The "Newspaper - More Fun And Longer Crossword Puzzle - Universal" mod will override the original Maxis newspaper BCONs to boost the Fun motive while the Sim is reading the newspaper and/or doing the crossword puzzle.

The mod also lengthens the amount of time to allow a Sim to do a crossword puzzle and gain at least a Logic skill point and maybe half of another Logic skill point from start to end.

NOTE:

This mod will conflict with other newspaper mods affecting the Fun motive and/or the crossword puzzle, but I doubt the mod will conflict with other mods affecting the newspaper boy or girl, delivery times or delivery charges for bringing the newspaper to the lot.

No EP is needed to use the mod.
