Leftover Infant Traits Mod

As of Patch 1.120.117 (December 2, 2025), this mod is obsolete and is no longer necessary. If you have it installed, it should be removed!

Maybe you've encountered this error in Growing Together: a Sim (Toddler or older), suddenly spasms into a distorted mess, before recovering as though nothing had happened. If you're lucky, you get a notification that explains that the game just tried to use the Infant Quirk "Frequently Sneezes," or "Frequently Hiccups," or "Gassy," and so tried to use an Infant animation on a grown Sim, to horrible effect! Sims may even show disgust at being constantly fed bottled milk, or show signs of the Wiggly Trait well into adulthood, with the "Ready for Wiggles" buff showing up even into their senior years. Basically, if some Infant behaviour is left over into adulthood, you may have encountered this bug.

This bug happens because you a Sim, who used to be an Infant with an unrevealed Quirk (or the Wiggly Trait), was aged into an older Sim via CAS. This can only be done with the help of cas.fulleditmode. Unfortunately, it seems like CAS overlooks the code that would normally tidy these things up!  If you encounter this bug for other reasons, feel free to leave me a message, but the mod should still fix the problem. If it doesn't, leave me a message for that, instead!

This mod adds a button that will fix the problem by removing all Infant Quirks from a grown Sim, along with several Infant buffs and other possible troublemakers. To access it, turn on cheats, and then Shift-Click your Sim and select Cheat Sim Info -> Fix Infant Traits. The problem should now be solved!
