Move Out Options

This set of mods changes a few things about moving out: divide funds, choose sim bin, move teens to uni with pets, move out of college as a group, teens can move out, young adults stay young adults in main 'hood.

Divide funds option is similar to no20handouts, but here you get to decide the exact amount or even opt out and let leaving sims receive their free sim bin money aka "government aid".

I recommend running Hack Conflict Detection Utility to make sure these hacks don't clash with anything you have in your Downloads folder.


What are the Move Out Options?

Find Own Place via newspaper or computer
- Can divide funds or get "government aid"
- What hasn't changed. Can't move the whole family, only adults and elders can move out, can't leave kids or pets alone, same destination: in uni, sims move to uni bin, in normal 'hood, they move to normal bin (you may remember my testing version that had a pop-up asking to specify where to move, I removed it, because it's really a rare thing, to move sim to a different bin)
- With teensCanMoveOut addon, teens are allowed to move out

Find Own Place In Main or University Neighborhood via phone call
- Custom phone call that adds 2 new sub-menus to phones. This is how you choose sim bin if you want to move to normally unavailable one.
- Other than bin type choice, works like the regular move out described above

Move out of college after graduation or via "Move Back to Main Hood" phone call
- Can opt out and not move out when prompted by post-college time expiring or graduation party
- Available to graduated/dropped out young adults, adults and elders living in uni
- Young adults age up during this event, if they haven't already
- Can divide funds or get "government aid"
- Whole family is allowed (can leave empty lot), except for currently enrolled young adults, and can't leave kids or pets alone
- This part works like my move-out-of-college, you can remove that mod (or keep it, the resources are the same, so doesn't matter)

Move out to college as a teen
- Can take money from funds or get default stipend; scholarships are added in any case
- Can bring other resident teens and pets
- Can (!) leave kids or pets behind or leave as a last person on lot

Move out after divorce
- Can opt out and not move out when prompted by divorce
- Can choose bin via pop-up, but only in unusual cases: if the sim is an adult/elder living on campus, or is a young adult living in normal sub-hood
- Lastly, can divide funds or get "government aid"

Move in
- Can decide how much money a sim brings when moves in. I recommend also getting my MoveInAssets, there are some fixes included there. This mod here gives the basic ability to set the amount

So, all that was mostly about Move Out Options, now on to a few complimentary files.


Young Adults Stay Young Adults In Main Hood
- Young adults aren't automatically "fixed" into adults in main 'hood on lot load and on moving in
- 3 versions are different about what to do with dormies when your sim moves one in. Currently only works for friendly move in, not marriage. Playable young adults stay young adults, you don't get to insta-graduate them.

Choose ONE version:
- YA-stay-YA-in-main-hood-Playables - playables stay YA, dormies age up and graduate, drop out, or get expelled (depends on the inviting sim's uni history)
- YA-stay-YA-in-main-hood-Decide - playables stay YA, for dormies you decide via pop-up message, should they graduate, drop out, or stay a student in the main 'hood
- YA-stay-YA-in-main-hood-All - all young adults that set foot in main 'hood stay young adults


Teens Can Move Out
- Mini addon that lets teens find own place


Conflict Resolving
- no20handouts - you'd have to remove it, unless you prefer automatic funds dividing, in which case you don't really want my mod
- my move-out-of-college - you can remove it, it's included in this mod
- my MoveInAssets - keep it, not really a conflict, the "conflicting" dialog strings are identical in both mods, load order doesn't matter
- InTeen - not sure, try and see how it works

May conflict with other mods that override the same resources.


Recommended Mods
- Pets at University, if you plan on bringing pets to uni
- Maternity for young adults and all that, especially uni-aging and teens-stay-teens, if you plan on having non-young adults in uni sub-hood
- MoveInAssets Fixed & Improved, if you'd like funds to be adjusted more accurately when you move in playables from other households
