This is from the lovely online archive of Sears Modern Homes floor plans. The Sears Modern Homes were basically mail-order houses; you would receive the materials and plans and build the house yourself. The archive stretches from 1908 to 1940 so it can be pretty interesting to look through them and see the changing styles over the years.

Anyway, in my opinion Sears did a pretty good job of representing a wide variety of styles that are still functional as homes. I like my sims to live in realistic houses (for the most part!) so I decided to start a little series.

So, I present to you the second in my series of Sears Modern Homes - The Maytown!

The entire lot from above, plus the original picture and floor plan from the Sears catalog.
