This is from the lovely online archive of Sears Modern Homes floor plans. The Sears Modern Homes were basically mail-order houses; you would receive the materials and plans and build the house yourself. The archive stretches from 1908 to 1940 so it can be pretty interesting to look through them and see the changing styles over the years.

Anyway, in my opinion Sears did a pretty good job of representing a wide variety of styles that are still functional as homes. I like my sims to live in realistic houses (for the most part!) so I decided to start this series.

I present to you the third in my series of Sears Modern Homes - The Lexington!

There are two different versions of this lot included here: Furnished and Unfurnished.

Furnished:
-Completely finished, down to the lights and decorations. Ready to start playing without hitting Buy Mode first.
-Contains some custom content, mostly doors.
-Requires Bon Voyage, Seasons, Open for Business, and Nightlife

Unfurnished:
-Nothing inside except wallpaper, floors, and doors.
-Contains no custom content.
-Requires only Open for Business and Nightlife, so if you don't have Seasons and BV, this is the version for you.
-Price: $29,404

Make sure you check the file name so that you get the one you want. I didn't include pictures of the unfurnished version because it looks almost identical from the outside. I replaced the custom content doors with similar looking Maxis-made doors.

Not Included But Pictured: Old Tire Swing by Phaenoh. This seems like the type of house that would have a tire swing in the back yard, so I couldn't resist showing it off in the pictures.
