The Log Cabin CFE Experiment - Unfurnished

It's been a long time since I really enjoyed just building in game. Something reignited my joy (building lots and sharing them was the very first uploading I ever did) of building. It's been quite a while since I thought one of my lots might be worth sharing. Log cabins are one of my very favorite houses (brick houses are my other favorites). The following is my first ever real log cabin attempt. Let's take a tour.

The Log Cabin CFE Experiment









This is a spacious 3 floor log cabin. The lowest floor is the garage with 2 floors of living space above. There is only one bedroom, making it perfect for a couple just starting out. When they're ready to expand their family, another bedroom or two - 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs- can easily be added. This lot is unfurnished with established trees and a few flowering bushes out front. The house is wallpapered and has wood or tile flooring throughout. Your sims are free to change them to something they like better. The realtor has noted to never hire that interior decorator she met outside the post office ever again.. terrible, just terrible. He even left his paste buckets behind! Outside lighting is included, as is a burglar alarm and smoke detector and mini blinds in the garage. There had been recent problems in the neighborhood with burglaries and a mysterious fire or two, so the realty office felt it was better to be safe than sorry.

This lot was built with CFE so the roof is kind of plain and boring. However! Your sims now have an attic (the upper floor) that they can use and they won't have to worry about getting rained or snowed on in bad weather- it's seasons proof! The landing is fully usable, as is the 2-tile wide long space going lengthwise on the top floor. (Perfect for a little hidey-hole or as storage space. Hey, add some nursery furniture and it could be a nursery.. a bit dark maybe, but that's what lamps are for!)
