*NO* JITTERS AFTER ESPRESSO / *BIG* JITTERS AFTER ESPRESSO

02 MAR 2008: UPDATE + BUGFIX for "No Jitters":
  • "No Jitters" mod updated to work with FreeTime; now drinking coffee correctly generates enthusiasm for the Cuisine hobby.
  • Removed a bug that occurred in Seasons: drinking coffee didn't warm up the sims.
  • Removed the jitters from the three more objects: Coffee Machine (base game), Espresso Cart (University) and Modern Coffee Machine (FreeTime).

Please note that the "Big Jitters" mod has NOT been updated nor fixed: it would have required a much bigger work and frankly - being it a nothing more than a joke - it wasn't worthwhile; therefore, the "Big Jitters" mod still prevents coffee from generating enthusiasm or warming up the sims.

These mods work in any game

1) *NO* Jitters After Espresso

I have to thank Daysies for having requested this global hack, because I've been wanting to do it for a long time, but I always had something else to do...

As an Italian, I drink quite a lot of espresso (more or less, 5 cups a day), and I never (repeat: *never*) had that Parkinson-like "shaking" side effect.

Therefore, here is a global hack to get rid of the jitters that affect the sims every time they take an espresso.

This global hack is considered finished (no more in testing): I've personally tested it in several different games, from the base game to FreeTime, but caution is always advisable when dealing with global hacks.

To prove that the hack works, I provide a screenshot: as you can see, the sim is perfectly standing still!!!

2) *BIG* Jitters After Espresso

First off, let me state clearly that the "BIG Jitters" hack is not compatible with the "NO Jitters" hack: you can have ONLY ONE at the same time! That's why I'm posting it here instead of creating a new thread.

While creating the "NO Jitters" hack, I thought that it would be fun to see what would happened if the sims would have suffered for double intensity jitters after a coffee, and so tried this hack. Well, it IS funny! Not particularly realistic, but funny
The "BIG Jitters After Espresso" hack is the result of my try: it *doubles* the shakings of the sims after they got their espresso.

Shake, rattle and roooooooooooooooll! :mdance:
