Hi the Sims community,

I made a challenge to myself to create a story to my building, not a story that you have to read, but instead visually experience. You can tell by the odd but carefully made design choices that this building has a history to it.



The picture speaks to itself, forsaken and unloved comes to mind. However, in the spirit of the modern era, to recycle and re-use the old, the building is just a canvas for the creative mind. Anyone can tear the structure down and make a new, but is it possible to maintain its atmosphere?
The main goal was to preserve as much of the original building as possible, and with extensions create the necessary area needed to live.
The blueprint explains some highlights of the design choices to the house.



After a lot of indecisiveness , zapping through several different wall textures, fighting with ceiling bugs and other building tools, adding and removing windows over and over again, I came up with the final design.



It looks extremely simple, maybe too simple to appreciate, yet it's packed with many layers of ideas. Even the inside is a marriage of the old and new. Hopefully the story is there whether you read this message or not. Enjoy!
