A person doing the restock job will prefer the closest and more valuable items in the same room and on the same floor, like with cleaning. An employee will be more responsive to commands when idle. With the default item selection, he might go to another room if the distance to an item as measured through walls was less. Valuable items take the same length of time to restock but earn more money to the shop. Craftable items not available in the inventory will not be attempted to get restocked. No messages will be shown about them.

While on restock job, the person can handle short interactions without quitting, such as execute a sales social to a customer, react to weather, answer the cellular phone, close the shop, assign a cashier, or be directed to walk to another position and work there.
