8 Sets of Custom Paintings for your Artists' Collections!

July 7th, 2025: The title and the cover art said "9 sets" instead of 8. My mistake. I can't count, apparently. I changed both, though the file still says "nine". I didn't want to change that because it's just the name that's wrong, not the files themselves, and I don't want it to show up as an update.

WHAT THIS IS
A collection of nine sets of paintings that you can easily place into your “paintings” folder for your sims to paint, already edited, cropped, and resized for them to be able to show up in the game with no issues. (Although, if you find an issue, please tell me so that I can fix it!)

WHY I DID THIS
A lot of us might be thinking this is quite unnecessary, right? We all know how to import custom drawings into the game for our sims to paint. Heck! I could draw a little house and a tree in paint and put in in the game. Easy as that!

Of course! I agree. This might be unnecessary, but it’s still a task to find the right pictures that look good inside the game, crop them, resize them, test them, etc. I really enjoy finding these images and putting them in my game, so I thought I’d share them with anyone who’d like to use them.

In this case, I was inspired by one of my failed attempts at a Build a City Challenge. I had my first sim to become an artist, and I wanted them to open the first art gallery in the town. Also, I didn’t want them to draw random things and hang them up at the gallery wall and convince myself they were supposed to belong to the same painter, let alone the same collection. Therefore, I looked for a bunch of pictures that looked similar to each other, so that I could pretend my sim really painted them, and it’d be believable. With grouped photos, you could make your sim(s) create paintings that really feel like a cohesive collection.

WHAT'S IN HERE
I decided I wanted to find free and fair use images. I doubt there’ll ever be a copyright issue with real life artists not wanting sims to paint their paintings, but I still didn’t feel comfortable just grabbing whatever image I wanted, hence I looked around, mainly in pixabay, and I tried to find like images to create these “collections”. I added an extra one that I generated with AI, since that’s free use as well, though I’m not paying for a full subscription at the time and there’s a limit of how many pictures you can generate, so I only did one. I also included another one that’s some of my currently favorite girls in my game, just because I wanted to and I thought it looked cool.
