"Challenge Everything" Startup Logo Restored! [Compatible with UC]

Hey guys! After playing TS3 for the past two years, I've decided it was time to go back to TS2. Just reliving the good old times, you know? And that's when I realized I couldn't do that, at least not entirely. And why is that?

Well, if you're anything like me, you probably have grown up with the iconic "Challenge Everything" logo EA Games had back in the day, before they changed it up to the one The Sims 3 also ended up having, but in a more enhanced, high quality version. Since I consider myself some sort of nostalgia freak, I wasn't able to fully "relive the good old times" like I was planning to because of that small yet significant (to me) change.

To sum it up, the days of mourning the old and forgotten logo are now gone, since I managed to recover the original startup logo from a legitimate copy of The Sims 2 Base Game that I have.

Install Instructions

Head over to the directory where you installed The Sims 2 (e.g. Program Files/EA Games/The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection) The location may vary based on your own install path or the game version you might have. This mod was only tested with Ultimate Collection and may or may not work with other versions, which is why I think it's important to make sure you BACKUP THE FILE first. However, since it's just a simple video file that needs to be replaced, I don't see why it wouldn't work on any other versions as well, but you can never be too careful. I haven't tested the mod with the new Legacy version, so keep that in mind and use with caution.

Anyway, once you reached your install directory, head over to your latest installed pack folder (which in UC's case would be "Fun with Pets/SP9") then proceed to "TSData/Res/Movies"

Just replace the "ealogo_audio" file with the one provided in my archive and there you go! Your startup logo should be changed once you next boot up your game.
