Description:
Two two-story houses on a small lot, inspired by this request (for smaller lot sizes). The houses have almost but not quite identical floorplans, a small garden with porch in the back and a balcony. Livable basement, fully furnished plus spare rooms, no room for driveways, some landscaping/decoration.

Each house has

2 x double bedroom
2 x bathroom
1 x kitchen/dining
1 x dining/living room
2 x spare room (unfurnished)
1 x spare room/bathroom (unfurnished)

Basic appliances included: lights, toilets, shower or bathtub, fridge, kitchen sink, phone, burglar alarm, smoke detector, bookshelf. The left house also has a stove, easel, chessboard and swing, the right one a telescope, stove, TV, and a dresser.

Recommended hack: You need to assign the doors somehow so that your sims know which house is theirs. I think if you have OfB you can use the locking doors funcionality for that, otherwise get hold of Inge Jones' lockable doors or the access management system (formerly simlogical.com, site is closed =( ... not sure where the best archive is but there are a handful). Or if you only play one house anyway, you can just block the doors to the other one with a chair or something, then you won't need any hacks.


Note:
If you get an "expansion pack data required" error upon installation, use Clean Installer instead of the Maxis one. Apparently this is a known issue (not specific to this download), see this thread describing the problem and this post (daysies) explaining the workaround.
