Faster Nectar Making and/or More Bottles

UPDATE 31/10/12 - All 35 mods have been updated to include the new FairySkillLevelRepair line. Re-download and replace any existing older versions of the Faster Nectar Making mod to ensure that Fairy's can Fairy Repair Nectar Makers at the right level.

UPDATE 3 - 17/11/11 - Uploaded a few challenges based off Gonmags original 50-33 Adventures / faster nectar making challenges mod located here: http://modthesims.info/d/409560 that are compatible with Pets/1.26 for those interested that rather than reduce the challenge requirements for fulfilling the Flavorful Feet, Master of Nectar Making and Vizard of Vine challenges (like Gonmags original mod linked above did), actually increase the difficulty in fulfilling these challenges and this makes sense when you've got a nectar maker that can be up to 10 times more efficient than the games default. Challenges come in multiples of x10, x50 and x100 and in a number of versions to suit your preferences, REMEMBER ONLY CHOOSE ONE .PACKAGE FILE WITHIN THE ARCHIVE YOU DOWNLOAD!

UPDATE 2 - 09/11/11 - Uploaded requested variant of faster button pushing and more bottles (which is now available for download) for those seeking a more realistic kind of operation and don't want to fiddle around with the running time of the nectar maker (i.e. the time it takes for the nectar to be made AFTER the fruit has been squished and AFTER the machines button are pushed to operate the machine). For convenience i've uploaded the 5 speed multiples of x2,x3,x4,x5 and x10, into one archive for this particular requested version and i'll be doing that with any subsequent requested variants of this mod for convenience. Remember, as always, if you opt for this version, YOU ONLY CHOOSE ONE OF THE .PACKAGES WITHIN THE ARCHIVE!

UPDATE - 08/11/11, The three x4 versions that reduce push button and squishing fruit times fourfold have been re-uploaded and changed to 7.25 minutes for button pushing/squishing fruit instead of 8 as 7.25 more precisely divides into 30 four times hence the change, 30 minutes being EAs default time for squishing fruit and button pushing.

What This Mod Does

This is a tuning mod that will reduce the time taken to make nectar. More specifically (depending on the version of the mod you can choose) it can reduce the time taken to complete each step in the nectar making process, from the pushing of the buttons, to the actual running of the machine in producing the Nectar (Running Time) to even the Squishing of the fruit and can also (subject to which version of the mod you choose) increase the amount of Nectar bottles produced per batch of 10 fruits. This mod wasn't made with the intention of achieving Nectar challenges faster (although that will inevitably happen if you go for the higher versions of this mod), but rather, it was done for those seeking to take their nectar making to the next level, for example, in line with the general examples mentioned in the opening paragraph. This mod SPECIFICALLY ADDRESSES THE RUNNING SPEED AND FINAL OUTPUT OF THE NECTAR MAKER ITSELF AND INCREASES IT'S EFFICIENCY IN-GAME. There are many versions of this mod available to choose from to suit your preferences. If for example, you download a x10 version of the mod like the one that just affects "the running time" of the Nectar maker, then the running speed will decrease ten fold to 12 minutes (compared to EAs default time of 120 minutes), and if for example, you opt for a x5 version of this mod that affects the time taken to push buttons, the machines running time and how many bottles are produced, the time taken to push buttons and the running time will be five times less (6 minutes for button pushing and 24 minutes for running time) than EAs defaults of 30 minutes and 120 minutes respectively and the amount of bottles produced will be five times more than EAs default going up from 3 to 15 per batch of 10 fruits. Multipliers for flavour enhancers and chances of good and bad recipes being made remain unaltered, and my reasoning for this, is that it is well established what recipes work and what recpies don't work, and if I were to have changed those values, it would've caused unnecessary confusion and grief as to why what are supposedly good recipes are turning out as absolutely terrible or mediocre.

Here is a breakdown of what the changes are for each type of mod and multiple, to EAs default production times and final output for the Nectar Maker:

x2 Mod Options

Faster running time only x2 (two fold): Running Time (RT) reduces from 120 (EA Default) to 60 minutes;

More bottles only x2 (two fold): Bottles Made (BM) increases from 3 (EA Default) to 6;

Faster button pushing and running time x2 (two fold): Button Pushing (BP) reduces from 30 (EA Default) to 15 mins and RT reduces from 120 (EA Default) to 60m;

NEW - Faster button pushing and more bottles x 2 (two fold) Button Pushing (BP) reduces from 30 to 15 mins and BM increases from 3 to 6;

Faster running time and more bottles made x2 (two fold): RT reduces from 120 (EA Default) to 60m and BM increases from 3 (EA Default) to 6;

Let me know in the comments if any of the mods downloaded are not consistent with the numbers posted here and don't work as intended, and i'll amend the XML file of that particular mod version and re-upload as required.

Compatibility

This mod was made with the latest 1.26 patch but in order to get proper use out of the mod, you need to have the World Aventures Expansion Pack installed so that you can buy the L'amour des Fruits Nectar Maker and be able to use the Nectar Maker to produce bottles of Nectar in the first place.

This mod edits the NectarMaker (Nectar Maker Speed) and NectarSkill (Nectar Challenges) XML files and will conflict with any other mod that edits the same two XML files.

Installation

Simply drag and drop/cut & paste/copy & paste the .package file into your Mods\Packages as normal.
