Force your employees to show up [UPDATED 2026-08-14]

I'm baaaack! (at least for a while).

This mod adds a cheating option to the Open/Close business sign: a "Call Employees" menu option that bypasses their check for discontent and mandatory rest.



It won't affect overall gameplay, it will present itself as an option only when you specifically call for it - either because you made a mistake, or you need to test something, or just for plain cheating, why not? Your game, your choice!

There are two versions:
  • marhis-force-summonemployees.package - the option shows up only when debug mode is enabled, by shift-clicking on the sign.
  • marhis-force-summonemployees-always.package - the option always shows up in the menu, whether you're in debug mode or not.

For the cheat option, open the console (ctr-shift-C), write boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true and press Enter. Now shift-click on the sign and the new option will show up.

POSSIBLE CONFLICTS
Any mod that alters the Open/Close sign's pie menu functions (TTAB) and strings (TTAs) [Group 0x7F170050]
Otherwise, the BHAVs are new additions to the menu, so they won't clash with any other mod that alters the sign's BHAVs.

Addeed a warning message when an employee is discontent (low wages), so you'll know that regardless of the forced showing up, they would quit afterwards if you don't give them a raise.



I've also made a new mod that adds this warning message to the standard "summon employee" function, so no more employees that won't come because they've skilled elsewhere: you will now have a chance to fix that!
