All of the portrait, still life and memorize scene paintings have black spots and speckles, making them plain ugly. These are created by .dds image filters which are used when the camera shutter is clicked for the paintings. I have replaced these filters with a filter of my construction. All is now clear...

The new mod is a High-res version, giving images a bit clearer and sharper. The over-saturation of colors is removed, so wysiwyg more or less, the exception being extra color from the sunlight: during sunrise and before sunset the outdoor light is filled with red, which shows on the paintings. Photographs taken with the in-game cameras, cell phone also, are almost screenshot quality.

The screenshot below shows Portraits on the top row, the rest are Still Life. A good self-portrait can be made by choosing still life, rotating the camera behind the easel and zooming in on the artist. The bottom right still-life is a somber painting using the sepia color, like in my previous mod (the extra file). Also the blue or the purple/pink somber may be chosen at random instead of this sepia. As well as the previous main mod, that extra file used previously for these somber colors, ShimrodsStillLifeSomberColors117, must be removed when using this new mod as the sepia replacement is already included in the new file.



In this new mod I have replaced seven ScreenGrabFilter _IMG resources (found in the Fullbuild0) and 20 ScreenGrabRamp _IMG resources which give brightness and contrast and the colors.

This mod will function with all versions of the Sims 3 regardless of patch level, and won't conflict with any known mods or other CC.
