Default Boarderless Gaming Not Working for Sims 3
Hi all,

Don't know what happened; it was fine one day, and now it's not. Every time I go to launch the Sims 3 and then launch Borderless Gaming, the game only opens in windowed mode. When I use the cheat or the settings window to put it in full-screen mode, it does, but then I cannot click the accept button for some reason, and it times out, reverting to windowed mode. For some reason, my dual screen is also locked during this, too. Does anyone know what could be happening? I've reached out to Boarderless's creator but have not heard anything back and it has been really long since I've been able to play the sims 3

Smooth Patch by LazyDutchess

1) Make sure the GPU drivers are up to date and that the game recognizes your GPU (in Device Settings file [Found: 1, Matched: 1]). Make a clean installation to the driver if needed.

2) Check that the add-on is installed in the correct location and that the game is patched with it.

3) There is a file called TS3Patch.txt. In this file, Borderless must be set to 1.

4) Check the in-game options to ensure Enable Fullscreen Mode is turned off, and set the resolution at the maximum supported by your monitor.

Edit: Step 4 is probably the reason that the game runs windowed, whenever everything is done in the first steps. Restart the game after changing anything is Graphics section.

Did you fix it?

Edit: After every GPU driver update, the game’s settings are restored to their default values. That may be the reason why the game was borderless before and now it isn’t. You now have to reset everything in the Options menu to what you had before the GPU driver update.
