The phone call with the payout will be made during daytime after a delay. The printed novel will also be delivered with a delay. The call will be retried up to four times if missed. The author's cellular phone will ring.

Novels can be written on any lot type but need to be finished at home to receive the call. The action will tell the player to return home or purchase a phone if he doesn't have one before the novel gets published.

The completion progress is indicated on the pie menu, with an overhead meter or a text notification if the person hasn't maxed creativity yet. The small daily want to write a novel will be satisfied after half an hour of writing.

The plot elements dialog will be shown at the end to allow matching the cover to the title. Cancel to keep the previously picked elements. There is an option to enter a longer title by pressing cancel on the naming dialog where the novel gets scrapped. This is done by repeadly adding new words in backwards order. Due to the awkwardness, this is not shown at first.

The payment now depends on the skill that the author had during writing. If he wrote a portion of the novel with low skill, then later raised the skill, the money amount will now remain lower. The first novel is unlikely to turn out great. Both the creativity skill and literature enthusiasm now combine for the maximum reward.

The Restaurant Guide available to pleasure aspiration works the same way. Custom content memories by Gummilutt will be added after a restaurant guide is written. People who have reached a high level in journalism, culinary or slacker careers or have eaten numerous different foods may write a restaurant guide if they have enthusiasm. As a cheat, having ten salt and pepper table decorations in the inventory will also allow it.

Depends on FreeTime and the book helper object included with it. Only overrides the two writing scripts in the computer, and is compatible with mods that change the computer object in other ways.
