Background
The Investing Aspiration benefit generates money to the household every 16:00, depending on the amount of cash the household has on hand. By default, it is in practice underpowered and can be useless for households with less than 10,000 (poor by my standard), often unable to generate over 500 each day, not to mention losses. Conversely, it is overpowered, to the point of absurdity, for household with above 100,000 (wealthy by my standard), as investment can generate 5,000 and more everyday, leading to an exponential growth of household wealth and rendering most methods of income redundant.

I consider default Investing to be comparable to running a store 5 days a week, 6 hours a day with Simlogical Auto Restocker set to free. More, as it requires no effort at all.

This mod simply rebalances investment. Poorer households are not held back by low funds, while richer households do benefit from addition earnings without being too absurd. Moreover, Sims with high Aspiration bars will be rewarded as positive yields occur more often, and the size of yields will grow as more Sims have the Aspiration benefit.


Features
General
  • Each Investor Counts: All investment earnings\losses are generated for every Sim with the benefit - more investors equal bigger results!
  • 2-part Earning\Loss: A random but independent amount useful for poor households, and a scaling addition for wealthy households.
  • Aspiration Bar-based: Chance of success is dictated by the level of each investor's Aspiration bar.
  • High Aspiration bar gives a higher chance, and negative bar gives a lessened chance.

Chance of Success
  • Chance of success is based on the Aspiration bar color. It is also based on individual basis - previous version was based on average bars.
  • Perma-Platinum: 99%
  • Platinum: 90%
  • Gold: 75%
  • High Green: 60%
  • Low Green: 50%
  • Red: 49% to 1%; gradually decreasing and stopping before the lower red section
  • Normal version uses discrete bonus - maxed platinum and borderline platinum enjoy the same 90% chance.
  • Compensation for Sims whose platinum bars decay to gold during the investment hour.
  • Always expect losses, even at platinum, and do not invest in the red!
  • Gradient version uses continuous bonus - better chance starts at high green from 51% and can go up to 99% at maxed platinum - more potential than normal version!

Earnings and Losses
  • Base earning\loss ranges from 450 to 2,250, and is always recalculated on individual basis.
  • Base earning\loss is independent of household wealth.
  • Addition earning\loss if the household has more than 100,000. The amount is 50 per every 10,000 above said threshold.
  • Addition earning\loss is capped at 4,500, which is for household above 1,000,000.
  • Addition earning\loss is randomly multiplied and can vary by 50% to 150%, and is again recalculated on individual basis.

Investment earnings no longer counts towards personal wealth. This will make the Wants of earning money more difficult.

This mod incorporates cyjon's No Community Stock Market by default. It is however, changed to allow investment while on vacation (guests do not count).


Issues
If there are a lot of Sims investing (8+ and rich household), and the total earning\loss exceeds the integer cap of 32,768, the text message may report incorrect amount. Actual change should still be correct, however, as all fund additions and subtractions are done on individual basis.
