New Orleans, Louisiana--my birth town--is definitely where my heart is at. One of the traits about New Orleans that I love is the architecture, and I've always wanted to build something "Orleans-esque". My all time favorite place to be is in the French Quarter because I love the houses down there. The architecture in the French Quarter is so rich and diverse that it was hard for me to pick a particular style. But, I settled on a more modern townhouse that I've seen before.

On of my favorite feature about these styles of homes is the interior floor plans. To eliminate wasted space, some apartments and townhouses don't have large halls. Instead the rooms tend to open into each other. I tried my best to recreate that look.
Also, another characteristic of these types of townhouses is the slightly dated interior. I decorated the walls with lots of frilly, garish wallpapers and dark wood floors to give it that worn in, antique feel.

This house is designed to fit up to three sims comfortably. It has a garage, laundry room, living room, study nook, kitchen, dining room, 2 bedrooms and one bath.
There is a "balcony" on the second floor, however it's inaccessible. In real life, small balconies like this don't have a door to them. Instead, you're supposed to crawl through the window. Weird...but true!
568 Decatur Street is built on a tiny 10x10 lot. The townhouse takes up a good 98% of the lot, so that way you could place several of these side-by-side to create a compact urban setting. Or even squeeze this between other building to mimic a downtown, city look.
There is almost no CC needed. The only thing you need is the scalloped roof (mint) by QBUILDERZ found here.
My intention was to make this base game only, but the CC from Ambitions was just too perfect for this style of home to pass up. Therefore, you'll need Base Game, World Adventures and Ambitions to install this house.

Install Instructions
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
