I originally started making Roarke from the In Death series by JD Robb and then realized he was going to need a place to live, so I delved into his mansion. Roarke, a man so wealthy that he owns shares in practically every business venture in the country, if not the world, lives in a very large stone house. In a scene from one of the books, a little girl asks his wife, Eve, if Roarke is "the prince" when she sees his house because it looks like a castle in her eyes. Sidenote: If I had had the same amount of rooms and made the lot more closely related in size to the linked information, this lot would not likely have been playable. I wanted to create a lot that had the feel and followed the general idea without it being too massive.

Various Details from various JD Robb books that I recreated:
  • Entry Foyer - had a "boldly patterned rug of red and teal" and French Impressionist paintings on the walls
  • Sitting Room - twin sofas with lush upholstry in sapphire and arts such as sculptures and glass
  • Dining Room - fireplace had rose-veined marble and crystal
  • Library - 2 floors, two generous seating areas, leather in the wood-trimmed deep burgundy sofas and chairs, jewel colors on glass lamp shades
  • Bedroom - large room with sitting area, fireplace of pale green stone, large bed of midnight blue
