HomecrafterPlus and In-game Counterpart Files
Technical information on HomecrafterPlus-made (HCP) and in-game files in The Sims 2: walls, floors, and ground cover/terrain paints.
Walls
- HCP wallpaper files consists of:
- 1 object xml file
- 1 texture image (txtr) file
- 1 text lists file
There may be a directory of compressed files when at least one file is compessed.
- In-game wallpaper files can have:
- 1 object xml file
- >=1 texture image (txtr) file
- 1 text lists file
The extra txtr file(s) can be a bump-map, an environment map, etc.
The txmt file type for all HCP wallpaper files and for most in-game wallpaper files is "wallpaperbump".
Only a few Wallpapers have txmt files of the "Wallpaperpool" type which is for caustic animation.
Wallmasks are actually a type of wallpaper.

- 1 text lists file

- in-game floor tile files can have:
- 1 object xml file
- >=1 texture image (txtr) file
- 1 text lists file
The extra txtr file(s) can be a bump-map, an environment map, etc.
The txmt file type for all HCP floor tiles and for most in-game floor tiles is "floor".
Only a few Floor Tiles have txmt files of the "floorpool" type which is for caustic animation.
There are some other rare types of floor tiles such as swim-pool surface floor tiles, swim-pool depth floor tiles, neighbourhood water floor tiles, road floor tiles, grid tiles, etc...

- HCP terrain paint files consists of:
- 1 floor xml files
- 2 texture image (txtr) files
- 1 text lists file
There may be a directory of compressed files when at least one file is compressed.
However, an in-game terrain paint can have bump-map(s).
