Baby & Toddler Changing Overhaul

Mod Info

• This mod was built and tested with game version 1.69, but should work with v.1.67 as well.
• What type of mod is this? - This a script mod that overhauls changing a baby/toddler's diaper as well as the store changing table. This should go into your overrides folder.
• Animations - No new animations, however it swaps out some animations from the changing table to unused or rarely used EA ones.
• Translations - The change diaper interaction on the baby/toddler will appear in your game's language, however the rest of the interactions are currently only supported in English.

Summary: Sims will now need a diaper in order to change a baby or toddler. Diapers packs can be bought from the grocery store, you can get cheap ones that don't give a very good hygiene boost and have more chances of giving diaper rashes or you can get expensive ones that give a better hygiene score and have more diapers. If you have the store changing table, diaper changes will provide more hygiene when using it. This mod also fixes many issues that come with it.

Interaction Info

• Change Diaper: Sims will now need a diaper in order to change a baby or toddler. It doesn't have to be in their inventory, it just has to exist on the lot or in a diaper pack or basket. After changing, they will leave a dirty diaper on the floor, unless they are off the home lot or they used a changing table.

• Stock: Only used on diaper baskets. This will fill up the basket with 22 diapers, your sim needs to have either diapers or a diaper pack in their inventory in order for the interaction to show up.

• Enable/Disable Use Within Home: Only used on diaper packs. If this is set to disabled, sims will not use the diapers from the pack unless they are off the home lot, this only applies if it's in a sim's inventory.

Store Changing Table Overhaul

• Changing: If you put down a changing table on the lot, sims will change babies/toddlers there by default. If there is a diaper pack or basket with diapers slotted to the table, sims will automatically use a diaper from it, unless they have a diaper or diaper pack (that enables use at home) in their inventory, which they will prioritize using. Otherwise, they will search for a diaper around the lot. The changing animations have been swapped to quicker ones, and sims will now always powder babies/toddlers, although if their mood is low or they they have specific traits like Unlucky or Dislikes Children they will fail at powdering more often. A baby or toddler will have a higher chance of peeing while being changed if their bladder need is lower, and they will get a diaper rash moodlet from it.

• Bathing: Sims can still bathe babies and toddlers in it, but it also requires a diaper and is non-autonomous.

• Fixes: This mod implements Nona Mena's Don't Put the Baby Down fix, as well as re-attaches toddlers to adults after being changed or bathed so their root position doesn't get stuck to the table. Sims will no longer forcefully play with a baby or tickle a toddler after using the table as well.

Notes

- This mod only affects the active household. However, sims outside the active household will still need a diaper to change babies and toddlers within the active household.

- Diaper packs can only be bought from the store or in buydebug mode.

- Diapers and diaper packs can be stored within the changing table's inventory, but cannot be used while inside.

- The diaper rash and freshly powdered moodlets, as well as the animations from the changing table will only work if you have the original one from the store.

- Custom changing tables will not work unless you change their script with the Transmogrifier mod or with S3PE.

- Existing changing tables that were on the lot prior to installing the mod will need to be replaced in order for the overhaul to work.

- If you have Sandy's Diaper Box from ATS3, you can make it functional by installing the provided file, it will act as a cheap diaper pack that can also be bought from the store or the catalog.

Conflicts & Known Issues

This mod overrides the store changing table OBJK as well as the Change Diaper interaction on babies/toddlers, any other mod that modifies these will conflict.

Sometimes a diaper basket will glitch and allow more than 22 diapers, resulting in the diapers clipping outside of it. But can be fixed by manually taking out the additional diapers. Other than that, no known issues were found!
