Amarna - Ancient Egypt

Hi All

Its been a while since I uploaded anything, been busy but hey... Finally got round to doing a replica - almost identical!! of a home in ancient Egypt.

This house is based on the ruins and floor plan of a merchants home found on the site of Amarna in Egypt.

My boyfriend created it but as he doesn't have a profile here he asked me to upload it for him.

Included are.
Chapel. Private worship.
Main house - family only.
Staff quarters and kitchen.

The chapel is a small building to the left of the main entrance to the house. Next comes of course the main house hosting a large passageway leading into the great room which was a combination lounge/dining room. Theres a stepped platform which I've used as a sun room. Next is the Harem, unlike most perceptions a harem was not a sexual place it was just the section of the house designated for the women. Here I've furnished it lightly for your sim ladies. Leading from the harem are two smaller bedrooms for the ladies and to the left the master bedroom and shower rooms.

Most Egyptians showered for cleanliness. The idea of bathing in water was almost alien to them. Even the Queen Cleaopatra only bathed as a beauty treatment not to get clean. Hence my bathrooms are equipped only with showers.

There is also a large terrace and study completing the main house.

Staff quarters hold the stables, two large workshops, one of which I converted to a bathroom for your servants. The original plan doesn't show staff bathing facilities. The other workshop I've equipped with the three stations from OFB for robotics, toys and flowers. Next is the large staff dormitory and finally the kitchens with three small sotre rooms, one hosts the dishwasher, the next the trash compactor and finally the last hosts just a sink.

Outside is mostly sand and palm trees, there are wooden grain silos. as the original owner was a grain merchant - lol. Plus leading from the main house is a small private garden complete with lawn and flowers.

Its sits on the 5x5 lot. Needs OFB and I think NL.

196'445 simoleons but it is basically furnished for all your sim needs. Bookcases, a jacuzzi in the harem, piano, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms are all ready!
