Expedition: Volcano Park - No EP Required

Welcome, everyone, to Volcano Park! This once-terrifying volcano has been dormant now for nearly two hundred years, and our Sim Scientists figure it probably won't erupt again, giving our local politicians the idea to open it to the public, and make a little extra money selling souveniers. So step right up, sign your waivers, and make the daring climb to the top of the volcano!!

This is the first in the Expedition series of community lots. Your sims are welcome to climb to the top of the volcano using narrow, rickety bridges with no railings, and hope that it won't decide to become active again during their visit. The volcano has long since filled up with water, so it really should be safe. I mean, how could lava come shooting out of the water? That's what I thought.

The area surrounding the volcano is very fertile, and since its last eruption plenty of lovely trees and flowers have sprung up. There are some places on the volcano's side where lava has exposed bare rock, and there nothing can grow, but elsewhere the flora is lovely. There is a gift shop at the base, as well as a small playground and picnic area. Relax on the ground, or prove that you are the bravest Sim of all and wave to your friends, family, and coworkers from the top.

From the top of the volcano, you can see that in the distance the land is not so fertile...

This park provides some excellent photo opportunities. Since I build so much, I hardly play the game at all, and my sims will likely not visit for quite some time, but I would love to see some shots of all of your sims exploring the volcano. If you get some good ones, please feel free to share them here!

Custom Content:
There are several textures and a recolored door included with the package. This is strange, because I didn't use any of these things in creating the park, but I can't seem to get rid of them so they have remained included. Warning: if any one of these textures is removed, for some reason I lose all of the texture work in my lot, so please keep this in mind before removing them. All of them were originally found on the Exchange.

Please remember that you can always use the Clean Installer to remove unwanted custom content from a Sims2Pack before installing it.
