Meet Drake Byrne. Drake, being a reptile, loves the heat and can tolerate high temperatures. He loves being outdoors, especially in the summer when it's hot, or when he is out tending his garden. Drake is a Witch (though I like to call him my Lizard Wizard... too good of a rhyme to waste) and sees humans as an inferior species, and often uses them for testing his spells and elixirs on. He doesn't like to socialize with humans and keeps to himself most of the time, preferring instead to contemplate the mysteries of life. Because of his isolation, he doesn't understand much of human humor, and is far too serious to tell jokes most of the time anyway.

Amethyst is a Witch, and is fascinated by humans. She enjoys socializing with humans to learn more about their culture, and knows how to learn what she wants to know through flattery. She is easily excitable, and loves to learn new things. She can be quite eccentric and much of what she does doesn't make much sense to the humans she talks to, nevertheless she is good at making friends. She has a passion for inventing and discovering new things.
