My first ever dorm build! This build is based on The Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire, England. I saw an article about this building in my Chrome app out of all places, and I just thought the building is so buildable in The Sims since it's just a bunch of rectangles with a ton of windows, and only 3 to 4 floors tall.

This dorm has 3 floors with 17 dorm rooms in total. Each floor has a common area, 2 shower rooms, and 4 toilets. On the first floor, there is a grand dining area with the cafeteria worker included of course, and then leading to the grand staircase, there is a grand piano and a violin to train your sim's creativity skill and get extra cash with play for tips. On the second floor, there is a gym as well as a pool table to have some fun with your dorm mates. On the third floor, you have the painting room if your sim's preferred method of gaining creativity skills or earning money is through painting, as well as the library/computer room where your sim could focus on writing their papers.

Each room is equipped with a double bed, a desk and a chair, a dresser, a full-length mirror, a nightstand, and two table lamps. The common area has an old-timey TV and stereo, a chess table, a bookcase, and three sofas. I expect all the furniture in this dorm to stay put once your sim graduates

I have playtested this dorm for a sim semester and the bills are about ยง780. But!! I think it's totally worth it since the building is historical, the furnitures are classic, and the amenities are better than your typical dorm. I also like to think that the people living here are either rich or academically gifted and always receive the highest grant every semester, so it shouldn't be an issue paying this amount.

If you want to turn this into a residential lot like a mansion that is also an option. I just found out that this building was used as the exterior of Malfoy Manor in Harry Potter, so you can absolutely use this build as a shell!

Custom contents used:
- 3 colonial windows in Bespoke Build Set by Honeywell
- Myne door custom recolors in Maxis Specialty Doors - Part 1 by Michelle
- JustADoor custom recolors in 3 Maxis Base-Game Interior Doors Recolored by iCad

Mods used:
- Shiftable Everything - Move Any Object Up and Down by Lamare

I recommend installing all the CCs before installing this lot especially the windows since they're a custom mesh. The mod is not required since the object would stay in place even if you don't have it, but I would still recommend getting it since it's such a neat mod to have.

I hope you like this build!
