This starter house is set up to get your sim started running their own business. There is a toy bench in the basement workshop, basic store furnishings (display shelves, cash register, open-closed sign) on the store level and basic furnishings for 1 or 2 sims in the owner's section upstairs. There is enough money left over for raw materials to make toys. Note that if you change out the toy bench for a flower making bench, you will have $500 more; if you change it out for a robot making bench, you will have $500 less.

If you have not run businesses before, then I'd advise you to have your sim get a job and just practice making toys (or flowers or robots) and selling them until you have a bit of cash saved up AND some inventory to sell. You may also want to display similar items for sale from the normal buy-mode catelog. So, if you have a toy store, you could offer the children's toys and toy box for sale as well as the toys that your sim crafts. That way, not everything you sell has to come from your owners inventory. Also, it never hurts to eventually add in some expensive items that 'go' with your store theme, such as paintings or statues. In the beginning, however, people will buy only the cheaper items.



Once your business gets going, you can hire an employee or two to help sell or make toys (flower, robots, whatever).

Here is the little house. I believe this lot only needs OFB+Nightlife as I have used only basic furniture. However, as I am not sure, I have checked off all the expansion packs I own.
