Xiasi hound is a hunting breed, mainly found in southwest China.
In 2010, Xiasi hound was listed in the China National Genetic Resources Directory of domesticated animals.
Xiasi hounds come in different coat lengths, and Ricy is a rather fluffy one. However, their signature scruffy fur cannot be recreated in The Sims 3, so you can just pretend that Ricy has already got groomed, lol!

You can view an official introduction of the Xiasi hound here.
This is a Chinese website, and I am translating a passage from it:
“The Xiasi hound has a beautiful original name:“白龙犬”——White loong Hound ........... According to legend, during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty(AD1736~AD1795), a provincial governor discovered the White loong Hound, which excelled at hunting, while inspecting the Guizhou(a province in southwest China). Knowing that Emperor Qianlong loved hunting, the governor purchased the Dog and presented it to the emperor. During a hunting expedition, Emperor Qianlong brought the Bailong Dog along. The dog took the lead, quickly tracking and chasing down a wild boar, successfully capturing it. Emperor Qianlong was overjoyed and wanted to reward the dog. He asked the governor for the dog's name. In ancient China, the emperor was referred to as the "True loong". But if the dog is loong , what the emperor should be ? The governor wanted to avoid offending Emperor , and renamed the breed after the local place on the spot, calling it the Xiasi hound. From then on, the name White loong Hound fell into disuse, but the fame of the Xiasi hound was established.”
