In The Sims 1 and The Sims 3, there will be slightly delay for firefighter or cop to come to sim's lot, but in sims 2, firefighter and cop comes almost instantly after they have been summoned, either using phone or using alarm/fire detector. For me, this is not fun. So I made this mod.

First things first :
Compatibility :
This mod should be compatible with base-game-only and of course with any EP/SP.

What does this mod do ?
This mod will delay firefighter for 15-45 minutes (randomly picked. I love suprise factor :D) and cop for 1-12 minutes, that's it.
Story wise : cops are likely patroling in your neighborhood so there is big chances they can come quicker than firefighters who usually stand by in their office
Game wise : burglar is very fast!! if I give cop delay as firefighter has, it can be assured that the cop will never arrest the burglar, except may be you live in the tallest floor of an apartment

Conflicts :
So far, I found no conflict when I tried it in my game. But of course, technically, this mod will conflict with other mods that override this game resource :
  • Schedule - NPC - Once (BHAV, Group : 0x7FD46CD0, instance : 0x02E4) -> Old version, one before 4/13/2018. There is bug in this version where sims freeze when make phone call until the car comes. No error found if car triggered by alarm though
  • Generate - NPC - For Job (BHAV, Group : 0x7F95DD73, instance : 0x1008) -> 4/13/2018 version or newer


Flavours:
There are 3 flavours uploaded for this mod. Just choose one of your choice. Those flavours are :
- Delay the firefighter and also cop
- Delay firefighter only
- Delay cop only
Those three have different filename each, but use same resources, thus will override one another if you installed more that one flavour.

Install :
Just put my mod in Downloads folder of your sims 2 data. If this mod does not work, try to change the load order, like rename my mod to "z_pqw_firefighter_police_delay.package"
