Ever get tired of the same old general books in the book store? Well, I do. I would much rather see popular book titles in the store and have my sims obsess over those. This mod adds 20 popular book titles into the book store for your sims to by and take home with them!

Does not work with Supernatural or Patch 1.38! Download at your own risk! Works with Diesel patch and below!

You must have base game version 1.36 in order for this to work!

This is a mod that overrides the Books.xml file; it will conflict with any other mod that overrides the Books.xml (aka. any other book mod).

As of right now, this mod is only in English.



Step one) Navigate to the "General" tab in the book store menu
Step two) Select from the 20 new book titles offered
Step three) Buy items!


Each book has a unique name and author.



What it does
This mod adds 20 books to your sims' bookstore; it doesn't matter what town you live in. All bookstores will sell them.

Facts about added books:
Each book has a different length/time period that it takes for a sim to read them. The page numbers are an approximate match to the books in real life. Also, while in the book store, you are able to hover over each book to see its author, length, and genre.

Localizing:
Yes, the mod is only in English.. but if anyone would be willing to submit their translations of this, I will kindly accept them.
Instructions: Create an STBL resource, open the grid in s3pe, and then enter this code: Gameplay/Excel/Books/BookGeneral:BOOKNAME (obviously changing the "BOOKNAME" to a name of a book/author). Then, if there are authors that have more than one book, you only have to put their name in once. Once you get the instance for it, click into the blank field to the right of the window and enter the name of the book the way you would want to see it in game mode. This is a big task, but I can't thank you enough if you are choosing to help me out

Medium (Less than 500) books cost $10
Large (500+ Pages) cost $15
