Description:
Contemporary starter house for 2-3 Sims, furnished; some landscaping/decoration. Designed as a row house -- a second, identical one would fit on the same lot.

1 x double bedroom
1 x single bedroom
2 x bathroom
1 x kitchen/dining
1 x living room

Basic appliances included: lights, toilet, bathtub, fridge, kitchen sink, trashcan, phone, burglar alarm, smoke detector, bookshelf. This house also has an easel. There's enough room to add a carport.

Expandability: Second floor or basement; also there's space for another house on the same lot (row house style - build it 2 squares from the left side of the lot and the row will be evenly spaced in neighborhood view if you place several of these).

Recommended hack: For the row house option, get some of Inge Jones' keyholder doors (www.simlogical.com, under Downloads > TS2 > Hacked Doors) or a similar access management system -- otherwise your sims won't know which house is theirs.


Note:
If you get an "expansion pack data required" error upon installation, use Clean Installer instead of the Maxis one. Apparently this is a known issue (not specific to this download), see this thread describing the problem and this post (daysies) explaining the workaround.
