Default How to install animations and sounds?
Hello simmers! can you help me with this one?

I downloaded TSO bunkbeds from this Site and I'm not able to make them work... It conteins BFC files and I don't know where they should be placed. Also WAW, HIT, HOT and HSM Files.

I don't have Damon's pack but I do have the beds it's based off. Their original readme says:

Quote:
Windows PC users
----------------
Unzip the bunkbed folder and all its contents to
C:\ProgramFiles\Maxis\TheSims\Downloads\

or
put the bunkbeds into
C:\ProgramFiles\Maxis\TheSims\GameData\UserObjects\
and the animations into
C:\ProgramFiles\Maxis\TheSims\GameData\Skins\

(I have the animations... both places... 0_o (The objects are only in Downloads, I didn't ALSO put them in UserObjects))

As for the sounds, cracking open the hot file in a text editor reveals that it expects the sounds to be directly in the top level of your Downloads folder. (I don't see sounds for the bunk beds I have in my Downloads, but the zip of the set you're using is the one I checked.)

I put the animations in the Skins folder and the iffs in my User Objects folder. I didn't use the sound files at all, didn't put them anywhere, and didn't do anything with the .hit, .hot, or .hsm files either.

But it is working fine, animations AND sound.

I am using Sims Complete Collection on an XP laptop, if that makes any difference.

Hello, the sound files (inside the "sounds" folder) should be placed in your Downloads folder.(e.g Downloads\bunkbed_bottom_getin.wav)
Regarding the animation files, I only see .bcf files. Please note that if the corresponding .cfp file is missing, the object animations will not work.
You can download the necessary .cfp file from the following link: http://www.simfileshare.net/download/5864525/

For some reason I'm terrible at including all the animation files. I'm gonna fix did this when I have the time. It's what happens when your play testers all have the TSO animations already installed...
