7 liters 6 horizontal mid engine with 85.5 mm bore, 78 mm stroke, 11 compression ratio, double overhead cam, variable valve timing/camshaft and four valves per cylinder

Power: SAE and 168 kW , 225 HP @ 6,300 rpm; 192 ft lb , 260 Nm @ 4,700 rpm
-Multi-point injection fuel system
-Main 64 liter premium unleaded fuel tank

Handling:

-ABS
-Four disc brakes including four ventilated discs
-Immobilizer
-Spacesaver steel rim internal spare wheel

And that's about where my knowledge ends... Anything else I would have to look up. I am pathetic.

Is the redline on Boxsters really that low? I always thought those flat 4's and 6's were more peakier than that.

Anyway, here are mine.
1) 2003 Mazda Protege5, for daily driving in the rust belt. Just google it- it's quite boring.

2) 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air, because everyone needs to have at least 1 irresponsible purchase. It's also much cleaner now- this is just a few months after I bought it and got it running at the previous owner's house.

Engine is a 305- total excrement. Got a 350 from a '91 Corvette ready for donation.

Now that it's actually at my house, I can take better pictures if you fellows want me to.

Another classic owner, nice to meet you.

My baby.

A 1969 Volvo 1800S. Simply stunning.

cbingaman89 9th Mar 2010 9:25 PM

Just thought I'd pop in here, just found this group...I'm an odd car guy right now.

1)Started driving - last month: 1999 Dodge Neon
2)Day after sold car until now: 1986 Mazda B2000 (aka a beater car til I go into the Navy. :-P )
3)After I finish A School, I want to buy a Volkswagon GTI...quite badly. ^_^

There's my two cents, lol.

Zinthos 9th Mar 2010 10:13 PM

I don't drive yet, but my mum drives this:

It's a 2003 Volkswagen Polo, in purple. That's not a picture of our actual car, but it looks just like that.
I'll be learning to drive in it in just under 2 years!

garrett92 10th Mar 2010 11:02 PM

I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant. I've owned it since 2003, when it had just under 7,000 miles on it. Its been a great car! Its now up to 151,000 miles and haven't had a problem yet. Looks just like this...

(obviously isn't the actual car)...

Alessio^89^ 25th Mar 2010 2:29 PM

After 7 years of being carless, I've now bought this;

Pictures taken by the dealer for the add.
Got it home last friday, but it's way too hot to work on it (needs some cleaaning and tidying up )
I'm really happy with it!
