Sometimes you just want your Sims to go for a nice, slow drive. This mod lets you actually pick their driving speed. Throw in my Car Radio mod, slow down, put on some music, and just enjoy the ride.

Currently supported languages: English, Russian, Traditional Chinese, French, Spainish (Spain and Mexico).

Features:

- Change speeds while driving: Just click on the car your Sim is in, open the new "Speed..." menu, and pick your pace.
- Three speeds to choose from: They automatically adapt to whatever car you're driving:
  • High (1.0) - This is the car's default (maximum) in-game speed.
  • Medium (0.60) - A nice, normal pace.
  • Low (0.30) - Perfect for a slow, scenic cruise.

Compatibility:

- It's a lightweight script mod. It doesn't override any core game files or write to your save file, so it's 100% safe to add or remove anytime.

XML Tuning (via s3pe):

- kSpeedLowFactor: Decide exactly how slow "Low" is. Default: 0.30 (30% of max speed).
- kSpeedMediumFactor: Decide how fast "Medium" is. Default: 0.60 (60% of max speed).
- kSpeedHighFactor: The "High" speed limit. Default: 1.0 (please leave this at 1.0, setting it higher might break things!).
- kHideDuringJoyRide: Feel free to completely ignore this one. It's inactive for now and just waiting for my upcoming "JoyRide" mod (which is still in testing).
- kResetWhenParked: Reset the chosen speed when the ride ends. Default: True (set to "False" if you want the vehicle to remember its speed until the end of the game session).
- kAffectBikes: Choose whether the mod's functionality also applies to motorcycles and bicycles. Default: False.

Install:

- Just drop CarSpeed.package into your Mods/Packages folder. Done!
