Luna Class Starship

Captain William T. Riker's first independant command, the USS Titan, is a Luna class starship. I'm don't care much for the Titan novels, but I really like the design of the ship. While at first appearance the Luna Class looks like a "Sovereign Light", this is not the case. The Luna project began in the mid-2370's and production began in 2378. The Luna class implements all Starfleet's latest technologies and with the possible exception of the Prometheus class is Starfleet's most advanced starship. Also, the Luna class is about 2/3 the size of the Sovereign class, but is more multi-role and exploration oriented. (The Sovereign class is a lot more combat oriented)

Built on a 5x4 lot, it accomodates a crew of 10-12. Only minimal furnishing (bridge, engineering, and shuttle bay) is provided. The deckplan looks like this:

Deck 1- Transporter room, engineering, science, non-essential systems (The room with brown carpet could double as hydroponics in a pinch)
Deck 2- Bridge, ready room, mess, astrometrics, observation lounge, sickbay, non-essential systems
