Real q why can't super important people at work read or follow instructions? It seems their brains only recognise things directly related to their core activities- everything else? Not real. Then of course they proceed to throw hissy fits when they dont do the 1 very important thing they were asked to do many times and then play the incompetent card. Like uhuh sure, totally, we believe you. (sticks them on the problem person list to be hated forever)

Denying their requests is pretty fun though because like procedure is procedure for a reason so like nothing we can do even if we do know all the secret codes and stuff. I need a new job

People that just always stand in the way. Like move your conversation away from the doorway/exit/stairs/whatever. Also put your phone away and doomscroll some other time, yeah?
Some people really just don't know how to exist outside of their own house.

^ Yeah. People always choose the worst places imaginable to stand and chat, especially in public places. In front of the stairs? Yup! Narrowest place in the whole shop? Absolutely! Block the entire walkway? You betcha!

As for instructions, sometimes it's got to do with whether a person was properly trained to do something. Started in a new job recently, and both for myself and for others I've noticed how poor training makes the job more difficult, both for yourself and for others. Get stuck with someone who does a poor job at training? You can lag behind for several months until someone points out what's going wrong. But if you got the proper training from someone who was capable at handing their trainees a proper "base skill kit" of knowledge, that problem wouldn't be a problem, now would it? Also found out some people who'd been there longer than I had must have had absolutely crap training, because even some absolute basics clearly weren't covered.
Then again, some people just don't seem to care (either the person doing the instructing or the trainee, occasionally both. Sometimes even bosses - I swear, if they'd put more time into training people properly, so many things could've been better around workplaces... The amount of times we've been given new tools, especially digital ones, to just "figure it out" is laughable, especially since several have an UI that almost require a master IT degree to "figure out")

It would be great if it stopped raining. I just need a couple of days for things to dry out so I plant 4 forsythia bushes.

Internet whiplash is no joke today.

First we have people stockpiling junk from Shein and Temu; because excessive amounts of cheap clothes, hair clips and whatever other crap people hoard will be useful in a actual emergency. In one part of the following video, a person had a tote of clothes from Shein she hasn't even opened or worn yet; then complains about how she bought doubles of stuff. Ma'am... take the hint. If you're buying doubles of stuff, maybe it's time to put the credit cards away. Just sayin'.

TikTok is promoting reckless shopping on shein before tariffs hit

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUmS1nmp0kU

Then on the other side of TikTok, people are treating Easter like it is Christmas.

Wait... Is Today EASTER or CHRISTMAS?!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBA26WKYdjU

First people are bitching because they're broke and can't pay their bills, but somehow they manage to find money to flex with. checks US debt clock Yup, all this crap is going on credit cards. Is anybody surprised? I didn't think so.

All plots lost on all fronts. Check!

Trying to find a set of recolors I'm almost sure I've made - I can roughly remember how one of the swatches looked, and some of the name, and I'm reasonably sure I posted a picture of it somewhere, but there's no traces of it anywhere - not in my files, not where I thought I posted the picture, not in my picture archive - nowhere! AAARGH!

Knowing myself, I'll probably find it when randomly browsing something else, a month from now... :/

EDIT: Found it! Looks like I've not made the files yet, so that's why they're not anywhere, but did find the original project folder from the trial run in Bodyshop, and the mesh. Probably took me an hour or two (and I was in the middle of looking for something else, not even sure what I was looking for...)

Also, got an annoying kids' song stuck in my head (most of the past week). Likely due to work, but also because somebody insisted on dragging that thing up again from the depths of the VastOceanOfForgetfulness (after it had finally managed to sink down there), just for 5 minutes of entertainment for Little one a couple days ago. Do I regret the decision? Depends for how long the song sticks... I've had 2+ week earworms before... (at least I can remember the words, so it's not the constant "what's the text again?" type of earworm, just the "get out of my brain!" kind).

I'm experiencing a very bad cold at the moment, and I know I need to rest, but my brain has decided it needs to focus on my inability to breathe properly and my aching joints, instead of sleeping.

My Blu-Ray drive died on me. I also had to do a factory reset for good measure so everything is refreshed...but it means the pain in the ass part of reinstalling everything I use on regular basis that wasn't on the drive by default.

This will probably set me back at least $150 USD for the drive and it's taking forever to reset my computer.

Bessie 3, my gaming PC tower, is fine, but I think sometimes it required a reset after so much inactivity and crap. I named the PC Bessie 3 as a nod to Bessie, the road paver machine from "Cars" by Pixar.

It's bad enough that the lifelines involved with my stay in New Jersey is dependent on my grandparents...

TikTok's "Recession Indicator" Trend Is CRAZY...

Ma'am... STFU with your narrative that "people should be allowed to have nice things". I don't know what the economy is like in Australia, but I do know what people have been doing for the past 4 years in the states. There has been very little money saved. Do your damn research before parroting crap from TikTok. They lie.... a lot!

Student Loans Are DESTROYING Paychecks (No One’s Paying)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SI7BBYll2NU

Less than 40% of people with student loans have actually been paying them.

Student loans were interest free for 3 years. Instead of students paying down their loans, they thought the previous administration was going to make all student loan debt go away. These people spent over 3 years not paying anything. The Supreme Court said no, that isn't going to change no matter who sits in the WH. Instead of paying off loans, let's see what some of these people have been doing.

33 Minutes of THE WORST Car Payments in HISTORY... | Car Loan Crisis

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPJie9ms89E

People be out here trying to convince the masses that a $1,000 + plus dollar car payment is a flex. It's not!

If people didn't do all these things, paid off their loans and credit cards, and lived within their means, they could afford to buy the occasional "nice thing". Nobody is required to eat eggs. Nobody is required to spend $1,000.00 on take out junk food and the list goes on. Cooking at home is something everybody should know how to do. It's healthier and cheaper. I'm not talking about the people that spend thousands on processed crap from Costco, ect...

Since when are people having their nails done a need? Yet another problem. People don't know the difference between a actual need and a want. Spending a couple hundred on having nails done is a want, not a need.

As for the tariff thing and how everybody is mad because their shopping addictions to places like Temu have been disrupted, there are plenty of videos about that. China doesn't like / want tariffs, but they want the globe to pay top dollar for their crap that ends up in landfills. I personally am tired of paying more for crap that breaks in less than year. I'm to the moon with the news that manufacturing is coming back the the US.

Mowers... I hate mowers so much. For some reason I'm incredibly sensitive to the constant, droning noise and the vibrations. Even when I fully block them out, somehow I still feel them.

The suburbanites that have moved out here to be "country" in recent years seem to believe they must mow their 10 acre plots every other day! Surprise the sun hasn't completely baked them yet!
