Maxis Open **Recolorable Stairs** - Slaves
chicOpen.jpg - width=750 height=516
euroOpen.jpg - width=750 height=505
storybookOpen.jpg - width=750 height=520
Apparently the range of numbers I have for my modular stairs conflict with some from Shakeshaft. If you have those stairs please redownload and replace the script file with the new ones.
These stairs require my original Recolorable Maxis Stairs as they take there texture from those.
I have three of my recolorable stairs that I have made open underneath, each one is slaved to my recolorable stair.

Chic Stairs - Base Game

Euro Stairs - Requires OFB

Storybook Stairs - Requires OFB

ZIP includes:
* Stair mesh
* Script file
Installation:
* Get the original Recolorable Stairs here
* Place in your downloads folder.
* Place script text file in your Scriptorium_ModularStairs folder in your Downloads folder.
-or- for Windows users
*Append your C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\TSData\Res\Catalog\Scripts\modularstairs.txt file with the contents of the script file included in the package.
-or- for Mac users
*Append your \Applications\The Sims 2\TSData\Res\Catalog\Scripts\modularstairs.txt file with the contents of the script file included in the package.
To Use:
* Place stairs normally
* Use Recolor tool to recolor individual stairs - if having difficulty with 2nd step, go down one floor.
To Recolor:
* Use the original Recolorable Modular Stairs
Additional Credits:
I am very grateful to Numenor who orginally answered my question on correctly linking my BHAV to the stairs.
Polygon Counts:
All Polys are less than the originals
Chic Stairs - 94 (step only) -1496 (step w/two rails) These vary based on the step/rail combination used
Euro Stairs - 226 (step only) -1410 (step w/two rails) These vary based on the step/rail combination used
Storybook Stairs - 316 (step only) -1208 (step w/two rails) These vary based on the step/rail combination used
This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below for more information.
