Introduction:

This mod adds two new Old West-era themed careers to the game: A Cowboy Career and a Bandit Career. Both Careers have ten levels.

The Old West can be a difficult place to live, but for those with the skills (and a sufficient level of power), anything and everything is for the taking. Great Cattle Ranches dot the length and breadth of the Old West, and joining one of these ranches is a great way to set yourself and your family up for life. Or maybe you want to become a lawman? The town is always looking for new deputies to assist in the rounding up of dangerous outlaws and criminals. Just keep your pistol well-maintained and handy at all times. – Cowboy Career Description

If you’re looking for a quick way to make some money and don’t mind using violence to get what you want, maybe being a Bandit is the path for you. The roads are dangerous enough at the best of times thanks to the roving groups of Bandits hoping to steal and murder to take what they need. As long as you can avoid the long arm of the law you’ll make a (literal) killing in this job. Banditry is a type of organized crime committed by outlaws typically involving the threat or use of violence. A person who engages in banditry is known as a bandit and primarily commits crimes such as extortion, robbery, kidnapping, and murder, either as an individual or in groups. – Bandit Career Description

Rabbitholes: The Cowboy career is situated in the Equestrian Centre rabbithole (and will therefore require that one is already in your game world, which is provided by The Sims 3: Pets expansion pack), while the Bandit career is situated in the Warehouse rabbithole.

Work Tones (Both):
  • Business as Usual
  • Work Hard
  • Take it Easy
  • Hang Out with co-workers
  • Gamble in the Saloon (Gambling + Logic + Fun)
  • Practise Horse Riding (Riding + Athletic)
  • Maintain your Guns (Handiness + Inventing)
  • Mine Rocks (Collecting + Athletic)

JOB LEVELS – COWBOY:

JOB LEVELS – BANDIT:

The Cowboy career branches once after level four, where you can go into either the Ranch Hand or Sheriff branch. Both careers focus on the Handiness and Horse Riding Skills.

Also the Bandit career requires that you have the NRAAS Assassination Skill mod installed in order for it to work. This is because the NRAAS Assassination Skill is used as both a career progression metric as well as for some of the opportunities used in the career.

Note that the Bandit Career WILL CONFLICT with my own Medieval Bandit Career Mod, so please only use one of them in your game at a time.

If you can't find the Cowboy career in your game make sure that there is an the Equestrian Centre rabbithole in your world.
