Apartment Life generates 50 Social Class townies regardless of any apartment presence or previous townies' existence, this mod caps them to only 5 (one of each kind)
think of them as special NPCs like Nightlife's Diva, Mr. Big and the slobs so now there's an actual reason to look for and befriend them

this is meant to be used with mods that open up apartments to more NPC types, specially regular townies (see Recommended section) so your game still has characters to use as neighbours
I've also changed BCON's labels so they're easier to understand in case you'd like to tweak values

HELP NEEDED, PLEASE READ
this mod was born after I visited a hobby lot and it was empty
I noticed it happened because I've got no townies and Social Class ones are not given any hobby enthusiasm, so no character was eligible as hobby visitor, Cyjon's Enthusiasm Seeder does not seem to affect them
I tested this one alone in a fresh neighbourhood, and no regular townies were generated either

I need your help to know if this is how the game works after Apartment Life, no longer generating regular townies, only social class ones replacing them
if this is true and you play in a neighbourhood without townies you can still generate them with the NPC and Townie Maker (or the mailbox) so your 'hood won't be almost empty, but I've also included a version of the mod that caps them to 25 (five of each kind) just like regular townies used to be, if you use this one you might not need any apartment neighbours mod

sounds cool on paper, Social Class Townies are like an enhanced and more detailed version of regular townies, who will miss them if they're suppressed in favour of Social Class? but...
  • as I said, empty hobby lots if no pre-made regular townies exist (I will keep investigating)
  • they seem to only use Apartment Life outfits for everyday, this gets even more annoying if you use re-categorizers or Custom Content
