1920's Vintage Home Design ~ 1-click Foundation 5B Tudor Revival, 61st in the Series

The sixty-first, and penultimate house in my "1920s Series" - inspired by 62 Beautiful Vintage Home Designs from the 1920s - is the "Chamberlin." It is a Tudor Revival style dwelling that, according to the brochure, has "6 Rooms, Bath, Toilet, Dining Nook and Sun Parlor" - to which I have added a finished basement and a garage (with upstairs living quarters,) all on a nicely decorated larger lot which includes a small decorative pond. . I really like this one!

*ahem* ...anyway By the time I was done messing playing around with it, it had grown from it's original 3 bedrooms to 5 bedrooms. I added two quasi-apartment living spaces - one down in the basement, and one over the garage. I also doubled it's original 1.5 baths - I added a half bath with the basement apartment, and a full bath to the garage apartment. I figure an estate this well kept is gonna need help, right? So, a gardener/cook couple can live over the garage, and a maid (or butler) can live in the basement - or something to that effect...

The brochure continues, telling us, "...The interior is planned for modern housekeeping and includes telephone cabinet, medicine cabinet, kitchen cabinet, mail box, rear door delivery receptacle and a dining nook." So, as the original plan indicates, you will find telephones in the corner of the dining room AND upstairs in the Master Bedroom. Medicine cabinets are in the bathrooms. For kitchen cabinets, I used CC-Free plate-shelves. As is the custom of my hood, the mailbox is at the street... Deliveries could come to the back kitchen door, but they didn't this time. And, the dining nook is, as indicated, in the kitchen.

They say you should always save the best for last - and it was a toss up between this one and #62 - but, after prepping the pictures and getting it ready for upload... I think I might like this one the best. Let me know what you think - I love reading your comments I hope you have a family who will enjoy living here!

This lot has been adjusted with Mootilda's GridAdjuster to have a cute little 1-click foundation.
AND it has a basement (a regular dug-out basement, not a no-slope/page-down-to-the-Nether basement.)
It is also Big Dog approved (Thanks to Shasta and Huge Lunatic.)


Please take a tour through all the above pictures to see everything this house has to offer. This house is fully furnished. It's not overly decorated - there's always room to add more, amirite? ...some of you clutter-a-holics out there Furniture/decos are all EAxis in-game stuff. The only CC items are build items, and they're all listed below.

All appliances, plumbing and lighting are included. There are three telephones: two in the main house, and one in the apartment over the garage. The front door is burglar alarmed. The range and both fireplaces have smoke alarms.

This is a clean copy of this house/lot; no sim has ever lived here. The package has been cleaned with Mootilda's Clean Installer. Pictures were taken with Invisible Fire Alarms in place, but the lot is packaged without that mod. So, you will see the fire alarm over the range in the kitchen and over the fireplaces in the living room and in the Master Bedroom.

There is parking available for three vehicles: two on the brick driveway, and one in the garage.

I use Niol/Moi's Roof Shader for brighter roofs
And, HW/Honeywell's A Little Greyer: Roof Trim Defaults
Then, if it's a Bespoke Roof recolor - it will be THESE adjusted versions by The Llama Park/Tumblr that you see used in the pictures.
(However, what you get in the packaged file, will either be the plain EA roof or the straight, un-modified Bespoke roof from the set here on MTS2.)
