This is SimPE modernized, a 64 bit app running on .Net 8. The dependence on NVidia DDS utilities has been eliminated. The dependence on DirectX has been eliminated. It no longer relies on the Windows Registry for locating the game, but does a system scan. There are bugs, but the ones I know about are also in Quaxi's 0.75 version. To the best of my knowledge, everything works. I have tried to keep the original look, so that the existing tutorials will still work to help people. Please notify me of any bugs you find.

If you do not have a previous SimPE installation you will also need to download SimPEAppData. The contents of this folder go in Username/AppData/Roaming. AppData is a hidden Windows folder; you will need to go to FileExplorer>View>Show>Hidden items and be sure it has a checkmark in front of it to see AppData.

I am looking for somebody to take over maintenance of this app, so that I can move on t o the Linux and Mac versions, now made possible with .Net 8. Link to source code: https://github.com/rhiamom/SimPE-Fixed

Basic Download and Install Instructions:

1. Download: Click the download link to save the .rar or .zip file(s) to your computer.

2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.

3. Extract the files to a folder wherever you want the app to be. Click on SimPE.Main.exe to run the app.
